If consistency is something to marvel, then I'm happy for what I've been able to enjoy with La Fresca, which has remained solid with excellent service, quick execution, and fabulous pricing. My initial findings from my previous review still stand for the most part, but there have been some notable improvements as of late. First off, they're getting really good at handling orders over the phone and have fixed their website woes. Ordering online has been a breeze, which has no additional fees and allows for customization of practically everything. Almost everything I've ordered is ready within 15 minutes or less, which is miraculous given how many big pizza chains (#1) struggle with more advanced options. While their hand tossed pizza isn't going to turn heads, they do have a "stuffcrust" option that crust option that could be a nice alternative. For yours truly, the thincrust option has actually been the go-to style as it's relatively crispy and reminds me a tinge of Oregon style pizza (#2) but with no corn meal. As a reminder, their version of a large (14") is still more of a medium at other pizza places. The calzones are still quite hearty while the salads and pastas skew on the mediocre side. The latter is heavily improved with alcoholic consumption, but I digress. What keeps bringing me back is the service. The family running the place is always hospitable and very personable with every interaction. They do a good job of keeping the food warm and are thoughtful with the presentation. Love it! The pizza was really good! I had a whole pizza to myself, so of course that was too much. I froze my left over pizza, days later I reheated in my air fryer and the pizza was still amazing! I would definitely recommend! Oh and the delivery lady was very nice! read more

Ice passed by this place for a while and finally ordered. Got a Hawaiian Calzone. I'm jot necessarily happy with it and here's why: The "Canadian bacon" is sandwich meat. It taste like sandwich meat and not actual Canadian bacon, not to mention that it's cut really thin. The crust tastes fine and so does the sauce and cheese. I came back to write another review because it needed to be said lol ! I still stand on them having amazing food . But they need to get their online ordering together or take it off as an option completely. I've ordered food online to pick up in store on 3 different occasions. The first time I had no issues, I ordered yelp because it gave me the option to. 2nd time I ordered the same way but when I got there, they said they didn't see my order. I showed them my receipts & everything else, but they basically said call the app. I did, & their customer service got on the phone and walked them through how to find my order. It was apparently Grubhub that yelp has affiliations with. I got my order, cool. But that took a whole total of 30min and a whole lot of patience for no reason lol . 3rd time I thought I would be smarter and order DIRECTLY from their website !! I place my order it gives me 2 options on how I wanted to pay . One was like a quick pay , where your card is already stored on one of the providing platforms. The other was manually typing your card in and doing it from their system I guess. I choose the quick pay method , as I am avid online order-er lol. They process my payment. I get an order confirmation and the money is out of my account (pending) . I go the store, guess what ?! No order lol! I ordered late so it was like 9:00pm. I couldn't call anybody as it's after hour. Once again, even with all the proof, I still didn't have my order and now I'm out of $24. I had to wait 2 weeks maybe more to finally get my money back lol . I still went back cause it's that damn good but I feel like they need to do better in this aspect of their business. Had a pizza from here (pepperoni, onion, and mushroom) to-go for me and my son to have a pizza party in his hospital room. It was awesome. Great crust, right amount of bread. Sauce was Devine. Cheese so melty that the Ninja Turtles would be jealous. He was a 10 star approved for sure. My only reason for the 4 stars is the salad was fresh, but just so blah. I got a Caesar expecting exactly that, though it was just a salad with the normal tomatoes, cheddar cheese, olives cucumber, onion, and don't forget lettuce... but a Caesar should have parm, romaine, and maybe a few other things to spice it up. The garlic cheesy bread is about average. I was able to order through the Yelp app and it gave us an estimated wait time of 55 minutes. Best pizza I've ever had. It's the only pizza I've ever had with just enough ingredients I don't want to add anything and not too much I want to take off. I can be picky when it comes to pizza. I usually end up ordering either pepperoni when I want meat or Margherita when I want veggies. The Greek pizza has the perfect combination of ingredients. I'm from NJ & have high standards for Italian food, and this is the only restaurant in Houston I've ordered from repeatedly. The tiramisu is so good. I'm a big tiramisu fan, I'll make it homemade if I can't find a good one, theirs is amazing. It's the perfect level of moist, cocoa powder, everything. The tiramisu gets 5 stars for sure. This pizza is ok. Their delivery service is NONSENSICAL. I live exactly 3 miles away by the shortest driving distance. Not 2.9, not 3.1. Their online system lets me place an order for delivery because their delivery zone is within 3 miles. Sometimes, they will deliver the pizza. Other times? Other times they wait 30 minutes, have the pizza made, and their delivery person decides that it is "too far" to deliver because google maps will say that a longer route is quicker to my apartment than the shorter route. You never know when they are going to cancel your order or when they will deliver. You also never know what time it will be delivered because they give no time estimates. read more
