This place is most definitely not a 4.5 star. Pretty convinced they write their own reviews. I went in for a French gel manicure and didn't even get that. Cuticles weren't clipped even though he argued with me that they were and he most definitely did not clip them. All he did was file and buff. The tips aren't even and look very messy. Didn't get the lotion massage at the end. He says "i don't recommend it after cutting the cuticle." Which he didn't do. Still paid full price for a file and paint that i could've done myself. Beyond upset and never coming here again. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

The salon itself is extremely clean, they've always kept their chair remotes in plastic, (long before Covid 19), their basins are immediately emptied and sanitized. The restrooms are spotless. The decor is very nice. We have never felt rushed, and always treated with the utmost respect. I have been going to Nails, Spa & Threading for 4 years and have always had a great experience. The owners, Richard and Christine are very customer service oriented and they aim to please every client. The shop is always spotless and I am confident in their sterilization procedures. When they reopened after the COVID-19 shutdown, the shop was rearranged and they enforced CDC guidelines such as all customers 6' apart, masks required upon entering, temps taken and plexiglass dividers installed at stations. Update: Went back for more services and came out incredibly happy. I brought my mother-in-law who was in town visiting, and she really enjoyed the experience. When I walked in, Tiffany greeted me by name like an old friend, and it had been 2 months since my first visit with them. Lisa did my pedi and my mother-in-law's eyebrow/lip wax. Kim did the mani/pedi for my mother-in-law. Both were very pleasant to talk to and did a great job. I had my nails & eyebrows done today and they are beautiful, as always! I really enjoy my visits to the Salon. Everyone is so nice and Richard makes me laugh so hard. There have been times he would be working on my nails when someone walks in. He will lean over and ask what they need? They don't have a receptionist so he has to talk above the noise. Everyone is working on a client and he needs to know what the customer wants so he can tell them how long it will be. I always walk away with beautiful nails and Christine does a fantastic job on my brows. I read a review that portrayed Richard as rude. I have never seen ANYONE be rude to a customer in the years I have gone to this salon. I guess there are some people in the world who are never happy. Been here 3-4 times now. Can't decide what is worse. Their product/work or their personality. The first time I went their sisters were in from California and they were upbeat and friendly and did a great job on my nails. Ever since then they don't speak to you and god forbid they ask you if you'd like a water. Oh if you are a regular they are nice as can be. Not so much for me. My nails are constantly lumpy, crack and gel peels off within days. I'm not one to leave reviews good or bad. However, I visited this nail salon due to their excellent reviews. I have to post to prevent someone else from coming to this place. I went in and asked how much they charge for dip powder nails. The man mentioned $40 for no tip and $50 for tip. I sat down for the removal process. He used a nail to remove my dip powder nails. A nail! Like the ones they usually use to do manicures. I'm not new to dip powder so I know there's a soaking process involved. The main reason for getting the powder is to keep your nails healthier. Ripping the nails with a fake nail is doing nothing but harm. I've had them on for 5 days and they are chipping, cracked and broken. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place plus most places charge $30/35 for the dip powder and lasts much longer. read more

We are in town for a wedding this weekend so I looked up salons near the Sheraton, this one seemed to have some good reviews so we decided to give it a try. After having my pedicure there I felt the need to leave my recommendation as well. At first I had a younger nail tech working on me, and we did have an issue where she accidentally snipped too much on my cuticle and I flinched. Immediately the owner came by and apologized and replaced her with another technician. I explained that I have very thin cuticles and it happens often to me without any fault of theirs, so I wasn't upset at all since it was an accident. He insisted that a more experienced tech complete the pedicure. I was amazed at how concerned they were and the professionalism they showed me during my visit. They treated the small tiny cut with antiseptic drops and worked with ease around that toe the rest of the time I was there. The owner kept myself and my friend involved in conversations while we were there and everyone was so friendly and upbeat. My toes look great and she was able to match a color I got at a different salon a week back. Great work by both ladies. You can't always prevent having an incident occur but it's the way a business handles such things that shows their integrity. I highly recommend this salon to anyone in the Georgetown area or visiting. I would definitely come back if I was ever here again. read more

Wow, I love this place! Christina keeps my eyebrows tidy and attractive. I go to this salon once a month for a eyebrow waxing or threading and it's always such a pleasure to come out of the spa with great looking eyebrows. If you haven't ever tried 'threading' I strongly recommend it. There is a minimum amount of pain as Christina works her magic with two threads that remove many hairs at once -- like simultaneous quick plucks of the brow hairs -- and the whole process is over and done in less than 8-10 minutes. No down time either, the skin around the brows is slightly red for a few minutes but by the time you get to work or to the grocery, it's good as new. As with waxing, threading can be done on all the hairy parts of your body that you want to make smooth and bump-free. The spa also does excellent manicures and pedicures; all at reasonable prices. First time here because we live out of town. They were great! Helped me and my sister pick out colors for my moms wedding!

I decided to try a new nail place yesterday and now regret my decision. I've had SNS nails before, and the owner explained the process to me after I selected my color. My nail tech's name was Kim, or at least this is what what the license said at the table. I will say the picture did did not match the person seated in front of me. My nails weren't soaked in water to soften my cuticles before the process started. It was just straight to the acetone and the nail dremel. The owner explained you had to use it to get the remaining gel off and to roughen the nail bed. The whole process was a bit rougher than expected. Nothing was ever taken out of a sealed bag. She used a make-up brush to clean the nails after she roughened them up. After the SNS was applied, she took out the gold dremel piece and proceeded to take off my cuticles while she took off the excess SNS. It was painful. There was/is still excess SNS product all over my cuticles and fingers. When I asked about it, The lady next to Kim replied, "It will come off when you wash your hands a lot." Needless to say I will never go back. I'm left with a mess on my hands and cuticles that hurt. The other two nail techs seemed to know what they were doing. Hopefully it was just an off day for "Kim". I tried to use my credit card because I saw another client use one, and was asked to pay in cash, so I did. I even left Kim with a nice tip. I'm hoping they don't start lifting. Don't waste your money. The pictures are of my hands after washing them at least 5 times. read more
