I really wanted to love Lazy Lane, and while it didn't quite wow me, it was still a pleasant experience overall. The service was attentive, friendly, and took care of us from start to finish. The ambience is also a big plus; it's a beautiful space with a relaxed, inviting vibe that makes it easy to enjoy your time there. That said, the food itself didn't stand out as much as I had hoped. It wasn't bad by any means, just not particularly memorable. For me, it's the kind of place I'd be fine not revisiting. Overall, a nice spot with strong service and setting, but I was hoping for a bit more from the food.

Saturday brunch Very cute neighborhood spot with a nice bar, side patio, main dining and outdoor lounge out front. Private parking lot. Nice variety and flavors with a few missteps of undercooked potatoes and pasta. Best: Farro & brassica salad, Snapper, Braised beef hash, Burrata bolognese, Blueberry lemon pancakes The S'mores board is a fun interactive dessert. Super sweet but nicely balanced by champagne lol

Amazing place and really quiet, love the staff and the food. This is truly a hidden gym indeed, if it stays like this with not alot of people especially for brunch this will be a treasure! Love this place and will be back again

Came here on a Saturday night with my wife at 6:30pm. Parking lot is huge but horribly laid out so not alot of spots. Got seated and it took us 10+ minutes to get drinks ordered. Drinks came back back so kudos to the bartender. Took us another 30 minutes to get an order in. Not sure what was going on as it's not a huge dining room and I counted at least 5 waiters. Ordered the steak tartar since it's one of my all time favorites. I'll tell you something. I've ester probably 10 different variety's of steak tartar in Houston and this by far is the worst I've ever tasted. Imagine a potato salad (although they're really unique here since they're purple but seriously like a 4th of July potato salad but with but stringy and not good quality raw steak on top. Seriously this chef should be ashamed. I'm usually well balanced when I review restaurants but this is should not be served. Hard stop. For our mains I got the "smoked" pasta. Not sure what was smoked about it as I tasted no smoke. It was just bucatini in a Parmesan sauce with bacon....my wife got the snapper with "crispy" fingerling potatoes. I've attached picture. You be the judge on what constitutes "crispy". Overall this place needs a lot of work. Ambiance and the building are well done and clean but between the horrible service and food this place is not long if it doesn't turn it around.

We hosted a last minute holiday work party and we loved it! The accommodations were perfect and they were very sweet! They were newly opened when I hosted a 15 party Christmas cocktail party but they did a good job! Very cute restaurant, wish I lived closer! The potato pizza was the favorite of the night, so so good!

We had a very nice dinner at LL on a recent Saturday night for my husband's birthday. Our server was Paris and she was wonderful. The ambience is elegant. Didn't take pics of all our dishes but will say all of these were delicious. The pizza was for our young grandkids.

We heard about this new neighborhood place that was both family friendly but with elevated options. Unfortunately, beyond our hopes most of the critical elements food, service and ambiance were good but not interesting. We likely will give it at least a year to see if it gets better.

Birria Pasta - definitely one of a kind dish that you won't be able to find anywhere else. Highly recommend.

Lazy Lane is a wonderful new addition to the neighborhood and definitely worth a visit. The space is beautifully decorated, very clean, and welcoming. The servers were friendly and attentive, which made the experience lovely. The menu is simple and easy to read without feeling limited or overwhelmed. We started with the meatballs as an appetizer and enjoyed two entrées, all of which were well prepared, full of flavor and satisfying. We're already looking forward to coming back to try the potatoes pizza, s'mores and strawberry Pop-Tart dessert. Highly recommend checking Lazy Lane good for casual dinner, date night or group dinners.

Lazy Lane has got to be my new favorite restaurant, I love that it's in my area, thank you for making my neighborhood better! My friend and I both ordered pasta dishes, which were absolutely phenomenal. I ordered the birria pasta, which was to die for. My friend, ordered the bolognese, which was Amazing. The cocktails are fantastic, too, love the vibe and the ambience. You Gotta check it out.

The Food and the ambiance was fantastic highly recommend. Our top choice was the smoked pasta with bacon bits in it.

So, I know they recently opened and still getting some kinks worked out so want to say that first. Definitely have room for improvement. For food. Lamb sausage/butternut squash pizza - interesting but not cooked well and really floppy and wet. Carrot salad - again, interesting but nothing super flavorful. For mains - filet was cooked nicely and was good. Birria pasta dish was fine. And snapper was good but sides didnt pair well. Everything was fine but left me hoping for more flavor. Micro greens added tartness that made things off for me. Service: a bit uneven and not fully knowledgeable of the menu, flavors, nor able to provide guidance. Prices are a bit higher for what you get. But biggest kicker for me is the 3% credit card surcharge. I didn't see anything about this charge on the menu nor was notified as I used my credit card on the device. The charge device was presented with only the total so you never see itemization. I always get the receipt via text after the fact and noticed once I got home. It's just annoying-while they can do this they should do a better job in understanding total costs of running a business and set menu prices accordingly. Probably won't be going back anytime soon.

