I would not recommend this company based on who they hired as a driver. It seems logical that a company would want those they hire to be good representatives of their company. Michael was a very poor example of quality service, acting completely unprofessionally by whinning, complaining and attempting to strong arm me into accomodating his delivery schedule which, if I could have, I would have been glad to. But I could not do it. Additionally upon delivery, one small table had been broken, other items are missing, including a large, expensive dehumidifier and several other office supplies. Michael, the driver also instructed his crew NOT to unpack several of the items that were packed by the carrier. read more

I researched 4 moving companies and then a friend's son told me about Lile. Lile moved him and his family from WA to TX and he was very happy with their move. Oh boy, where do I even start with this one..... This whole company is an absolute train wreck. They will lie, blame, and otherwise put the fault on anyone but themselves. Please read this review and many of the others where Lile has screwed over their customers and extorted them for additional money in the moving process. From the estimation process through to delivery, we had nothing but issues. At first David came across as a nice genuine human. I had no idea that this was a con to get my shipment to a price I would agree to with the knowledge that he would change our shipment type to an unbounded weight shipment and then charge us nearly $1000 more ONE DAY before delivery. In the NINE DAYS that they had our shipment, they did not once contact this driver for an update. - We had two boxes and a TV stolen from the truck. The driver and his claims specialist notified us. Lile had no idea until I told them two days prior to delivery. They at no point followed up on this shipment, but they were right there ready to collect after doing nothing on their end. - Lile did not reach out to get the weight ticket from the driver until the day before delivery. At this point, they extorted me for an additional $1000 on what was supposed to be a bounded weight shipment. I refused, and they threatened to put my things in storage and said I would incur thousands in storage fees until I agreed to pay or they would not release my items for delivery. - When I clarified the weight discrepancy and issues we encountered with William Tavita, the "branch manager", he blamed me and said that we loaded additional items onto the truck. We had three additional items that I sent to David after the estimation, and he was aware that those would be loaded but add negligible weight. - David did an extremely poor estimate and was 700 pounds off on the weight of the shipment. Not that it matters -- The shipment was supposed to be bounded, but these shady people changed it. Even the driver was shocked that the weight difference was this much. - Lile tried to blame the driver for communication issues and that's why they waited until the day before to tell us it would be $1000 more. Natalie claimed that the driver was busy loading/unloading shipments and couldn't answer his phone. I talked to the driver. They didn't try to contact him at all. During this whole process, they blamed me and blamed the driver whilst not doing their due diligence as the company overseeing this move. Lile is, at its core, a bait-and-switch operation. They will lie to get you to sign the agreement at a price that you are okay with and then find ways to change that agreement that ends up costing you significantly more money. If you don't believe me, read the rest of the reviews. I wish that we had before using this company. I also want to give a shoutout to Rick, the driver. He doesn't work for Lile directly. He just works with them as an independent driver for North American Van Lines. The guy is awesome, and I truly appreciate his thoroughness and candidness throughout this whole process. If we ever move again, we will most definitely be reaching out to him directly to see what we can work out. I can't recommend him enough. To William and the rest of the Lile office, you're scammers and should be ashamed of what you do to people. I truly hope you all go out of business, and I will be reporting all of you to North American Van Lines and the BBB. EDIT: First off, I want to thank you, Lori, for confirming what many of the negative reviews state here. Lile will twist words, fail to honor agreements, and otherwise do whatever they can to blame the customer to avoid taking accountability. I have documented evidence that Lile extorted an extra $1000 from me the day before my delivery. They are not "baseless" and "unfounded" when I have direct quotes from Natalie stating otherwise. Lile failed to disclose a difference in pricing until the day before delivery and then threatened to hold my items hostage if I didn't pay in full. They blamed the driver for not communicating, but the driver told me directly that Lile never contacted him. Notice how Lori left this part out. To address some things, I offered to pay extra because David mentioned a difference in weight would come out of his pocket. I tried to be kind when he acted like he would be the one taking the loss if our shipment was over. As for the storage area, I do admit to calling our patio area that in an email when I was disclosing the 2 patio chairs and 1 patio table to David; however an actual "storage area" does not exist. The only items shipped were those in the estimate + the extra 3 items I disclosed. Our actual weight still came out 700 lbs heavier. William tried to blame us and make claims that we loaded even more from this "area", but I have the inventory sheet proving otherwise. No wonder he's in so many negative reviews. Yikes. read more

