Here we are. We don't need new dang frills!

Confession time. I have never been to Brooklyn! I visit my daughter frequently since her move, but have never made it over the bridge. That changed yesterday! My daughter said it best, " this is the only burrito I would stand in line for!" Those homemade tortillas were crazy delicious. We had the frijoles, Colorado and mole. I could have bathed in those beans, not grainy at all and just exploded with flavor with those fresh salsas! I foresee tremendous success. I can say that because my daughter told her elementary school teacher I was " psycho". When the teacher called about it, I told her I was fairly sure she meant psychic. But I know what I tasted and it was outstanding.

Being an LA native, my outlook on Mexican food in New York is beyond bleak. This seems to be a hot take out here, which just sort of makes me laugh. I get hit with "there's this one spot in Jackson Heights that's AMAZING, you don't know what you're talking about you bum transplant..." One spot deep in Jackson heights!?! In LA you can get good Mexican food damn near everywhere... but I digress. A fellow LA to NY transplant informed me about Los Burritos Juarez that just opened in Brooklyn 2 days earlier, and she said the burritos held up with our nose-in-the-air LA Mexican food standards. I was shocked when I pulled up and this place was POPPIN. Standing room only. I felt the aura. I guess Chef Alan Delgado is the mastermind behind this place, who was previously the Director of R&D at the Michelin starred Oxomoco. He has the juice. I took a look at the menu as I waited in line, and saw a burrito was only $11. My goodness. A good burrito at a reasonable price in New York City!?! GOD STEPPED IN. However, when I got to the front of the line the gentleman taking my order informed me it would be about an hour wait. An hour!?!? Oof... but I came all the way out here so I ordered a Verde beef burrito ($11), chips and guac ($8), and a Mexican coke for the plot. When I ordered, the guy sheepishly said "If you're really hungry, you should order 2 burritos." I imagine he saw the desperate look of confusion on my face as he followed up with "they're pretty small..." Damn. I knew it was too good to be true. He wasn't lying either. I ended up adding a chicken mole burrito to my order, and sat there for 54 minutes watching them make these "burritos." They give you a tiny spoonful of beans as the base layer on a fresh handmade flour tortilla, and one scoop of meat before they wrap it up. It's really a mini burrito. I was disappointed, but at $11 what could I expect? 2 of them was still more food than the typical burrito and at $22, it's about right in line with market price for a NYC burrito. I also can eat like a small horse, so I will acknowledge that the general population may prefer these smaller portions. Portion sizes aside, this quality was FANTASTIC. Phenomenal. Sensational. The tortilla is a true Mexican flour tortilla with a thick, pillowy texture. You can see them handmaking each one right there in front of you. Guac was clearly made fresh in house too. I preferred the chicken mole to the grass fed beef verde, but both had me giving an audible "damn..." Just a blast of flavor on every bite, and the fresh salsa they provide takes it up a notch. All in all, a damn good "burrito" and making me slowly respect the NYC Mexican food scene more and more. If this was closer to me, I'd be living in here. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

The beef & potato burrito rolled, also with beans on it, great flavor to every element.

Really delicious burritos, completely different than what you're used to. They hand roll and cook the tortillas in front of you, fill them with the delicious fillings, wrap 'em and hand 'em to you. Of course...there's so much demand right now that there's about a ~20 minute gap between when you order and when all that happens, but they're doing their best given the crazy amount of people showing up to this storefront that had been empty for years. Everyone working there seems super engaged and working their asses off to meet the demand. I went on the Sunday of labor day weekend and we were lucky as they ran out of food while we waited for ours, this happened at about ~6:20pm. Vibe in the joint is lively and modern, not necessarily uncomfortable seating, but not the most comfortable either - it has a "hey enjoy yourself, eat your burrito, and then give somebody else space to eat theirs" feeling. I'm just super thrilled that another very good spot has arrived on Myrtle, for so long it was barren and it's really taking off.

