Pepperoni Pizza
Abel Ivan F.

The pizzas here are very delicious and super fresh! I come here on Mondays to take advantage of their half off pizzas, and it's a great deal! I think the pizza comes down to about $10-12 depending on what you order and they come out surprisingly quickly, especially when time on lunch break can be low. The pizza quality is incredible, really one of my top pizzas here in Houston. The ingredients are very fresh, the cheese is tasty, the crust is a nice medium thickness and they are all served with a generous portion of parmesan slices, red pepper flakes, and rosemary. The drinks they have are also great and they have mint leaves to put in your water or tea which is very refreshing. The restroom is always clean and the vibes are nice and family friendly. I've come here about 4-5 times and I keep planning to come back! The customer service is also friendly and attentive.

"Build Your Own" Pizza

Luna Pizzeria was the perfect stop for comfort food on our roadtrip around Houston. We made our own pizza and the artichokes and andouille sausage were the stars. The salad was also very filling and easily could've been shared by more than three people (we got the largest size). Our service was pretty quick with our pizza coming out shortly after our salad. I like that it's an order at a window then get your food at the table place, keeps it casual and fun. We played jenga while we waited. There were only a few other people inside but it was fun and cozy!

Pepperoni with extra cheese

Looking for a new pizza spot? Look no further than Luna Pizzeria! My family and I always do "pizza Fridays" so since we were visiting family in Houston, we decided to place a takeout order from Luna Pizzeria. They have six signature pizzas on their menu, which range from the classic Margherita to a few more meat heavy options. I like that you can also build your own pizza where you can select up to five toppings. Their personal size pizzas are 9" which I think is more than enough for one person, but if you have a larger group you can pay an extra $8 to make it a large. For my first time here we order a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and extra pepperoni. The pizza was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection! We also order their prosciutto and arugula pizza. Frankly I wasn't a huge fan of the vinaigrette they put on top and for that reason alone I probably wouldn't order it again. I also ordered their arugula and fennel salad which was delicious. The reason why I am not giving them a solid five stars was because the pizza doesn't reheat properly and once it goes a little cold the dough gets pretty hard and chewy. If you have little ones, I would ask them to make the pizza extra thin, because it can get a little tough to chew for small children.

Meatball, Chicken, Red Onion, Mushroom & Kalamata Olives pizza

I loved Luna Pizzeria from the moment I had my first bite of their pizza!! This is a place I first tried years ago and ended up putting family and friends on. One of my favorite things about here has always been how fresh and house made the ingredients always felt. The crust is thin, which isn't my go to for pizza but they do a good job of keeping it a thin pizza that still has body to it. The marinara sauce tastes fresh and has a sweet, spiciness that I love. I really feel their marinara is one of the best I've had on a pie. As I said with the ingredients you can tell they're made in house by the flavors as well as the shapes of them. They don't have cookie cutter shaped ingredients that look like they were cut up in a factory. They look like they were made by a person. Unfortunately I hadn't been to Luna in years because I stopped eating pork and they didn't have many non-pork options....but when I was eating pork I was tearing it down! I recently decided to stop in and after being told that their meatball is made from all beef, went ahead and ordered. They have pizzas combinations but they all either had pork or no meat on them, so I put together my own. I'm a carnivore so I started with chicken and meatballs, then added mushrooms, red onions and kalamata olives. I was thankful that the pizza came out just as delicious as I remembered. The meatballs were nice big slices, while the chicken was cut into small cubes, which were both nice to me. They actually offer a nice selection of specialty meats and veggies that I'd like to try. Most of those meats are pork so I can't try them but I do want to try more of the vegetables, because I like that they have a mushroom pizza with multiple types of mushrooms, and that instead of just black olives they offer kalamata olives. These are subtle differences that make them great. They also have a pretty good house made lemonade that I looked back and saw that I enjoyed when I first started eating here. Looking at my previous review I also saw that the service was great back when I ate here, and I can happily say the service is still great. It was a late night, about an hour or so before they closed and the man behind the counter was still patient and helpful while I ordered. He's the one who told me of the meatballs being beef. Even after I received my food he still checked in if I needed anything and offered extra cheese and peppers as I prepared to leave. I'm not sure if they still do but I know they used to give a side dish of extra garnishes for the pizzas. I got my pizza to go so I'll have to dine in next time to see. I also want to try some of their other items like their sandwiches at some point because I know they'll be fresh just like the pizzas. The fact they have some games inside really adds to the great experience and they're something you can use to keep kids occupied or add some engagement and fun to a date. I actually upset that I've kept this dining gem from myself for years but I shall be returning again soon. I love literally everything about this place.

