I scheduled an appointment with Kami yesterday (12/26/25) at 2pm. I showed up at 1:58, and the doors were locked with no one in sight. I saw a light on in the back room, so I knocked on the door and no one came to answer. I called Kami's number on my confirmation email, and it went to vm the few times I called. I left a message asking if there had been an error. I called the salon main number and left a message there. Nothing. So I left..maybe there was an emergency? My usual beautician has not been able to fit me in. I drive by this place often and decided to give them a call to see if they had anyone who was familiar and willing to work with my African American hair. I was able to get right in. I was blessed to be able to work with Wendi who jumped right in and did exactly what I asked her to do. She was warm and welcoming and very gentle. I love the scalp and neck massage at the shampoo bowl and how well she did with my hair and making sure it was what I wanted before I left. I had a coupon so I decided to buy one of the Kevin Murphy products used in my hair. Overall I loved the front desk service and knowledge she had to fit me with the perfect stylist. Normally we have a good experience at Lavish Salon. I go online, choose a stylist that has an opening and my daughter gets a haircut. Buyer beware. The previous trip was a bust. The stylist can wash hair but didn't know how to cut a bob so my a trim it was. Paid the full amount. We rescheduled with a different stylist a few weeks later. The new stylist was nice to my daughter but very rude to me. The cut was nothing special and we paid another $60 with no wash. If you choose a random person with an opening, you may want to make sure that person knows what they are doing before spending $120+ tip for inexperience and rude customer service. read more

Wow. This place is amazing crazy. I was new to here and need a good "stylist" not just a cut. I found this place. I have never seen a hair place I need to post a bond for $50 bucks for the appointment (if you don't show up you are charged for the time, regardless). You can just "don't show up or don't cancel 48 hour before the app". Well, I showed up for the Sat 10:00 A.M. app. Oh boy this place is pleasant and busy. My stylist was Jennifer Taketa. I used to drive from Round Rock to get my lash extensions and a routine mani pedi. Now that I'm in Cedar Park, it just makes it that much better ! I was looking to get my hair done and came across this place online. I was able to get an appointment within the next two days. I went in today for a balayage. I got booked with Jen. I did have to wait about an hour after my appointment time, but they had clothes and jewelry to shop through also! Jen did an amazing job. I don't usually treat myself to getting my hair done because I am always nervous on the outcome. But, I will definitely be coming more often now! Jen was open and easy to talk to, and super nice. She was amazing with me and super knowledgeable. I have a special circumstance with my hair and recent health and she was straight with me and knew exactly what to recommend and how to help me along on my hair journey. The hair stylist did not do what I asked and inserted suggested something she thought would look nice and it didn't I cried and she hardly spoke the whole time. Very uncomfortable I would not recommend I have been 4x and only once have they did what I asked and the 3 other times always tried to talk me in to something I didn't want or like I wanted red hair and blonde bangs but I left with a color correction it was awful. read more

Well, since Fadwa left me for her husband and moved away (hush, I'm still grieving the loss), I've had to find a new stylist. I'd grown my hair out during the pandemic (best time to get through that awkward short-to-long phase lbr), but realized that, yup, I still hate having long hair, so I booked an appointment here. The first time I came in, I explained what I wanted and the gal (very sweet, thank you for being so honest) was like "Uh.... I'm gonna refer you to someone else here to do that, because I want you to love your haircut, and I don't feel comfortable cutting it that short." So I had to make another appointment for a week later, and that's when I got paired with Jamie. She's great, and she chopped off my long locks and gave me a great 'do, plus helped me pick out some products for styling (and the side-eye she gave me when I came clean about what hairspray I had at home! Amaze). As for the attached boutique, so cute. It's the most quintessential Texan glam I think I've ever seen, and I love it. Plus they'll give you a coffee or mimosa while you wait and shop. I came in scared (because I haven't had a cut in awhile) to cut my long hair, but she recommended a lot of options for me. She made me feel really comfortable with my decision and she did everything I asked her to do. She also curled my hair after to make it even more beautiful! I'm in love! I need a new salon since moving here from out of state. I'll keep this short as I can. I loved how close I lived to them. That's about it. I selected a stylist from online. From the time I got called back to discuss my hair, me pulling up the pic to show her, the wash, the haircut itself, and a blowdry, was an entire 30 mins, start to finish. The stylist missed an entire section. Cut it inches shorter than I wanted, made it lopsided, looked nothing like my picture, and was just overall, bad. I didn't realize until later that night, playing with my hair how bad it was. (had a sinus migraine that day, went home and napped for a few hours, didn't play with my hair before leaving). I called that evening and they were closed. So I sent a text. I got a reply at 10am the next morning to come back in between 11:30-1 for the same stylist to fix. after thinking about it all night, I decided not to go back in. I just had my daughter cut the long pieces and I'm waiting for my hair to grow to fix it, b/c it's already too short. I paid $60 for the haircut and a 20% tip. $72 bucks. 30 mins, bad haircut. no call from the manager or owner. I just wanted an apology and maybe that the stylist had been talked to. She didn't give me a standard cut, but analyzed how to overcome styling challenges producing a suitable individual style. This took a little bit of time and I appreciated her effort! Haylie is an expert with hair color too! Beautiful results! The salon allocates the appropriate time for appointments so the overall experience is pleasant and not rushed. I had no plans on having my hair cut yesterday. I was walking in to order some pho next door and saw this salon. I randomly walked in and had an appt scheduled for 20 minutes later. I hadn't cut my hair since February and wanted to keep its length. Trisha did just that. I'm likely a salon's worst idea of a client because I have very little opinion or idea on what I want done. I know to "keep the length" and "frame my face". She trimmed my hair perfectly. I now have longer layers back, face is framed, and it looks healthy. She was great and personable. I usually hate the small talk that is made while getting my hair cut but I have to say, Trisha made it an actual enjoyable experience. Price point was as expected (~$55). After coming here a little over a year now, I've recently started to experience problems that never happened in the past. It's a very nice salon and everyone I've been paired with does a great job, but keeping an appointment is turning into a headache. A month ago I made an appointment for a color before going out of town. The day of they called to ask if I could come in at 2 instead of 4:45 because my stylist wasn't feeling good and wanted to go home early. Hey I get that things happen, but I couldn't switch times because I was still working. They found someone else to take me at the original time I confirmed, so all was well. Yesterday I had an appointment for a cut and style at 4:45, had confirmed it via their webpage, and again got called to ask if I could come in at 5:30 instead. This wasn't going to work because I had a 6pm nail appointment I was not willing to cancel. They found someone else to take me at 5 and promised to get me out on time so I went with it. Once arriving the girl took one look at me and said we had one of two options. Because my hair is both long and thick, she said she wouldn't have time to wash, cut, and style. She said she could wet my hair and cut it without washing it, or fully wash it, cut it, but have me leave with wet hair. I didn't like either option because I made this appointment specifically to have my hair washed and styled before going out of town today. At that point I wanted to leave as she was the second person they put me with that day, and I was starting to feel like more of a hassle than a paying customer. Instead she paired me with a third lady who was able to wash, cut, and style but it seemed very rushed and I was still ten minutes late to my nail appointment. I appreciated them finding someone to do what I needed, but when you make an appointment it shouldn't be this much of a production to keep it. I know their main receptionist went through some horrible events recently and that they are having a hard time filling her spot, but I think it might be time to find a new hair place that is less stress inducing. read more

