Here everything was hot and fresh and flavorful. First off, get the Zucca chips. I could literally eat a whole basketful. I need to figure out what slicer and oil they use because I can never get mine this thin and crispy. We then Arugula and Avocado salad, which was light and refreshing. Then onto the Cacio e Pepe Arancini. Cacio e Pepe is my favorite pasta, so I was a little disappointed they don't have it on the menu as a dish itself, but the arancini was delicious! For mains, my husband had the salmon. We ordered it medium and it came more well done, however, it was perfectly crispy on the outside and still moist in the center. Very tasty. I had the ricotta cavatelli, which might be the best pasta I've ever had. The shrimp were so plump and fresh. There was plenty of crab throughout. And the flavor had the perfect amount of salt and spice. My husband, who isn't a pasta person loved it too. It's a nice open space and service was friendly. We will definitely return to try more things.

As for what I had: Zucca chips: 3/5 what I received was much different from everyone else's pictures. My chips were much smaller and mostly pieces of chips. Maybe I got the bottom of the batch? The flavor was good, but because they were small and folded in on themselves, they held a lot of the oil. The oil did taste fresh though. Eggplant parm (small plate): 3/5 most cheese and very little eggplant. The flavor was good. My waitress told me it came with noodles but then no noodles came out. I know this place is popular and everyone seems to like it. I would try it one more time just to see if maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but overall I didn't think it was worth the money.

My food choices were the pizza Terzo Cerchio, and to take home, eggplant parmigiana and lasagna bolognese (see note below on take out choices). I would rate this pizza highly. The person making them, obviously not Italian, but well trained, resulting in a quality pizza. The Roman variant, pinsa, also available. Introduction of rice flour and soy flour with the wheat flour resulting in a more digestible dough. Many entree specials not seen elsewhere. Service, great. Ambiance, great. Based on my experience with the lasagna and the eggplant, I cannot recommend these as take out items that one would refrigerate and have a day or so later. Neither held up to second day consumption and were thrown out. These dishes should be considered for consumption at the restaurant, straight out of the kitchen while still hot. Melanzane parmigiana is not a dish from Parma. It is southern and a toss up on originating in Napoli, Calabria or Sicilia. The name likely derives from the Sicilian word parmiciana, referring to the wooden slats of shutters, mirroring the layered structure of the eggplant. But there are other theories.

Although Davanti comes across as casual, there is a certain refinement that even some higher-end Italian places lack -- for instance, recommending how to eat a particular pasta dish or swapping out silverware without being asked. Food-wise, it was quite good. My husband described it as unique. We all loved the octopus appetizer. The Caesar, however, was bland -- skip it. They had a lasagna special that was cheesy, creamy, and smooth. It would be easy for such a decadent pasta dish to feel overwrought, but it was delightfully rich without crossing that line. My mother-in-law ordered a pasta with shrimp that was one note and forgettable. We all enjoyed the prosciutto pizza, though it wasn't the best I've ever had -- but that's likely because I prefer a tangier sauce, and this one leans more subtle.

Authentic Italian Food!…read more So glad my mother n law recommended this gem to me! Only Italian place in Houston that reminds me of my time in Italy, I've pretty much been all over Italy but this place gives me a more Florence aka Firenze vibe! Family owned! Interestingly enough the owner is from Florence! Customer service from Rebekah was simply outstanding and reminded me of my time in Florence where I felt as if I was family. They have fresh authentic Italian Ingredients! They have frozen Italian delicacy's you can buy like pastas, Mac n cheese, sauces, Italian sausages and more. They also make their own Italian pasta in house! They have a small coffee section, bread section and authentic Italian imported drink section. I opted in for their fresh sandwiches on focaccia bread I got the prosciutto sandwich and my wife got the caprese. My sandwich consisted of fresh arugula, (I forgot the cheese), prosciutto, balsamic vinaigrette on focaccia bread. The sandwich simply took me back to my time in Florence! Fresh and authentic ingredients! I also got a Limonata drink I forgot to take a picture of! I will be a regular customer! Tap in !