Amazing pizza on MONDAY DEALS!!! Half off on all of their custom pizzas! The andouille sausage is superb! The meat pairs well with the ricotta cheese and is not too salty at all. There is also some very nice garnish that is provided including dried chili flakes and Thyme to spice up your slices. Be warned, they are generally incredibly busy on Monday nights. Our average wait time for two large pizzas was roughly 30 minutes. There's not a whole lot of seating space, so be prepared just in case. Much of the setup is oriented towards self-service. They'll bring you your pizza once you've been assigned a number Tag, but that's about it. All in all, very satisfied and happy to return for another Monday night pizza deal!

Pepperoni - personal size

Was looking for some good pizza - after searching Yelp I ran across Luna's who had a decent amount of reviews. Parking was easy in the lot, always a plus for Houston restaurants. Concept was simple, order your pizza at the front, sit and wait. Workers were nice and helpful, service was great. Now on to the pizza. The pepperoni pizza was just ok. While it did come out piping hot and crispy - I felt like it was missing something. Did not blow me away. The personal size for the price was kinda pricy and just 1 topping - and small. If I went on a Monday I prob would've bumped this review up to a 4 because of the specials. If I ever coming back - it will be a Monday for better value.

I finally got the chance to try Luna Pizzeria and I can totally see why it is one of the highest rated and reviewed pizza restaurants in Houston. My experience was a pick up order. This is one of three locations and is located in a busy shopping center. Lunch time pick up was easy, but I've seen the same lot pretty busy in the evening. The space inside isn't too big but it can hold some people. Customer service was very minimal. I ordered ahead on the phone which was easy and pickup was with some friendly staff. Pizza time! What I didn't know ahead of time was that Monday is half off all pizzas and that's a win in my book. We ended up getting the Margherita, Pepperoni, Mushroom and Spicy Andouille. We should have rounded it out and got the other two creations but it would've been too much pizza and options. I do like the fact that you can create your own for the same price and toppings are unlimited. I love when a place doesn't nickel and dime you. We also got a couple of chopped salads and cheesy garlic bread. Let's talk about the pizzas first. We got larges and they were indeed large. The slices were pretty big and I had to cut them in half so I could try all the pizzas we ordered. I will say they were all absolutely delicious in their own ways. The Margherita was light and simple but tasty. I'm not a big sauce guy, but the sauce here was really good. The pepperoni was really good too. Simple in the toppings, but the quality of the cupped pepperoni was high. My two favorites were the Spicy Andouille and Mushroom. The mushroom was a surprise fave just because I'm a meat guy. They used three types of mushroom chopped up, and added spinach, rosemary and ricotta. All the flavors worked in perfect harmony. The Spicy andouille was so good mainly because it's something you don't see often. Whatever sausage they used was high quality and paired well with the peppers. I loved that they used fresh jalapenos on it as well. That to me is a game changer over pickled. The cheese bread was very good too. Very cheesy, very garlicky perfection. Overall, they moved up really high up on my favorite pizza joints list in Houston. Mind you my pizza traveled from here to the Med Center and it was still delicious. I can only imagine it's even better fresh out the over and crisp as it's meant to be eaten. I wish I had some locations closer to the southside, but I will definitely be coming back!

Prosciutto and arugula pizza
Lou C.

I'm so glad that I made it in time before they close at 10. I got here about 9:20 pm with my friends from the toastmasters club. I ordered prosciutto and arugula pizza. Well, everything is quick here. Pizza came out in 15 minutes. I love the presentation and the side tray of fresh oregano (my favorite pizza topping), crushed pepper and shaved cheese (my favorite pasta topping). I didn't quite like the pizza sauce though. It tasted too sweet and I thought I was eating jam on toast. The crust was crispy and thin. It hurts my ceiling. The meat and arugula just toppings on the crust. I can't complain much because it was half off.

