Apparently there was a pizza joint here previously (mellow mushroom I think) before closing and now it's occupied by Crust Pizza which has several locations across the Houston area. We do take out here sometimes since the pizza scene in Houston is extremely mid and Crust, while not the best, does have some of it's moments in the pizza game. Some of our favorites are the blanco (olive oil based w/ bacon, roma tomatoes, garlic, spinach, red onion, mozz/parm/romano cheeses) and the carl's king (a supreme-type pizza). The madelyn's alfredo is ok; we've had the pizza twice and love the toppings but the sauce holds it back; tasted like the jar alfredo sauce. Maybe it's my taste buds but that's the flavor I get. They also serve wings, flatbread sandwiches, pepperoni rolls, garlic knots, salads, baked pastas, and desserts; a typical pizza place menu. We always get the cinnamon sticks with our order since it's nice to have something sweet to wash down all the sodium from the pizzas. I'll have to try their brownie or cookie monster next time but do it during dine-in since it comes with ice cream which doesn't hold up during take-out. While hard to find good pizza in Houston, Crust is a sound option if you're avoiding the typical pizza chains like papa john's and pizza hut. Also give props to the staff who check on the food orders before they hand it to you.

I'm reviewing a Pizza place based on their salad so I know it's less than ideal and for what it's worth, the pizza they had did look pretty good and they have a lot of different toppings and styles that you don't find easily at other places. My salad was decent too but if I'm being honest, the portion was kind of small and the cucumbers were pretty bitter- like you know how you get a dud one out of a bunch. Still, the staff was pretty nice and friendly and the atmosphere is lively and clean clean. Plenty of parking too. Once I'm off my diet or need a cheat day, I'll come back for the Pizza.

Was charged $3.50 for cauliflower crust upgrade even though the menu states $3.00.

I have been here a few times now since they've moved down the road to a smaller location on Durham. I like the Crust chain because the concept is simple, ordering process is easy, and the pre-designed pizzas are all solid. I also like their weekly specials, particularly Wine Down Wednesday with 50% off wine glasses & bottles! I've had the Garfield pizza (seasonal), Madelyn's Alfredo pizza, and the Wyatt's BBQ Chicken pizza. The Madelyn's Alfredo is definitely a unique concept in that it's a chicken alfredo on a pizza (minus the pasta), and is surprisingly good. My favorite though is the Wyatt's BBQ Chicken, as the bbq sauce provides the right amount of tanginess; the chicken is also cooked just right and is complemented by the red onions scattered throughout. The misses at this location have been the service. On times when there has been a decent crowd (restaurant about 75% full), my pizza took 20+ minutes to come out. Additionally, I've ordered wine bottles and it wouldn't come out to my table for about 10 minutes. I've been to other Crust locations where I was given the wine bottle at the counter right after paying. I'm not sure why so slow when the restaurant isn't even at full capacity but definitely room for improvement. On my latest visit at the peak of lunchtime (~12:30pm), it was very quiet as I was the only person in the restaurant. This was the one time that my pizza came out quickly, in 8 minutes. They even have a pretty good $12 lunch special deal, but seeing the place empty on a weekday lunch has me a little worried for its future. Also on my previous visit, I upgraded my pizza to Cauliflower Crust. The printed menu lists this as $3 extra. When it was rung up, the POS system had it priced at $3.50. Now I'm not one to complain about 50 cents but it's the principle that bothers me. Why prematurely change your pricing if your menus aren't even updated to reflect that. With that small of a price difference, it makes you wonder what other price increases they've quietly snuck in. I made a comment to the employee about this and while he couldn't manually change it, he gave me a complimentary drink. Great save and customer service by Diego! Crust is always top-of-mind for me in my pizza rotation but just know not to come here if you are ever in a rush. They rotate seasonal pizzas on occasion so I look forward to trying more of those.

Took my son out for a quick bite. Ordered the margherita pizza and garlic knots. We enjoyed the pizza and the garlic knots were seasoned well with a robust flavor. There was plenty of garlic n oil tossed on the bread. Order placed at the counter and a separate counter was to pickup items. There were plenty of seating inside.

