Ivan gave me a fair price to move items from a storage unit from out of state to another storage unit where I currently reside. Due to a previous commitment I was not able to meet him at the unit out of state or at the destination unit. We signed the contract and I handed him the keys. He and his team did a fabulous job moving the items and organizing at the new facility! They created a pathway so I can reach all the items! Mark came to my home to give me an estimate on my home to move back from Washington to Honolulu at a whopping price of $46750.00. That was only for the move. Reasonable you say? I say downright nasty grouging the customer type of attitude. No way. I've received bids from other companies in the $20+ range not some outrageous price of $46750. which did not include tax OR my vehicles. I declined their bid because it was so high and Mark is very pushy. I hate dealing with people like that. read more

This was by far the worst experience of moving, in my entire life. They made an appointment for 8 AM on Thursday the 28th, they didn't show up all day except they sent one guy, who could not speak English, therefore I was unable to communicate to him "where were the rest of the crew.? They then said they were going to start at 7 PM that evening, and they didn't show. They then, showed up at 8 AM, as requested, and did more damage then I can even describe. Please please please don't use this company. As well, they left behind unpacked drawers and all of my antique rugs, which they refused to move because they said they were dirty, which is possible since they're over 200 years old. I ended up doing more work then I should have. I'm only giving them one, because it won't let me move on without it. But I would recommend a zero. read more

Since the company decided to "double-down" and state "we know our value", I'll go ahead and update my review. After declining their ridiculous quote, I went ahead with shipping as airfreight on Alaska Airlines from SEA to ANC. You would think that if shipping on a barge or truck was worth $8,000...certainly airfreight would be cost prohibitive right? $1,400. !!!! That's right, fourteen hundred dollars instead of eight thousand! Buyer beware! I would steer clear of this company and the obvious disregard for customer service. It seems to go beyond just being more expensive than everyone else, it almost seems to enter the realm of "unscrupulous". read more

I will never use another moving company in this area...they are simply the best. With a recent move from out of state, I got to town earlier than expected and reached out to MarSik the night before I needed someone to unload my UHaul truck. They quickly responded, gave me all the information I needed to understand the costs of the move (best rates I have come across), and let me know they could have someone for me tomorrow. The guys called me about 45 minutes before the window of arrival to say that they could be at my place in 20 minutes if that was okay (much appreciated). They were courteous, professional, made sure all my things were where I wanted them (offered to move things around for me several times), and made sure that I was 100% satisfied before leaving. Again, I would recommend them 10 out of 10 and I will personally never call another moving service as long as I live in the area. read more

UPDATE 1: I declined for further remediation of this issue and had to tell them so. But they kept emailing to remediate after I respectfully declined. While I appreciate the persistence in righting a wrong, don't chastise your customer for choosing not to do so. Back to a 2-star rating for me. I wish I could give them a 5-star rating but this really left me with a bad aftertaste. UPDATE: The owner reached out and apologized and offered to address this matter but to be honest, I do not feel like prolonging this situation further. I'm giving them an additional star for this effort. --- They were super responsive and the movers were OK. I was super disappointed that the movers I had bought coffee for in the morning and tipped did not tell me that they broke the leg off of my entertainment system without telling me. I'm not upset that it was broken but more the fact that they did not tell me. When I reached out to them, they had to check with the guys. Then asked me to send a bigger picture of the entertainment system, which I would have done but I'm just tired from moving during a pandemic and the fact that I have to deal with this further without any actionable follow-up steps was really disappointing for me. Quite frankly, I just don't have the energy to deal with it. I have renters insurance and could possibly buy a replacement for my entertainment system but I wound up buying gorilla glue instead to glue the broken leg to the rest of the entertainment system. Additionally, a few of the small screws to keep the sliding doors in place were missing as well. I wouldn't say don't use them because they are really affordable. Just be aware that they handled my stuff pretty roughly. But they were available last minute and took over four hours to move me from one studio to another studio less than 2.2 miles away. Helpful reminder: they have a 3-hour minimum at a $100/hr rate. Please note that the movers did not properly wear their masks. They had them on but did not cover their noses. Additionally, I had asked them to lock up my old apartment, which they did not. When I returned to my old apartment, I noticed that they had used my bathroom and left the toilet seat up in addition to leaving my apartment unlocked! I hired Marsik movers for a short move from Renton to Maple Valley. They were competitively priced (cheapest by a narrow margin), really easy to work with scheduling and they showed up on time, ready to work! That's about all the good I can say about Marsik. The biggest problems I had is not that they continued to break my things -- an expensive BBQ grill, damaged a sentimental (and expensive) painting from my honeymoon, broke about 3 different shelves and our outdoor dining table. My problem is they tried to hide the fact that things broke... or even try to put temporary fixes to make it seem like the item never broke. When confronted about that I was told by the lead on the job "yeah I've been trying to tell them to be more open when things break, I don't know...". They gave me ~$125 off which as you can imagine does not cover a fraction of the damage. The second problem is they were not experienced. Aside from the lead (who by the way was very respectful and seemed to know his stuff), the other two members were brand new to moving. One seemingly at his first ever move. This was the main reason so many things broke, polar opposite to the experience I had with another moving company moving in. There was even small things they just didn't do that other companies do.. like adding padding around the front door and other high traffic areas to avoid damaging the structure of the home. Finally, despite us being in the middle of the pandemic (pre-vaccine) and me telling them on multiple occasions that a family member of mine was at high risk if they got COVID, I had to continue to ask them to wear a mask, keep it above their nose over and over and over and over again. It was a long day, couldn't wait for them to finish and enjoy my home. I continue to find things they broke and just glad I won't ever have to work with these people again. Despite all of that, I gave them an excellent tip which maybe I should not have done purely because the work was hard. But lucky for me it will be the very last time I have to deal with this company. Hope others can avoid them as well or the company itself can figure out how to fix these gaping problems. read more