Place an order over the phone on a Tuesday evening. The lady was extremely nice & helpful. I requested a particular pickup time. I arrived, place was clean, friendly service, pizza was ready when I arrived. Prices were amazing & the pizza was FANTASTIC! I ordered a large a large sausage w/ red bell peppers, red onion, and extra sausage. Perfection! Everything was just right. The flavor, the sauce, the amount of ingredients, and the crust was...chef's kiss!

I went here with a group during their half off deal. We each got a personal sized pizza and it was amazing. Ambiance was nice, and so was staff. We had a nice dining experience next to a window. The pizza was 10/10 and great for the price.

On Monday, I went to order pizza. I clearly mentioned that we do not eat pork and that chicken is fine. The employee suggested one option but said she didn't know the name of the Italian meat. When we received the order, it turned out to include pork. I returned the pizza and explained again that we had already mentioned this. However, she did not accept the mistake, continued arguing, and refused to change our pizza. Even though I tried to stay polite and calmly explained the situation, she kept arguing. Her attitude was very rude. Stefanie was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.

There's games too!

FIVE OUT OF FIVE. I make sourdough pizza myself so it is extremely difficult to find quite a spot that I appreciate and feel my money's worth. This place is no other. WOW! The crust is thin and crispy and you just feel satisfied and light at the same time after eating. The community and workers alike is very welcoming; the waiters/waitresses are super friendly and helpful! Plus for such good-quality pizza, you do not have to wait for sooo long (maybe 15 minutes max for food!). I am definitely looking forward in coming back soon.

My 2% Italian comes out from time to time and so I finally said "let me finally satisfy its pizza cravings from my saved places in Apple Maps". Upon getting there the atmosphere is very casual. There were a few people there. The staff were friendly and attentive. The place looked super clean and you could see back into the kitchen. You could also see many of the ingredients they use. I placed a pick up order. I got a large "Build your own pizza" with andouille sausage, mushrooms and pepperoni (which is the old world bowl pepperonis).I also got a side Cesar salad with Parmesan and sprinkle of black pepper. The menu had a lot of variety as well. The crust was thin crust and perfectly crispy, and the toppings were top quality and delicious. The balance of cheese, & tomato sauce were on point. The Caesar salad reminded me of the one I had in Naples, Italy which was a great complement to the pizza. Grazie Luna pizza per la mia 99th recensione!

My pizza was ready on time and the service was great although our interaction was brief. It's a thin crust pizza and the edges were just perfect out of the oven. Next time I'll order it well done because the toppings made it a bit soggy in the middle the next day. I can't wait to try more on the menu! The space is small and has patio seating. Walking in there a couple seats to the right, menu is on the wall to the left, and order & pickup counter in the center. I ordered the Coffee Cowboy pizza and a full order of Dad's Bruschetta (Dad OG's). It took quite a while for the food to be ready, as it was a Friday, and was just blowing up on social media. So I recommend ordering online beforehand, I also noticed while waiting for my food to be ready, that the staff taking orders were bias towards certain customers but that could just be me. There are more tables and seating outside in front with napkins rolls available which I sat at when the food ready. The Coffee Cowboy pizza had coffee-crusted hereford flank steak, smoked onion bianco sauce, mozz, white cheddar, caramelized onion, smoked salt, and truffled arugula. But sadly wasn't to my liking along with the Dad's Bruschetta. Overall, food wasn't really to my liking, and recommend ordering ahead of time.

Excellent pizza. And I felt like I was in NYC…read more We came here on a whim on an early Saturday night (around 8 p.m.), though this joint has been on our radar for years. The atmosphere is somewhat dingy, but not in a dirty way. Rather, it just felt like they spend so much time turning out wonderful pies that they really don't have time to touch up the paint. Seating is limited. We found a table in the loft, and it was just fine. It's counter service here, and the young lady who took our order was polite and efficient. Parking, by the way, is on the street or in one of the nearby garages. Most importantly, the pizza here is really good. The atmosphere reminded me of so many pizza joints in NYC, as did the pizza -- thin, foldable crust and a tomato-forward sauce. The cheese is top notch, as is the uber-thin pepperoni and fresh mushrooms. Slices are available, and seemingly popular, but we ordered a whole pie. I understand that this place is open until the crack of dawn for all the bar-goers. During our visit, however, we were the only customers without kids -- or infants. Yep. It was Romper Room for sure. All of that to say that drunks might get their 3 a.m. pizza fix here, but so too do young families patronize this place much earlier. Fun experience. Wonderful pizza.
