Mopping an hour before you closed right next to our table. The smell of Pinesol was an excellent touch while trying your food for the first time. Food was ok minus the smell of chemical while eating. Also, suggesting that your clientele pay with cash SIX DIFFERENT PLACES on your menu is super CLASSY. Y'all should change your name to the TAX SHELTER CAFE read more

Love coming here for breakfast, my family loves coming here every Saturday mornings. Fast service!!

I ordered online 2 breakfast meals. Biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs over medium And French toast combo with eggs over medium. I received biscuits that were like dry dough cakes & scrambled eggs! My husband said the biscuits were the worst he's ever had in 73 years! He liked the gravy but couldn't enjoy it on the terrible biscuits. The French toast combo had scrambled eggs also! The bacon was burnt. I asked about utensils and napkins oh yea in the bag. No napkins & only a fork. Broke trying to cut the damn biscuits!! When the guy who got my meal hands it to me no drinks. I tell him he goes looks at screen then seats the people who just walk in the door and leaves me standing there waiting for my drinks! He should have finished helping me the first customer already given my food! No he disappeared and then he went to pour my milk & oj. I will never return to your place and you won't see a good review from me. The guy needs to be retrained with proper customer service procedures. Spent $50. On a breakfast that wasn't right & couldn't even finish! read more

Highly recommended! Great portions! Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection! Crepe Combo Breakfast and Waffles are awesome

This place has a great staff. So many friendly team members and you can tell they get along very well. This kitchen cranks out a ton of food for breakfast. At night this place is very quiet, but in the morning it's hopping and popping. I was going to come here for the biscuits and gravy but when I saw all the pancakes I decided to get a short stack. The pancakes are a decent price at $3.29 for a short stack. The recipe they use makes pancakes a little dry. I did get that buttermilk zing when I was eating these. Maybe next time I will give the biscuits shot. They have their own parking lot but it fills up fast. read more

Foods okay similar to norms in my opinion but more overpriced , thought the portions were small

Food is always bomb, concha's are always warm and Service is great and I love the shakes.

Amazingly delicious'! There was a 45 minute wait so I ordered takeout! There was a tent outside for outdoor eating and tables were distanced. I had a truck so we pulled into the lot and ate in the back. Foot was served hot and was ready in 30 minutes. read more

For my first experience I will say I was a bit underwhelmed at the beginning. Upon entering into the loaded cafe I was greeted by a hostess and two other employees who we're working the register. We received our seats fairly quickly and we were able to order our food within 5 minutes of sitting down. Once the food arrived I will say the portion sizes are comparable to an old Mom and pop restaurant which was refreshing . However once our food arrived our server didn't circle back and check in on us to see anything extra was needed or if we even enjoyed our meal. The next time I saw the server was when she handed me the check for payment. (I believe she had too many tables) I will say the bright light in this entire experience and review was Veronica. I am not to sure if she was a server or the manager on duty she had on a black shirt which made her stand out from the rest . Veronica made sure we had: drinks, our table was cleared of all dirty dishes and she even told us to enjoy our day upon our exit. Veronica saved my experience with the loaded cafe.. read more

Probably one of my favorite breakfast spots in Long Beach, the pancakes I ordered were a bit sad as the chocolate chips were off the pancakes, but nonetheless they were great! I appreciate their hard work during these trying times ! Food was made promptly and wait time for pick up was minimal. read more

Loved it! Service and food was well worth the 20 minute wait. We had a Party of 5. Jose was our server and he was awesome! The food was totally de-lish and I will go back again and again. Very clean restaurant. Fully staffed, friendly staff and they followed Covid-19 guidelines...the non-confusing ones. They offered indoor and outdoor dining. We sat inside. Parking lot was spacious. Earlier is better, the line built up as we were leaving. We are trying out different breakfast spots in Long Beach and L.A. each weekend. Let me know of other spots you all like. read more

Food was amazing!! I will definitely be back. Must try!! I got the Loaded Steak, egg, hash browns, and pancakes. Yummy!!!

Take out was outside, Tia was a pleasure. Staff wore masks and exercised patience considering the circumstances. I ordered lemon crepes combo. The crepes were delicious. My daughter ordered a, waffle. Although the food was pretty good, I asked for country potatoes well done. Those were not and I didn't care to wait longer for meal. We also ordered coffee, which honestly didn't taste fresh nor was it good. We ended up trashing the drinks. Overall food was good and I will return when I'm in the area. read more

This is the 3rd time we've been to this diner and we've always had a great experience. The staff are always nice and continue to check on us repeatedly. Today, we were helped by Diana. She was very helpful from the beginning and kept checking on us to make sure we have what we need. Food: since the first time I ordered it, I keep coming back for the Swedish crepe. It is butter-bomb amazing. We also ordered the country fried steak. In my experience, this dish is a hit and miss. This is my first time ordering it here and I was impressed. The steak was decently thick and very crispy. The hash browns we're crispy and thinly shredded just how I like it. Pardon the pictures as we got too excited before we took it. SO ordered the chilaquiles and like it as well. Not the same as a true Mexican version but better than ones he's tried in the past. Overall experience was great and we will continue to come back. read more

food was amazing and the service was fantastic, definitely my new favorite restaurant

the food is great. the ambiance is cozy, fast and friendly service. definitely coming back :-)

Meh. If you want a breakfast alternative to IHOP, this could work. But, for breakfast, it's nothing special. Bland average food. There are so many other places you can go for better food. I'm changing from 2 stars (food) to 3 stars just for the service. I won't be back. read more

I was wanting a crepe. This place did not disappoint. I had the Nutella crepe. Perfection. My husband had the nachos and appreciated the choice of chips-corn or flour. The place seems to be more of a breakfast place. The chicken and waffles looked great. Fair warning. If you make the crepe a full breakfast be sure you are super hungry. read more

We came on a Saturday just before noon. We were seated immediately. My impression of the menu was that they have unique and original takes on dishes. I ordered the Surprise! Surprise! and it was delicious. Fried eggs on tomato on spinach and onion on sourdough toast. The kids each ordered crepes which they loved. My son had the Nutella and banana; my daughter had the honey lemon and added strawberries. Service was fantastic. Highly recommend. read more

Service was fast and good despite it being super busy on a Sunday morning. We all loved our food! The menudo was very flavorful! They literally cater to all families and tastes...From an all American meal to traditional mexican ones. My husband raved about his torta, the meat was well seasoned! Luz was super friendly! And all servers were so good at making sure your cup of Joe was never half empty! All the staff was friendly and happy, despite it being super busy. That's hard to find now a days! On our way out there was a line of people waiting their parties name to be called, and the staff offered coffee/water while they waited! Very friendly, and delicious food! Will definitely make it a frequent spot from now on! read more

They building is an old IHOP from the 70's. Nice wide selection of breakfast options and the food was excellent and the service was attentive & friendly. On the other hand, the coffee was very ordinary and a bit weak. The interior while clean is a bit dated and is worn in spots (don't look at the ceiling). Overall good for breakfast for close family and friends but not a place for a 1st date or where you are trying to impress a client read more

$6 weekday specials with breakfast and lunch items. The staff was friendly, the food was good, and it's right in the middle of Long Beach.