Wish I could give these guys 5 stars! I'd booked them out a few weeks in advance and 25 minutes before they were supposed to show up, I get a call from Ernesto who says they have to cancel the move today. Ok, I get shit happens. It's life! But then I asked if we can reschedule to tomorrow or the next day, and he casually and nonchalantly says " Oh no we can't do that. We are fully booked with customers." Ok so, you cancel 25 minutes before you're to show up and now you're offering no solution? I'm a customer too. This isn't my fault. What am I supposed to do? I've never had this experience with movers before. To cancel and basically say "sorry we have customers, good luck" is unfathomable! I have to be moved before the 1st (or I lose my deposit) and it's the 30th. His excuse was they are a small business, which I totally understand because I'm a small business owner too. But to offer no solution and then tell me they're booked out with customers for a while is not very good business. I'm not expecting the world. At least offer me a solution. I cannot recommend this company. And will absolutely share my experience far and wide online. Hoping it can be a learning experience for the owner to improve customer support. Eek, scary, even for someone well-versed in furniture assembly! Mark persevered. This was a large dresser, and a serious project. Beautiful results! I regret hiring them. Here are the things that went wrong: 1) To the owner Mark- I ,from the very beginning of our conversation, asked for a 2days-move. 1 day for packing and another day for moving. He agreed, but just a few day before the move-pack day, he called me and said he is confident that they can move and pack the same day. I was upfront with him that it will be a 2day job, but he underestimated the work. I agreed because I thought these guys must be experienced so they would know better. But clearly not. There was so much stuff left that we ultimately had to book another additional movers for the next day. What a pain, simply because of Mark's wrong judgement. 2) We hired 3 person move. Only one of them (Ornesto) was respectful and know his work, he was packing diligently and he was doing the most work. The other two were rude, disrespectful. If you are in service industry, learn to talk professionally. One of the guy(Leo) was literally throwing toddler tantrums. He broke our furniture and was not apologetic at all. He told us if it's IKEA furniture, we won't cover the damages. I would have fine with that, but WHY WOULD YOU NOT DISCLOSE THIS INFORMATION BEFORE YOU WASTED 3 HOURS IN DISMANTLING THE FURNITURE AND BILLED US FOR THAT?????? IF I HAD KNOWN THIS, I would not have let you touch that furniture and wasted 3 hours and with broken furniture-which is of no use now. 3) They have exorbitant prices for their packing boxes. We were charged 360$ for 30 boxes? How in the world??? We had no choice but to pay them as were very tired with dealing with them. 4) Also Leo charged us extra to remove shoes in our new house. They offered to lay a plastic, which he didn't have the complete roll but still charged us for full roll. 5) The 3rd mover was sooo laidback and can be found doing absolutely nothing. He can be seen just passing time to have billable hours. At last I would say -Ornesto did the heavy lifting and because of him we were able to salvage our move day. I feel bad for Ornesto, giving bad review, but the other two guys and owner didn't leave me choice. I would NOT Recommend them to anyone. read more

