However, I felt like my nail artist was in a rush because I was cut a few times. While using the clippers, he cut too close, cutting into underneath my finger nail on multiple fingers. Only one time drew blood thankfully. I had to ask to get up and go clean the bleeding wound, as my nail artist proceeded with the manicure after the cut without concern for sanitization or potential infection. However, he was clearly very apologetic and kept checking in to make sure I was okay, which I appreciated. But later, the nail drill nicked the skin next to my cuticle, which hurt. I feel like I wouldn't have been cut if we just slowed down a little bit.

I also noticed that I was never given one of the armrest pads that other customers had. When my appointment was finished, several of my nails had been filed unevenly. Just four days later, one of my nails chipped, and about three days after that, the polish on a different nail completely peeled off. Overall, I was very unhappy with both the service and the quality of the manicure. I won't be returning and would not recommend this salon to others.

Unfortunately, my recent experiences at Beverly Nail Salon have left me feeling singled out and treated differently in a way that is deeply troubling. Over multiple visits, I noticed a consistent difference in how I was treated compared to other customers. Basic courtesies that were routinely extended to others--such as a greeting upon entering, the ability to make an appointment, and the offer of a complimentary beverage--were not extended to me. I observed these same courtesies being offered to other customers during the same visits. I am respectful, pleasant, low-maintenance, and I tip very well. I do not cause disruption, nor have I ever been anything but appreciative of the service providers themselves. When I respectfully raised my concern and expressed that I simply wanted to be treated the same as other customers, the situation unfortunately escalated rather than improved. I was later declined the ability to make an appointment altogether, something I had always been allowed to do prior to speaking up. It pains me to even consider the reason for this difference in treatment, but based on my observations, the only noticeable distinction between myself and those who were consistently treated with kindness and respect was race. This is not an accusation I make lightly, and I have never felt the need to raise race as a factor in service before. However, after repeated experiences and respectful attempts to address the issue directly, I can no longer ignore the pattern. I shared with management that I would be speaking publicly about my experience, not out of spite, but in hopes that it would encourage reflection and improvement. I truly hope the owner and management take this feedback seriously and work toward ensuring all customers are treated equitably and professionally. I will be taking my business--and my tipping--elsewhere. No customer should feel uncomfortable or unwelcome for simply asking to be treated the same as others.

I had a nail appointment as part of my best friend's bridal party last week (11/24/18) and it was the mani-pedi from Hell. An absolute nightmare! I'd been here before with my boyfriend's daughter to get nails done for Easter and they did a great job then, so I was excited to go back, but never again. I don't know if my tech was just new, but when she was filing my nails I asked that they be rounded (I don't like square nails) and she did an awful job. They still had some point to them close to the cuticle, which will hurt as they dig into the cuticle when they grow out, so I asked her to fix them and she did. Then as she's clipping the dead skin off my cuticles she cut my cuticle... I yelped in pain and it WOULD NOT STOP BLEEDING. She kept putting this stuff on that stung really bad and blowing on it, and at one point I had a total of three techs crowded around me trying to figure out how to get it to stop bleeding. Getting your nails done is supposed to be relaxing, and I was no longer relaxed, and 100% in pain and on edge. The bride and other bridesmaids kept making eye contact with me from their seats to see if I was okay, and I just wanted to cry because I was so angry and uncomfortable. Then to make it even worse, she didn't even put on the top coat correctly for more than 50% of my fingers. It was so sloppy and uneven and you could see where one coat started and ended. It didn't even go all the way to the tip of the nail on any of them. All of our nail polish began smearing and chipping while we were getting ready for the wedding more than an hour after we left he salon. That is unacceptable. We all sat and waited 30 minutes for our nails to dry before even leaving the salon. This was absolutely the worst mani-pedi I've had in my life, and I'm so upset that this place was so great the first time I went, and so horrible the second. read more

I was disappointed with the service I received. The exfoliation of my feet was inadequate, leaving dead skin remaining. Additionally, the water temperature was excessively hot. While the nail painting was satisfactory, the overall experience did not justify the high price. I would recommend considering a different salon. read more

Great follow-up, just bad timing on our part due to traffic. After a bit of scrutiny, the gift certificates were approved, and we were assigned our pedicurists. Mine was Louie, hers was Lena. Both were very polite and welcoming. I had never had a pedicure before, so I was a bit unsure what to expect. And of course I wore long jeans and not shorts, which increased the degree of difficulty in maneuvering and limited some of the experience. Louie was very professional and gentle. I'm quite a bit ticklish, and we both got a big laugh out of that. I got the hot stone pedicure for $7 more than the classic pedi, and my girlfriend got the Milk and Honey for $13 more. There was quite a bit of upsell involved, not by the pedicurist, but by the manager. In fact, at one point, she dropped the Milk and Honey in my pedicurist's cart, only for me to correct the mistake. She didn't seem too thrilled that we weren't buying more services, which was really the only downer. Between that and the hesitation over the gift certificates, that cost a star. When all was said and done, we got two pedicures. I had to rush to another appointment, so I left my girlfriend there to be picked up on my return. She liked her pedicure and polish, and I liked mine without. My girlfriend bought and tipped on the non-discounted price of the services. I'm not one to be fussed over, but I think they do a good job here. I did check all the sanitary precautions, and they passed on every count. They were meticulous about cleaning their instruments. I did have some temporary cuticle soreness on one toe, but it was gone by the next day without infection. Recommended. Not sure when/if I'll go again, but I'd go here without hesitation.
