Looking for a nail salon to call home I have Mix 6 a try today. It was super easy to call and make a reservation. I even received a text confirmation which was nice. The major plus was the music and noise level. It was a nice hum and the music great. The chairs were lovely. Maggie was super sweet. I had a volcano pedicure. Name kind of weird as it was lavender. Maybe the brand? Maggie did a great job. The lavender smelled amazing. My feet really needed the attention. My only down side was the paraffin dip. There wasn't enough in the bag to cover my feet so that was a little disappointing. I booked a manicure with dip polish but suppose I wasn't clear when we sat down to do my nails. I ended up with a nail polish switch. Not bad but not really all I wanted. And I wasn't sure about the service so didn't speak up. My bad. I'm not 100% happy with the outcome as it's a little wavy and sides not well cleaned up. And I asked about a design which didn't come out great. So fingernails weren't a hit. Suggestions for the business - Turn on the closed caption to both TVs. Super annoying to watch the action but no idea what's going on. Only to find the TV behind me had them on. Take a little time and make some matches for those who want dip on nails and shellac on toes. I was super disappointed to try and root around in the big box of dips to try and match my toes. :-( Really limited selection for shellac or maybe that's all I saw. Provide an idea of drinks. I was asked immediately what I'd like which is super nice and went with water to only see others with mimosas and wine. Be sure clients know how to use massage feature on your chairs before you get started. Overall I'll give them a second try as it was a great experience. Just a hiccup or two. I suggest giving them a try too.
This was my first time to this nail salon. I'm not a salon hopper and my nail tech left after being his client for almost 20 years, so finding a new tech is a scary. I am also in the hair industry for almost 30 years and so when I leave a review it has an understanding of the profession. Noy was my technician and now my new nail guru. She was super professional with warmth and understanding of great customer service. She nailed my shape (no pun intended) and did them soooo fast!!! I had 3 nails that need a bit more attention and she still got it all done in a little less than an hour. Noy is new to the Austin area so I am grateful to have gotten in last minute, but I believe she will be booked out quickly due to her talent and sweet disposition. The young woman at the front desk was super sweet. The salon itself is beautiful and very clean. The decor is on trend. I'm so grateful to have found Noy and look forward to the relationship of trust and loyalty in the future.
Had a gel manicure that lasted for less than a week (started chipping after 5 days but wasn't able to come back until today, day 7). I went back and was told they don't warranty a gel manicure especially after 2 weeks (it's been 7 days but was chipping and cracking before then). I'm used to having my nails last 2 weeks plus some days if I'm unable to keep my schedule (I aim to go every other week. Sometimes sooner if needed, but 5 days?!?!) , I was absolutely shocked by the quality. After my experience I went back and read other reviews and seen that there were others that experienced something similar. UPDATE: PLEASE READ PAST REVIEWS, there's so many that say the same thing that I have experienced! there are reviews where others lasted 48 hours OR LESS!!! And now look at the OWNER's response. in my opinion she's trying to gaslight me as if there weren't other complaints! I took away another star... now that I know that Michelle is the owner, it makes sense why she kept changing what she was saying about the "policy". She was changing the policy as we were speaking to fit her agenda because she's the owner. Also, note the previous 1 star review. She defends HERSELF in 3rd person under FALSE pretense... Shady AF Pro: very attentive when you're spending money Con: lackluster job that you spend $100+ on that only last for 5 days... 2 stars because it was my second visit. The first went well. The second went well also, I did enjoy my time there, minus the chipping which didn't happen on my first visit. It was a complete turn off going back and forth with the woman at the front desk. Whom kept insisting that I had them done 2 weeks ago when the date I came in was on her screen. She even told me the date I came in which was last week smh. UPDATE: notice the owners comment! I tipped cash after receiving their "Christmas discount" smh. Noticed she mentioned discount, I DON'T care about your "special Christmas discount", is that the reason the quality is the way it is? Because of your holiday special? See how She threatened legal action after clearly seeing chips/ cracking? There are nails that literally "look fine" but are not! I've attached another photo. No misunderstanding or misinformation. The facts are facts. As I've said, I kept a schedule, and this was the ONLY place where my gel mani lasted 5 days... I'm not harsh on my nails (noticed she blamed me). I noticed while washing my hair that my strands were getting caught BETWEEN the nails and gel and that was on day 4! I was even going to suck it up and deal with it until it until a DIFFERENT NAIL chipped! However, after YEARS of getting these done I would have changed up my schedule if needed IF that were true. But since I'm a stay at home mom I've learned to keep things scheduled, I don't like coming back everytime a nail cracks or chips. It's a waste of my time. I would have GLADLY paid full price if that meant the nails would have lasted longer. "As I told you earlier..." the only thing that was discussed was warranty, stop lying, you told me nothing else! Speaking of false information *peace and love
