Anyone saying this isn't Houston's best pizza is full of Bollosh**. Bollo is some of the best pizza I've ever had. Okay, it's expensive, but so is a date with my gf (or me). It's as close to real Italian as you'll get in the US, it's the kind of place that would even be excellent in New York, New Haven, New Jersey, or any other cold place that starts with New. The fact that it's in Texas just makes me appreciate it more. This location doesn't have sit down, but it has the same magical pizza as the Upper Kirby location, and the Carne Trio is best of all. For date night, go to the other one, but if you are up near the Heights or Northside or Northwest, this is a dream come true. People say the best pizza in town is between this and Pizzana. This Bollo place is way below average. YUCK. Save your $. Pizza Hut, Dominos, Daddy-O's, DiGiorno, etc. is loads better. When the children and adults pass on pizza that is not a good sign. Cold, soggy, flavorless pizza is what they have so if you need a prop for a show or video, this might be the place to visit except they are so overpriced for what they provide -poor quality and not like the photos from their website, go elsewhere - NOT good pizza. read more

This was a cool location! I saw the large sign stating kids pizzas! This was perfect because I was only looking for a snack and not a large meal. When you enter their are three kiosks for you to choose from. They will call your order on a microphone when it's ready. There's so much outdoor seating to choose from! The pizza was a perfect size and paid about $7.58 with tax. It comes with a juice box too! It was tasty and flavorful! I would definitely come back to try more items! I ordered a pickup order through yelp which then used DoorDash I believe- my order was ready quickly and service was great no problem there. Food- the pizza would be fine- BUT the cheese is horrible!!! I hate the cheese!!!! It is the first time I've ever gotten any food from here and I wanted a pizza for once and I was looking for a gluten free pizza crust that was not cauliflower bc I hate cauliflower crusts so I chose bollo for that- but the cheese is awful!!!! Kid pizza (cheese or pepperoni option only) comes with a juice box ($7) and has a thicker dough and thicker layer of cheese. I like how the dough has a bit of a crunchy crust. Small pizza ($12) has more variety of options but is either cooked in less time or is cooked so it's less likely to be overcooked, which means the toppings don't get as hot and the crust is a little less crispy than expected. The Sicilian sausage tasted more bland than I expected. The cheese does pull nicely, but I want it to be piping hot at the same time, which it wasn't. The restroom is a toilet with sink in a janitor/ supply/ electrical room. It's quite crowded, and there's nowhere to hang your purse. There's plenty of seating outside under the overhang, but it's quite chilly in the winter. Inside, there's a painted menu listing the different types of specialties with the ingredients. You order via one of the kiosks they have in the front. Pizzas come out in 10-15 min. read more

Top Notch ingredients. Crust is light and fluffy. I ordered the Fungi de Something Pizza. And man I could it eat it all day. My only gripe is that the pizza is expensive for the size of an old school personal pan pizza at pizza hut. The pizza was 12 bucks. First time in bollo, I was expecting wood fire flavor but it didn't taste like that, ordered a gluten free and a regular pizza, the regular pizza was good to be a non handmade dough, tasted really good, the glute free pizza unfortunately was overcooked and the crust was burnt and the size changed for a smaller pizza just because I ordered a gluten free crust. I love the original Bollo. I like the salads, the pizza, and the ambience. For what you get, I'm ok with the price. For some reason, I thought you'd get the same at the new location. No, not even close. It's a take-away joint that pretends you can eat there too. ( Yes you can eat there but it's outside.....in Houston)You don't interact with anyone. If you eat there you sit outside, and you don't even get plates (not even paper plates) and yet, for two people to eat, was still $50 with no tip, wine or enjoyment. Maybe it's designed to be 100pc take away but the style of pizza doesn't lend itself to this. But hey, TIP us, as declared by the computer check out! Too much for too little. Plus, heads up for people who like original bollo pizza, the crust here is thicker and the cheese is not melted. And the salads are smaller. A S*barro would be better suited for the location. As for the location itself, it screams of a concept created by a person who has never stepped within the boundaries of Harris County. Oh, let's have people eat outside! Oh, let's have people park and have to walk to the destination! and the real kicker - oh let's have plastic grass. Oh, wait what? Plastic grass = tacky. The stores and restuarants face towards a rectangle of fake grass. Not an english garden, or a rose garden or a koi pond but plastic tacky grass. Well, it must be a dog park. Let your dog loose, have a piece of over priced pizza, and relax. Nope. No dogs allowed! Summer time this concept will be undoable for Houston. I really can't think of anything redeeming about this place. On top of it all, disco music of contemporary artists played so loud in the out door speakers, I needed ear plugs. This place is a wonderful place to sit and relax!!! The pizza is perfectly baked, the options are incredible, and the wait time is practically nonexistent! Whole thing from ordering to starting to chow down probably took 10 min! They don't have any dining room seating, but there's a wonderful outdoor park area to sit and relax as you eat! The pizza was good with fresh ingredients. My main complaint is the ambiance/experience. You walk in and walk down a very narrow walkway which was difficult with a baby carrier/ stroller. We didn't know what to do or how to order since nobody greets you or tells you how anything works. You order from a kiosk which was difficult to customize (basically designed like ordering from DoorDash or Uber) with 2-3 tables outside if you want to eat there. Overall pizza was good but remainder of experience was lacking for a $50 meal! Not sure I'll be back. read more
