This picture is from less than 48 hours after my Dazzle Dry manicure. I have used other technicians/ salons and never had an issue and they last a week+. Unfortunately I was heading out of town so I couldn't come have them redone using the polish chip guarantee, but also who has time to be running back and forth to the salon either. Yes the salon credited me $15 but on a manicure that costs $60 that I just had to remove that seems a bit insulting. I don't normally post negative reviews but unfortunately my last couple of manicures here just haven't lasted. I had a gel set that lifted from my nails in 3 days last summer. I've used clean slate a few times for eyebrow waxing, I really enjoy the facility and the people working. The tipping system is interesting, you pay and then you swipe your card again for a separate tip but today it looks like they are implementing another new tipping system called Tippy. I was trying to get through the phone scan and all of that to set it up, entered my tip amount and then realized that I'm being charged a convenience fee. I'm definitely not going to pay a convenience fee for an inconvenient tipping option (or at all, just give me their Venmo). Honestly, a $27, 5 minute eyebrow wax has priced me out anyway, so the tipping was the straw that broke the camels back. I thoroughly enjoy the facilities and all the ladies I've ever worked with at clean slate, but it's time for me to find a new spot! read more

Have had waxing services (bikini) off and on for the last 30(?) years so I'm pretty confident I know good service. Discovered Clean Slate (and Terryn specifically) recently. I've enjoyed two "express" 30-minute massages by Genny. She worked on my sore areas with perfect pressure. Before my second visit, the gal at the desk offered me an "add on" service which was exactly what I was thinking. The hot stones on my feet was just what this tired teacher needed! Clean Slate definitely delivered in terms of cleanliness and friendliness. The establishment was very clean, which is always a relief when you're getting up close and personal in an intimate region. Kudos to the diligent staff who maintained the salon's condition! Speaking of the staff, they were undeniably friendly. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and helpful instructions. Lastly, the pricing is competitive compared to what I was paying in Austin. Now to the waxing. My appointment was for an "extended bikini." The technician was friendly, personable, and undeniably quick. She confirmed the areas I wanted waxed and stuck to them. One slight hiccup lies in the symmetry and some *ahem* strays. But before I could even point them out, the technician was packing up shop and heading out the door. Off to take care of the next patron, I presume. For those who prefer to go all the way and embrace the Brazilian style of waxing, this place might hit the spot. Afterall, removing every last bit of hair seems pretty straightforward. But, if you're in need of some shaping I am not sure they can deliver. This definitely seems like a spot that is looking to zip folks in and out. I might go back if I am pressed for time or opting for a Brazilian. My first time coming here and very impressed by the friendliness and kindness from everyone working here. I called originally to ask if they do walk-ins cause this very was last second. They were able to accommodate me from the get-go even myself being 5 minutes late. I was checked in by Katherine whomst I spoke to over the phone, she had a great voice and the tone of her voice made it really reassuring when I made a follow-up call about being a little late. Katherine was able to reassure me. Sierra did my eyebrow service and was very welcoming and made great conversation. It felt like my waxing went by painlessly and quick, She is amazing at what she does and made me feel comfortable conversating with her and boom in an instant it felt like my eyebrows were from unibrow to on FLEEEEK. I wanted to give some time to see how this healed and mentally build up before I posted this review. After my final experience with Clean Slate Waxing in Georgetown, I was left scabbed, scarred, and traumatized. I received a Sensi peel on March 6th, 2023. My esthetician was Courtney Rae. Courtney is....interesting. She took over my services after my previous esthetician left. I don't know how to explain her every other than chaotic. She talks very fast and a lot. I don't have an issue with that. However, I did have some weird vibes and feelings about her and trusting her. She did a good job with my Brazilian wax, brow wax and lamination. I decided to book a sensi peel with her. I had it before and it was wonderful, so I was looking forward to this. See photos for full details of what happened during the peel and at checkout/aftercare instructions. Due to character limit, I can't post it all here. When I woke up the next day and looked in the mirror, I panicked. It looked like I had a chemical burn. It hurt so much. This was not the scab I expected. My boyfriend and I went back to clean slate. I spoke to the girls at the front desk and they called the owner, Marilyn. They put me on the phone with her. I was on the phone with her for 20 minutes. Nowhere in that conversation was an apology or an offer of a refund. I didn't understand why the scab covered such a large area, especially since the pustule was round and in a small place. I was told that it happened because of the extraction being done and the skin reacting the the peel, and because the bacteria from the pimple spilled onto the skin cause the peel to overreact. If Courtney thought that was a possibility, she shouldn't have extracted it. I had an important week upcoming and was going to be in front of a lot of people, including members of our corporate team. This was not the time to go through this. I had a breakdown in the lobby while I was speaking to Marilyn. She texted Courtney and was told that it wouldn't scar. Put neosporin on it and avoid the sun. There was no recommendation to go to the doctor. Marilyn asked if I got the aftercare kit. I told her I didn't and that Courtney said it was for the No peel peel. I thought that's what I got last time since I got the kit. Marilyn looked it up and saw that I did get a sensi peel and should have received an aftercare kit. I think this shows you that Courtney doesn't care and has no attention to detail. She doesn't know what goes with what, or even look at client's previous records. If she did, she would know all this. I don't know where the 10 years of experience is. Marilyn stated that they will give me an aftercare kit at no charge (which I should have received in the first place) and then call me later. The extent of an apology was "do you feel better talking to me? I feel bad that this happened and that you're crying." No apology. No refund. The peel was $130 and I tipped $26. I went to my dermatologist the next day to get it looked at. Immediately, she said that it was infected and prescribed me antibiotics. She then told me that it would be a scar. I then had another breakdown. She had me meet with the medical esthetician that works at her office. I showed her the aftercare instructions that were given to me and she was shocked. She told me absolutely do not follow those instructions. She was also shocked that she had me book a facial a week after a peel. I paid $79 for the appointment, $20 for the meds, and then I prepaid the initial treatment plan to fade the scar with the esthetician, which was another $400. It'll be more as we continue to treat. Marilyn did call me throughout the week, but I sent those calls to voicemail. I decided my peace was worth more thank speaking to her. The scab healed, but I now have a red mark with added texture on my face. I am self conscious about my skin and now I have this. The emotional distress this caused me is awful. I have severe depression, PTSD, and anxiety already. This triggered my anxiety to where I had 2 panic attacks. I haven't had a panic attack in 4 years. I had to go to my therapist to help. That was another $250. I am now traumatized from this experience. I can't look in the mirror without seeing that scar and it makes me emotional every time. I consulted with an attorney, (another $200) but due to their waiver, I couldn't sue, even though the attorney agreed that this was absolute gross negligence and incompetence. He recommended to file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division through the Texas Attorney General's office. I did, and they escalated it the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation. I will no longer give Clean Slate business. I am traumatized. I am out over $1000 because of this salon and Courtney Rae. read more