Came here for my bookclub! Loves and vibes, drinks & food! Got the side of fries & lemon gin martini!

    Blueberry Lemon Pancakes

A higher end restaurant in the neighborhood that we needed. The potato pizza was our favorite. We also came for brunch and had the pancakes, which were also really good. Highly recommend! We were impressed with the bar selection and service! We will be back!

Parking: Tons of parking here surprisingly, both a paved lot and a pebble lot. We had a reservation for 3 at 7PM and were promptly seated at a booth after a small line of people. Order-to-Appetizer: 15 Minutes Order-to-Entrees: 30 MInutes For three people, we ordered: Dairymaid's Cheese Board (4/5): Comes with four cheeses, five small pieces of sourdough, honey-spritzed grapes, green Granny Smith apples, and fava beans. I wish they gave us more bread with the cheeses and preserves. The four cheeses provided were slices of a five-year aged Cheddar, Oveja Anejo, Tomarashi, and Gruyere. I enjoyed the Tomarashi the most. It is a bit pricey for what you get, but very sharable and a great starter. Shady Acres Pizza with prosciutto (3.5/5): I really don't like getting thin crust pizza that isn't crispy, and unfortunately this was a soggy thin crust pizza. The toppings themselves were very flavorful, and the end parts were crispy enough. 5 Cheese Calzone with chicken (3.5/5): Whew, five cheeses makes for a salty calzone. The side marinara sauce provides a good balance. It's very filling. Chicken might have been a good addition because prosciutto might have made it too salty. It was larger than expected which was nice for sharability. Service was kind of iffy. They were pretty rude with not providing us utensils and seeming almost angry that we asked for some for the cheese board. They mixed up our order (we asked for chicken on the pizza and prosciutto on the calzone and they flipped it) and seemed almost apologetically serving us afterwards. Overall, would recommend as a relaxed date spot at a reasonable price. I paid via inKind and applied referral credit with no issues. Would come back with inKind credit, probably not at full price.

The parking situation wasn't great -- mostly street parking, and it felt pretty hectic. The restaurant itself is quaint but small, so it gets crowded and loud inside. We had a patio reservation and were seated in the covered patio, which ended up being perfect since it was freezing outside and much quieter than the main dining room. For food and drinks, I ordered a nonalcoholic spritz, which was really refreshing. We shared a pizza that was pretty good, and I ordered the black pepper and parmesan spaghetti. It was okay -- not bad, but nothing too memorable. Overall, we enjoyed our food, and our waiter was very nice and attentive. I'd recommend trying it out and definitely making a reservation.

Considering the casual upscale nature of the restaurant, we expected a bit more attention to the table in terms of checking in order additional dishes / drinks. The tables were also quite small and our table in particular was a bit uncomfortable to dine at. Food wise, we were impressed with everything but their pizza's. Their appetizers were solid, both pasta dishes were delicious, and flavor and portions were solid. Their pizza style is a thicker crust style and we weren't a fan of the duck pizza at all, and their pepperoni based pizza was fine. Not the biggest fan of their dough or crust. Their cavatelli was delicious!

Unfortunately, Paulie's is closing on 12/31/25 so I had to come in 1 more time to get my pasta fix. I came here right at 1145am on a Thurs just before their major lunch rush came in. Their service is counter service, which is generally quick and efficient, but their food is definitely full service dine in quality. The casual ambiance makes this a popular spot for lunch everyday of the week. As far as the food goes, they have a variety of pasta, salad, paninis, entrees, and sandwiches to choose from. I generally rotate between getting their bucatini amatraciana and their canestri alla funghi. The half portion is already a ton of food especially if you add chicken or another protein. Get the full portion if you're looking to share or take home leftovers for sure. The pasta here always comes out piping hot, consistently delicious, and it comes with their perfectly buttered toasted bread to soak up all the sauce. The food came out within 20 minutes of ordering but was disappointing. I ordered the creste de gallo (full portion), pesto (half portion), and rigatoni bolognese (full portion) to share. The portions looked pretty similar despite the price difference. The Creste de gallo was cold and had no flavor. I'd had this pasta in the past and remember it being spicy and yummy, but the dish I had on this visit was bland. There were also maybe less than 10 half thin slices of sausage in there and 3 slivers of onion, which seemed tiny for the $25 charge. The pesto was room temperature and was also bland ($15). The rigatoni bolognese was the only hot dish and had a little bit of flavor ($25). There was also no complimentary bread anymore which was a disappointment. They're closing soon, so that may be why the food was subpar. The interior was clean and the employees were nice enough. Parking was along the street.