The Casetta family provides an extensive education on various products available so you know what you are getting! I was looking for something different and authentic as I have traveled throughout Italy from Milan-Florence-Naples-Rome-Amalfi Coast. So I know what they are selling is the truth!! They are available on the weekends at the farmers market for your convenience or you can stop by their store. The pasta and sauces are frozen. They also have bread available, pizza dough, and sausages from local farmers. What makes them unique is that they have chicken meatballs!!! Of course Beef meatballs are available-Both are marinating in light marinara sauce. Coffee is available and they have daily fresh made sandwiches for lunch. Dessert-Tiramisu This is my go to from now on for pasta and sauce!!! The service was amazing and they offered me a sample of a Biscotti that was to die for...I made the mistake of eating it without coffee because it was so good. I will be back to purchase more and will be bringing my mom. Thank you Casetta!!! You provided such a wonderful welcome!!!

(They were together for thirteen years, so as parents we became quite good friends.) Auntie Pasto's was a favorite of my daughters growing up. Initially went on autopilot to the original location. Pivoted to come to their new location on Bellaire. In the mood for eggplant Parmesan. Theirs is less breaded, so it is a bit lighter. Served with spaghetti with marina sauce and grilled veggies, it is a very hearty Italian meal. I forgot how generous their portions have been. Took half home for the lunch the next day. Added a salad for $2.95. Love their vinaigrette dressing which I get on the side. Nice place for a get together with our Girl Scout parent supper club. Let's see where we land next quarter.

We ordered a house salad with three pasta dishes to share among 4 people, and an additional sin pie for dessert. Staff took a bit of time to get to us, but was very quick and attentive. Complemented the ravioli very well. -black pepper fettuccini with shrimp - their flagship special, a very well done dish, but also very creamy -fettuccini with jalapeño and shrimp - we want to try another fettuccine dish, but admit this was too much for our plate. We couldn't really taste the jalapeño or other vegetables in ordering the black pepper fettuccine outshone this dish. Additional sin pie for dessert that a group of four only took one bite each of because it was so rich.

Emilio was incredible--very attentive to our needs and made sure we were 100% satisfied with everything throughout our meal. I've never experienced service quite like this before. Even as we were leaving, the staff opened the door for us and sent us off with a warm handshake, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was also a 10/10. The build-your-own pasta menu was fantastic and offered so many different options. The weekday happy hour until 6:30 p.m. is hard to beat, especially with $6 Aperol Spritzes and margaritas. The complimentary focaccia bread was delicious, and the olive oil, balsamic, and garlic dipping sauce was the perfect touch. We also ordered the fried calamari, and the sauce it came with was unlike any marinara I've ever had--in the best way possible. Everyone there was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere made me feel like I was transported somewhere else entirely. It's also very family-friendly, making it a great spot for any occasion. Definitely my new date night spot, and I can't wait to come back. I highly recommend Mia Bella's to anyone looking for amazing food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

I was meeting a former colleague for lunch and he recommended this place. He'd apparently had many meetings here before, and I can see why. Service was absolutely top notch, and the meal itself was amazing. For being in the bustling Galleria area, this location is a bit tucked away, creating a more quiet and intimate atmosphere despite a relatively small dining room. Of course, that may have just been the case since it was lunch time and the restaurant wasn't busy. I skimmed the lunch specials and went with the pork chop, which was accompanied by broccoli and mashed potatoes, as well as a salad. The Ceasar salad was good, but forgettable. I've had better at several other places, including one of Carrabba's other locations. The pork chop was perfectly grilled, and despite just being one ~8oz piece, was the right amount of filling with the sides that I went back to work feeling full but not so much that I felt lethargic. I'm looking forward to coming back here, specifically to bring my wife for a date.

One friend got there before us and we were asked to move tables before 2 of us sat. We started trickling in and one friend said she wouldn't make it. We were asked to move tables again. We declined. We did not have one set waiter so different waiters kept coming at different times. I did not care for the portions or the presentation of the food served. We all paid, a friend paid and excused herself as she had to leave, she walked outside towards the garage and a waiter ran out and followed her outside and brought her back in to the restaurant. She was asked to provide payment again, she had already signed her receipt and had left the restaurant. She declined to provide her card again. When I paid, I signed everything asked to make sure my payment had gone through, a day later I noticed that my card had been charged twice! I called my bank to dispute the charges. I will not be coming back.
