The wife and I go to Local Table about once a month. It's a really cool little place that we enjoy. The Villagio (where it is located) is a little town center built before the town centers became a thing. It is mixed use shopping, office and various eating establishments with a courtyard and parking garage, all connected. I love the patio, but my wife always wants to sit inside. We take turns to keep the peace. :) The staff have always been nice and accommodating. My wife has even used some of their space for a National Charity League function. I'd call this new American, but they have some Mediterranean dishes that make the place unique. I really enjoy the gyro (beef/lamb) plate that comes with fries, but I've had several dishes, salmon wrap, salads, sweet potato fries, shrimp tacos plus others I can't think of. My wife likes the burger, shrimp tacos and the boy had the pizza. We almost always get spinach artichoke dip appetizer. To sum it up, we've never had a bad meal. Unfortunately I don't recommend this place for birthday dinners or celebrations. The waitstaff definitely needs better training in customer service and making sure the customers feel comfortable. Restrooms were dirty, out of soap and paper towels. read more

Grossly overpriced with food comparable to Dairy Queen. A gyro is supposed to be shaved, rotisserie lamb or beef. Mine was some kind of pre-formed microwaved mystery meat. Our Hawaiian pizza was mostly canned pineapple chunks with cubed chicken and minimal cheese. Also, I've never heard of a restaurant in Houston, Texas, serving tap water with no ice. Sunday brunch is a serious event. If you're looking to Local Table for your next Sunday Hoo-rah, I can sum it up in two points: The mimosas are on point! Don't flake out and order a single ($6) - take a stab on the wild side and order the mimosa flight ($10). It makes sense now right? The juice is freshly squeezed and it's not a secret. You can taste the goodness and it's mmmhmmm good! The flight comes with your typical orange mimosa but where this brunch turns it up a notch is when you treat your tastebuds to the strawberry and raspberry. Strawberry was fantastic. The mimosas were perf! Don't pass the flight up. The food was good-ish. I ordered the Sunrise Sausage wrap - mainly because the description had my mouth watering. It fell flat. My recommendation for the Local Table chef - add some delicious pico de gallo and fresh avocado and this wrap would have been on point with our breakfast bubbly. Definitely one of my first choice when I think about healthy and delicious food, two ways to combine a great morning, servers are super nice. Last time we went with my in law on Mother's day, you can imagine how busy it was, she asked for coffee about 10 times, and each time the girl pour more coffee with a smile on her face, and that to me means all in the service industry, you can be so nice, but without smile the service it is not good enough to me. We went there today. The place was packed. We ordered the Mediterranean vegan bowl, lemon pasta and kids cheese burger. Impressed that they have 4 to 5 vegan options + Atleast 2-3 vegetarian options! Vegan Bowl - 5/5 One of the most satisfying vegan meals I've tried so far. Most restaurants just feed a bunch of leaves for vegan meals. Not this one. It's carefully curated meal with Brussel sprouts, butternut squash, brown rice and black beans all cooked to perfection. Loved it! Lemon Pasta - was also great. We started off with the blueberry lemonade cocktail and it was perfect- sweet and tangy. The spinach and artichoke dip was delicious- it comes with tzatziki sauce which we opted not to eat with it. This was a pickup order, so my short interaction with staff was excellent. I was met by multiple people making sure I'd been helped. Everyone was very friendly. It was really neat because I'd accidentally went in the wrong door through the "Local Bar" which I hope to visit another time. It was a very cool atmosphere, and great outdoor space too. Now for the food: I had the Gyro plate, wife had the kebab, and kids had chicken tenders (go figure). All the meats were perfect. The lamb for the Gyro, the steak on the kebab, and even the chicken tenders were done to perfection. The veggies tasted fresh as well. The fries were only slightly soggy, but this is no fault of the restaurant, but rather the steam from it being a carryout order. We both agreed that they'd probably be perfect as well if we'd dined in. The portions were very friendly, so the costs can be justified (although it's not overly expensive either, we're just kind of cheap). You won't go hungry. So in summary, the atmosphere was really cool (from what I saw), the food was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. I'd recommend this place to just about anyone. My family and I will be returning customers. I wish we'd taken some nice, plated, pictures for the review, but we were hungry, and the smell was too irresistible. Sorry. read more

