Came here for pedicures after people on social media suggested Prime. Overall it was a nice place. I was not disappointed like I was at Bliss Nail Bar and Signature Nails. Prime nail bar is very spacious, looks to be very clean, and we did not wait more than 5 minutes as walk in. The man who did my pedicure didn't handle ingrown nails the best, but he was pleasant and polite. I could tell he and the woman who did my boyfriend's pedicure were talking about us from time to time in their language. (Very common but it was NOT subtle). The owner was up front at the counter greeting customers, she seems to be very involved and she is so polite. I definitely wouldn't mind giving Prime another chance. I've been here a few times since moving to Austin and service is usually decent. I've been generally satisfied with my nails. My only issue is the prices charged haven't been consistent. During my last visit I was charged an additional 5 for dip removal and when I asked about it I was told they ALWAYS charge for removal. (My last services were here) That simply was not true and I have receipts that prove this. They're the closest salon to my house so I haven't explored other facilities yet. I've been coming to Prime Nail Bar with my daughter for over two years, and it's always been something we genuinely enjoyed--regular manicures and pedicures with no major issues aside from the occasional small cut around the cuticle. Unfortunately, one of those minor nicks turned into something much more serious. When the skin around the cuticle is broken, it can let bacteria in, and that's exactly what happened to me. I've been dealing with a painful toe infection for several months now, requiring ongoing treatment and antibiotics. It's been both physically uncomfortable and unexpectedly expensive. I got my nails done here a week ago and had to ask the nail tech to cover a pink spot of old polish after she had already put builder gel on the nail. Then she covered it with one coat and was going to put colored polish on until I told her it needed to match the rest. At the end, I could still see my fingernail on this one nail and it didn't match the rest. I'd already been there for 90 minutes by this point so I just let her finish. I could also tell she was talking about me and laughing with her coworkers in a different language, and when I asked what she'd said, she said she was asking her coworker for advice. I really hate being this person BUT I must. I came in a few weeks back and got a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. The pedicure was ruined as soon as I hit the door (yes, that is on me because I didn't go right back in to fix it but I was on a time crunch). The gel manicure was the least satisfied I've been with a gel manicure throughout the years I've had them. There were streaks and bubbles in the polish of my manicure that were not evident until I looked at my nails in the sun outside. I called ahead about an hour before to book my appointment and arrived ten minutes early. I was not offered drinks or snacks that other reviews have mentioned. Today was my first time visiting this establishment for a pedicure. The basic pedicure is $36..., I just hoped for excellent service. No explanation needed, let me just share pictures instead..... Nail polish everywhere and they aren't evenly shaped. Yes, I spoke with the manager and she had someone else redo my polish, but the fact that they had to be redone in the first place is unacceptable. Once I quietly voiced my concerns, the other techs came by to see what happened... very unpr and did not make me feel comfortable as a customer. While the manager told me they'd make sure that I left satisfied... there was no accountability.I am disappointed it had to come to this and sadly will not be returning. I was supposed to also get a SNS/mani, but after the pedi I was too scared to go through with it. Time is money and today I lost both. read more

Absolutely amazing service every single time!! I forgot the name of my nail tech but there are very few male nail techs there(I'll update this review when I get his name). Anyways I decided to try this place out since it's so close to home. It looks small from the outside but it's huge inside!! They offer you snacks and drinks(for free) when you're getting your nails done which is amazing because my nail days are usually my self care days. No more gatekeeping! This place has been my GO TO spot for nearly 2+ years. The prices are higher than your average spot, even for simple services, but the quality is perfect. I recommend making an appointment if you can though! They'll take any walk in, however appointments are a very different experience. I love the entire staff, because they are so sweet, so professional and you feel like you're apart of a real salon experience. My nails always feel great, but when I leave, i feel sexy, feminine, and there's just an overall glow to me afterwards. I decided to get myself pampered before my birthday on a wimp. I looked up Prime Nail Bar's