Perhaps the softest, fluffiest tortillas I've ever had. Los Burritos Juarez had a line (understandable), but the people here work that line like it's the marines. They were churning out burritos left and right and yet, there wasn't a single miss. I got the verde burrito and the queso quesadilla; both were delicious. The verde burrito had a nice kick to it and the brisket was flavored so well and was nice and tender. I'm not a fan of beans but they were superb here. And the quesadilla was just a perfect, gooey cheesy thing. This place is special. Get in line and get ready to grub.

Stumbled into here while passing by. I got the Colorado burrito and a concha. The handmade tortillas are soft and warm, nicely wrapping the slow-cooked pulled pork. The bun was soft with a sweet crust. Place is small and has limited seating. Service and turnover was quite fast. I'd love to come back when I'm in the area next time!

A very abbreviated menu which made this lunch fantastic

Living in Los Angeles and Chicago (now) for so many years, I've been unbelievably spoiled with some of the best Mexican food outside of D.F. (Look that up)! Los Angeles has East L.A. and Chicago has Pilsen, both a "Hot Bed" of this cuisine. Here in Brooklyn, there's a new sheriff in town - Los Burritos Juarez making ridiculously good burritos. The beauty behind this Old Pop-Up / New Restaurant is their very brief menu! Having just a few items on their menu, makes sure that each listed will item be prepared exactly like the chef wants it; as opposed to a restaurant that had 75 things on their menu and nothing id done right. Our lunch consisted of: One Colorado Burrito with guajillo braised pork - delicious One Verde Burrito with beef and potatoes braised in salsa verde - delicious One Frijoles con Queso Burrito with pinto beans and chihuahua cheese - delicious One Mole Burrito with chicken braised in a pasilla and almond mole - delicious Us two split these four and we enjoyed the hell out of them. This place is very popular and gets crowded quickly.

Amazing burritos! Perfect portions! The tortillas are perfect! A must go to. Get there early!

Friendly, fluffy, and delicious. Lines are longer in the weekends, but no wonder: that's when they serve fantastic flavored conchas.

Hectic and disorganized. The staff mixed up my order, I never got my food, and felt patronized when I complained. A real shame.

Simple fresh and delicious. Great for a classic skinny burrito. Making it a regular go to spot in the neighborhood.

It's a step above chipotle but only just. Slop ladled out of containers. Cheap and filling but in no way is it a burrito

Got the bean and cheese burrito and it was so salty to the point it was inedible. They also forgot to include salsa.

Our reservation was for 8:30pm, but we arrived early and Alejandra, the hostess, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Even though she was ready to seat us, we decided to hang at the bar until the rest of our party arrived and that was the perfect move. Alkarys behind the bar was top-tier. She recommended the Siempre Reposado, and let me tell you... smooth, clean, dangerously good. If you're into tequila, that's a must. Now let's talk about the food. We ordered the quesadilla, rajas, tamales, tacos, and the queso fundido and every single dish hit. The queso fundido came out bubbling, rich, perfectly melted with that pull you want when you scoop it up. The tamales were moist and packed with flavor, wrapped beautifully and clearly made with care. The rajas had that perfect balance of roasted pepper sweetness and savory depth. The tacos? Authentic, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor, no shortcuts. Even the quesadilla stood out, crispy on the outside with that perfectly melted interior. Everything felt traditional, elevated but still true to its roots. You can taste the authenticity. Service was attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance was super casual and laid back, the kind of Brooklyn spot you pull up to for a real dinner experience, not just a quick bite. Highly recommend this place if you're out and about in Brooklyn. Definitely coming back for the tequila, the queso fundido, and round two of those tacos. I'm gonna try eating at the bar to check out the spot in the front of the house.

