Good experience! Walked in on a Saturday afternoon and they only had a few customers at the time. Sinh was the one who did my gel pedicure and she did a great job. They have a lot of gel color options too. A couple of my toenails are growing back so she recommended doing powder to fix the shape and she made it look good, glad I went with her recommendation! As a licensed nail technician and salon owner myself, I hold other salons to a reasonable if not higher minimum standard of professionalism -- and what I experienced today was extremely disappointing. I've been coming here for a while and always see a specific technician (she goes by Kim but her actual name is Mai). I called today at 10:30 AM to make an appointment with her for 12:45 PM. The man who answered the phone first told me they had no one working there named "Mai," and then immediately said her name is actually "Kim" -- which clearly means he knew who I was talking about in the first place. Instead of simply booking the appointment, he questioned how I knew her name and then told me 12:45 was "too busy a time of day"and told me to come at 11:00. I explained to him that I am at work and can't be there until 12:45 at the earliest so he didn't book me at all. I'm a paying regular who calls ahead and respects the salon's time, yet I was dismissed in favor of walk-ins. That's not how professional salons operate. Walk-ins should be accommodated around scheduled appointments -- not the other way around. When I said I would take my business elsewhere, he said "OK, thank you." No apology. No offer to help. No customer care whatsoever. This is exactly the level of service reflected in their 3.5-star rating. Warning Racist! I went to Friendly Nails with my 4-year-old daughter for a simple polish change, and the way we were treated was completely unacceptable. We were looked up and down multiple times, our nails were examined in a dismissive way, and then we were told they "couldn't fit us" and asked to leave. It was clear from the tone and attitude that this was not about scheduling -- it was about who we are. As a Black mother and child, we were made to feel unwelcome and disrespected. No one deserves to be treated this way, especially not a child. If you value respectful service and basic decency, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

experience was good at first. The lady was nice. Not even 6 days later the nails started to fall off and break. I called and they told me that they would fix them. Awesome I was happy. Well I went in and the lady acted all annoyed as if I went in and caused a scene about it. She rushed my nails. Told me it was my fault because I have small nail beds when I've never had this issue with another nail salon. They are uneven. Chunky and overall rushed. She didn't bother to clean them up or anything. There is a bunch of leftover under the nail and they are crooked. They are incredibly ugly. I was better off just going somewhere else and paying instead of dealing with that or simply just getting a refund if I knew that I was gonna be met with that negativity. I came in asking for a gel manicure. I've always struggled with keeping my nails long I have anxiety and I've always bit them, but for one they were long and strong and perfect I was very proud of them to keep them intact I decided to get a gel manicure from this place when I tell you they chipped and peeled in just a week when I've had other gel manicures that have stayed for months once they broke off and all of them peeled I was left with weak broken uneven nails and i had to cut off my natural nails super short due to the breakage and the weakling of my nails will never come to this place again. read more

I was visiting from out of town and my toes were needing some love. I had booked an appointment at another location however she forgot and took the day off so I was scrambling for where to go. We walked in and they said they could take us (as I had my little person with me as well). We got seated, they offered a drink and I so wish I had gotten the mans name who did my pedicure however for the foot massage alone I'd come back. He didn't beat on my legs, instead he was doing a pressure point which felt so much better. I won't lie, this is pricer than what I would pay back home ($28 and it's a basic soak, trim and paint? So you feel like you have to go to the $35 to be able to enjoy what you are paying for) but overall a great experience for my little person who had never had paraffin wax and our feet came out looking a whole lot better than before we walked in. read more

It was my first time here last Thursday. The nail tech Lynn was so nice but, the man at the front desk and the other nail tech next to her were yelling at her. I felt so bad. She did my nails and although I really like her, she started too far up above my cuticle. I didn't notice until I left and my husband saw them. I LOVE this nail salon, even came all the way from northwest Arkansas to get my nails done! That's a little bit of a joke, I was already in town visiting family and made it a point to pop in. I had been a regular for years, every 2 weeks, until my move and was so happy to finally come back. literally my nails look so bad. they did not have the color i wanted so i chose to go darker. i requested my nails be a little longer than the inspiration photo, so the length is good. they are SO chunky though. thr beads she laid on my nails were HUGE for no reason. they did not trim my cuticles at all and the paint job was messy. they seemed like they were rushing, 2 women were doing my nails at one point and they had a lady sitting right next to me waiting to get her nails done right after me. they were nice tho, they offered me a drink and they were sweet but ultimately it just turned out really bad, sorry. dont go here. read more

