This review is regarding Longhorn Steakhouse in Spanish Fork Utah This was absolutely one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant. My stepmom called in and ask if we needed to make reservations for our group of ten. We were told they don't do that it was a 20-30 minute wait. So we all went there, put our names on, they told us 20-30 minutes and we started waiting. Mind you we got there at 6:30 because my wife and I have a 19 month old and we were hoping to be able to hang out with our family, get our toddler fed, and then over to bed at a timely hour. 30 minutes turned into 45 minutes. But it's a restaurant, things happen so we weren't too upset at this point. Although we were confused because we did watch a huge group (bigger than ours) walk in after us and get seated. So my sister went in and asked where we were at in line and we were told we were priority and next to be seated. We then got to the hour mark and asked how much longer and we were told that the table we were going to be given had a party there that had already finished their meals fifteen minutes prior and were just talking . The hostess said they didn't want to be rude and ask them to get a move on. Which is weird considering there are people waiting to be sat. It is not rude to kindly ask a group to wrap it up because there are other people waiting. But again, we were told we were next and priority. So then an hour and thirty minutes comes up and we hear the manager call out for a party of nine. My step mom asked him what was going on because we were told we were next to which he responded "just give me a sec," which is quite comical considering we had, at that point, already given him about an extra 3,600 seconds on top of the 1,800 seconds we were told they needed to get our party seated. Totaling 5,200 seconds for those interested. So then an hour and 45 minutes comes up and the manager comes out and says he is only going to be able to get us seated in separate groups. We said okay, we were just wanting it to be over with. Our toddler was tired and we just needed to get him fed and home. Well, we ended up having to wait. And it got to be another 15 minutes. At which point we decided just leave. Unfortunately, my dad was pissed and went and told the Manager off. The Manager replied with "this is nothing new to me, it happens all the time." Which is actually revealing to this restaurant's management competency level. If you have people in your face a lot, then you are clearly doing something wrong. Whether it being the processes, systems, or communication problems. There is clearly something wrong that isn't being addressed. If you read through the reviews here, there is a common denominator: managers, and wait times, (I will leave the food out of it because we didn't get any. Although I did hear a woman leave who said "well that wasn't anything special, I'm probably never coming back." So I will give her a one star by proxy for the food element). But this being the common denominator on reviews doesn't just reveal how poor Zack and Brenden are as managers but actually how bad Chad is at managing his leaders of the restaurant. And that incompetency really just extends all the way up to the owners of the restaurant, who obviously cannot get a grip on how their restaurant is ran. Why go into business if you are just going to be incompetent, like aren't you embarrassed? The issue here is that simple communication would have been appreciated. Even a "hey guys, I'm sorry but we are an hour in and I don't think we are going to be able to get you seated," would have been understood, things happen. To be told we are only going to wait 20-30 minutes and then get strung along for an extra hour and a half is just crappy. Especially when we have a toddler. We tried to audible to Chilis but at that point it was 8:40 at night, they told us about 30 minutes so we just had to get our kid home and fed. So we got him home, fed him and just now putting him down at 9:15 at night. All-in-all a really crappy experience that strung us along, and then left us high and dry to a decent audible with the family. read more

My first time at a Longhorn. The waitress taking cate of us was fantastic, she kept up with our drinks before even asking. The "porterhouse", was a mere 22oz, not really a substantial portion. In my opinion, a porterhouse should be at minimum, a 32oz serving size. I always ask for rare or medium rare because when you normally ask for rare it normally comes medium rare. Unfortunately my small porterhouse came more medium, the dead cow is already dead so it was no need to overcook it. The meat was okay, not the best I've had. The ceasar salad had no discernible anchovy flavour at all, the brussel sprouts tasted like it was a little overcooked also. read more

2 nights in a row, so yes it's good. Ambiance was clean and basic. The food was solid and a decent value. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The best part and why we returned 2 nights in a row was service! The first night was Tony, she was awesome! She was off last night, but Chelsea stepped up and also knocked it out of the park! Both waitresses were professional, personable and on top of their craft! We were talking the other day about what happened to professional waitresses/waiters?! Our appeared that most servers were using this job as a stepping stone, which i understand. This was my first time here with my Wife, and it was not good at all. Our table got full of dishes and what not after our appetizers and she didn't take anything until I asked 15 mins later. The bread that they bring out was ehh. The strawberry pecan salad was very underwhelming, and the Ribeye that I ordered was super bland, same with my Mac n cheese I ordered as a side. We couldn't get a refill for 20-30 mins because we couldn't find our waitress so we had to grab someone else. She checked up on us 2-3 times the entire time we were there. We have been to Longhorn in several different cities. Food is usually pretty consistent so you know what you are getting. We especially like the Firecracker Chicken Wraps appetizer. Salads are fresh and generous. We've had steaks, chicken and shrimp -- all good. This particular location happened not to be able to offer several of our favorites due to a kitchen issue, but was good otherwise. read more

