Banana Coffee Cake

So good! Everything was made fresh. The natural lighting coming through the windows added to the warm welcoming environment. Perfect for shareables and to eat family style (I had a table of 6, and we shared everything). Might be one of my favorite calamaris yet. We also had the Hot Honey Prosciutto Pizza, Rigatoni, and Chicken Pesto Pasta, which are not pictured. The service was great. Our server offered many recommendations and constantly prebussed and gave us new sets of plates and utensils. It was never overcrowded. Everything is worth a try!

Excellent service and good food. 11 of us enjoyed the patio and family dinner on New Year's Day we enjoyed everything we ordered though unfortunately they were out of a couple of things that we had ordered but we were charged for them anyway. I called to ask for a credit back to my card and they said they would. The bread with truffle butter was great, the beef carpaccio was good but a little heavy handed on the dijon. The eggplant parm was enjoyed by those who had it. The calamari portion was good and the pickled veggies that came with it were excellent. You can order a 1/2 portion of their pastas but beware - you may save $6 bucks but you will be hungry. The pizza was good and I thought the bolognese was ok. Not sure what all the fuss is about. I would go back the next time we need a large outdoor table in Houston.

I had pizza with sausage and pepperoni pizza with goat cheese instead of normal cheese since I am allergic to cow milk. I was thrilled the kitchen accommodated my needs because I rarely get to enjoy pizza when eating out. I was here with co workers on a lunch break and we were all impressed with the quality of food and decor inside. Definitely a place worth stopping by if you like Italian food, and I saw they have multiple locations like in plano.

We were a Table of 11 and no one enjoyed the entree. All the pasta were Overcooked. Dishes were too spicy - strange isn't it? At least the appetizers were good though! Water service was slow. Restaurant is otherwise clean. Reservations were easy to make.

I really enjoyed the pesto pasta, both the pasta shape and the pesto sauce. I thought it was well seasoned and executed, with nice texture from the pasta and pine nuts along with a great pasta shape to hold some sauce. The eggplant parm was probably the only eggplant parm I've had that managed to be crispy. If you enjoy eggplant, it's worth ordering. I was expecting their meat sauce to be unique since it's their specialty, but it was just a solid meat sauce pasta. The shrimp scampi was done well, nice and crispy, but not too greasy. It could have used a couple more shrimp but the flavor was on point. I'll definitely come back for that pesto pasta!

Fantastic Pesto Pasta togo !!!

I had been craving this place and love their Bolognese, Vodka Pasta, Pesto Pasta and Margherita Pizza. I also feel like the food consistency here has even improved over the past year or so. I still need to order their Squid Ink Pasta and Mushroom Pizza soon. My recent 2 visits consisted of their Bolognese Pasta and a Margherita Pizza, both togo. Both very different and both really delicious, fresh, good quality, very well-seasoned, herby, spiced and very moist. Both were nicely generous in every ingredient involved in what would be typical of a bolognese and pizza. The Bolognese had the perfect thick noodles to hold the savory, hearty meat sauce. It wasn't too salty or overly greasy. It was still bold and rich in a more balanced fashion. The pizza was really aromatic, saucy with just enough cheese and had a coal-fired type of crust with a soft, pita bread texture. The crust, sauce, cheese, olive oil and other ingredients were so good in it. Definitely, a top 3 Margherita Pizza down here. Great, friendly, efficient service on these two takeout stops.

Uptown North Italia! Love that there's free garage parking? North Italia always is a great spot for great food with great prices I think . My go to is always the spicy rigatoni vodka. It has a bit of a cake to it with the creamy tomato sauce. I personally enjoy spicy pasta with the Italian sausage. Service was great. Only thing I would recommend is if someone doesn't know what they want on the menu I would give advice to ask them what they like and give recommendations or waitress to not do that. The garlic knots were perfected in Parmesan cheese. Single stall bathrooms for men and women. This place is perfect for chill dinners or lunches or even date nights. We came on a random Tuesday night and no reservations were needed.

North Italia never disappoints with their fresh food and in house made pasta. I love that the kitchen is open and you can see the food being prepared. While our waiter was really nice, I could tell he was a bit overwhelmed. There were a few mistakes with our order, but he and the manager remedied the situation very quickly. The holiday decor and drinks adds a nice touch the location.