services, and that was exactly what I needed. The scheduling service in their website doesn't work, but I called them, and they can accommodate me. No prior appointments are required. They accommodate walk-ins, no issues. They place itself is at a convenient location with parking available. I did a manicure, pedicure, and facial waxing here. The service was relaxing and efficiently done. The place itself is huge and relaxing. And the massage chairs are so relaxing. They also serve drinks if you request it. I got myself a coffee and I see the hostess entertain a kid with some soft drinks, which was pretty considerate. Cost wise, it's in the mid range. While I would love to say this place does great nails, I wouldn't know! I thought I'd take my daughters to get their nails done at a real salon and chose this place based on reviews. They spent all night looking for nail colors, designs and styles; however, that did not happen. What actually happened was I waited for 10 minutes at the counter for someone to acknowledge us or even say 1 word to us about waiting or anything, for that matter. Talk about feeling awkward, a grown man, standing at the counter in a nail salon with 2 little girls hoping someone would say something. I have gone to prime mail bar twice so far. First time I went in with a photo of a dress for a wedding. They gave me a beautiful set that was just what I needed for the formal event. I am very indecisive and I don't get my nails done so this was a big change for me. I went back 2 weeks later and had my nails filed down for work and updated the color with a very festive look. I drove by this location while going to get gas down the road. It's really close to my apartment complex and it looked like they just opened so I wanted to try them out. I am part of a wedding party this weekend and our dresses are maroon so I wanted a mani and pedi to match. Let me start by saying I am not a fan of pedicures. I don't like people touching my feet. I don't like feet, in general. I have gotten exactly two pedicures in my life. The first one was at a spa and while the experience was meant to be relaxing, with all the massaging and lotion applications, I thoroughly hated the experience and felt uncomfortable the whole time. The second one was a no nonsense polish application and while I stop short of saying I enjoyed it, I will say it was much more relaxing than the first. I realize this is a weird way to begin a review of a nail salon, but it is meant to provide context. Prime Nail is my second pedi experience and while it may not seem like a five star endorsement to say that a no frills nail polish application is better than an hour long spa pedi, it actually is, and here is why: They listened to my needs and gave me exactly what I wanted. In the chair next to me, a lady was receiving all the pedi bells and whistles with a paraffin wrap and massage and lotions aplenty. She appeared to enjoy it, immensely. I, on the other hand, wanted a fast as lightening polish change for a trip to Miami. I normally paint my own toenails, but I wanted them to look nicer than I could do, and for the polish to last. The ladies at Prime, got me in and out in 30 minutes, as a walk-in. There was no soaking, no excess touching, but a very deftly and meticulously done trimming of cuticles and dead skin around the nail bed, buffing and gel polish application and I left with perfectly, and I mean, perfectly manicured...pedicured toes. I want to give it 5 stars but customer service has me at 50/50 My first visit I was impressed by Gina. She made my feet feel amazing with my pedicure. She always asked if the water was too hot, same with the towels. Getting me wine. Absolutely perfect. I had to bring a friend. Especially for her birthday. The lady who always greets each guests is really nice too. I bring my friend and I'm fortunate enough to get Gina again. But my friend got a tech that was very rough. She got her skin a couple times during the pedicure. Enough to make her cry but she wasn't trying to show it as she felt bad I was paying for it. The lady never asked if the wax was to hot. My friend would speak up for herself but the lady just kept going. Looking in all directions and half focusing on my friend. As my friend watched the care and effort Gina put into her service. I know her name because she made it memorable for me. It's a huge difference. At the end of the service my friends feet were barely wiped with lotion all over so she kept slipping in her shoes. But Gina wiped it all for me taking her time to properly finish the pedicure . I feel like I'm just not painting the picture enough on how much of a difference my experience was from my friends. Mine was a relaxing experience. My friends was more rushed. The lady was unprepared while Gina would bring out her equipment for herself and her colleague. Everyone should be like Gina. Ive lived in round rock for almost two years now, tried MANY salons out that start off great and slowly go down hill once clientele starts building up for them.