I was robbed of my time and money. I was told by two techs in that establishment that they CANNOT do ombré with powder. I specially asked for yellow nude ombré with a matte finish. The tech wanted to do her own thing with gel polish instead of being up front. They will try to take your money and make you settle for what they want you to have. Sad to say I HAD HIGH HOPES. If you have small fingers DO NOT go here. She kept trying to blame her LACK of SKILL on my "small nails". AGAIN... if she knew my nails were something she is not expertise on... THE. FREAKIN SAY IT. BUT NOOOO THEY WANT TO ROB U FOR TIME AND MONEY. I EVEN TRIED TO MAKE UT SIMPLE AND TELL HER TO DIP MY WHOLE NAIL IN ONE POWDER DIP And she said NO. even after I wanted a hour just for her to get my nail shape into a coffin style. IM DISGUSTED WITH MY SERVI
I would give this salon 10/10 stars if I could! Teeny, the business owner did my nails and I showed her reference photos & somehow she even did better than the pictures I showed her. She also finished my nails in less than 45 minutes which is amazing in itself. My nails cost $45, I didn't need a manicure so I just got gel with design. With how great my nails look, I would say it's well worth the price & my nails aren't thick or messy at all. The salon was very clean albeit it's a busy holiday weekend. Teeny was very sweet and welcoming to me which made me feel comfortable during my appointment. I would honestly disregard the negative reviews about this place- it seems like those yelp reviewers were just having a bad day and have no idea what they're talking about Anywho, I had an amazing / quick experience and Teeny was AWESOME. I will 100% be back again.
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.. ANY WHERE BUT HERE!! Had my nails done here over the weekend. Went to work realized they were bit to long called to have them cut down. Came in the guy looked at me like I just told them they did a shit job and I didn't. I said I needed them cut down. The lady that cut my nails then proceeded to do a a hack job on my nails. My nails look horrible. . NO SHAPING, THEY ARE UNEVEN...My 5 year old niece could have done a better job. I paid over $75 plus tip for my nails this weekend. .. now they look like crap
Professional. Extreme attention to detail. AND everyone is so friendly! I have found my new nail place and couldn't be happier
It is nice inside and they do have quite a selection of colors but I really am just not impressed with the work itself on my set. The color doesn't go all the way to the edge on some of the nails, you can even still see a bit of the green I had on my previous set still there, one side of the nails are sharper square (which I prefer) and one corner is more rounded, my pinky nails are super thick while the others aren't and some are more rounded and some are flat. I made an appointment online and that was super easy and they were able to accommodate me wanting to move it up by 30 minutes the day of but I went in almost right at opening and no one else was there but I still feel like it was low key rushed and I was done in less that 45 minutes which I wouldn't ever complain about except the quality of work clearly suffered. I'll give them another go but hoping for someone else next time.
Went here for a pedicure a few months ago- it was great. Decided to take my mother in law here while she's visiting and while her nails look great, mine are awful. We spent $300 here for 2 basic pedis, 2 dip nails, and my 7 year old to get her nails painted for the FIRST time, which have also came off just from showering. I got a regular pedicure and it lasted MAYBE 5-10 minutes while my mother in law got the same type of pedicure and hers lasted at least 30-40 minutes. My daughter got her nails painted, while we were waiting for my mother in law (since we were done quite a while like 2 hrs before her although I got the SAME mani and pedi), a man who works there walked by and touched my daughters toe for no reason, and clearly messed up her toenail polish and said "oh still wet!" brought her a fan and left. Didn't even bother fixing it or letting anyone know that HE messed up her toe polish. What a great first experience for her. The next night I look at my hands, and all of my dip powder is coming off/chipping away (8 nails) but only a few of them were extremely noticeable. I go in and they fix them and apologize and just said they needed to be thicker. Now, 2.5 days later my nails are chipping SO bad that all the dip powder completely came off the tops and sides of two of my nails. I'm a pregnant stay at home mother, not sure why their product can't stay on, but this is ridiculous. I rarely am able to get my nails done anymore since being pregnant, so this was supposed to be a nice treat so I could feel beautiful. Thank you so much for a terrible experience. Whoever took care of my mother in law did a great job. The person who did my horrible pedicure and dip nails both times was Tony, I recommend not getting your nails done by him. Not sure who did my daughters nails, it was a woman, she did an ok job... no idea who the man was who decided to mess them up (younger man) but their polish didn't last more than a day or two anyways. I've never been one to complain at a salon or have ever had to go back. I won't be going back a THIRD time to get my nails fixed AGAIN, just so they can be ruined 2 days later, so I'll just walk around with messed up nails for now. I've gotten dip powder many times at other salons and always lasted me 2 weeks. I also had my eyebrows waxed and they've been itching ever since. We will never be back, which is unfortunate because it looks like such a pretty and nice salon.