North Italia is by far my favorite Italian restaurant in Houston! It's a very elegant and chic spot to grab a weekend brunch or a nice dinner with family and friends. The service is timely, but I recommend making a reservation because the wait times can be up to an hour. The Strozzapreti is usually my go-to, but I wanted to try something new on my most recent visit and ordered the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta, and I wasn't disappointed! I don't have a high spice tolerance, but the spice was perfect in my opinion. Big plus, they make their pasta in house! I also tried their butter cake, which came with a scoop of ice cream and was perfectly sweet. There is complimentary garage parking available. There is also valet available. Overall, I love North Italia, and it's most definitely one of my go-to spots in Houston whenever I'm wanting to have a celebration dinner or have an elevated dining experience!

We celebrated my mother-in-law's pre birthday dinner at North Italia and it was perfect from start to finish! We've been to other north italia locations but this one for sure set the bar! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcomed and special. The ambiance was warm and stylish. I would say just the right vibe for a family celebration without being too formal. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. You can really taste the freshness and quality in every bite, from the handmade pastas to the flavorful entrées and appetizers. The truffle garlic bread was a huge flavor explosion!! I had the RICOTTA CAVATELLI OMG it was hella rich... just my speed! The service stood out just as much as the food. Our server (I forgot the ladies name) was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. I swear it's so refreshing when you have a server who knows the menu! They even surprised my mother-in-law with a special birthday dessert, which made her feel extra appreciated. North Italia truly made the evening memorable. We left full and happy! I would highly recommend for any special occasion, or just a night out when you want on point Italian food!

North Italia is my go to Italian restaurant in Houston because of its consistency and fresh made pasta. The restaurant is usually packed, and you should definitely make reservations ahead of time. The restaurant decor is rustic and inviting, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. I always order the calamari which is fried and seasoned well, and served with two dipping sauces. I always order a pizza from the menu; you can't go wrong with any pizza they offer. The crust is airy and chewy, and the toppings are always delicious. All pastas are also spectacular and worth trying. The stand out to me is the bolognese which is definitely cooked for hours, and served with freshly made pasta with the perfect texture. The chicken Parmesan is also quite delectable, and it is served with a side of Alfredo pasta. My diagnosis: most consistent Italian restaurant that will not disappoint!

Tuscan Hash* with short rib alone

I visited North Italia for Sunday brunch after Halloween and what a beautiful restaurant I liked the open concept and the fact that they were a scratch kitchen meaning everything is made from scratch from sauce to pasta to dessert. Our waitresses was very nice and attentive as well as very good at recommending foods for first timers like myself. I ordered the TUSCAN HASH with braised short rib. I did find it to be a little salty. The meal was delicious with the egg but once the egg ran out I found myself looking to help tone down the salt. The braised short rib alone was delicious very flavorful. I did find the food service be a bit slow. I'm not sure if it's because things are made from scratch but it took a while. As for desert we did order beignets to be really good

I chose to celebrate my pre birthday dinner at this location. I am so glad that I did! I didn't have any trouble changing my reservation time as they were flexible. Upon arriving, parking was no issue as we parked on the street but they do have a garage. The place was clean and aesthetically beautiful. Our server provided excellent service and was knowledgeable about the menu when asked for recommendations. I opted for the house specialty, which was the bolognese a simple salad!!! Oh my!!! It was so good. They brought out an extra salad they thought was ours and ended up giving it to us for free!!! The Truffle garlic bread!!!!!!!! This was the winner at our table. Everyone enjoyed their dish and was extremely happy. They brought out a cute birthday treat with a candle!!! This is a must when you are celebrating a birthday. I really enjoyed my meal and the service!!! I will definitely return to this location.

Cocktails such as ol fashions and cape cods are plentiful here. I also appreciate they do a new york sour here which is an underrated cocktail. We had a reservation and were still seated in an overflow area while multiple tables in the main dining room sat open. We ordered drinks, and after they were brought out, no one ever came back to take our food order. Meanwhile, tables around us were fully serviced, while staff didn't even look in our direction. We waited over an hour for our table to be "ready." No one checked on us or gave updates--we had to track someone down ourselves, only to be met with an annoyed, dismissive attitude. Additionally, a manager approached us with a snarky, hostile comment about taking a photo with flash. It was a birthday dinner--of course we wanted to take a picture! Instead of being accommodating, the interaction just added to how unwelcome we already felt. After finally being seated, the horrible service continued. Our waitress attended to the table next to us multiple times and never once came back to check on us. After waiting that long just to be ignored again, we left and went to another restaurant nearby and had a significantly better experience. That level of inconsistency makes it hard not to feel like the restaurant is profiling guests and deciding who gets attention and who gets overlooked. We were also the only Latinas there, which makes the inconsistency even more uncomfortable and hard to ignore. Unwelcoming, rude, and not worth your time. It's clear this establishment wants to give off the impression of a high-end restaurant, but part of that experience is also providing the customer with decent service. Drinks were mid at best.