I used to come to this establishment for about two years prior to the pandemic because I liked the way one of the ladies did my eyebrows. The owner has always been extremely rude and unfriendly which is ironic, considering the name of this business. I just stopped by today, the owner looked at me, turned head, and mumbled something in her language. I have been to this nail salon several times now for pedicures and I've gotta say, I really like them! Their salon may not be quite as "pretty" as the one I was going to but they are very friendly, appreciative of my business, and have a large selection of nail polish. Their salon appears to be very clean as well. They do NOT charge an extra $2 covid cleaning fee like the other salon I was going to does. I'm really disappointed to be writing this update. I went in a few weeks ago for a pedicure and the nail technician got up several times to answer the phone. She left and came back without a word being said. I understand the phone needs to be answered, but I didn't understand why it always had to be her. The "flowers" she put on my toe don't even look like flowers and were definitely not worth the extra $5. After leaving, I noticed my pinky toe was messed up, most likely from when she put the sandals on my feet. Maybe she didn't notice, but if she did, she didn't bother to fix it. The main reason I'm writing this review is because after my visit, I experienced my first ever ingrown toenail due to my nail not being cut properly. It was pretty painful and not something that I would expect to deal with after going to a nail salon. I'm only downgrading them by 1 star because I have had several good experiences there, but unfortunately, I don't know that I'll be back. It's a shame because I think this place has potential to be a 5 star salon, but for now it seems that your experience there will be totally dependent on which technician you get. read more

COVID has surely put allot of pressure on the hospitality-service industry, as well as on the consumer relative to the choices we make. While this review has nothing to do with the nail.spa services of Friendly Nails, it most certainly has to do with their hospitality extended to me, that of Cindy in particular. In brief :), Dad (me) and his 15-year-old (my son) were going to H Mart located in the same shopping center as Friendly Nails. While I did not know there was an 85° bakery café nearby, I was thrilled to see them there, and yes we are going to stop and get some great baked goods. Upon getting out of the vehicle my son realized that he did not bring his mask. We searched the vehicle but could not find another mask. Because of the friendly service received at their other 85 degree locations, I thought for sure that they would be understanding when I asked if they would have a 10 cent disposable mask for my son and such that he could join me in the store. Most certainly had this situation taken place two or three months ago I wouldn't expect them to oblige as masks were at a premium. I walked in, with my mask on of course, and explained our situation. Each of the individuals behind the counter was wearing a disposable mask. The one I spoke to mumbled something and then called the manager on duty. I again explained our situation. She relayed to me that all masks are strictly "accounted for", that they need to log down anytime one is used. I let her know that I intended to purchase items from the store and that possibly she could simply jot down that she provided a mask in the interest of customer service. She giggled and said no she can't do that. I then offered to purchase a mask from her. Again, no can't do that. At this point I let her know that no I won't be making a purchase and I walked out. As I knew that I will still need a mask for my son and I to go to H Mart in the same center, I looked for an establishment nearby that may have one. Lo and behold, "Friendly Nails" was right next-door. I walked in and inquired if they would be willing to sell me a mask. The individual I spoke with, Cindy, gladly got up, went to the large box at the counter and pulled out a disposable mask, happily providing this to me...at no charge! You could see the smile in her eyes too. Of course, this is customer service, and I wasn't even a customer! While the team at 85° doesn't get it, there is hope when you have establishments like Friendly Nails who do. Thanks Cindy and team! read more

This place looked so nice and I thought it was going to be great... I WAS WRONG! My friend and I went here and got SNS, first they tried to sit us separately when there was plenty of space and I had to negotiate so we could sit next to each other....they took almost TWO HOURS just for the manicure... They kept having to start over and by the end we just wanted to get out of there. Now we are both unhappy with how they look. I got my nails done light pink and there have had rough yellow spots on them since I left. Don't waist your time or money here. read more

This is my favorite nail salon in town, and for quite a few reasons. Even during busy times, there is never a very long wait for any services...that's key for me, because most of the time I get a mani/pedi on a whim :) I typically get their Sea Salt Pedi, and really feel that it's worth the little bit of extra money. The pedicure never feels rushed, and you get a very deep and relaxing massage. Same with their manicures. If I've had a hard week, nothing feels better than to sit at the table and unwind with a relaxing manicure. The staff is courteous and friendly, and will engage you in conversation or leave you be if you'd rather read a book/magazine which I love. read more