Beware - these movers will try and deceive you out of extra money (not in the quote). Honestly the worst experience my husband and I have ever had with movers and with a company. During the move: our movers Leo & Ivan (?) complained 5x about how heavy our furniture is (can't make this sh*t up) ...And complained that we did not "disclose" we had items over 200 lbs. We, in fact, have Zero items over 200 lbs. After the move is done - they tell us to pay them additional $300 for "the heavy furniture" - and kept Insisting that our sofa & our dresser was "too heavy" and hence they gotta charge $300 extra. YOU GUYS I LITERALLY HAD WEST ELM ON THE PHONE to tell these guys that the sofa weighed only 150 lbs ... they argued, got aggressive and actually refused to leave for 50 MINUTES until we paid them the extra money (thats called extortion) ....and it gets even better, they charged us for the extra 50 min they spent not backing down from lying about the weight of our furniture. I contacted the owner Mark afterwards Bc we were appalled by the whole experience and he said we needed to provide evidence. (SEE SCREENSHOTS BELOW from the kind team @ West Elm).... the interesting thing is these items where NOWHERE close to 200LBS. Which can only lead me to believe that Leo and Ivan thought they met a nice couple that they could take advantage of ... so shitty...A few other things to consider: yes they are cheap - but you get what you pay for ... they do a sloppy job and banged up our freshly painted walls. They are ROUGH w your furniture during the move so at least 3 pieces (bed frame, TV console, crib) have dents & chipped paint - There's probably more stuff that's banged up, but I havent checked. Plus one of them did not wear a face mask the Entire time. Big Lesson learned , next time we will def pay more for quality movers. PLS beware guys, they quote you a low price upfront but then try to up-charge you hundreds on complete B.S.- that's called a shady business. (BTW I should note that after we provided the Receipts, Mark did refund us the money his guys tried to con us out of ... TY Mark)... We just have such a terrible taste in our mouths from literally arguing w these guys for an hour and them getting aggressive and saying "we know our sh*t and your furniture is over 200 lbs so give us more money " - what a cringey & terrible experience. Moving is stressful enough , you don't need movers that complain about how heavy your furniture is.... read more

I was really happy with Marsik but that was before I got a look at my storage unit and how they stacked my furniture and things. It was a mess, chairs teeter-tottering on top of boxes, fragile boxes wedged in places holding things in place. Zero organization, zero care. Furniture stacked on top of each other, scraped up and scratched, they were unprotected and shouldn't have been "stacked" up on each other. Art work wedged in between boxes. I have spent hours and hours trying to fix it as best as I can just so things wouldn't come toppling down. It has been tiring and dangerous. I get it was a long day and they wanted to finish up, but I was paying by the hour and I gave a very generous tip. read more

Wonderful experience in an otherwise less-than-fun process of moving. They arrived exactly on time, texted me with updates of parking and eta, wore masks throughout, and were very very polite and gentle with our things. We moved from a condo in Cap hill to Bainbridge and they accommodated the distance without any issues. The two gentlemen that arrived were both so impressive with their ability to lift heavy things and maneuver them easily into the small elevator in our building and keep a good humor and professional demeanor from start to finish. They wrapped our mattress fully and set it on clean blankets carefully in their truck, which we appreciated since it's brand new. They were wonderful - and only one thing was broken in the move which was entirely my fault - I didn't wrap the stem on one of the wine glasses properly so it snapped. And again - that was my fault 100%. So that being said, nothing broke on their watch and we couldn't have been happier with them. Recommend them 100% read more

We are so happy we chose these movers! They worked very professionally by wrapping drawers and tv stand and helped with finishing boxing the last of our item. These guys worked extremely hard the entire time and they never stopped moving! I even recommend them to take a break but they insisted they were fine. I moved about 58 miles away from ground level Apt to 3rd floor condo and they had no problem getting there on time and making it up the stairs with our furniture. Their pricing was well within our budget and so glad I shopped around because other moving companies wanted to charged me closer to 3 or even 4 times more. My wife and I highly recommend these movers to anyone and will 100% hire them again once we upgrade to a large house!
