This spot is super popular, and there's almost always a line outside. They don't have too much seating inside, and you order at the counter then get seated with a number. We came on the earlier side and ended up waiting around 20 minutes before ordering. I got the dover and fries, and this was probably one of the best fish and chips dishes I have ever had! The fish was super duper thin and coated generously, and then topped with some seasoning mix that was so flavorful. The fries / potatoes were also insanely crispy and flavorful - the skins were the best part. I also really liked the tarter sauce that it came with! I can still remember how it all tastes. Definitely recommend the dover and chips, and I'll have to be back to try other menu items!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally made it ! This is a small shop in Fremont, and I have never not seen a line out the door, but they turn tables pretty quickly. On a Saturday evening, we waited in line about 20 minutes and then were able to order and be sat. All the staff was very friendly. Even though they were constantly busy and wearing different hats, they were helpful, smiling and overall really nice. The food was solid. We tried the smoked salmon dip with chips, the fried chicken sandwich and the the black cod kasusuke. The crab rolls were sold out by the time we got there or we definitely would have tried those. The salmon dip was good, lots of dill, and the chips were crispy. The fried fish sandwich was light, which was nice for something fried, and the roll it was on was soft and warm. The black cod kasusuke was my favorite dish of the meal. The black cod was tender and fell apart, and it was seasoned so nice. It came with a spinach salad and rice which was also delicious. If I could give half stars, this would be pushing a 4.5. Nothing blew me away, but everything was fresh and enjoyable!

Tried the salmon salad this time and it was delicious. It was well dressed and the salmon was very fresh and tasty. A great option for a lighter lunch or dinner

On the higher price-end, Local Tide has a small menu of gorgeous healthy and fresh dishes! The shrimp toast is 100% in the top 3 bites I have had in Seattle, absolutely no doubt!!! Just be mindful that the portions are a little small for what you spend though

POV: you just got out of the Fremont Flea Market(s) (both, mind you) after a morning of browsing through so many antique goodies that your head is spinning. The wind is howling. Your fingers are getting numb. Hunger blurs your vision. And then your trusty friend says, "I know a place for food." After a quick drive and gentle uphill walk, you arrive at none other than Local Tide. There's a line out the door. Your stomach gurgles. "It's worth the wait, I think," your friend proclaims nervously. You all choose to wait. When you get inside, you find that the crab roll you'd been salivating over is sold out. Devastating, but no matter-- you'd already chosen the salmon sandwich as your backup. Your friends also order the shrimp toast and smoked salmon belly dip to share. The sweet cashier thanks you all, offers you a seat quickly and says your food will be right out. The smoked salmon belly dip comes first. DELECTABLE. You're already starving at this point, but the staff notified you that there would be a slight delay with the other food, so you begin to ration the chips and dip. Fifteen minutes pass. Twenty. Once it's nearing 35 minutes, you're getting antsy. You're supposed to be at Pac-Sci by now, and it's already 3:15. Will you make it in by 5? Your friends are getting hangry. Tensions are high. Maybe you should just eat the cost of the sandwich and go... Just when you think all hope is lost, the waft of oil, mayo, and fried goodness hits your nose. It's here. The glorious shrimp toast and salmon sandwich arrive to the table, along with the cod, another salmon sandwich, and the rockfish bowl. The waiter serves you all an apologetic look and all of the previous heat melts away. Everyone digs in immediately, and for 10 minutes, the table is silent save for vigorous chewing and occasional "this is so good"s. You finish your meal. The sky is clear. You make it to Pac Sci in time. Would come back for that smoked salmon dip. Thank you, Will, for the rec.

I recently saw a post on IG about the food at Local Tide. I decided to take a drive over and see for myself, what this place was all about. There is not much parking available in the area, aside for the paid parking lots in the surrounding area; I almost gave up, but was able to find free street parking. Remember to check the signs, as not all street parking is free. I arrived for a late lunch, a little after 1 pm. The restaurant was fairly busy, around 70% capacity. There was a sign with instructions for seating and ordering posted outside. Upon entering, I was greeted by a very friendly worker; I informed her that I had never been there before and asked what she recommended. While I have done this many times, very rarely has the person opposite me asked my preferences in food and made suggestions accordingly. I explained that I wasn't too hungry but did want to try a couple items. She informed me that the shrimp toast was an item that almost every table ordered, then proceeded to detail how the dish was prepared and what it was served with. After ordering the shrimp toast, I was given a few more suggestions and decided on the smash burger. As many more businesses are moving away from accepting cash payments, I was asked for "exact change" if paying in cash. I explained that I wanted to leave extra money for tip, but if that meant paying by card I could do so. They were able to make the $5 change I needed. The shrimp toast showed up quickly after I sat at the bar. It wasn't as oily as I expected, which was great. Combined with the slaw, I really enjoyed this dish. The smash burger followed quickly behind the shrimp toast. The burger was quite filling, I ended up taking half to go.

Seattle did NOT disappoint when it came to the food options! I spent my birthday weekend in Seattle and my godsister recommended this spot. It is counter service and a line was already forming, always a good sign. The menu is small but still has so many choices at the same time, so we ended up ordering almost everything. When I say everything was sooooo delicious and fresh, I mean I still think about that food to this day. Truly phenomenal. The place itself is really cute but there is not a lot of seating. Luckily we were able to sit, wait, and eat next door at the wine bar. The staff was friendly and very helpful. 10 out of 10 birthday stop!

Literally the best fish and chips my boyfriend and I have ever had. The fish has a house blend of seasoning on it and the fries are crisped to perfection. The tartar sauce with a touch of dill was a perfect pairing. Staff was friendly and attentive. Just go and get it.