Local Table Katy is one of my top favorite restaurants! By far, they have the best cauliflower crust for their pizzas. Best I've ever had. Hawaiian is my favorite. Spinach dip is wonderful as is the Anaheim Grilled Chicken entrée. A manager usually comes by the table to make sure all is well, which is a nice touch. But it's always well as we have come to know Antonio, so we always ask for one of his tables. He always seems to appear at just the right time, has great suggestions and handles my special requests because of my food sensitivities really well!! He's the best!! read more

I looove this place. I have never had a bad meal here whether I am eating Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, dining in, or getting takeout. Are they are on the pricier side? Maybe. I don't think soo when I think about the quality of their food and the portion sizes. Their alcoholic drinks are more than elsewhere though. The service is always great. One day I had a bad day and asked for breakfast for lunch on a weekday and the waiter when and checked and tHey honored my request because they weren't as busy. #1 the waiter Ruben M. wasn't good. He seemed irritated that when I ordered my food I asked for it in a Togo container. When the food came I wanted to make sure the dressing didn't have dairy products, he said he would check, 10mins passed and I had to wave him down and he said oh yeah let me check. Then I asked for a bag for myself and friend for our Togo containers and he rolled his eyes like I was bothering him. Like WTH is wrong with you. And they were not busy at all. When I look around the restaurant I'm not the usual race that visits so maybe thats it. Also, what is going on with the vegan bowls like the serving size is 1/4 of what it use to be. I got the nutritious bowl this time and 3wks ago I got the Mediterranean bowl same thing. Yall giving 1/2 cup of rice and beans together, what's going on it's already vegan we need our protein and yall skimping on the food. Mean while my friend got the American burger and her burger was so big and juicy it could feed 3people. Like if you gonna do the vegan options like this just take off the freaking menu. I have introduced lots of friends and family to this place but I'm done with y'all. This is my last time coming here and yall probably don't care since I wasn't even treated decent anyway. This has always been one of my favorite spots. Food is always delicious, the staff has always been very pleasant and I love the vibe. A couple things that would make this 5 stars: (1) This place is so loud! If you go during a typical lunch or dinner rush, just plan on not being able to talk to people at your table unless you're outside. Whenever I choose to not take someone here, it's 100% of the time because of this reason. I used to ALWAYS take out of town guests here but I eventually realized it's worth it to go to a place I like less so that I can have a conversation. I've been to two of the Local Tables / Fulshear and Katy. Both are great with great food that I as a vegan and my non vegan friends can enjoy. Oh Local Table how I love you! If you are ever in the Katy area do yourself a favor and stop at Local Table! You definitely need to make a reservation for Sunday brunch like I did! The ambience of the restaurant is very relaxed and casual. The servers are all so sweet and helpful. They make sure you have everything you need as if you're the only customer in the restaurant. I had ordered the Crab Cake Benedicts, my friends had ordered the Migas, The Traditional, and the Gyro Sandwich. They all had positive feedback over their brunch options. My meal was divine! The crab and eggs complimented each other perfectly and the potatoes were cooked just the way I like it! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was how thick the bread was under the crab cakes and eggs. The bench was very comfortable and my toddler actually stay seated in her booster seat on the bench coloring with crayons they provided and playing with ice. There is no fan, they need in invest in patio fans ! Omg. We were sweating. My friend and I split a mimosa flight, Belgian waffle, crab Benedict and house salad. My toddler had the chicken fettuccine and fresh squeezed oj. Everything was pretty good, the fettuccine was bland though. The waffle wasn't anything special. The Benedict was pretty good with the potatoes. The salad was refreshing with pecans. The mimosa flight was really good. The flight (3 different flavors) is $10.