The crew who came to my house on October 8 & 9 2023 were professional, organized and a pleasure to work with. They showed up on time, and went to work immediately. Bruce was a great lead and kept everyone on track. The guys who went to work on the garage were understanding when I realized I had not separated out my son's tool set and my 2 inch receiver hitch. They knew where to look and saved me from buying a new hitch and his tools. I would like to give a special call out to Torin Fogg. My girlfriend was on edge and when talking with Torin, he was very personable and listened to what she was saying which calmed her and put her at ease during a stressful situation. From our first encounter with Lile 4 yeasts ago when we packed up everything and headed out on the road for 4 years to when we decided to put some roots down again and had our belongings moved across country. We did a full pack & move across the country. In all, we had a good experience. The only thing that was disappointing was that I was in contact with my agent for weeks about finding ways to lower our quote. I was told the way to lower our quote would be to sell items or to do some of the packing ourselves. So before our move, I spent 2 hours driving to the Lile office to pick up all the requested boxes, and then I spent several days after that packing over half of the estimated boxes... However when it came to moving day, the packers ended up still packing nearly double the amount of boxes that were estimated. That meant that all my efforts just made the packers' jobs easier. We did not end up getting any money off of our final quote in the end. I would still hire Lile again, as the rest of the service/move and packing were 5 stars, but I wanted to share my experience as I did feel a little slighted, with respect to the quote. I interviewed and got quotes from three moving companies in the Puget Sound area. Their prices were similar but the personnel at Lile were, by far, the most professional and up front about costs and options. As part of the move, I took advantage of storage for two months between houses, allowing us to house shop without rushing a decision. The representatives with Lile guided me throughout this process. The two moving teams I worked at North American were very courteous and took excellent care of all our belongings. I highly recommend these folks for any residential move and would gladly work with them again. read more

TL:DR Go somewhere else, anywhere else. I have moved over a dozen times, full household moves, across the country in between states. My expectations are not high for moving and I always expect a few casualties. But this move with the Lile was the worst, which is odd because it was a move from one room in the house to the other in preparation for a remodel, no truck involved. The only high point was the sales guy, Dave, who came out in person and made an estimate. Based on Dave we gave the job to Lile. They were not the lowest bidder but they were women owned. Many mistakes. Some small but annoying, like we asked them to keep the path to our home security system center clear and they jammed it up with 10 ft of boxes. Two refrigerators were involved in the move, including contents. We just found a box of refrigerator contents in a heated room, the smell of rotting eggs brought our nose to it. It was in a box labeled refrigerator contents. Worst of all the two refrigerators were severely damaged, one a late model high-end LG worth at least $4K. They did not take measurements, they did not care to remove handles, they did not care to remove hangers from the wall, they just rammed it through our hallways putting big scratches in the door, a big scratch across the touch screen, and then banged it down the stairs damaging both the stairs and the compressor in the refrigerator. This late model high-end refrigerator is a complete write-off. And what did they offer us for that? $210!!! Like another reviewer said they hide behind the law saying they are restricted by law for making this right. Like if they gave me a discount off of the $5,000 cost for moving a few things from one room to another room and the garage the sheriff would bust down their place for illegally giving us a discount or something. Here we are moving high-end appliances in a high-end house and they damage the very appliance they were hired to move irrepairably, bash the hallways and stairways doing it, bash the front door, and hide behind $0.60 a pound liability. read more

