Just left from getting my brows done. This has been my go-to eyebrow threading spot since 2017. Before the pandemic, I'm pretty sure the price was $8 for eyebrows but now it's $10. No biggie for me though. I stick to one person, even if there's someone else available immediately (just because I don't like everybody on my brows). I honestly don't remember the lady's name who does my brows (I'll ask next time for sure) but she's great! It's super quick, she does exactly what I ask for (just clean up/keep my arch) and gives you a hand held mirror to check if you like it. I've also seen others ask if she could fix something after looking in the mirror, and she always goes back in and fixes it with no problem. They always wear gloves and are masked, which is great given the pandemic. Sometimes they'll have you sign your name in but other times they don't. It's located in HEB by the way! read more

When I was pregnant, I didn't feel comfortable with a lady touching my belly. It was beyond uncomfortable. Even now, after giving birth, I don't feel comfortable with the same lady talking about my child. I prefer to keep our relationship strictly professional rather than becoming friends. I don't like to share my personal life, and at the very least, I wish she would show me some respect. When I give her a bad tip, it's because she deserves it for looking at the screen and being curious about how much I, as a customer, tip her. As a cosmetologist myself, I rarely receive bad tips, but that doesn't affect how I treat my clients. It's important to keep work and personal life separate. If you're not able to do that, then you deserve a negative 0-star rating. read more

This is my second time coming in since they reopened because of COVID. I used to live around the corner for years now I moved 45 minutes away. I still ONLY get my brows done here. They have very sanitary protocols in place for COVID and sanitize the chairs, counters, registers, change gloves before taking the next. Love these ladies!!! I used to go the Henna Brow place in Lakeline mall til I found out about this place on my HEB excursions up north by Lakeline. For $8 and with $2 tip, I come in at $10 which is what it typically costs at Lakeline Mall to get my eyebrows threaded. I really like the quick and clean job the ladies do on my brows. You hold your skin tight for them to work, they clean up the areas of stray hairs, trim if some of the hairs are long, and then use some form of cleaner to wipe away the excess hairs that fell in your face. Beautician provides you a hand mirror to check out work, and make sure everything looks good, you pay, sometimes even write down on their clipboard your name, service provided and cost, and you're done! Then you can roll around HEB sipping wine and eating samples aimlessly doing some grocery shopping if you're like me. Only thing I'd change is folks who shop here can see you get your eyebrows did but hey, for $8, I'll deal with it. read more

The past few time was great. I had different stylist but niva has to be one of the worse. She had 3 people in front of me and she wasn't rushing them. I give it a good 30-40 minutes. I lost count after 30 mins. When it was my turn. She was very welcoming at first and very talk a lot which it was great. But she was very rough with my eyebrows. She rush with my eyebrows. She said "ohh your not giving tip" and I said "no" and she roll her eyes at me. After shopping at the heb here . I came back to asked for niva named. But she paused and started to asked why. As much as I wanted to love threading because waxing hurts my skin too much.. she missed my main complaint area(s) and due to the poor lighting in her studio my own self couldn't even tell when she gave me the mirror to inspect afterwards :( She was very sweet though and explained I could use castor oil to help thicken my brows (one grows in lighter NO idea why, lol) though my skin is sensitive so I think it would make me break out so I'm considering other oils. This review is solely for the Thursday gal who doesn't know how to thread. I've been growing my brows out for 2 months and asked for her to just clean them up and keep them thick. She over threaded the heck out of my brows and then went to town on the tweezers! She left a hole in my super thin brows as well and tried to fix with a brush! I will be filling my brows in with a pencil for the next couple weeks. They are uneven as well. She never charged me and felt bad that she didn't listen to my simple request.. She got carried away.. And she asked me a trillion times to thread my lip! Take no for an answer! I am Super unhappy and will not be back to this location. Even though the gal that works here on other days is super good. I live too damn far to drive all this way to get stuck with this lady again. She tweezed against the hair growth not with the hair growth too. I'm an esthetician and was trained to always tweeze in the direction the hair grows, for pain purposes and not to damage the follicles causing ingrown hairs. I don't expect them to go to school and get a complete skin care license but at least know the basics. I appreciate their skills and talent. My brows are jacked! Must put up car mirror and stop looking at them before I start driving like a maniac on the way home. Just in time for Valentine's Day! I was looking for an affordable threading place and stumbled across Mona Lisa inside my fave HEB (which is 25 mins out of the way but totally worth it). It is located in front of the cash registers near the beauty area, by the front doors- hopefully that helps someone! It was quiet when I walked in and there was no wait. The lady that threaded me was wonderful, quiet and straight to the point. The thread she used was a high quality which made the experience a whole lot less painful. I had my whole face threaded which includes eyebrows, lip, chin, neck, cheeks and forehead for $28 - that's a steal! I will be back! read more

