Crab Cake
Felina S.

Small business in shopping center- quiet area with great friendly service. Saturday evening and we were seated right away- got busier as we sat. Complimentary bread and oil was warm, toasty and tasty- never ending too! The crab cake was a bit lacking- not much flavor in the crab cake and the sauce it's in was salty and made the bottom of cake soggy. The fettuccine with shrimp was good- definitely tasted the fresh pepper, shrimp were cooked well and large! If you love saucy pastas this was the one! Overall tasty and great for a nice weekend or weekday family meal!

Spaghetti w/creamy sauce cheese, tilapia, shrimp w/ sautéed veggies. Great portion for lunch, had to take half home.

One of my best friends recommended this place to go since we were both in the Meyerland area at the time this past Tuesday. Such a great mom& pop restaurant. Staff made a great suggestion for one of their lunch specials , great portion size for lunch. Had to take half home , highly recommend this place. Quite delicious!

We came here on a weekend and they were fully busy. Despite that they were able to seat us in a booth that had just been vacated. Quick and efficient service. We ordered a Caesar salad (side) with our entrees and they were delicious. For my entree I got the chicken marsala. It was so good! Reminded me of the kind of food I used to get from one of my favorite neighborhood spots when I used to go out with my family growing up! For dessert we got the "to die for" which was layers of lady fingers with various berries and cream throughout. While I wouldn't say that this dessert was necessarily to die for, my dining partner absolutely devoured it. Next time I will be trying the tiramisu. The cappuccino was a little too bitter for me but that's probably because the dessert was too sweet. I would love to go back and try other dishes.

Seven years ago we ate at an Auntie Pasto's in Pearland and enjoyed it. We gave this Bellaire location a try. My wife had the Ravioli with meat sauce and liked it, I tried one and concurred. I enjoyed the Lasagna with meat sauce and a hot cappuccino.

MY FAVORITE MOM AND POP ITALIN SPOT IN HOUSTON!! I can't get enough of this place! The black pepper shrimp pasta is definitely a must try!! And their to die for cake is my top 3 cakes in houston area. Ambiance is cute, makes me feel like I'm in a small restaurant somewhere in Italy. Service is good as always. I'll never stop coming here! I wish more people knew about this place bc the owner is very friendly and a kind person.

Complimentary bread was nice and soft served with garlic olive oil. Recommended muscle with white wine sauce. The muscle was not fishey and good combination with wine sauce. Pasta was big potion but they were tasteless, need to add salt and pepper. I was not sure this restaurant might have different chef. I went there several times, the flavor was not consistency. The server was good and friendly. Very big parking lot.

We sat on the patio and even though we were there for two hours our server never missed a beat! We ordered a bottle of Prosecco to start and he was always there right before our wine glasses were empty to refill them, and then again to get us started on something else when the bottle was gone. Our waters were never empty, as soon as a plate was cleared it was gone, as we finished a slice of pizza he was there to serve our next. The food was all lovely: we had the insalata Bianca and the arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette, we both agreed the arugula salad was our favorite, I'm not usually a fan of a salad with just arugula in it, but this was so good I'm going to go home and try to duplicate the dressing so I can make all the time! We then had the Rabiola and Salsiccia E Friarielli pizzas, both cooked perfectly, our server recommended the rabiola and so glad we got it! Finished off with great coffee and the chef brought us out these amazing little dark chocolate truffles and biscotti to go with it. Honestly, one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. I wish I lived here so I could go again soon! But I will definitely be back next time I am in Houston!

Suffice to say, we have this on our go back and keep trying the dishes list. Everything was excellent. Emilio, our server was great, the restaurant itself is open but cozy, and they dimmed the lighting as the sun went down and it was really nice. Our glasses stayed full, and the food was amazing. We got the mushroom pastry thing from the appetizers - perfection. The pastry itself was a knockout but the "sauce" was *chefs kiss*. It's something I already desperately want to recreate at home but know it won't get there, c'est la vie. Anyways, the specials sounded amazing but we settled for giving the regular menu a whirl. He had the seafood lasagna and I had the chicken piccata. Both were excellent. Their chicken piccata take is better than the standard version - highly recommend. Hubs said the lasagna was great too. All in all, we loved everything, can't wait to go back. I'd also rate Mia Bella extremely high on value - for service, food quality, and portion size they're very reasonable on cost.