I don't usually have women doing my hair. Most salons can't "do" the kinkier hair and most women don't work in barber shops. But.. the missus comes here to get her 'fro tightened (i.e. hair done) and I am a good spouse.... so While waiting for Michelle to do her thang.... I remark that I have to go to my usual spot to have my own 'fro tightened..... and Michelle comments that surely there is someone here that can cut your hair... Ten minutes later, up comes Melissa... professional hair stylist and colorist.... and invites me into her lair..... MuHaHaHa... I sit down and think to myself, "I have a bad feeling about this (yes I watched SW:Empire Strikes Back this weekend)". I became a little more skittish when she went to find her "fade brush"..... but dang... I had absolutely NOTHING to worry about. She cut my hair differently (i.e. out of order) than any one who has been close to my head with clippers... but did it fast, efficiently and WELL. She offered a shampoo/conditioner and hair care... which I accepted. As a dood... having a woman washing your hair is the BEST LOL. But seriously, Melissa was funny and nice (and didn't make it weird). I carefully read several reviews before deciding to come here. I read the negative reviews to see what they didn't like and if it is reasonable. I will be honest the negative reviews here scared me a little but I thought they can't be the norm or there would not be so many positives. I am so glad I tried it. They were able to get me an appointment Saturday morning when I called Friday afternoon, so scheduling was a breeze. The reception area was very nice. There is a gift shop area I did not go into, it is off to the side. Hannah was wonderful. She gave me the exact cut I wanted. She was friendly and we had a wonderful chat. I took her card so that I can remember to go back to her. I don't get my haircut often because I had not found a place I really felt fit me yet. I found good places, but this one fits me. I was worried it would be like a popular girl click and I would feel like an outsider as I often do. But that was far from the case here. I am so happy with my haircut and experience. read more

I really wanted to love this place, I've seen it before while living and shopping in the neighborhood. When I made an appointment I asked to get paired with someone who could handle thick hair. I was told Trisha would be my best bet. When I arrived she was running behind but no big deal I waited. Trisha is very personable and funny I really liked her. The first time she did my hair it was just a touch up and trim and it was decent. I did have to go back to get it re-toned but that happens. The 2nd time I saw her I wanted to update my balayage that grew out. I didn't want anything drastic just an update. I'm not sure where things went wrong, but as I lay in bed hating my hair and contemplating wearing a hat for the foreseeable future I realized maybe a 4pm appointment time did me in. Maybe she was tired, maybe it was just a bad day but none the less my hair turned out awful. I couldn't bring myself to go to work the next day, my husband and neighbors said I'd be fine if I wore a hat, thanks. I am currently in the process of finding a new salon to get a color correction, because I can't trust that this salon can get it right. Again, I really wanted this salon to work out. I cannot express how disappointed and sad I am. It literally brings tears to my eyes seeing my hair. It is nothing to what we had talked about, I even showed her pictures of what I wanted. I cut more than 12 inches of my hair and for what? To look like I literally grab scissors and cut straight through. No layers. No evenness. Nothing. I have loved coming to this place for many years. The last year the place has gone way down hill. When you came in the staff was friendly. Now you have to do a dance to get the front desk person to acknowledge you. They use to have great music now its hip hop and cuss words. All the hair ladies were friendly, now I get gross and ugly looks. They gossip about everything and it's so loud in there so forget about relaxing. I needed to sit down while I waited for my hair apt. I was talked to horribly and told Not to be on my phone if I was going to sit there its annoying. I didnt even have my phone out. The bathroom was dirty. The saloon (Not Salon) now looks like an overgrown boutique with catty hairstylist that hate their job and talk bad about you as soon as you leave. So glad Crystal Steffes was able to fix my hair. I had gone to an Aveda salon and spent far too much on an "ombré/balayage" that looked hideous in my opinion. Crystal did her best to correct it and make me look far more presentable! It took 5 hours but it's much better than before. It cost $265 before tip for a color correction and balayage. read more

Kind of expensive but since I don't go very often I'm not too worried. The color came out amazing... all the stylists were commenting on it. My hair is very fine and has to be precision cut. she went above and beyond.