Stopped by Crust Pizza for a late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday with a friend, and it hit the spot! The place was quiet when we arrived--which we appreciated--but started to pick up toward the end of our meal, giving it a nice, lively vibe without being overwhelming. We shared the meatball appetizer, which was flavorful and well-seasoned, and a great way to start things off. For our pizzas, we both did the build-your-own option. I had a stuffed crust pizza with olive oil as the base, mozzarella, ricotta, feta, spinach, grilled chicken, and fresh garlic--and let me just say, it was so good. Cheesy, garlicky, and perfectly baked. My friend went with a New York-style pizza on cauliflower crust, which she really enjoyed as well. The crust held up nicely and didn't feel like a compromise at all. Special shoutout to Lilana, who took care of us--she was so sweet, welcoming, and made sure everything was just right.

Great spot in a great location for affordable and pretty good quality pizza. Definitely a step up from the Papa Johns and a step lower than fancy places like Gypsy Poet. BBQ chicken pizza was pretty good (a little bit too much bbq sauce for my taste but otherwise yummy) and so was the Hawaiian. Staff was very friendly. Restaurant was clean with lots of big tables for sharing pizza and several large flat screen TVs for watching sports. Parking lot was big and easy out front.

Unsure if the locations are independently owned, if so....i did not have a good experience at this location. It's the 4th of July, and not much is open so I opted to stop by this location which is near my home. I had a great experience at the other location in Houston so I was expecting the same. Upon entering I noticed only 6 customers who were eating. The place had some tables that were not cleaned. The staff on the floor were folding boxes. The service was not great by the young lady who took my order and the young lady assigned to the bar. It was unclear as to whether I had to pick up my glass of wine. When I receive the wine, it was barely half a glass for $6. The portion I was given was more so the happy hour amount. The young lady never checked back on me and it seemed as if they were not interested in providing customer service. My pizza was ok. I plan on returning to the other location I previously reviewed.

First let me apologize to the elite squad for missing the date. For some reason when I initially read this, I thought it was active until today, so I waited until the last day, which I figured out was wrong . Anna took my order at the counter she understandably did not know about the elite week special. I ordered the Don's 10 inch pizza with traditional crust and a Heineken! Total $21.12. I don't know about other people's experience but mine has been pretty good like I said she brought my beer and she came by two additional sure everything was OK. Edwin brought my and let me know that if I want a nap in the silverware, they were located in the drink station area. When I started to get up Edwin graciously offered to get me silverware and napkins. I explored the restaurant and I noticed they had racks of pizza dough on aluminum plates, ready to add the sauce and toppings before placing them in the oven for cooking. I remember doing this with my kids. Again, I like to apologize to the group.

Pizza, pizza, pizza. Curbside pickup. This is subjective so for those that love it, great, but for me, it was just ok. Did a curbside pickup on Tuesday and ordered a 10 inch 2 topping for half off ($6) and the 2/$12 lunch special . Pizza (3/5) - chicken breast and mushrooms - the chicken is seasoned with something that didn't taste delicious to me but the pizza was cooked well and the crust was crispy - the dough was nice and tasty with a slight chew Lunch special comes with drink (the pick up portions seemed like a kids meal size so remember that if you are a hearty eater): Spaghetti with meatballs (2.5/5) - the taste was ok but just didn't appeal to me, the tomato sauce was a bit bland and the noodles were slightly overcooked Chicken Alfredo (3/5) - same chicken seasoning as the pizza so it just didn't fit my taste, the noodles and sauce were ok So I probably would pass on the chicken in the future but not against trying again. They need more staff. I did curbside but ended up having to go in bc no one answered the phone as instructed in the text message. The staff were friendly and helpful but I felt like there wasn't enough people to work dine in and online orders. I only saw 2 people in the kitchen area. Felt bad for them. And even through this the two I saw were nice and smiling. May try again in the future...my friend loves this place so I may just try his order.

New location....bit confusing to find the place, much better size. The place on Shepherd just seemed to big. Wasn't sure where to order. Finally found her stuck way back in the corner. Probably would have sat at one of the high top tables but there were to many "managers" congregated in the middle of the room, felt uncomfortable. We ended up in the corner in a very large booth. Pizza was good tho.

Crust Pizza is that dependable friend who always shows up, never disappoints, and somehow knows exactly how crispy you like your pepperoni. It's in a good spot, surrounded by other restaurants, with a massive parking lot; meaning no parking anxiety. Ordering is simple... you walk up, place your order, and then they deliver it to your table. They've got indoor and outdoor seating, plus a side hustle bar called The Taproom for when pizza alone isn't enough. Lunch specials, Friendly and fast service and, they have the hospital ice iykyk. My go to is the extra crispy pepperoni with mushrooms. The crust has this buttery flavor I can't quite identify like it's been kissed by Paula Deen's spirit or something. it's consistently solid and always hits the spot. Definitely a quick pizza go to.

