The meatballs were so flavorful, moist w just the right amout of seasoning, garlic, basil and a succulent marinara. Excellent

After a super busy day, we decided to change this up and go for Italian. We landed on the Diamond called Pizza Birra Vino. Coming from NJ my expectations on Italian are very high and this restaurant delivered. GREAT fresh cook to order food with premium ingredients that you taste on the 1st bite. The only thing mmissing was the overpowering smell or garlic when you enter. Very clean, with a friendly accommodating staff. The meatballs, and wedge salad were scrape the bottom of the box good. The Pizza and Cannolis spot on 5 star.

What a fantastic, neighborhood gem!! Fresh, made to order pizza and pasta that bursts with flavor. Friendly Owner and staff that will help you navigate the menu to order the best pizza and toppings for you. And they have great prices!!

Even though I have lived in Montrose for 2 years, and driven by this place numerous times, I have never stopped in before. But I needed something close to the grocery store and so we decided to stop in and see how it is. I am happy to say this place has really great food! Everyone we spoke with here was super helpful! We started with a greek salad that we split; everything was so fresh tasting and even though we split it, this was still a good portion for each of us. We then opted to do a 16" Molto Pepperoni and add mushrooms on it. The pizza is super tasty and wasn't overly filling, which I love! I like that they offer NY Style, Chicago Deep Dish and Ultra Thin crust, and even offer slices so you can try different things. The sandwiches look amazing and that is what we want to try next! They have a great wine and beer selection, too! There is ample parking here but if you choose to eat in, know that they only have 4 barstools so not a lot of room, but we ate in and were the only ones who did, everyone else seem to do pick up.

Best pastas ,salads, and sandwiches.!!

Great pizza and pastas!! Authentic Italian gourmet food.!!! I really recommend pizza birravino

Humberto and Portobello Chicken pizza

Fantastic and attentive service, awesome flavor in the pizza, and generous owner. We ordered a pizza with two different flavors that tasted great. Plus our to-go order of spaghettis was kept warm while we ate, and we received complimentary cannolis for our first time.

Chicken Florentine

Amazinggg pizza and items, really great staff and service that will make sure you're taken care of. Recommend the chicken Florentine, also their ranch is made in house. This place is a must!!

First time and won't be the last time. OMG! I love a good pizza and Pizza Birra Bino has taken the #1 spot for my Houston pizza rankings! Incredible pizza, from the amazing crust to the amazing pizza. Owner, Albert, also treated me to a wine tasting of some open bottles. The house cab was my favorite! Can't wait to go back again.

Local pizza joint located right on the corner of Waugh Dr. and Allen Pkwy was clutch and hit beyond my expectation. I shot my shot at random for better or worse and satisfied my cravings in the nic of time. I checked in on Yelp and was offered a free dessert if I purchased a 16". The boss says "Did you already order? Since you did, I'll send you on your way with a few Homemade Cannolis." It don't get no better. The pizza slices are HUGE, tastes so freaking delicious and will leave your body rocking to a slow sleep once you're finished. ALL fresh ingredients, which makes the size and quality of the pies more than affordable. Stop by and tell them I sent you.

With that said, I was unfortunate to have encounter mold in the sauce. Luckily I didn't heat it up. There's no preservatives so it doesn't last as long. They need to have a way to date the containers for each items they make. I just bought it last night and was quite upset when I was making late dinner. As soon as I got home, I kept everything refrigerated. Luckily I didn't mix it in with the pasta so I end up using a different sauce I already had on hand. Our server was friendly and made couple solid recommendations on appetizers. Two dishes stood out for me: Watermelon and tomato salad - this is my favorite thing from the dinner, the sweetness from the watermelon worked surprisingly well with the balsamic glaze and pesto, very refreshing. TexQueno - nice cheese stick made with Venezuelan cheese, paired well with the cilantro sauce. We also tried the shrimp ceviche, which was solid, but nothing too special. For the main, we went with pastas, which were let downs. For the Cioppino Linguini, the seafood was overcooked, the pasta texture wasn't great, and the dish tasted pretty bland and lack the garlicky tomato flavor you'd expect from a traditional Cioppino Linguini. The wild mushroom pasta had a bit heavy sauce, also not the best pastas, but the mushrooms were cooked well.

Anyhoo, Houston Restaurant Week (Month?) brought me to them finally, and the quest was finally completed. Reservations are a bit difficult for the weekend, at least for HRW, but I managed to snag a 5pm spot. We had to find parking in the neighborhood. We got seated immediately. The tables are a little close to each other but I don't think I could really catch conversations too easily. The food was quite excellent. For the first course, we had the corn ribs and calamari spiedino, both were fantastic, with lots of flavor. 5/5 for both. For the second course, we got the pan-roasted trout and bucatini. The fiancee liked her trout, as they got the skin nice and crispy. The bucatini was tasty, perhaps could be a little more al dente, but pretty yummy. I would say 4.5/5 for both. As for the dessert, we both got the fig leaf panna cotta, 5/5, solid. Overall assessment, food was very good, seems very chef-driven, local, and seasonal. Good flavor, and good use of veggies and herbs. Pricing is pretty fair for the type of restaurant. I would expect a non-HRW dinner to cost $30-50pp for appetizers and mains. One miss I have for the restaurant was the use of their space. The ice and silverware station(s) are way too close to guests, we were 3 tables away and the clinking sounds are loud and travels given the floors are basically concrete, fairly unpleasant to hear those sounds constantly throughout our meal. That said, we'll be back! Hopefully, it won't be in 2038!

Our take out experience was equally great and was ready when we arrived to get it. We ordered the Pastaman special to split, two side salads, a side of veggies and an extra order of bread. We especially appreciated the lack of plastic wrap for this purpose as it is so often hard to wrestle it off. Five stars for the service! The food was wonderful, as usual. The bread was a little drier than usual, but not enough to drag the rating down. I should have requested some butter. The Pastaman was delicious, as usual, and the veggies were cooked perfectly! Side Caesar salads were just right. Five for the food. Thanks Spaghetti Western for a surprisingly good take-out experience! Side note: for those who have never ordered the Pastaman Special, do it sometime. You'll thank me later. Since Italians have very firm opinions on what sauces go with each pasta I always ask! For example I select a pasta or two.....then let them select the sauce to go with it. Give it a try.