I recently discovered Gold Tooth Tony's after craving Detroit-style pizza for months. I had tried…read moreit for the first time in Manhattan and honestly didn't realize anyone in the Houston area made it until I came across this place. It was fantastic. I've ordered delivery to work twice now, and both times the food has been consistently good with really quality ingredients. I've had the Veggie Supreme Detroit-style pizza and the Margherita pizza, and both were excellent. The crust has that perfect crispy edge while still being soft and fluffy inside. This is also a great option for vegetarians because there are so many topping choices. They offer things like banana peppers, Calabrian chiles, caramelized onions, charred togarashi pineapple, confit onions, olive salad, pickled jalapeños, roasted maitake mushrooms, roasted red peppers, sliced roma tomatoes, and more. They also have spinach artichoke dip plus chips and queso, which I wasn't expecting from a pizza place. I can't really speak to the dine-in experience since I've only ordered delivery, but based on the food alone, I highly recommend giving them a try if you're looking for Detroit-style pizza in the Houston area.

But recently I checked online and it closes at 10p, wow who knew? So I stopped inside recently around 9p. They had already put the chairs up on the tables, and again was dark inside except for the kitchen, so it looked closed. But the door was open so I went in. The staff member said yes we are still open just prepping for closing. I assume due to no customers. Parking- a shared lot out front with businesses. No issue there. Food- I tried to order the salad first. But they said the shipment wouldn't come in for a few days so I couldn't order the pizza/salad combo that I wanted. I went with 181 heights pizza for carry out, took less than 10 min. It was good, but not amazing. It honestly reminded me of 90s Domino's deep dish that they had back in the day. If this is what they were going for, then nailed it! Bottom line the price of $21 for a personal size pizza didn't match the flavor for me. But I know this place has a following already, so no shortage of customers. This biz will be fine. Enjoy!

My food choices were the pizza Terzo Cerchio, and to take home, eggplant parmigiana and lasagna bolognese (see note below on take out choices). I would rate this pizza highly. The person making them, obviously not Italian, but well trained, resulting in a quality pizza. The Roman variant, pinsa, also available. Introduction of rice flour and soy flour with the wheat flour resulting in a more digestible dough. Many entree specials not seen elsewhere. Service, great. Ambiance, great. Based on my experience with the lasagna and the eggplant, I cannot recommend these as take out items that one would refrigerate and have a day or so later. Neither held up to second day consumption and were thrown out. These dishes should be considered for consumption at the restaurant, straight out of the kitchen while still hot. Melanzane parmigiana is not a dish from Parma. It is southern and a toss up on originating in Napoli, Calabria or Sicilia. The name likely derives from the Sicilian word parmiciana, referring to the wooden slats of shutters, mirroring the layered structure of the eggplant. But there are other theories.

Although Davanti comes across as casual, there is a certain refinement that even some higher-end Italian places lack -- for instance, recommending how to eat a particular pasta dish or swapping out silverware without being asked. Food-wise, it was quite good. My husband described it as unique. We all loved the octopus appetizer. The Caesar, however, was bland -- skip it. They had a lasagna special that was cheesy, creamy, and smooth. It would be easy for such a decadent pasta dish to feel overwrought, but it was delightfully rich without crossing that line. My mother-in-law ordered a pasta with shrimp that was one note and forgettable. We all enjoyed the prosciutto pizza, though it wasn't the best I've ever had -- but that's likely because I prefer a tangier sauce, and this one leans more subtle.

The pork chop had a beautiful char and was full of flavor--slightly undercooked, yes, but still delicious enough to carry the whole meal. I do wish they had mashed potatoes on the menu, though... it would have made it perfect. We also shared the Brussels sprouts, and sadly, they missed the mark this time.
