Some friends came in from Sonoma and wanted to grab dinner. We went to several places but they were all busy so we popped in to the Oxbow. We decided on LiveFire after a trip around the building. We ordered the burrata, calamari, and the bee sting pizza. OMG, yum! The bee sting had pepperoni, jalapeños, hot honey. Staff we super friendly, plenty of room to sit and chat. Highly recommend

I came here to try Lappert's ice cream, so I can't attest for the pizza offered here. The Lappert's ice cream located as part of Live Fire Pizza offers an array of Hawaiian inspired ice cream flavors! My partner tried the blueberry lemon cookie, and I tried the guava sorbet. Both were really yummy and unique flavors! The guava had a mixture of sweet and tart flavors and the combo of the flavors in the blueberry lemon cookie complemented each other well! It was a nice sweet treat. Nothing major, but I was a little bummed to see how they FILLED the blueberry lemon cookie cup compared to the guava sorbet. I understand the worker was having a hard time since the guava sorbet was hard. Definitely just wish I got as much guava sorbet because it was yummy!

As usual, the best pizza in town Maria is fantastic always taking care of us. If you're in Napa, you have to stop by here at Oxbow.

The pizza is quite smokin' at Live Fire Pizza! Located in the heart of the bustling Oxbow Public Market in downtown Napa, Live Fire Pizza is just one of many food stalls that make up this eclectic food hall, which has a wide variety of options for diners to enjoy. With Live Fire Pizza being their only option that truly focuses on fast-casual Italian they have settled into their niche as the place to go for quality wood-fired pizzas and other antipasti and Italian-inspired small plates. Credit for the success of Live Fire Pizza must go to the trio that are currently helming things, Susan Rizer, Liza Shaw, and Ervan Lim. With their experience from restaurants as varied as Peasant and the Pear, A16, Redd Wood, M.Y. China and Lark Creek, they certainly have a lot of experience under their belts with successful chains that bring locals and out-of-towners alike together in search of a good meal. And why shouldn't diner's interest be piqued by the massive circular tiled pizza oven that graces their presence as they walk the usually crowded corridors that make up Oxbow Public Market, as I know that my interest was upon one recent visit to Oxbow Public Market on a weekday afternoon. With parking in their lot being the only significant challenge, I was walking around Oxbow Public Market and on this visit there was something about the pizza at Live Fire Pizza that was calling my name. Even though they were not busy, or perhaps because of this fact and the fact that their posted menu looked reasonably priced I was sold. I ordered with Liza herself at their counter and then sit down to dine on my meal. With an overwhelming amount of pizzas on their menu being no more than 21 dollars, I decided to order their Pepperoni & Peppers which was topped with tomatoes, pepperoni, roasted peppers, mozzarella, grana, red onion, garlic, oregano, chiles and olive oil. With all those ingredients it seemed well worth the price of 21 dollars. And ordering a San Pellegrino Aranciata Rossa Blood Orange Soda, I knew it would be a combination worth waiting for. Turns out it wouldn't take too long for me to wait for my freshly baked pizza pie as it was presented to me bubbling and piping hot as I sat at their countertop bar area. The pizza was so warm thanks to the extra black bubbles that wood-fired pizzas are so known for, and this particular pizza had a number of those delicious bubbles. This pizza also had a number of pepperoni slices and fresh peppers, which would make for a nice balance of flavors and with the extra parmesan cheese, chili flakes, oregano, and especially the hot chili oil ready to add extra depth of flavor to each slice, easily made me finish at least three slices on this visit. Luckily they were nice enough to offer a takeout box so I would take the rest home and enjoy it for a later meal. With a meal that would cost less than thiry dollars for a drink and basically a medium-size pizza this was a rare reasonably priced meal that I could enjoy over the course of many meals. With a pizza as nicely prepared and cooked like this one was, I could only imagine what their Margherita and Bianca pizzas would taste like as they too are reasonably priced. With their Antipasti menu featuring dishes such as Fried Calamari and Meatballs a family can enjoy a nice meal at a very decent price point. With sixteen flavors of Lappert's Ice Cream being served by the scoop outside on their patio as you exit the Public Market, you can enjoy a complete meal without having to visit any other vendor, and while dining in downtown Napa that says something. The pizzas at Live Fire Pizza speak for themselves and they are ready to take on the rest of wine country who believe a well-prepared meal is simply out of reach because here is simply is not true!

    The most basic pepperoni pizza

My husband, son, and I went to this pizza location in Oxboro Market to pick up our pizza to dine in. We came from Hog Island. Got our order and the pizza was the saltiest pizza we've ever tasted and on top of that, it was burnt. My husband went back to express how he felt about the pizza and the hosts told him off how it wasn't salty. My husband kept going back and forth with the host and instead of offering to make another pizza or offer a refund she continued with an attitude. By far one of the rudest hosts at Oxboro. It took us 30+min to be offered a refund which dindnr even go through our account which was ridiculous, even with the owners on the phone because no one knew how to refund a simple pizza. This place thinks they are more than what are. Please save your money and do not eat here.

Delicious pizzas and salads are served here. After walking around to see what we can eat here at the food court we stopped at this pizza spot. Friendly and welcoming staff took good care of us. I ordered the four cheese pizza and loved it. The pepperoni one was also super good and the salad tasted amazing. We had a lovely time talking and enjoying our food. Great ambiance here.

We arrived late on a weekend night and it was still busy. They told us when we ordered that it would be a bit of a wait, and we appreciated the advance notice so we didn't mind. The pizza was definitely worth the wait. We got the four meat which had a little spice to it. It came out piping hot and was perfect after a day of wine tastings.

