She also styles my hair where I look so much younger than my age. I have gone to her for over two years now. I went to Lift Salon to see Rebecca and have seen her 4 times already. She does amazing lash extensions! I've been doing extensions on and off for about 5 years and have had many lash artists. Rebecca is one of the best when it comes to retention! I've noticed that almost all the extensions that have fallen out have a single actual lash attached. I've only seen 1 where it was just the extension. With other lash artists, I've had multiple extensions fall off without the lash the first week but didn't see that at all with Rebecca's application. She's also very knowledgeable. If you have questions on style, lash type, application, isolation, etc, she can answer all of that. Rebecca is super sweet and fun to talk to! It makes the appointment go by so fast. I highly recommend her. read more

There are great things about this salon and things that could to be improved. The good: The owner is friendly and warm. She accommodated me over the top. I screwed up my calendar but she took me in as a walk in when they were completely booked, which meant I had to be put with her apprentice. I was getting a color so it was ok bc the owner helped choose the color and her apprentice simply applied. The color was fantastic. The salon is super cute and really has a friendly uplifting feel. Nice and clean, too, which made me feel comfy. The not-so-good - While the owner is very personable, her apprentice doesnt have the experience or skills to be friendly. Its sorta important, you know? I think it would be nice if she acquired the skills to be able to develop a client relationship. Also, she didnt know that it's important to consult with a client. This includes sharing your ideas as well as letting your customer know what you are about to do and if it's all right. And here's why I say that. When it came time to trim my hair, I got nervous because of her lack of experience and just asked her to do a very slight trim, just take an eighth off the ends. She asked me if I knew if I had layers or not. (???) Couldnt she tell i do??? She trimmed my length straight across the very ends of the length only. Straight. No layering. When I saw that, I told her it was ok to stop because i wasnt sure she knew what she was doing. Then, she began styling. A blow dry followed by flat iron. Flat. No wave, no curl, nothing. I looked terrible. I thought she was going to do more, but off snapped my smock and she said I was all done. Should I have said something? Yeah. But I didnt. Why? Because at that point i lost my confidence in her abilities. I just wanted to get home and fix it my own way. Next came the checkout at a whopping $210 dollars. That's a lot of bread. The salon was great, the owner was great, but if that cut was worth full price and for an apprentice, I'm afraid that's just too rich for me. read more

This review is for Heather Reedy. I contemplated giving this review! I thought it over for quite a bit. I tried reaching out to Heather a few times via text and never got a response. I've actually cried over this! I would give her 5 stars for hair cuts when it came to cutting mine and my daughter's hair! She was simply amazing!! I've seen her work with color and highlights and she always seemed to do a great job. So when I was ready to go back to blonde I figured I would get Heather to do the color/highlights. I honestly don't know what happened. I don't know if she was just having an off day, feeling rushed, or just didn't want to take her time. The overall highlight job was horrible. I had to hold back tears while checking out/paying when she was done. There were clumps of inconsistent streaks. I know I have very thick hair and lots of it but she knew that when I booked because she cuts my hair and always did a fantastic job at it. There were a lot of dark sections that were left. There is a lot of blotchiness. There is also bleeding from putting too much hair in the foil. I tried contacting her to see if she would fix it and she would never contact me back. It just really hurt and was hard not to take personally, since I've never seen her do a bad highlight job on anyone else, just on me. I just wish she would have at least tried to make it right or fix the mess ups at least. read more

Today I had my first appointment at Lift Salon and my stylist was Amy. She was fantastic, and I was in such need of repair and wanted to make a drastic change and she was totally game! She had so much fun cutting, layering, texturizing, and curling my hair. I loved it. She is so very friendly and sweet, a great conversationalist. I love my cut and my color, she gave me what I wanted based on a picture but also put her own touch to it. I'm so pleased that I booked an appointment in about 10 days for my 12yo daughter to get a fabulous back-to-school cut. I can't wait for her to see this place! The shop is adorable - eclectic girl on steroids, it reminds me of my own room as a teen and my style as a young adult. There is so much to look at, and the amazing chairs in the lobby are fabulous! I felt like royalty just sitting to wait a few minutes. I highly recommend Lift. I don't have to book an appointment months in advanced, but this little gem will probably get popular very soon. We just recently moved to Georgetown and my daughter and I needed a haircut so I found this place on yelp and noticed each of the stylists have a number where they can be reached and set an appointment with them. I tried Yara first and after a week I never heard back from her so I tried to contact Cameron who did respond but told me she had just come back from vacation and was booked and couldn't help me. I just moved to Georgetown and needed a haircut desperately. I was also interested in some ombré highlights. I was able to get an appointment with Angel on a Saturday, and while she is new to the salon she is an experienced stylist and she did such a great job! She really made sure we were on the same page about what I was wanting (super subtle gradation to some caramel highlights) and it came out exactly like I wanted. She did a great cut too. I always get nervous because my hair is really dark and will pull a brassy tone of it isn't done right, but Angel knew exactly what to do. After a 10 year search I've finally found a stylist and salon that works for me. Heather gave me an amazing haircut that not only looks great but is easy to style. She really listened to what I needed in a haircut and explained what she was doing as she worked. My husband, who really likes long hair, loves the shorter summer hair style I got. Heather Reed gave me a fantastic haircut that exceeded all my expectations. I had a pretty vague idea of what I wanted when I went in. She understood immediately, and gave me a haircut that really works well with my naturally wavy hair. All I do is wash my hair, brush it, and let it air dry in the morning, and it looks like I spent an hour styling it. My waves fall so perfectly, almost looking like curls.