I came for dinner and it was quite busy. You order at the front before sitting down, which can be confusing if you didn't know. I ordered the chowder and my friends ordered the Rockfish Banh Mi and Fried Oysters. Overall, the food was good but a tad expensive for the amount of food, specifically the Fried Oysters. I'd try the Shrimp Toast next time and maybe the Dover & Fries.

Your reliably delicious neighborhood quick eat seafood spot. The owners/front staff have always been really friendly to me. Yes, they get busy as they are high on tourist spots but if you can get there early, it's worth it. My go to order are the fish sandwich, crab roll (only available Friday to Sunday), and when I feel like red meat, the smash burger. Inside is clean, you can see the kitchen, no fuss vibes in terms of service since lots of people are waiting but you can sit and chat if you want.

My brother and I visited on a random Tuesday for a late lunch, and thankfully there was no line. I've heard the lines can get pretty long here, so what a relief! We ordered the tuna melt special, shrimp toast, and clam chowder to share. I was expecting the clam chowder to be creamy, but the broth was more thin and runny than thick and creamy. It was decent, but nothing mind blowing. I enjoyed the shrimp toast the most; it was flavorful, crispy, and made for yummy bites with the sauces provided. The tuna melt special was $24 and tiny for the price in my opinion. They should split this sandwich into two instead of having it be one gigantic mess to eat. It was pretty good, but again nothing to rave about. We spent about $37 each and I still left hungry afterwards which is not ideal. The ambience is cozy and warm, and service is standard. I do think it's quite overpriced and overrated so probably wouldn't go back, but I'm glad I got to try Local Tide!

    Rock Fish Banh Mi

I got the rockfish banh mi. So good. All the flavors and ingredients pair together really well. It definitely is a messy sandwich and a bit difficult to hold together while you eat but the taste more than makes up for it. Really solid spot and I definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu!

    Rockfish Sandwich
    Sarah H.

I tried the salmon dip and the rockfish bahn mi. The chips were warm and crispy, the salmon dip was such a great appetizer. The rockfish was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed the toppings and sauce on the sandwich. We sat at the bar so it was cool to be so up close to the food being cooked and the preparation. The presentation of everything was also so impressive. We went on a Saturday for an early dinner and we didn't have to wait for a spot to open up. Overall, I enjoyed that their menu wasn't too expansive but still had a variety. I will definitely be coming back to introduce friends to the place!

Sabine has been running under the radar for us because by day it's a chic cafe, but by night it becomes a delicious restaurant! We were told to go for dinner by quite a few people and finally, on a Friday night it worked out! We did get a reservation which I highly recommend because the place was PACKED. We got the Hummus, the Roast Lamb Flatbread, and the Chicken Schnitzel. The flatbread was good, really nicely balanced, but i know this is crazy: the schnitzel was the standout! The most competent schnitzel with delicious salad and pickle topper you can imagine. The hummus was vital, and we got more pita to eat with it because WOW. Smooth and creamy with a harissa topping. Amazing. Next time we want to try the kebabs. Austin was an incredible waiter who was available at just the right intervals, and also made recommendations while giving us restaurant info and chatting just enough- which is a skill!!! Friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond for us. The seasonal blackberry ice cream was wildly good and I'd go back just for that. But seriously don't miss out of the load bearing hummus. got the Notorious PIG sandwich and the Buttermilk Biscuit while I was here…read more Starting with the sandwich, there were a ton of things to love about this The very first thing I noticed was how all-time crispy the pork belly was. Interestingly, the meat came in two separate pieces, arranges somewhat like an X or a cross in the middle of the sandwich. This certainly wasn't the eating experience of a typical sandwich with a circular meat patty, and I appreciate the creativity here. The meat was insanely crunchy, oily, and quite plentiful. Each bite felt a bit like you were biting into a crunchy churro, but without the sweetness. I did think the outside of the pork did overpower the inside, though, as I didn't taste the meat or the fat inside much, and due to the amount of breading the pieces ended up being a bit chewy The bun was quite good as well - it was pretty soft, fluffy, and served as a really good bookend to all the ingredients inside. I thought the lettuce and onions also were good. I don't know if I'm a fan of the jelly on the sandwich - but again, I do like the creativity. What did shine here was the aioli, however. In a lot of places, you don't really taste the aioli on a burger - but that flavor was ever-present on this sandwich, and it was really fantastic. The absolute best part of the meal, by far, though, was the biscuit I have to start with how huge this is. This is certainly not the size of a typical Southern-style buttermilk biscuit - rather this biscuit makes no apologies in its effort to stand out from the crowd. Absolutely nobody would mistake this for a traditional biscuit - on the contrary, I think on first glance most people would assume this isn't a biscuit at all. It's shaped more like a massive pastry. I hesitate to say that looks are deceiving, because it does look great, but its taste manages to elevate past that. This was SO good. The edges are baked perfectly - they're oily, crispy, crunchy, and perfectly flaky. All four sides provide an amazing base - like the walls of a fortress that surround the soft, tender interior of the biscuit. You can see the different layers from the outside as well. When it comes to the inside, there was so much to get through but every bite was heavenly. So much credit here goes to the honey butter - which when spread onto the biscuit, raises the taste level of the entire thing. I put so much honey butter on mine that I nearly finished the whole thing. When it came to the jam, it was good, but since it didn't combine great with the honey butter I mostly ended up just using the latter This place was expensive - around 16 dollars for the sandwich and 8 for the biscuit - however, I was quite full at the end