DOES NOT HONOR VERBAL OR WRITTEN CONTRACTS If I could give Lile North American 0 stars, I would. I have used several moving companies throughout my life, but Lile North American's service was horrific. This all started in October 2021 when we decided to move from North Bend, WA to Nashville, TN. Our plan was to move to TN, live in an apartment for about 6-8 months until the house we were building would be complete. We needed our furniture and belongings moved out of our WA house, put in storage, and then delivered to TN when we were ready to move into our new home. David Pendergraft came to our WA home to give us a quote. He urged us to sign up with Lile soon to lock in the rates, as David mentioned that the rates will likely go up as summer approached. We mentioned that we didn't know exactly when our new house would be ready, but our best guess was somewhere between end of June to August of 2022. David said that by locking in the rates then, the only thing that would change is the storage days. Each storage day had a set rate, and that would just be multiplied by the number of days we needed. Our cost of moving out of our WA house and shipping everything to TN would stay the same--in that locked rate. David said that since we didn't know the exact timing of moving into our new home, that he'd put 6 months of storage on the contract (he had to list an end date but said the storage was open-ended). All we would need to do is call to extend the storage time frame and let Lile know about 3 weeks in advance of when we needed our items delivered to TN. Lile's rates were competitive with a few other companies and we signed the contract with them in November. Our plan was to have Lile show up on Monday, December 27th, given that our closing day was 12/28 and that Lile might need 1 day and a few extra hours to pack up all of our belongings. On 12/20, I noticed that snow was projected over Christmas and into the following week. I sent David a screenshot of the weather forecast, showing 6" of snow on 12/27 and 4" on 12/28 (as well as snow starting on Christmas). I wanted to doublecheck that the move could still go on as planned. We told Lile that we were 95% packed and could accommodate an earlier move if necessary. We were told that the move would be fine for Monday, 12/27. As predicted, we got a lot of snow as moving day approached. I got a call from Lile Manager Will Tavita on 12/27 that not one crew showed up that day due to the snow. The next morning (i.e. closing day), I got a call from Will saying that there was 1 crew that showed up and that we were a priority, but the 40 foot truck they were driving got stuck on Tiger Mountain. Instead of doing the safe route of taking I-405 and then I-90 to North Bend, the crew thought it would be easier to go up Highway 18. After a few hours, 2 people showed up (we were promised a crew of 4) with a smaller truck. A third crew member showed up a couple hours later with another small truck. As you can imagine, it was a nightmare working the home closing with the house not being ready due to the move. After a long day, the crew of 3 put everything that didn't fit in their small trucks into the garage, including outdoor furniture that had snow on top. The snow melted and the resulting water caused damage to some of our furniture and boxes on the ground. Nevertheless, after negotiating with the new homeowners of our house, we were able to get all of our items into storage the following day. Fast forward to June 2022... we realized that our new house in TN wasn't going to be ready until August. I called David up and let him know. He reiterated that the only difference in charges would be the extra storage days. David amended the original contract showing the extra storage days and a new delivery window in August. After both David and I signed the contract, the Lile office reached out saying that the contract was not valid because moving charges had gone up by over $10K and the contract in fine print said prices are good through 6 months after the start of the contract. If we wanted to have our items moved, we would have to sign a new contract and pay the extra cost. This was the first time anyone from Lile had ever mentioned the limit on pricing. I talked with Will and he said that none of what David told me mattered, and he would not honor the revised contract. As the facts show, Lile negotiated in bad faith and did not display the type of trust and integrity that you want from any company. In addition to holding our belongings hostage, Lile was dishonest from the beginning in order to get a sale. You'll notice with other negative reviews, Lile usually responds by blaming the customer--a big sign of the type of business they are. If you're looking to move locally or to another state, I highly recommend using another company--one that will be honest with you and keep their commitments. read more

Tl;dr -- this company has serious communication struggles, from the dispatchers to the movers. Would not recommend. Extremely poor experience. Crew was not informed that they were scheduled to pack my belongs, and showed up without any packing supplies. Additional crew member was then dispatched to deliver supplies (2 hrs later), but showed up with nothing but boxes (no packing paper, tape, etc) and then drove all the way back to their warehouse to get some, eventually returning 3 hrs later (now FIVE HOURS after their initial arrival). I had to push back an important work event due to this inexcusable delay. Once supplies were available, the crew did an okay job. I think they were just flustered by the series of mishaps, but I had to repeat simple instructions (e.g., to put liquids in a specific box and treat specific, clearly labeled items with care) multiple times. Most boxes were packed well, but I definitely watched several boxes get things just chucked into them. The crate itself was loaded in a way that seemed a bit haphazard (e.g., my bicycle was literally just thrown on top of the stack with nothing to secure it). I got the impression that this crew is usually pretty competent, and they were nice guys, but this particular job did NOT go well. read more