I've been to Friendly Nails twice. At this point I feel it's time to give 'em their due on Yelp! I don't do pedicures very often, but when I do, I go all out. I do the $50 pedicures that accompany foot massages, extra milk and honey scrub, and paraffin wax dip. They have lots of options to choose from, but this last time I did the Milk and Honey detail. It was, in a word, delicious. My pedicurist, Kim, was sweet, thorough, and continually asked me if I wanted a daisy on my big toe. (Let it be known I said, "Thank you, no.") I'm a fan of french tip on my toes and Kim did a beautiful job. The salon is clean, always busy, and very homey. They have a 42" HDTV hanging on the wall with every woman's delight (HGTV) playing throughout the day. My cousin lives close to this nail salon and I can't wait for the day when we finally go together! Prices are standard for a nail salon; $30-35 for a normal pedicure, an extra $3 for french tip, and the prices go up to $50 if you want any of the fabulous accouterments such as paraffin wax dips for your tootsies or extra scrubs. If you're in the area, go! You won't regret it. read more

First off I don't want anyone to be discouraged on going here because of my 2 stars... Kim is amazing!!! I have been getting my nails done for over 15 years and she is by far the best. She is very kind, has a servant's heart and is not tip driven. She is very thankful when I tip her 20%. I had set up an appt today with her for my typical mani/pedi appt. I live an hour away now so I call ahead. I have been going to Kim for a year. I walked in today for my appt and she was off?!? Ok, I was hesitant but I decided to take a chance with someone else. Lynn. She was not happy at all. She was rude and very disappointed with me that I chose the "regular" pedicure instead of the "deluxe" Kim has never pushed that on me.. Geeze! My nails look horrible! She clipped them so short. They look like boxes.. She filed them after she painted them. I showed the manager and she told the girl to do them over but I had to go..I am an esthetician. I take pride in my eyebrows being freshly done. I even take my tweezers outside in broad daylight to make sure I get every hair... Lynn wanted to wax my eyebrows! Seriously!?! What are you going to wax?! Kim on the other hand always mentions how my eyebrows look good. Bottom line, she was rude, grumpy and unprofessional. She was older, about 60. Wearing a Nail apron from another salon. She was not put together at all...Coffee stains on her uniform... She jerked my hands and feet... I had to keep my feet back far since she kept sliding her feet Into my wet toenails. I really didn't feel like having her have to redo my toes! My nails are sharp on corners and have bumps in them.. She didn't even clean up the paint around my nails on my skin... I showed them to her and manager and they wanted to redo but I only carved out 1&1/2 hours for the appointment. I'm so sad because I really love Kim! She is the best! I feel bad that I prob won't be back because of this. They are clean and have great polishes but this lady ruined it for me! Overall, it was a better nail experience than I've had a lot of other places but I am just outright spoiled by Embellish. The good: the pedicure massage chair felt great (and I'm usually NOT a fan as they usually feel more like torture to me) and Annie really went after these abused feet. Good polish selection but while they have Essie - they only have about 20 colors so if you have a favorite of that brand you'd be better off bringing your own bottle. I also loved that the two TVs were set to HGTV and Food Network respectively. Wasn't pushed to tip in cash which I generally experienced at other nail salons (Luna Nail Spa, I'm looking at you!) The meh: I'm not terribly impressed with the gel manicure versus the shellac I am a fan of from Embellish. There's definitely a shade difference from the bottle as well as from the area by the cuticle to the bottom of the nail. As for the other beef? I am 99.9% certain what she used on my calluses was a handheld cheese grater. I have one in my kitchen at home! To clarify - its probably been two months since I got a pedicure but really, I didn't think we were at power tool status quite yet. It didn't hurt but it definitely weirded me out! Also: I'm not a fan of the chattering in a language I don't speak or understand. It is one of the top reasons that I go to Embellish, and this happened several times here. If this also bothers you - you will not enjoy this salon. All in all, $60 for a gel manicure and an upgraded pedicure. Not bad! read more

Edit: I am now an official regular. They do a WICKED french tip...an accuracy I have never seen before. I also bring my 5 year old for a polish, and she enjoys it quite a bit! I've only gone here twice, and I really do like it and will be going back. I've gotten the gel mani/pedi each time. At first I felt they were a little pushy about having me try the gel polish (it's more expensive), but I am thankful they did now. It lasts sooo much longer (mine lasted a month). The staff is very nice, each time they take walk-ins and are adequately staffed to keep wait times down. The facility is very clean and well kept. They sterilize all their equipment in an autoclave after each use (hooray sanitation). read more

I've been going to Friendly Nail for several years and am always pleased with the results for the money. The nail tech I worked with for years left several months ago so I just go with whomever is available now. I haven't had time to take care of my nails in the past three months so yesterday I decided it was time. I was assigned to David. He was so pleasant and fun to be around... but that's not the main thing. I had the best pedicure EVER (excluding one super high dollar luxury spa experience) and he managed to get my ragged and dry finger nails looking fresh, clean and shiny. I am very happy. I've recommended this salon for years because my experiences have been very positive, the environment is pleasant and, unless they are super busy, I do find it to be a relaxing experience.