I use to go to this place for threading since last one and half year. Pros : convenient location, results depends on the day sometimes good, sometimes just acceptable. cons : 1) The lady on Thu/Fri/Sat schedule does not do threading smoothly so its pretty painful. 2) They completely ignore your requirements. When you are telling her what you want, the lady would say okey okey sit sit. and then do whatever she wants to and at then end when you stay that i wanted my eyebrows this way. Then she would say its not possible. but why did not you say it in the start. 3) Try reasoning with her and feel the waves of foul mouth. I saw it twice. Once when i went there with my very well behaved kids. They picked up exactly 2 flyers from outside and were playing with that quietly until i was getting my threading done. She got mad at my kids and said we pay for these flyers and you are wasting them. Really just for 2 flyers when i am a fine tipper. All I feel is she could have said that little nicely. and i would have added something to the tip to cover the cost. And btw the white customer just before me brought some kids who used 7-8 flyers and she did not say a word to them. 4) Another incident when she again ignored my requests and when I said nicely she said its wasnt possible, i said i always do it in that way, and you do it that way for me, why you did not do it today. She said "talk in hindi" so that american customers dont understand. I started talking in hindi but man she would never accept her fault and behaves real bad. obviously there are so many places here for threading that i found another good quickly. but seriously they need to work read hard on their customer service. read more

I never know what my eyebrows are going to look like after I go in. It's like winning the lotto sometimes you win but mostly you don't. The few times they have been done well is the only reason I still go here because every time I keep hoping that day is going to be the day I win and they look good. Eyebrows are the windows to a woman's face. After this last visit one eyebrow was bigger than the other eyebrow. I only give 3 stars now because I have taken time to cool down since you messed my eyebrow. About a month or so ago they told me that she was no longer in Texas and did not know when or if she would return. So with great hesitation I allowed them to do my brows in Durgas absence. Bad mistake! At first they look decent but after a few more visits my brows got thinner and thinner then the last straw was they were seriously uneven! I mean seriously uneven! When I asked about my uneven brows I was basically told that they were in-fact even despite what I was seeing in the mirror. Eyebrow shaping is an art and the woman who was there definitely has no clue what symmetry is, much less art. First of all she threaded half of my eyebrows and left them so thin (almost sharpie looking) when I have thick eyebrows. Then she left them looking uneven and when I told her she kept saying they looked the same. There are missing patches, on my eyebrows! I also asked her to thread my upper lip and forehead and couldn't even do that right either. There were patches of hair still that I had to remove with tweezers. Horrible experience here. I will have to fill them in until I go to Dallas. Sadly, I haven't been able to find a decent threading salon in North Austin. read more

I have stopped into location twice. Each time I've gotten beautifully threaded brows. Now, I won't lie to you, threading hurts. However, there is no way I could get the sort of shaping with waxing that I can with threading. The best thing is the price. For getting my lip and brows waxed it cost a whopping $13.00. This was the worst eyebrow threading experience I've ever had. The lady was about to start my eyebrows and didn't ask how I wanted it done so I stopped her and told her how I wanted it. Needless to say telling her was pointless. My eyebrows are super thin (I wanted them thick) and they aren't even. One side has a slight arch, the other side is more round.
