This was quite a pleasant surprise! We stumbled into this diner during a snowstorm and we were super close by so we decided to try it. Great food options, the service was excellent, super clean establishment, and it was just a quaint and lovely experience! Breakfast for dinner was pretty good. The pies are just OK. Will def come back for the food and the service!

Denver omelette & hash browns. Added the cholula myself.

Might be a chain. If so, this is the first time I've visited. Got a denver omelette which came with hash browns and my choice of other starch. Ordered cranberry juice and it was a GENEROUS serving. Like, probably 14-15 oz. Huge glassful. Server was fast and effective though kept trying to pep it up with comments like "tear it up". I guess it's better than being glum Hash browns ok though a bit soggier than I like. I didn't specify scattered though so that's on me. Denver omelette passable. Got no complaints really though it didn't inspire me to more praise. TL, DR - decent breakfast place hard by the Planet Fitness so perfect for a post-workout feed.

Only place around that was not fast food and the sign says best pie in the world! Ordered a Reuben and fries, nice sandwich for the price, only $11 used to much larger sandwiches back east but for 15.00. Could have had more Russian dressing. The other meal was the Ultimate skillet, sausage, bacon, ham, scallions, cheese, two eggs and home fries and was equal to any diner back east. Service was great and food served in 5 min. I would come back again and try the pies. Staff was friendly and bathrooms clean.

Definitely my favorite place for breakfast!! The California skillet is my favorite!!! The crepes are so good! The banana cream pie to die for! Can't wait to go back! Thankful my friend showed me this place. Staff was very friendly and clean!

The best apple pie ever. Had it to go or it'd be a la mode. Scrumptious crust and that's not an understatement.

We loved the sausage soup and beet salad! So unique and flavorful. For the main entree, the gnocchi and winter pasta were also a hit. Hard to top the soup and salad though! To top it all off, the pumpkin pie panna cotta was amazing. They included it free of charge, as an anniversary gift. What a nice surprise! Great service, great food, great time.

However, we did have one drink server where we had some issues with, but our main waitress was lovely. For starters, our table shared the baked ricotta, balsamic glazed brussel sprouts, and bread rolls with honey and butter. The brussel sprouts were good, but the bread rolls were my favorite! They were so incredibly soft and pillowy. They honestly didn't even need the bread and butter! I was most excited for the baked ricotta, but unfortunately it was a disappointment for me. Ricotta is a very mild cheese to begin with, but I tasted absolutely zero flavor from it and it was mostly just adding a textural element to the bread. The fig walnut guanciale jam was overpoweringly sweet and the guanciale was also nonexistent. Overall, what I expected to be a flavorful combination, fell pretty flat and bland for me. Onto the main, I got to try the Block burger and the house made gnocchi. The burger was a standard burger, nothing too crazy. I was surprised the patty was actually moist because it was cooked well done. The same jam from the baked ricotta was used, so wasn't a big fan of it because again the overwhelmingly sweet didn't do much to elevate the burger. I also missed any flavor from the truffle cheese sauce. So it was a pretty average burger. My gnocchi definitely tasted better than it looked. Another friend also got the same dish and it looked like they just split our portions in half and served it on two separate plates. In general, I wasn't a big fan of this dish. The braised short rib was very tender, but the whole plate sat in a pool of salty sauce. I couldn't really make out any other flavors. The scoop of crème fraiche tasted exactly like sour cream and was not the consistency that I expected. The gnocchi's were made well, but I prefer mine a little firmer. However, this is complete personal preference. Overall, service was good, but food fell severely short of what I expected. I was so excited for all of these elevated flavors and ingredients, but, sadly, none of them came through.

We ordered the chicken sandwich, buffalo cheese rosemary fries, sweet potato fries, and the beet salad. The chicken sandwich was pretty good, with a thick cut of chicken, though it could have used a bit more seasoning. The sweet potato fries come in one side and are crinkle cut - very good, though I wish they had normal crinkle cut fries too. The regular size rosemary fries was a bit on the smaller side, which is why we had to get another side of fries. The disappointing thing with the fries is that they make it sound like the fries are topped with the melted blue cheese, but it actually was just a side of sauce that came cold, which was unexpected. The beet salad was pretty good but could have used more vegetables on top of the greens. After you order, they come to your seat with the food. Overall, it is a big space that accommodate many customers with outdoor seating as well. We enjoyed our time here but there could be some improvements with the food. The food is a bit on the pricier side for fast casual, but the quality is good and worth it.

The lighting and seating feel eclectic without being uncomfortable--casual, inviting, and easy to settle into. Our waitress, Avery, was excellent. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk us through the menu, which made ordering easy. We shared a large order of fries between the three of us, and they were more than enough. The fry sauce stood out immediately--definitely not the standard Utah variety--and genuinely excellent. On Avery's recommendation, I ordered the Cowboy in LA, and I'm very glad I did. It felt a little odd walking through the back @ first, as we got a little peek into the kitchen. It didn't seem like we should have been back there, but once we got to the host area, we were assured that entering through the back is completely fine. As we sat there, we noticed many people doing the same thing. The place is western theme. Lots of fun pictures on the walls, random lighting and chairs, I personally loved the vibe. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions on the menu. We felt right at home, great hospitality here. I wanted to try a burger that sounded really out of the ordinary, so I got the Grumpy Claire. It has apples on it, a savory caramel sauce, it just sounded insane, and I had to try it out. I also got an order of onion rings. The burger was cooked to perfection, had great flavor and was more delicious than I imagined. My husband got the Poco Bueno. I tried a bite, I did not like it. The reason I did not order it was because that sounded like a burger I'd find at any regular burger joint. The problem I had with the burger was the seasonings used. It tasted like a very strong taco seasoning was added to the patty. I do not like taco seasoning at all, so this was a No from me. My husband got an order of fries with his burger, which were very good! &Their fry sauce is amazing! The staff makes you feel like part of the family & check in on you consistently throughout your visit. The part that stood out the most was that not only was our waitress checking in on us, the other waitstaff would come by and ask how we were doing as well. The owner came over to chat with us too. She came up, introduced herself, asked how our meal was, and we talked with her for several minutes to follow. I appreciated that experience. I highly recommend trying Backdoor BRGR if you haven't yet! The pricing was fair, the staff is amazing, the owner is a sweetheart, and the food is incredible.