We moved from Washington state to Nevada state. Overall, move was good. Stuff arrived on time that is within 10 days. Some of the furniture was broken. I filed the claim and they processed it and refund the amount to repair the wooden chairs. Their quote was not too low nor too high. They are in the middle. I still think there is a room for improvement but considering the horror stories of moving these days, my move was satisfactory. read more

From start to finish, Lile was a disappointment. I would recommend almost any other moving service over theirs. Moving across the country is already a stressful thing to do. When we relocated last summer, Lile managed to make the whole process even worse. For instance, they: -Provided us with the wrong contract, despite what we'd verbally agreed upon -Remained out of contact so we couldn't rectify the contract -Packed artwork in the same box as weights. I couldn't make this up. I know that it's normal to expect some things to get tossed about in a move, but this is ridiculous. The main problem, however, was that they changed our shipping method without telling us. This meant that: -Everything arrived late, after being dumped in a warehouse for a weekend -Everything was literally dumped in a warehouse. All our furniture now has damage as if it were dragged across a concrete floor. The movers who delivered our stuff said they had to pick it up from where it was dumped on a concrete warehouse floor. -Lile hired a different company to deliver our stuff from the warehouse to our house, who then backed into our garage causing thousands of dollars in damage -When I complained, Lile dragged their feet for months (and ghosted me on several occasions) with no resolution. The best part is that when I asked them why they used a shipping method that was not what our contract said, they had no idea it had changed. hat's a major red flag, given that they're a logistics company. Further, they claim that the "how we ship your stuff" part of the contract isn't binding, while the parts that make me pay more are. I've tried to work with several agents and managers on this, but nobody is interested in making things right. I should have listened to all the other Yelp reviews. Looking at them, in fact, the only good reviews seem to have mistaken Lile Kent for the Tacoma location... Look, I know that nobody has a good experience moving, but working with Lile has been one giant advertisement for Uhaul. TL:DR, just don't. read more

Will update once my issues are resolved one way or the other. Currently they get one star and only because they have possession of my household goods and I cannot give zero stars. The price estimation process was unfair and unethical. The packing experience was pretty pitiful. And the delivery date changed literally day of from a two day window in three days from pickup to a 14 day window in the middle of the Christmas holiday at a location we do not live at and during a time when we had booked a vacation. But no worries... we were given the choice to (a) disclaim all liability, (b) pay an extra $700 for Lile to store our stuff till January and still give us a 14 day window, or (c) pay $2000 extra and get it in January during a two day window like they had originally provided. Further, during the estimation process, I gave them an actual weight from NA Van Lines from 6 months prior and told them I would be removing items. They refused to use my ACTUAL 2500lbs as an upper limit on the estimate and made me pay for a guaranteed move of up to 3500lbs. Guess what folks -- actuals were 1800lbs! No shock there to me. But do I get the 1800lb guaranteed rate? Nope. I get a meager discount from that and still have to resolve their failure to deliver when stated (in writing I might add). It's gonna be a fun week with their management and NA Van Lines and the BBB and anyone else who wants to hear of the disaster. #shouldhavereadYelpifrst read more