My family of 4 went out to try the new Longhorn in SF for my mom's birthday on a Saturday night. We knew from friends that they don't have an online que always and to come early. So we did but it wasn't early enough! We knew this was a possibility and were in good spirits anyway-only a 45 min wait. We ordered the tonion wedges to start and salads. The onion was crispy and the sauce tangy. We learned that the mixed greens were heartier than the caesar. We'd like a great deal more dressing next time on that. The whole grain bread brought to the table wasn't anything to write home about and the butter was frozen. Our cuts of meat varied by person, the consensus on the ribeye was that it was over peppered. The New York strip was perfect. The sirloin had a good rub on it. Maybe because it's a new location but our knives were sharp and it's the simple things that give you joy. The crispy Brussel sprouts are served in honey butter which was a fun addition. The fries were crisp and broccoli was plentiful. Our service was great! It was a little crazy at checkin because there's no where to stand when waiting to be shown your table but besides that we were well taken care of. The location has great interior design and pictures of old Main Street which was a great touch. read more

Yikes!! Everything about our evening was bad. We ordered our children steak, told him we wanted it well, and then he came back asking how we wanted our steaks cooked. We thought he was talking about OUR steaks (the one for my husband and I) so we said medium. Well all the steaks for us and the kids came back medium rare. Too bloody for the kids. When I told the waiter he said "but you told me medium for the kids" he never specified which steaks he was talking about. My husband and I don't eat carbs, and every single side is full of carbs so we asked if we could sub both of our sides for an add on of shrimp for $7 and he said yes. The bill came and he still charged us for the sides and the shrimp. He said that he 'didn't understand what we were asking originally' (don't know why he said yes then) and then he said he would ask the manager if he could do that. Came back and said that the manager said no, you have to pay for it. So I said okay then I want my sides to take home. Pretty lame the manager wasn't willing to make things right over a measily $7 which the sides we got if charged separately cost more anyways. Then had to wait an extra 15-20 minutes for our to-go sides. Will never return, bad managment, bad communication, sub par food. read more

Newly opened in February and assumed it would be packed but took a chance. Walking in we heard 1.5 hour wait but typically always go to the bar anyway and sat right down. Ordered a margarita and a beer and perused the menu. It was nice because the Bartender is not serving booths or handling drinks for the servers! The problem is diners who don't drink alcohol and sit at the bar. In this case half the bar was non-drinkers, bummer. Had the house margarita that was great for flavor. I do like the way they handle the bar from an ID perspective, Roadhouse is intrusive and worry my personal information will be stolen, for this reason alone I may just avoid Roadhouse. As for the food, Stuffed Mushrooms were excellent, salad is salad but they did provide plenty of blue cheese, thank you. Also had the Mac & Cheese that was better than Roadhouse. Ribeye was good and flavorful as it should be due to the cut of meat although it could have been spice improved. The Shrimp were ok, what can you say, enough spice although not my cup of tea from a flavor perspective and wish they would serve large/jumbo size. Jury still out and another trip is in order to nail down the final Talley. Staff were great, attentive. read more

Best service we have received, probably ever, from Caitlin. She was so friendly and just an overall great energy. The food was all amazing. We have never had a bad meal at Longhorn and this new location is just as delicious. The light was too bright where we sat but that's okay because Caitlin's amazing service made up for it! We waited 30 minutes for a family birthday dinner when we overheard the manager tell the people next to us they were out of most their steaks. We had to go to the host stand to ask and then were told they were out of most of their steaks and it was only 7pm. The manager was quite unapologetic and said it was cause the holiday rush and he didn't know how to plan for it cause it was their first holiday season open. Pretty lame excuse if you ask me. Went to Longhorn in Spanish Fork for my birthday. I have never had such a salty steak! Ordered a sirloin and could hardly cut it with the knife. Maybe the knives were good when they first opened, but I could not cut through the steak. Everything else was just meh! I guess you get what you pay for. read more

Food was great. The service not so much. We were there celebrating a birthday and the server was told that. He said he would take care of us. After our food was delivered we didn't even see our server. He didn't ask if everything was to our liking. He brought to go boxes for us, our check, and said nothing about a birthday dessert. when to dinner with my wife 1st time in the new Texas longhorn in Spanish Fork. Staff was nice restaurant looked clean nice start. Ordered drinks they were ok general Utah drinks nothing special. Had salad and stuff mushrooms which were good. then the stakes arrived wife had a regular ribeye with shrimp, I ordered the bone in ribeye this is the issue both stakes were cooked to medium rare which is correct but the stakes were tuff I don't mean a little but hard to chew and harder to swallow. it was even hard to cut! for the $130 for 2 people definitely not worth the money. could go across the street to Texas Roadhouse get the same thing for 20% less and have a much better stake. wish this experience was different I want to go to a place with a nice atmosphere. read more

Very disappointed with this visit to longhorn. You order the most expensive steak on the menu and expect it to at least come out warm and fresh. Sweet potato was not great, steak was not great. The only thing that was good was the bread and butter. Service was alright at best, had to ask for things multiple times and ended up not asking after the 3rd time because it wasn't even worth it. Went in the middle of the afternoon and the place was nearly empty, certainly wasn't too busy to grab the lime for my drink. Seems to be a typical situation at longhorn. Very disappointed. read more
