I saw Cat for a gel mani last week because I didn't plan properly for an event I had and my regular nail tech wasnt able to get me in. Luckily, Cat had one opening and I was able to get in. She is so sweet and professional. She did a wonderful job on my nails and really took her time. It's hard to find nail techs to really take their time and not rush through prepping the nails. I have troublesome peeling nails and when they're not prepped well, they instantly chip even with gel. She keeps her space very clean and has a nice selection of gel polishes. I've been going to Cat now exclusively for 2 years. She is SO good at her job. You can tell she takes pride in her work, she is extremely detailed and has never so much as nicked my cuticle. Her pedicures are so nice and relaxing, she isn't rough like other salons I've been to and her sanitation standards are of the highest level. Ever been to a salon where the nail technician rubs the buffer 4 times on each nail without even looking at what they are doing? Cat would never do that. I've never walked out of her salon unhappy and she has gladly fulfilled any nail art request I've had. She takes great precautions for COVID, I felt totally safe in her salon. Me and my girlfriend decided to check out a new spot for a pedicure, you get a 15% discount with your yelp check in so we were happy. The room is in a large building called the Oaks at University in the strip mall areas opposite ikea. There is lots of east parking, places to eat and shop all around even HEB so you can go shopping for groceries after. The place is appointment only, but you get seen immediately. The two ladies we had were super friendly and attentive. They had a nice color choice to pick from, good quality products. They also have you two different choices on scrub flavors, lavender or mango. We opted for a traditional pedicure which cost $35 and comes with a nice little massage, and lasts Total about 45-50 min. Each professional can rent a space to do their work, while customers are provided restrooms and waiting areas. Parking lot is huge, as it's in the same complex as DSW (next door) and IKEA. With Breathe Nail Spa your experience begins with the Om on the door! Clean and tranquil space. Nice selection of products. I did a basic pedicure and a gel manicure. I liked the chair set up and it was comfy! Nice music and conversation throughout. Great pedicure with a little massage at the end that was nice.