I called Lille and Mike arrived eo do dthe estimate. It came in at $7400. There was a $400 charge for optional insurance. Fair enough, I called my homeowner's insurance and they said my household godds would be covered, so I declinhed the insurance. I was surprised to see the final estimate was still $7400.00. I asked about this, and I was told that they adjusted the distance to my destination in Idaho, and the move came to $6600.00, but they added an $800.00 charge for a shuttle because they didn't think they could get their van into my neighborhood. I live in a mobile home community full of double and triple wide movbile homes. I own a medium sized home that is 59 feet long, but the Lille rep doubted he could get his 53 foot trailer into my location. This is a mobile home park. Nothing here but mobile homes. The packers were great. It's a tough job, and they did it quickly with little supervision. If I get hit with an $800.00 shuttle fee, you can bet this review will be downgraded dramatically! Well, everything arrived in one piece. So far, the only tragedy was the microwave no longer works. It was well packed, so I have to chalk it up to the sacrifice to the Great Moving God. Peter, our driver and the people in Eugene, Or, were great. Peter DID get his 53 foot truck into our neighborhood, but the Kent, Wa, people sent in a pilot truck, at no charge to me, to make sure it could be done. At one time I had a CDL and drove 18 wheelers, and I have a fair idea of what is possible with these rigs and what is not. At least it is over. The move came to about $7100.00 including packing and insurance. Some MORE unwanted, unneeded and unwelcome drama came again from the Kent, Wa, office when it appeared we might not be able to meet with the driver, Peter for the delivery in Idaho. At this time I84, our route into Idaho was closed due to weather. The Kent, Wa, people told me that if I didn't meet the delivery, they would put my shipment into storage which would cost $2500.00. The driver, Peter, worked with me to set up the delivery with my daughter. Overall, Peter and the Eugene, Or people, five stars. The Kent office, the less said, the better read more

2 stars and both are for the driver. The crew who packed us bickered and were slower than molasses. To make matters worse, they are unethical. They're paid by the box, so they made sure to use tons of their product. They double boxed one box filled with tupperware and cutting boards. They put 2 cheap wine glasses in there to justify it, I'm sure. Does an Ikea wood cutting board really need to be wrapped in 16 (yes I counted) pieces of paper? So wasteful. I'm in the middle of unpacking now, and I had to stop to vent. This is our 11th interstate move over the past 29 years, and this is the worst packing job I have ever seen. The woman, Donna, was ridiculous in the way she packed and the way she spoke to the crew. I'm sorry I even tipped her. She labeled all boxes with DMV (her initials), and it reminds me of the inefficiency of going the DMV. She packed things in random boxes that make no sense, the labeling is often wrong, and I regret allowing them to pack anything. They wasted my time on both ends and they wasted a ton of paper. Run as far away from their packing services as you can. They stole money from me by the way they packed--just churning fees. The driver, Tyler, was a good guy. I don't blame him for the truck breaking down and the move starting at 3 pm instead of 8 am after I had gotten up and gotten ready and I was stuck sitting in a house with a bunch of boxes. I was exhausted. At least he communicated. He was also a trooper on the delivery end. It was cold and snowy here, and one of the local crew dropped my refrigerator on the driveway because he wasn't holding it with one hand on it. The coils on the back broke, so they're now taped back on. It's not working the way it should, but I don't have the heart to make a claim because the crew kept stressing the $$ comes out of the driver's pocket. I wish someone worried about my money as much as they worry about the company's and the driver's. Oh well, consider yourself warned. Edited to add: We packed at least 60% ourselves. The crew complained about Donna and how slow she was. I don't get why you think the weight coming in low is a big deal when I sold or donated a ton of items. Also, the waste of packing materials cost me extra. They are charged by the box. The reply was full of misinformation. read more

we hired Lile for our warehouse move. We had scheduled 2 days with a 53Ft truck. The driver, Randy, was only supposed to drive, but when he showed up and saw that it was 3 women doing the whole move, he hopped right in the mix, pallet jacking things into his truck for safe delivery. If It weren't for Randy, we'd probably still be moving everything. We got our entire warehouse moved in roughly 2 days time. Randy was a pro and one heck of a driver. He backed that truck into our loading dock like it was nothing. read more

Oh, Cheryl. It was highly unnecessary for you to add further insult to injury with your nonsense(add another tick to the unprofessional column!). First of all, the information in your comment is inaccurate, as we participated in a customer service call in July 2015, shortly after our move, and my husband outlined just about everything I mentioned in my review. Secondly, in no way is $131 fair compensation for a lost $450 item (TV wall mount). Thirdly, I am still waiting for *someone* to acknowledge that our items were delivered NINE days past the FINAL date of our guaranteed delivery window. I got left in the lurch by another mover. Lile's estmater came the very next day and had me on the way to Colorado by the following afternoon. They went out of their way to help me in every way possible. My apartment was packed and loaded quickly and professionally. I could not be happier with their service.
