Let me start off by saying I was very excited to visit this place Saturday with my family, I loved the concept of this family friendly restaurant idea. I understand that it was a soft launch and trust me when I say my family and I were very patient and understanding with the wait however... to give an exact timeline we were sat at 4:16 and our server greeted us, we placed our drink order 5 minutes after we sat, simple drink order of two margaritas, a whisky drink, a glass of wine and a shot of tequila; we also placed our appetizer order in at the same time. We waited and waited for drinks to come when we would ask our waiter about our drinks he would simply say they were working on it, our appetizers came out before our drinks did and that didn't sit right with us especially since other tables that were sat after us with the same waiter had already gotten their drinks from the bar. Time keeps passing on and we place our food order with still no drinks at our table, at this point it's already 5:45 and we asked the waiter again about our drinks because at this point it was ridiculous and he told us that they were ready at the bar and he just needs to go get them, 10 minutes passed and we can clearly see him at the bar waiting for our drinks to still be made so my husband and I decided that once we got them that we would just simply ask for the check and leave because our two little ones were already getting restless and hungry. Our drinks arrived at our table around 6:10; we asked if him if we could just get our check to pay and leave, his response was " let me get my manager". I don't know why us requesting for our check to pay requires a manager, at other restaurants when you ask for the check they just give it to you with no hesitation. Manager comes over to our table from the jump she was very dismissive and rude asking us " what is it? Is it because your food is taking too long?" And we let her know the entire situation of us waiting almost two hours for drinks to be delivered and that we had only just place our food items in 20 minutes ago, we let her know that we just wanted to pay for what we got and leave but she continued to go back and forth with us that our meal was already getting prep but again we were already ready to leave, we explain how understanding we were with the this being a big night for them and the patience we had up until this point, because she was trying to keep us hostage and then she was trying to make us pay for our meal that we hadn't received, we again told her we're just paying for what we got. She leaves and comes back five minutes later with the kids meal and we simply declined it and told her we just want our check to leave, she throws the plate on our table and she left with one final " we'll see about that" and it was kind of just downhill from there for us, as a manager of an establishment you don't speak to your PAYING costumers like that. The way she spoke to us and handle the situation was very unprofessional and disrespectful, it did not sit right with my husband at all. The moment she left we were all shocked about how it all went down, my husband turns around to see where she went off to so he can just ask for the check again and let her know they way she talked to us with disrespectful, he walks up to her by the hostess stand and he can clearly hear the conversation she's having with the other workers falsely telling them another story because she can't see him so he walks into her view point and very politely calls her out in front of her workers by simply saying "it's one thing to lie and it's another to act like a victim" she was caught off guard when he came up to her at the same time the owner comes up to them as well and ask what's going on my husband calmly told him the situation regarding the manager and experience today, the owner dismissed the manager because she kept talking over my husband. The owner sighed and informed my husband that the lady we were dealing with was his wife, he was very apologetic to my husband and understood his frustration about his wife's actions, the owner proceed to pull up our tab to see the time stamps and explained to us that he's not sure why his wife would say our food was getting prepared when it was not even the next ticket in line to be made, he told my husband he would just comp whichever items we wanted and my husband proceeded to tell him that was never the point to get anything for free, because nothing in life is free. We just simply wanted our tab to pay what we got and leave, my husband also told the manager that if things had not escalated to the way they were that we were open to giving this establishment another chance down the road once it's calm down and gotten into a groove, but unfortunately the entire night left a sour taste with us and we aren't entirely sure if we'll come back. read more
