As we prepared to leave the Houston area, a friend suggested Local Table for our pre-airport meal. Sounded interesting - and not knowing the area we dove right in. We were quickly seated - all 13 of us - at a common table and a very enthusiastic wait-person handed out menus and took preliminary drink orders. Looking around, this seemed to be a nice, trendy place serving healthy - or the semblance thereof - food. We weren't disappointed. Local sourced is the new buzzword in restaurants and although none of us questioned the origin of their offerings, the food we received was well-prepared, fresh, and tasty. I can't speak to everyone's plates but the eater next to me ordered the Margherita pizza, which he raved about. My meal was the Black Bean Orzo salad - hit the spot in all ways possible. The cilantro-lime-jalapeno dressing was a big hit with me, although there wasn't as much of a jalapeno bite as I would have thought there would be. Prices (lunch menu) seem reasonable. Be prepared for a fairly high noise level. If we're ever back in Katy, this is a place we'll be eating at. read more

Came here for a friends baby shower for dinner. This place kind of has a modern rustic theme to it. We didn't get much since my wife wasn't feeling well so I got the philly cheese steak with sweet potato fries. Keep in mind the sweet potato fries aren't on the menu so you need to ask for them. The sandwich was decent. It have chunks of meat, provolone cheese and some bell peppers and onions. I I probably wouldn't get this again because it just didn't excite me like other places. The fries were good though. We love sweet potato fries so this ended up being a good choice Overall it was a decent experience. Went to local table today and had horrible experience with a waitress named Sophia rude, rolling eyes, and just straight up total lack of customer service. We usually attend all the time, but had never experienced this before. The experience was horrible and too much to go in detail, however I will say that it got rectified by Ricardo. Ricardo was very prompt to help out, even when we just got thrown on him at last minute while he was already serving his area. He was very attentive and super helpful. I truly appreciated his service and attention to detail. We were there with 4 hungry and tired kids and it was chaos, but he was prompt to get us the order and taken care of immediately. The wife and I go to Local Table about once a month. It's a really cool little place that we enjoy. The Villagio (where it is located) is a little town center built before the town centers became a thing. It is mixed use shopping, office and various eating establishments with a courtyard and parking garage, all connected. I love the patio, but my wife always wants to sit inside. We take turns to keep the peace. :) The staff have always been nice and accommodating. My wife has even used some of their space for a National Charity League function. I'd call this new American, but they have some Mediterranean dishes that make the place unique. I really enjoy the gyro (beef/lamb) plate that comes with fries, but I've had several dishes, salmon wrap, salads, sweet potato fries, shrimp tacos plus others I can't think of. My wife likes the burger, shrimp tacos and the boy had the pizza. We almost always get spinach artichoke dip appetizer. To sum it up, we've never had a bad meal. Might want to read the menu item descriptions closely. The smoked salmon avocado toast shows no salmon ingredient. The smashed avocado toast shows no avocado ingredient (and I can confirm it was not made with avocado; so how does avocado get in the description? It's under the vegan menu, not I guess because of avocado itself, which is surely a vegetable, but possibly because the bees who pollinate the avocado plant need to be trucked to the avocados in order to pollinate them and thus are being "exploited"? So call it something else!). And for both the bread is not toasted, but baked. So to be sure to ask for salmon if you really want salmon, and avocado if you really want avocado, and tell them to toast the bread if you really wanted it toasted. Because they are more than willing to do that. The veggie burger is not the best, but the fries tend to make up for it. Other than that, the place is not bad. read more

