On 12/22 one nail on my right hand began to chip and within the next few days two more nails were chipped and on 12/30 when another nail began peeling, I returned to the shop and respectfully asked them to redo the three chipped/peeling nails. I brought to his attention a red spot on my nail, which he then confirmed it was HIS BLOOD from a cut on his finger. He said it was fine and continued to apply the top coat. After arguing with him and the nearby mail tech as to why I needed him to redo my nail, he finally did it- Only to file the shit out of my finger, cutting me and causing me to bleed. I asked for marble nails and I got this. I asked again halfway through and he said this is better. I was completely rushed, I understand they were busy but didn't let me even have a minute picking a color. I wanted a gel manicure and I was in and out in 20 mins. (Picture what I got VS what I wanted) It was my first time and I don't think I'll be going back he was so rushed doing my nails I felt so much anxiety when it was suppose to be a time to relax. I paid $56 for this? So embarrassing. I'm sorry but I didn't want this, I was vocal about it and still left with this. May I also mention that I didn't want the 15 second violent back rub? I called ahead and booked two Grand Lux Pedi's. When we arrived I was greeted by name. They showed us where to pick out our color and we're seated right away. The restrooms were clean and had nice decor. The overall atmosphere was relaxing and chic. Thanh and Julie were so sweet and kind. Our pedicures were amazing and very relaxing. Right when we were seated they offered us our complimentary drinks and popcorn from the menu provided, which we gladly accepted. The Grand Lux Pedi is the one you want, pamper yourself and get the works. This place is worth it; for the people, the atmosphere and all of their services. Couldn't be happier. My mom and I ended up here Sunday night because they're open an hour later than almost all of the shops in our area. Lucky for us, the experience was wonderful and this is where I'll continue to come from now on! As time has gone on and I've gone here more, I'm not as impressed as I was when they first opened. I have taken several of my family here for pedicures. Two people have been cut on two separate occasions. They rush through it and dont do a very good job. I came here for a full set with a friend and the next day one of the nails already popped off. She went back and they redid all of them which was nice but the following day, it popped off again. There are a few good techs there that I'll go to for my toes but if they are busy, I'm leaving. I went here yesterday with my friend for the first time and we had a really good experience. When we first walked in they were very helpful in answering our questions because we had specific questions about the designs we wanted and if they could do it and etc. they didn't have a gold strip for the design that my friend wanted so she opted for her backup. Both of our nails turned out pretty and I personally really like Nikki who did my nails. She was cool and we had a nice conversation. She didn't make my nails thick which I don't like and she didn't give me a hard time about cutting them short. I usually wear them long but wanted to switch it up for a bit. The drinks were delicious. I had a blue Hawaiian and a mimosa which both were good. We were Alonso offered some popcorn which was a plus because I was so hungry. Our appointment was at 5:30 and we were the last two clients to leave after 7:30. Also, it was a plus that they never made us feel rushed. I will definitely go back again and make an appointment with Nikki for my nails. The pedicure was nice and relaxing. I think the ones outside of the basic are a bit pricey for what is done. I think I will opt for the basic pedicure next time. Everyone was super friendly! I would highly recommend when you want to pamper yourself a bit. They are on my list of places to go for now on! I went in for a pedi & a new acrylic set. I had a previous acrylic set on and I asked for a sock off. She socked off ONE nail only and she proceeded to take my nails off with another nail. It was very painful and uncomfortable. She did not leave my nails how I wanted them, I kept letting her know they weren't like the picture but she kept insisting it was. During my pedi, the lady asked me if I wanted flowers on my toes, I kept letting her know I didn't want them and she kept insistin. she ended up doing them and then charged me for it. I made it clear I was trying to strengthen and grow out my natural nails (length of my solar nails) and wanted the removal to be VERY general on my real nails. I have been here many times and had good service but today I did not want to be upsold on my service and received the worst manicure I have ever received!! Kelly used the drill on my removal and burned me several times!! She did not try to shape my nails, or care how thin she drilled, or clean up the nail polish after application in any way!! I got a dip manicure and they were lumpy right down to the cuticle so they lifted and my nails would get stuck in my hair I called and explained and asked if I could get something not as thick like a coat of acrylic with gel on top, they told me it was impossible it wouldn't last. I tried to make an appointment because I wanted a discount for my jacked up nails BUT it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I went somewhere else and got what I wanted.