I was on a short trip to Austin from So Cal and decided to do my nails. They did a fantastic job. I got the tropical pedicure with regular polish and a gel manicure. Both were great. Very precise paint job, all the way up to the cuticle, as I had asked, which is hard to get. The salon is very clean and chairs are comfy. Definitely recommend them!
I having been getting my nails (acrylic gel) done here for about a year and am consistently happy. The color options, designs, etc. are modern and up to date with all the trends. I get a pedicure every so often as well and they are relaxing and reasonably priced. I also love being able to make appointments online - makes it so easy. Additionally, Michelle does my lashes and her talent is incredible! My lashes look natural and I always receive compliments.

Will charge you extra for their mistakes. When I first walked in, I specifically asked if we should do a complete soak-off or if a fill would be okay. I was told a fill would be fine and that the color would match. Unfortunately, the color used did not match my previous color, leaving a very noticeable line across my nails. They ended up fixing it, but then charged me for a full soak-off to correct the issue. I don't understand why I was charged extra when I asked about this exact concern before the service and followed their recommendation. Had I been told from the beginning that the color wouldn't match, I would have just done the soak-off in the first place. I tried calling afterward to discuss the charge, but they were not willing to resolve it. It's disappointing to be charged extra for correcting an issue that could have been avoided from the start. read more

Absolutely love this nail salon! This was my second time to go and both times have been awesome! Donnie did an amazing job on my nails for Valentine's Day. It was a little spendy but 100% worth every penny! They do exactly what you ask for and the salon is very clean/new. The nail technicians are extremely nice and interact with the customers always giving the best service. So I probably will not be returning back to this place. They have horrible customer service skills. I went in originally for the nails with the design. When I asked how much it would be they told me $110. I asked for a price breakdown because it didn't make sense for me to pay $110 for my nails if the original price for a full set was $55. It's because they were trying to charge me for dip, length, shape, and 2 different design prices when I asked for gel/regular polish anyway. I ended up getting just gel french tips and ended up paying $80 DESPITE the fact that I hadn't even made it up the road and my nail had chipped. read more

I have mixed opinions about this salon. To be fair, my first (and only) time, the place was busy and I missed my appointment- which they still let me in and did my nails and I was greatful for. The place is chic, well priced, and has an okay atmosphere. My nails actually came out great, save for some soreness and a bit of bleeding. Now, onto what I didn't like. It took 2.5 hours for the lady, whom I'm assuming was a manager, to do my nails. Not because she took a long time, but because she kept leaving me to attend to other clients. Unprofessional. If you're over booked you have to learn at some point your staff cannot take more clients when they already have people waiting and someone in their chairs. My nails were falling off within a week, which I'm used to two weeks at least. She also tried saying that my nails weren't ready to be taken off (from the previous time), even though they were overgrown, chipped, and I had told her it's been about 2.5 weeks. I know that's early for some people, but with the circumstances, I believe she could tell they were old. One of my nails that begun falling off attached to the quick of my nail. Not sure if this is something the salon did on accident or just the way it happened, so this point could be moot but still leaves a distaste for them. Unfortunately, I have to say I probably wouldn't return, but I would recommend them to someone looking for a long and chaotic appointment/walk in. read more

As the new owners, we would like to say thank you for taking the time…
My experience here was just ugh. I booked an appointment with a particular person and when I arrived I didn't get that person. And on top of that I was seen about 30 min after my scheduled appointment .I wasn't offered anything to drink and I didn't feel that comfortable with the person working on my nails. I had seen all these wonderful reviews on Yelp and therefore I drove 30 min to check it out. The place is really nice and it seems like a wonderful atmosphere but I didn't really feel welcomed. Also for the $90 I paid, my nail rhinestones could have been straight. read more
