Loaded Cafe looks a bit run down on the inside and outside, but it is so delicious!! They have an extensive menu from breakfast through dinner which features both traditional and unique items. A lot of the menu is heavily Latin-influenced and they have a couple dedicated sections for it as well. The breakfast stackers are fun and they make their crepes well. Not only are they tasty but you can get one free with Yelp check-in which is a great deal. Portions are gigantic so even though we went on a hike after this, I didn't need to eat again until dinner. The Crunchy Asada Chilaquiles Stacker was phenomenal. Chips that stay crunchy through the whole meal are stacked high with scrambled eggs, tender and perfectly seasoned grilled carne asada, homemade chilaquile sauce, plenty of shredded mozarella cheese, chives and grilled onion. All of this is served with a side of hash browns so it's really carb-o-licious and fully delicious. I was already full at the halfway point but couldn't stop eating until I finished. My bf had the Chicken Spinach Alfredo Stacker which was unique for a breakfast item and fun way to bring a popular dinner dish to the morning. We enjoyed it. For our free crepe we went with the Dulce De Leche because it's topped with both fresh strawberries and banana slices. The crepe was soft and it was a nice way to top off our meal with something sweet. I can't possibly go over the menu because there's so much variety, but that means that everyone should find something they like here. I definitely have to come back to try more items. read more

Ugh. Torn about this review. It's more of a 3 1/2 stars. This place had potential, especially because both my husband and I were super hungry. Came early morning so we beat the crowd and service was prompt. Plenty of options if you have a savory or a sweet craving. I opted for the ham and cheese melt on sourdough with hashbrowns on the side and a cup of coffee to wash it all down. Being a melt, I knew it would be heavy and somewhat greasy. And it was but the after flavor was not good. The melt gets a 3/5. And the measly portion of hashbrown was not worth the $14 and change for it. Meh My husband got the asada chilaquiles. Another tricky option. The chilaquiles are not authentic, home style ones you get at home. This were tortilla chips from a bag with sauce ( that tasted canned, not freshly made) asada- that was good, and hash browns on the side. Now, this plate was generously served. The saving grace of this dish were the freshly diced tomatoes we requested on top. But the bathroom was clean and the coffee kept on being refilled without asking. So there's that. Came here on a Sunday right after they opened and were greeted and seated immediately. Tried their regular coffee and near little iced coffee flight. Their waffle with the icing is some of the best waffles I've ever tasted, and my girlfriend's meal came with pancakes, which we were too full for, but those heated up great later. Will definitely be back. Their staff is super friendly, and their cooks are on point. The service is good and they bring you complimentary fresh conchas when you get seated. That being said don't order the chilaquiles omelette. They put the sauce on the plate and on top of the omelette but the omelette itself is just dry chips wrapped in thin egg. For a few bucks more just get the chilaquiles plate. You get more food and actual chilaquiles. read more

The first time I came here it was a good experience. But after my 2nd, 3rd and even 4th visit I have to say the food is good but the service is terrible. Besides some sweet waitresses. There have been times when multiple food items on the menus are not available. Or the staff completely ignores me and my table. The last time I went my group asked for waters and they brought us water is plastic cups with a lid. I didn't mind at all until someone in our group noticed everyone around us had water in glass cups. I even had a situation when we ordered food and before our food came out they said the "card machine was down" and they would only take cash. We were not sure what to do until the table next to us told us they just paid with card and what the guy told us was not true. We confronted the guy and he said he would try again. He came back and said the card worked. All this happened before we even got our food out. Overall I will not be going back. read more

DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!!! Amazing!!! The fact that you get mini concha's right out of the oven is just one of the many reasons this place amazing. The food is so flavorful and fresh. Ordered the crunchy carne asada chilliquilles and was just blown away by the house made red sauce. Friends ordered the regular carne asada chilliquilles. I think the only difference is mine was served with hash brown, I preferred mine. Had to try the menudo, now that will wake you you the spice was definitely present. You would think we would stop there but no... the screen above us showed the waffles, and well we just had to try that as well, it was perfect with a nice crisp on the outside. Our waiter Juan was on it as well, when I first got my plate the hash browns were luke warm ( I like it piping hot) he quickly got my plate, went to the kitchen, and got me some hot ones in like 2 min (thank you Juan). This place gets crowded so show up early you will not regret it. Have I mentioned the. Shirley and Jose were the kindest people and definitely deserve recognition! This place is a hidden gem within Long Beach! Parking may be difficult but it is definitely worth it. Besides the minor inconvenience of parking, they follow COVID regulations and have their guests wait under a tent conveniently located outside. In terms of food, I am a personal fan of their mozzarella sticks and crepes! If you have a larger appetite, you may need to order more than the crepes. Other than the crepes, their proportions are large and you can definitely share most of them! read more

I ordered a breakfast plate this morning using Uber Eats and this is how my pancakes arrived. Never have I ever seen pancakes that look like this. I called the restaurant and spoke with the "manager" and she told me "they've never had complaints like this before" while telling me to contact UberEats. My issue is, this isn't an UberEats issue, this is a COOKING issue. The restaurant needed to hear about my experience first hand not through a 3rd party that isn't at fault for creating something so disturbing. The manager I spoke to was rather dismissive of my actual complaint as she kept reiterating this doesn't normally happen as to suggest my complaint wasn't valid. I have ordered food from here multiple times, but this time has me not wanting to return again in the future. From the food received to the "manager's" lack of good customer service, I'm left with a totally different impression of this place. read more

The Loaded Cafe is a great choice for dinner quick and delicious breakfast! Especially if you're staying at the Motel 6 right by it easy walk over. The value menu has some great mini meals if you're not crazy hungry. I had the mini waffle meal which has 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon and a waffle. Everything was delicious and cooked to the doneness I requested. My son had the mini french toast same deal but with 2 pieces of french toast topped with powdered sugar. Excellent as well! read more