4.4 and rounded up. Ambiance 4 stars…read more Food 5 stars. Service 4.3 stars. AMBIANCE: Walking to the restaurant from the subway, it's located on an unassuming block at the corner of 4th St and Havemeyer in Williamsburg, front of store doesn't particularly stand out. Walking in they've decorated with creative, crafty (in a good way) touches--the multitude of ropes draped from the ceiling add dimension to the ceiling and the bar back wall is composed of wood pieces forming a multi-colored herringbone pattern. Textured glass pendant lights hanging from the ceiling throw mini geometric patterns across the dark walls, and vibrant canvas artworks add pictorial interest along the walls. FOOD: YUM. I can see why this place was jam packed on a Saturday night, and reservations are needed. Strong recommendation for their tasting menu at $58 pp, what a delightful meal! 8 sharing dishes and 3 desserts were perfect for a party of five, and drinks are separate though you can add a cocktail pairing for $47. For each main they provide a serving per person, and the desserts are shared. I came hungry and was so full by the end of the meal--everything was delicious! - grapefruit guacamole w/house-made chips: the grapefruit chunks were "meaty" and surprisingly went really well with the guac, it added a different citrus element than the usual lime. Comes with a small bowl of maybe 6-7 chips and we asked for two chips refills since the chips to guac and salsa ratio was low. - spicy faroe islands' salmon tartar: tasty and I liked the latin flavors and corn, snow peas, a touch of wasabi. Flavors of the sesame-soy-truffle-lemon vin and crema got a little muddled. Relatively more "generic" dish of the evening though I was here for it! Any dish with fresh tender salmon, I can't complain. - blue crab and carrot tostada, generous shredded crab salad on top of freshly crisp blue corn tortilla. Topped with pumpkin seeds, dill, cilantro, and saffron-orange aioli. - three cheese & artichoke 'queso fundido': served in a very hot ceramic pot and super melty and delicious, eaten with the fluffy grilled pita and green apple slices + salsa. One of the top picks of the evening. - roasted bone marrow and chorizo, served as tacos with fresh blue corn tortillas, and added a sprinkle of pickled onions--does that sound amazing? Bc it was AAHMAZING. - spicy chipotle-guajillo shimp 'diablo' (not spicy): served with pumpkin tortillas and three accompaniments on the side--mushroom chile crisp, horseradish crema, celery 'salsa macha". Part 2 to make your own tacos was another hit! Our entire table agreed if they sold the sauce for the shrimp we'd all buy it. - heritage pork osso bucco 'carnitas' with Fall-spiced black mole, sour cherry mostardo, calabrian chile pesto: cue drooling now. This part 3 of the tacos was served on pumpkin tortillas; the meat was practically falling off the bone, tender, juicy and flavorful. - buffalo-style com 'elote: sooo good too! A little messier to eat since it comes drizzled with spicy hot sauce butter, feta, lime aioli, cilantro, though totally worth it! - Desserts: --green tea matcha churros: comes with two little pots of spiced mexican chocolate & passion fruit sauce. Warm, sugary and crisp without being too sweet. --pumpkin spiced-vanilla flan: topped with sour cherries, cocoa nibs & toasted seed 'trail mix", if you love flan you'll love this, so smooth and creamy with a bit of crunch and tang from the cherries. --pistachio tres leches cake with cream cheese frosting, raspberry, using an olive oil cake: we all agreed this was probably the best tres leches we've ever had. The pistachio nuttiness and the creaminess from the milks paired well. SERVICE: Very friendly and attentive service though it was very loud in the restaurant and they had to really shout. There was a delay in the middle of our meal I think bc kitchen was slammed, after the entree we waited about 35 min for our desserts. Considering they limited the seating to 2 hours and about half of our party arrived 20 min late, and accounting for the long wait pre-dessert, they did us solid by extending our table time by about an hour in total. Also great that they brought the first dessert out with a candle for my friend's birthday.

A trendy spot for modern Mexican eats! Everything was baseline yummy, standouts include Blue Crab…read moreTostada, Shrimp and Scallop Tacos and Tiramisu Tres Leches.