Definitely one of my first choice when I think about healthy and delicious food, two ways to combine a great morning, servers are super nice. Last time we went with my in law on Mother's day, you can imagine how busy it was, she asked for coffee about 10 times, and each time the girl pour more coffee with a smile on her face, and that to me means all in the service industry, you can be so nice, but without smile the service it is not good enough to me. Sunday brunch is a serious event. If you're looking to Local Table for your next Sunday Hoo-rah, I can sum it up in two points: The mimosas are on point! Don't flake out and order a single ($6) - take a stab on the wild side and order the mimosa flight ($10). It makes sense now right? The juice is freshly squeezed and it's not a secret. You can taste the goodness and it's mmmhmmm good! The flight comes with your typical orange mimosa but where this brunch turns it up a notch is when you treat your tastebuds to the strawberry and raspberry. Strawberry was fantastic. The mimosas were perf! Don't pass the flight up. The food was good-ish. I ordered the Sunrise Sausage wrap - mainly because the description had my mouth watering. It fell flat. My recommendation for the Local Table chef - add some delicious pico de gallo and fresh avocado and this wrap would have been on point with our breakfast bubbly. We went there today. The place was packed. We ordered the Mediterranean vegan bowl, lemon pasta and kids cheese burger. Impressed that they have 4 to 5 vegan options + Atleast 2-3 vegetarian options! Vegan Bowl - 5/5 One of the most satisfying vegan meals I've tried so far. Most restaurants just feed a bunch of leaves for vegan meals. Not this one. It's carefully curated meal with Brussel sprouts, butternut squash, brown rice and black beans all cooked to perfection. Loved it! Lemon Pasta - was also great. Delicious!! I can't wait to return. I've heard great things about this place and finally decided to give it a try. We started off with the blueberry lemonade cocktail and it was perfect- sweet and tangy. The spinach and artichoke dip was delicious- it comes with tzatziki sauce which we opted not to eat with it. This was a pickup order, so my short interaction with staff was excellent. I was met by multiple people making sure I'd been helped. Everyone was very friendly. It was really neat because I'd accidentally went in the wrong door through the "Local Bar" which I hope to visit another time. It was a very cool atmosphere, and great outdoor space too. Now for the food: I had the Gyro plate, wife had the kebab, and kids had chicken tenders (go figure). All the meats were perfect. The lamb for the Gyro, the steak on the kebab, and even the chicken tenders were done to perfection. The veggies tasted fresh as well. The fries were only slightly soggy, but this is no fault of the restaurant, but rather the steam from it being a carryout order. We both agreed that they'd probably be perfect as well if we'd dined in. The portions were very friendly, so the costs can be justified (although it's not overly expensive either, we're just kind of cheap). You won't go hungry. So in summary, the atmosphere was really cool (from what I saw), the food was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. I'd recommend this place to just about anyone. I looove this place. I have never had a bad meal here whether I am eating Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, dining in, or getting takeout. Are they are on the pricier side? Maybe. Local Table Katy is one of my top favorite restaurants! By far, they have the best cauliflower crust for their pizzas. Best I've ever had. Hawaiian is my favorite. Spinach dip is wonderful as is the Anaheim Grilled Chicken entrée. A manager usually comes by the table to make sure all is well, which is a nice touch. But it's always well as we have come to know Antonio, so we always ask for one of his tables. He always seems to appear at just the right time, has great suggestions and handles my special requests because of my food sensitivities really well!! He's the best!! read more

This has always been one of my favorite spots. Food is always delicious, the staff has always been very pleasant and I love the vibe. A couple things that would make this 5 stars: (1) This place is so loud! If you go during a typical lunch or dinner rush, just plan on not being able to talk to people at your table unless you're outside. Whenever I choose to not take someone here, it's 100% of the time because of this reason. I used to ALWAYS take out of town guests here but I eventually realized it's worth it to go to a place I like less so that I can have a conversation. This is really one of the best restaurants in Katy. Like most people, I tend to order the same thing every time I visit a particular restaurant. Local Table is one of the few exceptions to that rule. I've tried a lot of their menu items and they're all fantastic. It's the only place I go to where I have trouble deciding what to order. That said, the meatloaf is really the thing you have to try. The ambience of the restaurant is very relaxed and casual. The servers are all so sweet and helpful. They make sure you have everything you need as if you're the only customer in the restaurant. I had ordered the Crab Cake Benedicts, my friends had ordered the Migas, The Traditional, and the Gyro Sandwich. They all had positive feedback over their brunch options. My meal was divine! The crab and eggs complimented each other perfectly and the potatoes were cooked just the way I like it! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was how thick the bread was under the crab cakes and eggs.