So far I've only gone for pedicures but believe me when I say this is not your typical one of 30 sitting there with no human interaction. There are only 2 pedi stations inside its own room and 2 ladies that do pedicures. That's it. Best pedi experience in my 12 years in Austin! Most definitely will be back. (Oh and there are only 2 mani stations inside the same room...again great to not feel like you're being rushed in and out). read more

This is the best spa in Georgetown! They provide great manicures and pedicures using only top quality products. Your in a room with only one or two customers at a time. Blanca did a truly amazing pedicure for me today. All the employees ware masks. They also have a full menu of other spa services. Iv treated myself to a variety of things. Their aesthetician are so professional. You feel like you are important to them and they are glad your there. This attitude starts with the owner and goes through the company. I wanted to love this place, I live 3 minutes away. This is a speed waxing establishment like EWC. I went in to have my stomach waxed and a brazilian. Both were quite disappointing. Their brazilian includes your back side but I was left with hair in between my cheeks, about half (if not more) of what I went in with. The Brazilian left some strays behind which are usually picked up after with finishing touches but not here. I expected for the stomach to go up to around where a sports bra would sit but was left with peach fuzz 2.5 inches lower. The speed of the waxing definitely affected the pain level in my opinion. That or the way the strips were pulled off. Regardless, I do not see myself coming back for their waxing services. I will make the drive from GT to Cedar Park to another business. read more

I wasn't upset because I have heard such great things about this place, to work here you must have plenty of experience. Paula was so sweet and caring, she's all about lifting people up and making their experience as pleasant as it can be. She did the quickest, cleanest Brazilian I have ever received. If you are looking around and searching for someone who is HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL AND PROFICIENT, book with Paula . So glad I found a new esthetician in Georgetown, thank you Paula. Georgetown Location: The massage services was great; however, having a high turnover of front desk staff caused a lot of confusion with scheduling the correct appointments, charging the correct amount, other issues. What bothered me most is the unapologetic attitude. I was under a membership contract, which means my services were the same each month. But for 4 consecutive months. There were issues created by the same staff. I decided to cancel my membership contract. After receiving a great relaxing massage and then get to the front desk to check out and go through the same madness took away my relaxed peaceful mood. Hopefully the owner will be more in tuned to what's occurring at both locations. read more

CONS- Disappointed they didn't have the nail color shade that I wanted, which they do offer but it was out of stock. I am thrilled to have this place in GTX! We have needed Marilyn and her team so badly. I found out about their spot because I used to check Yelp every few weeks for a wax lounge/spa closer in than Cedar Park or North Austin. Then one day: There it was! Be careful booking online services/massages. The online booking never went through on my end so I went about my day to see at 10pm that night I was charged for the massage.