I stopped in for a quick bite and thoroughly enjoyed the pizza! Napa valley has some great pizza places which are very underrated. I'd say this is one of them, despite the premium price. It's located in oxbow so service and ambiance is what you'd expect. I'd have this again!

I loved the grilled lamb shoulder which was tender with a good char and served over the couscous mix with raisins, chickpeas, and almonds it was a great bite! The menu allows for an order of protein or main veggie (lamb, chicken, cauliflower, etc.) and a supplement of carb or veggie (pita, couscous, or salad). After ordering the shawarma chicken pita wrap ($18), I initially got the order within 15 minutes. However, the person behind the counter came to tell us they gave us someone else's order, so we had to wait another 10 minutes. After receiving the wrap, I discovered was smaller than expected. It was a tasty and savory wrap with a small kick of spiciness, but portions were too small. Taste was 4 stars and value was 3 stars. I was still hungry. Desperate for more food, I sampled the harissa chocolate chip cookie. At $5, it was a great value and size. Nice melty flakes of chocolate with tiny punch of spice, and a salty finish. I would try Moro again, but with couscous or salad as a supplement, and with lower expectations of value.

Some mishaps have happened with service on prior visits but management and servers are always concerned and make it right. That's why I keep coming back. I Popped in Thursday afternoon for Pho. It was not busy only two other couples eating when we arrived. We sat at our usual table And noted service was a bit slow right off the bat. When I received my Pho, which I thought was a longer wait than usual, it was luke warm if that. The Korean ribs and chicken wings arrived temperature appropriate. I pushed my soup aside but no one checked back until my lunch mate finished. When the waiter came to clear the table I asked for a to go and thought he would ask if there was anything wrong. He did not so I told him the Pho was served luke warm so I did not eat it and that no one had checked back or even passed by us or I would have sent it back to heat it up. We were done now so I'd just take it to go. Our waiter apologized and when he brought the bill said The Pho was comped and apologized again for the breakdown in service. When I dine I like to relax and enjoy a meal With who I came with. So receiving temperature appropriate food is important. The KD does a good job. They have a diverse menu with flavorful food and great cocktails. When there is a hiccup in service or the food there is a genuine concern. Sometimes it's caught by them and others it's brought to their attention. It's how things are dealt with when those mishaps happen. The KD addresses your concerns with sincerity and want their diner to have an all around great experience. If you have not been give KD a try when in downtown Napa.

Cornbread and sauces missed the mark for me, but the meat more than made up for it. Definitely going back! The full story: Finally! A BBQ joint that knows how to season meat! Stateline Road Smokehouse in Napa is the spot. We rolled in on Mother's Day and got hit with a line almost out the door -- always a good sign! Turned out the wait wasn't bad though, because they've got a slick assembly line going. I watched the girl slicing my brisket right next to the order-taker, then just followed my tray as it moved down the line. The space is gorgeous -- big, bright, and airy, with clear garage doors and windows across the front and a domed ceiling overhead. We ordered the brisket, burnt ends, BBQ chicken, mac n cheese, and hot water cornbread. Plates come with their house-made pickles, onions, and peppers. They even have stuff for non-carnivores -- the Cherry Wood-smoked Maitake & Greens (maitake mushrooms, lettuce, heirloom rice, marinated garbanzo beans, lemon vinaigrette) and the 18th & Vine Grain Bowl (barley, quinoa, sweet potato, arugula, parsnip, saffron egg, pickled onion, burnt orange vinaigrette) both looked fantastic. Maybe I'll grab one next time -- right next to a pile of brisket! On the drink side they've got wines by the glass, boozy slushies, draft beer, and batch cocktails. We stuck with water this round. Prices were a notch above what I'm used to in Sacramento, but for Napa they felt totally fair -- especially since this is probably the best BBQ around. The brisket was a steal at $19 for a half pound. The chicken at the same price for a half bird felt a bit steep, but I could be off on what's normal up there. The brisket was seasoned beautifully from the very first bite -- smoked to perfection, fall-apart tender. No knife needed. The burnt ends were my favorite of the whole spread. They had a splash of sauce on them but it wasn't needed -- those rubs hold their own. The BBQ chicken had a totally different vibe -- hard to describe, but it gave off Asian-influenced flavors. Solid on its own, but pairing it with the brisket and burnt ends was a misfire. The flavors just didn't play nice together. The mac n cheese was great. It wasn't baked, but it also wasn't mushy or overcooked like most places -- the noodles still had bite and the cheese was flavorful. Sadly, the cornbread was the weak link. A little dry, kinda bland, and not as thick as I like. About the size of a thin 6" pancake -- not really worth the price. The other miss for me was the BBQ sauces. Just not my thing flavor-wise. To be fair though, the owner built his whole business on those sauces and apparently ships them out by the pallet, so plenty of people clearly love them! It was awesome seeing Darryl Bell, the owner, back in the kitchen working his magic -- and get this, he's reportedly the first Black restaurateur in Napa since the 1800s! That made the warm welcome hit even harder. Even with the rush going on, he popped out to snap a picture with us and thank us for coming in. His business partner Jeremy was also working the floor, checking in on every table, and he stuck around to talk us up about Darryl's BBQ skills and how their partnership came together. Then during a lull, Darryl came back out and gave us the whole tour -- the cultural and historical design choices throughout the space (the building used to be a Quonset hut, which explains that cool domed ceiling) plus the murals on the back patio. Dinner AND a show! Wishing these guys all the best. Can't wait to get back and work through more of the menu.

On a positive note, the servers were incredibly friendly and warm.
