Me and my wife have been coming to this location for 6 years. Until recently something has changed significantly in the kitchen. 1. The dishes are not being cleaned properly. This is the only location in Utah that the plates smell like a dead animal. I don't know if they need a new dishwasher or what's going on but please smell your salad dishes before you eat off of them. Plates bowls. I've seen food stuck to the knives and forks . NASTY !!! 2. I've addressed the smell of the dishes and our last waiter told my wife he'd get her a new dish and came back with the exact same one I couldn't believe it. I think it's important to note that she's not crazy. I smelled the dishes and we even asked the table next to us to smell them and they agreed it smelled super funny so disappointed. 3. When you ask to cook your steak medium well that doesn't mean well done. When you ask to cook your steak medium that doesn't mean between raw and medium rare. 4. Do not order ribs from this location either. I've been to all the locations in Utah and this one by far cannot cook ribs properly. ALWAYS OVERCOOKS THEM !! The kitchen needs to be addressed. The cooks , the dishes and the overall management of this location has gone down hill significantly. I didn't put 1 star as I love texas road house. My whole family loves this place. Fantastic experience on Saturday night. We joined the waitlist and were seated before the time we were told. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. The rolls were delicious and super hot! Went in at 4pm on a Sunday. There were about 2 or 3 groups waiting to get seated. I wanted an order to go. Waited about 3-5 minutes before anyone showed up at the To Go desk. We decided to try something new in a nearby town and there aren't a lot of sit down restaurants nearby. The wait on a Tuesday was 35 min! After being sick I with the flu I regretted going out but we had no food! Once we got seated, everything came fairly quickly. The bread rolls with the sweet honey cinnamon butter. Our appetizer of the cheesy fries. They were so good! Loaded with cheese and bacon bits. I ate 3 fries and was full. lol. I order the grilled chicken salad which was really good, but I had to take 9/10ths of it home because I just wasn't hungry. My daughter had the chicken tenders with applesauce. My husband had a slab of ribs and a side of the Texas chili. The Texas chili was spicy in the one bite I tried and not your average chili taste. Will have to go back and try it again. He liked the ribs abs had extra to bring home for an after work bite the next day. Service was good. The restaurant is quite noisy and very busy for a weeknight. Parking can be tough to find. This is probably my wife's favorite place. I would say that their food is always consistent. Their rolls are awesome. My one complaint over and over is their loaded potatoe is laughable. When you order food to go, make sure you check your food item. My experience was to get a cup of chili that was half full. Photo taken. When I called back, a manager by the name of Haley told me there was nothing they could do since it was a to go order with my dine in food. The purpose of my call was just to advise of quality control since I've never had a bad experience there at that restaurant. However, Haley could not be a bigger B to me if she tried. It's not about the $3.99 for the chili and the $.79 shredded cheese to go order, it's about you do expect to get what you pay for. They got rid of the peanuts so no more peanuts on the ground . We came on a Sunday , we ordered potato skins , rib eye , and the roadkill. They brought us the warm rolls with butte right away . The potato skins also came out pretty quickly but the main entrees took almost 30-40 min to come out . The kitchen was really backed up even though we didn't go at lunch or dinner time . We eat weekly at Texas Roadhouse. We have found the food (mostly steaks) to be of a good quality well prepared and as ordered. The food is tastefully seasoned but not too much. The service is always efficient and courteous. We feel the price is a good value. It is not a restaurant with white table cloths but as a "roadhouse" it fills the bill. It. I wanted to send this privately and use the 'Contact Us' option on the Texas Roadhouse website but it errored out each time I clicked on 'Submit' (bad website coding). Never had this issue with other websites (using Brave browser which is based off of Chrome). Our server was Mason (check #80027) and he didn't seem to want to be there. He did the bare minimum and wasn't very friendly. Our food was good and delicious but the service wasn't good. He almost seemed upset that he had to help us. Hopefully he was just having a bad day but this type of service isn't good for your business. He never offered to refill our drinks and did the bare minimum. I shouldn't have given him a tip but did anyway. We came in to celebrate our anniversary so this experience was a bit disappointing.