Garlic knots 4/5 Blackened chicken capri 4/5 While, this place is mainly advertised as a pizza joint, we decided to try the other offerings of this restaurant due to my partner craving for the day. We started with the garlic knots, which is very solid and that it is pillow is soft, but the not self locked flavor without the Alfredo sauce. However, with Alfredo sauce does escalate it to an absolutely delicious combination and the soft knots are great at transporting the sauce. Then we proceeded to the pasta, which came with two slice slices of pizza surround the pasta in the middle. The pizza themselves also feel like lacked flavor compared to the Alfredo sauce of the pasta, but the pasta was an absolute delight of flavor. It's creamy and salted perfectly without being overly heavy. My only complaint was that I wish I could've exchanged the pizza for more pasta because the difference in the two was so stark. Regardless, I had a great time here and I'm happy to report that the offering outside of pizza is also worth a visit if you're ever in this part of town.

We stopped by for what was supposed to be a quick dinner, but it was a complete fiasco. When we arrived, there were only about 3 occupied tables and nobody in line so we ordered right away. After about 25 minutes and no food, we started asking about our order and 2 different members stated they would check on our orders but still nothing. The restaurant started to get a bit busier and several Uber Eats drivers started crowding the bar area waiting on orders. People that arrived after us started getting food and only 1 of our items came out. At that point we asked for a manager, only to be told there was no manager and that orders were taking long because they had run out of dough. We were given the managers info and we had to literally call him on his cell phone to make him aware of the situation because AN HOUR had passed by, people that came in much later than us had started getting their full orders and we still only had 1 cold pizza because we obviously wanted to eat together. The team lead stated that if we wanted him to remake the 1 cold pizza we did get, we had to wait an extra 20 minutes because it would have to be made after the patrons who walked in after us. That makes zero sense since we were there first. The manager stated he would call his team lead to either help get our order out or a refund. The team lead never even approached us to let us know anything so after waiting over an hour from the time we placed our order we ended up asking for a refund to go elsewhere. Beyond terrible service all the way around!

Ike's specializes in sandwiches with their Dutch Crunch bread and Dirty Sauce, both unique in its own way. Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian, vegan, or on a gluten-free diet, their menu has it all. I personally am not a super fan of the Dutch Crunch bread since I find it a bit too harsh on the palate and somewhat dry, but love the Dirty Sauce (make it extra or on the side). I enjoy subbing the Dutch Crunch with either French or Sourdough. With over 300 unique sandwiches on the menu, there's a sandwich for everyone. My favorites have been the Menage A Trois (halal chicken, honey mustard, BBQ Sauce, real honey, pepper jack, swiss, cheddar), Ike's Reuben (pastrami, mack Sauce, purple slaw, gouda), Joker (all beef meatballs, fried zucchini, Ike's red pesto, ranch), and Grant Pinkerton, a Houston exclusive (Pinkerton Brisket, pastrami, BBQ aioli, provolone). All of my sandwiches have been stuffed and tasty, worth it! However, I find some menu items to be subpar in quality and flavor (chicken strips). The service is typically quick, efficient, and friendly. There are more than a handful of tables inside and some out on the patio. I think I still prefer the thinly sliced steak flavor from Miller's Cafe. The side of fries are crispy with almost a breading on the exterior. Same fries as Piper's Cantina, if you've ever been. I'm not that into breaded fries like these, but it was good and was a large portion. The sandwich itself is on the pricier side but a decent portion. I'd like to try their other Philly cheesesteak options or add hot oil peppers like the Wicked Philly. Pappa Geno's is a great option if you want a more authentic Philly cheesesteak fix.

Watch out for their tip procedure!!! I was handed their handheld device to choose the tip amount,…read morefor which I chose 20%. When I requested a printed copy for my records, I was extremely disappointed to discover they charged the tip based on the total bill amount (including tax!) rather than the subtotal. Taxes and government fees are not part of the goods or services the restaurant provides, so they shouldn't technically be included in the service reward. I enjoyed my meal, but they shouldn't be cheating their customers.
