She is consistent with her work and has professional sanitary practices to ensure the hygiene of her tools are up to code. I get an overlay gel and love trying different looks. She has more colors and stencils, stickers, and tricks up her sleeve than you can imagine, so there will be no shortage on nail designs. In response to Wendy: Maybe you could have offered more communication and asked questions then. I simply inquired about available appointments. I never expected to get in in one day and never said that. You could have asked me when I was looking to come in and you could have explained that you are out of town. Not sure how you run a business this way. And yes, I can rate you simply based on the customer service you provided in your short message to me. Not sure why you care about your rating if you aren't accepting new clients! You seem to be ok with the ones you already have and aren't interested in new business! Thank you fellow yelpers! I made an appointment for a mini pedi - because that's what was available in the time I had (wow) but I have patience for a full pedi. Wendy is a great communicator via text letting me know what to expect prior to my appointment and making sure I got directions to her shop because you know Siri, Google and Waze would have sent me Cedar Park (just kidding). I am overdue for a pedi but the mini pedi will do for now. Wendy gave me tips and shared info with me on what I need to do with taking care of my much needed callus heels (I am so dry). In the meantime I have two mini pedi's scheduled prior to an upcoming trip and when I return I have a full pedicure appointment (yay)! She is awesome and I would recommend her to anyone that wants to get away from strip mall nail salon and want that one on one private salon experience. I treated myself to a shellac manicure with Wendy and WOW!! She went above and beyond any gel manicure I've ever had. She is extremely knowledgable about manicures and the shellac product and process (and she uses shellac, not any other kind of gel). Wendy is great! Love that she has so many options for nail design. Salon is clean and she is very careful and takes her time. I used to have to go to one of those "other" salons every two weeks but because she uses such high quality products, I now only get a mani/pedi once a month. I only wish she was open on Saturdays but it's worth it if you can arrange your schedule during the week. Great work deserves a Break!! I am a nurse, and am picky about hygiene & infection control. Wendy runs her salon to medical standards so you don't have to worry about cross-contamination of bacteria, fungus and other nasty things that are predominant in run-of-the mill nail salons. Wendy uses top-notch sterilization technique for her instruments and bits. Other products are 1-time use only and she gives you what she uses on you, rather than throw them away ( files, buffers, etc). Her knowledge of nail health, products and nail art surpass any I have ever seen. I rarely get manicures because of my job - I am hard on my hands. Wendy took care of my cuticles - they've never looked so perfect! I have had my nails done in several different salons in the Austin area, and I started developing this terrible reaction, I thought I was allergic to the gel polishes, and it was upsetting. Because of that, and the pain that would come along even in some reputable salons I just stopped getting my nails done.
