Xenia is a miracle worker (and incredibly sweet on top of that)! I booked an appointment online and came in with a very unflattering wolfman hybrid haircut. She somehow managed to transform my hair into a cut I love, while taking off as little length as possible. She was incredibly thorough in discussing and explaining the options to get what I desired in my haircut. Xenia also gave me one of the best blowout & styles I've ever had. I got my hair done over the weekend. I googled and yelped for different locations near my area that have decent reviews. I found this Salon. I'm writing this review because its really hard to find a good salon to go to and takes a lot trail and errors and I am pissed off! Don't let this be your trial. Go somewhere else. I requested that I get long layers added to my hair as my hair was long and pretty even all around. I was sitting in the chair for over 2 hours. I am not going to lie. I have A LOT of hair and it is long. When I scheduled it was for 12:30 but they saw a note of me having a lot of hair so she asked I come in at 12 instead. Not a problem. I left at almost 2:30 for a haircut. I was getting a little concerned for the length of time that I was sitting in the chair and also when I noticed her cutting almost 5 inches of hair. I didn't say anything because I assumed that she was creating layers and volume in my hair. The people in the Salon were looking and I was getting nervous because they were trying to not make eye contact but I could see that they were noticing I was in the chair for a LONG time and also she was just cutting away. She even said '"Wow we cut so much and doesn't even feel like it". After cutting for hours She blow dried my hair and styled it and it looked good with the way she blow dried. I was not noticing any issues because the blow dry had waves in it and curved. I looked at it and didn't notice the chopped pieces because of the blow-dry style and was ready to go after sitting for over 2 hours. When the wave of the blow dry was going away, I noticed that the front of my hair was really choppy and I washed my hair and I am PISSED! She botched my freaking hair. I see all the hair of what she was chopping off. I truly feel that she had no idea what she was doing. She said she was texting her friend that recently did a haircut for layers but now I think she was asking how the heck she does it. Now that I see my hair and look back at the whole situation, I was extremely disrespected. She knew my haircut was messed up and tried to hide it with blow drying it with a style (blow out). I literally have short hair in the front like a longer bob and long hair in the back. If she was doing my hair and felt that this was out of her scope she should have respectfully bowed out and let me know. Instead she chopped my hair to try and fix her mistakes. It was a disrespect and lack of care for someone's hair. But just knowing that this could have been prevented and I even would have paid more for someone else or even not have gotten my hair done at all, and then you upcharge me for a messed up haircut. Its shocking. The lack of honesty and using me a Guinea pig. It's the lack of being honest, lack of accountability, and lack of care for someone's hair, how could anyone trust anyone of you with their hair if you just standby while someone is doing this. Not the owner, not a stylist, no one stepped in. They saw how she was cutting my hair and how long I was in the chair for a layer haircut. This is a hair salon so I'm expecting that the service that comes with going to hair salon is provided or at least told me that this hair stylist truly doesn't have experience for what you want, another does but it will be at a higher price. I'm not going to a salon to be a test subject for someone, If she didn't know how to layer she should have told me. I would have been like thank you and rescheduled or went somewhere else! It hard to think other stylists don't know how a layer cut is done and see her doing it wrong. But you all sat around while she chopped and botched my hair for a 2+ hour layered haircut. If they don't see that wrong then the integrity for the Salon is gone. Obviously, you guys didn't expect me to comeback anyway with the way you let me walk out unknowing. Disgusting. And that is exactly why I am writing this review. I posted pics so you can see for yourself, this was my experience I hope others get a better one. I was kind, respectful and tipped. I went in and she was completely honest with me about my hair and talked me out of putting the tape-in extensions back into my hair after the glue had damaged significantly. This was my first time at the salon and needed help ASAP. She squeezed me in that day to discuss next steps on my hair. I decided to try the hand-tied extensions to exclude glue from my hair. She ordered my extensions and set up an appointment. She did a partial highlight, cut, and took her time adding in the extensions perfectly. I had to go back for a re-do!! I have ALWAYS had my hair flat ironed smooth and straight by many salons that knew what there doing!! From salons in L.A., Las Vegas, Chicago, and Miami! Pricing across the board!! My hair ALWAYS ended up looking just as beautiful as Demi Moore's straight hair or Kardashians hair, when her hair was flat ironed!! This is my new go to salon after someone recommended Katie Hegar to me. Katie H is literally the best! She did an awesome job on my bayalage/foilayage. Since I'm a picky person it's really hard, I've never left a salon feeling satisfied before. BUT KATIE H changed everything. She was really knowledgeable about her color technique & knew exactly what I wanted when I showed her a picture. Bayalage is what I wanted but in the past it wasn't done right. So again I gave it a try, KATIE H recommended to add the foilayage to give it a little contrast. BOOM! Absolutely what I wanted and it was really affordable. Most places would have definitely over charged with the amount of time she spent on me. They are closed on Monday I believe & I'm thankful she happened to have an availability open that day. I had read decent Yelp reviews so I decided to walk-in. I received the best haircut I've had in years! I have fine, thin hair that was a medium to long length, and it was time to cut it off. I had some funky ideas. Brenda was polite but firm in rejecting some of those ideas, and I am so thankful she was. I love my "new" hair! My response I'd like to hear this call too. I know she quoted me a overalls price, well under what I paid. Yes the lady went over things with me but at that point I ran out of time. Yes she explained the fade but not after a couple days should that of happened. I feel there was a total lack of communication and that happens but the fact no one could take responsibility and or apologize it rude especially with what I paid. was really disappointed I had called in advance about extensions and quoted a price overall. I get there and meet a nice young lady who is doing my hair to find out the price is over double what I was quoted. I was so frustrated but I had a date. She was not understanding to the situation at all and was not will to budge on price even a penny. I explained to her the receptionist gave me a wrong price and she argued with me that she didn't. I expressed that she should talk to the girl about not giving prices over the phone and she could have cared less. I decided to go forward and she died blond strands a pink-purple color. They turned out beautiful for the first 48 hours. Within two days the color had faded almost back to the blond. I think this place overcharged me and did not care. I would have been ok with it all had she actually acted like she cared. They do give great head massages though!! I wanted to give them another shot bringing my own hair in and still the over charge the fee to put tape ins in. This review is specifically for 2 stylists, Katie Heger and Kady Simmons. My family recently moved to the Austin area from Scottsdale, AZ. It's not easy to find "your people" and finding an exceptional hair stylist is both scary & daunting. No one wants a bad hair experience! My hair is thick/ashy dark blond base and I need my gray roots colored every 3 weeks with highlights every third appointment. Katie sounded great to me. I called to make an appointment w/Katie & also asked who would be best for my son's haircut (he's EXTREMELY PICKY and has thick & wavy hair), Kady Simmons was recommended.
