I used this company a year and 2 months ago. It was a great experience. So this time I decided to go back. That was the absolute worst mistake. My original quote was maximum 1800, my ending bill was $2470. I was promised a discount which I never got. Oh and not to mention the cost changing 3 times on moving day. So many of my items are ripped, torn, broken. I have an added insurance option A but they didn't email me the contract and won't respond to me filing a claim to be made whole. Used this moving service back in October and had a positive experience working with them. They were communicative and on time for my move. While they don't really answer the phone when I call, they always call back within the next hour or so. For the move itself, they were careful not to damage any of my belongings, laid out blankets to avoid getting my floors dirty and wrapped my furniture thoroughly. This company is the worst! We hired them to move us and place our belongings into storage for approx one month, They told us our belongings would be placed in separate storage vaults. Originally quoted price over telephone, but we requested they see what we had to move.so quote would be accurate..They loaded everything, however my husband had to tell them to close backend of truck before leaving our driveway, Upon moving into new home, they delivered some of our belongings along with other furniture pieces that were not ours!. We were missing items out of every room, back cushions to our leather sofa, bottom of our leather recliner, legs, leafs and captain chairs to my dining room table, fabric heaboard, legs to our pool table, pictures, vacuum, brand new swimming pool still in box from Costco, and lawn furniture. They delivered the base to a sleep number bed which was not ours, but had another one in the (2nd or 3rd truck delivering missing items to us) tthat was ours! They mispresented how our belongings would be stored, certainly not separate from everyone else's or we would not be waiting for missing items 1 month later. After our belongings were in their storage facility they doubled the cost of the move. They charged our credit card for additional 2800.00 dollars without our permission. They do not inventory your belongings so they have no way of knowing what to return to you and they don't care! .Plus, we had funiture that was damaged. I had to throw pieces of bedropom set in garbage..Do not hire this company!!!!!!!!!! ] Still missing items and we haven't heard a word from Move for Less. read more

I hate writing bad reviews.....but the service I've received is horrific. My move was scheduled for an arrival of 8-10am. At 9:40am, I received a phone call saying that one of the movers was injured the previous day on the job and couldn't make it. What's frustrating is that - if the injury happened the day before - I really wish I would have been notified then instead of 20 minutes before the END of the arrival window. I drove all the way up to my old apartment just for this, and for no reason. From that point forward, they kept updating me different time frames between that evening and the next morning which ended up having me waste a whole day driving back and forth instead of working on my new home like I had planned. The movers ended up coming at 7:15pm and didn't finish until almost 11:30pm (it was estimated to be a 2 hour job). They were moving really slow but I didn't complain because it was an extremely hot day so I understood that it was probably very hard for them. They did end up breaking my TV stand - but again - I didn't complain because I know these things sometimes happen. I even tipped them well at the end because I know how hard their job is and that the scheduling is not their fault. What's worse about my experience is that I was promised a 10% discount since I had been jerked around all day, but I never received it. I followed up over the phone, left a voicemail, and even sent an email. At this point, they are actively ignoring me and I'm done trying. Had they simply given me the refund that THEY promised me, I wouldn't even be writing this review, because they would have at least shown that they were trying to make up for my poor experience. I'm posting this to warn folks who are thinking about hiring a moving company - please save yourself the stress and find another company. Heed these reviews - they are very true. read more

Needed movers to move my furniture and stuff into my new 3rd floor apartment. These guys showed up on time at my storage place and loaded everything up in just over an hour. They packed everything very carefully, wrapping up my glass end tables and furniture with blankets, and took care of my stuff. They also helped me reorganize and combine my two 10x20 storage rooms into one. We moved to the apartment, and they were amazing at how fast they moved the whole truckload up 3 flights of stairs. The whole move was done in 3 hours, which saved me time and money! I believe it was great value! They were friendly and genuinely good guys. I would recommend them any time, and if I need to move anything again, I will definitely use them! read more

Do *not* allow them to pack *anything.* They do a horrible job just throwing (sometimes literally) everything unwrapped and without padding into giant boxes. Wardrobe box full of loose toiletries? Check. Fragile ceramics literally dropped into a box that they didn't even tape closed? Check. In addition, they were allergic to moving itself. They asked about a dozen times if they wanted me to pack certain things and I kept reminding them that I did. At one point they closed their truck and turned the engine on before I told them I wanted to double-check. Sure enough, I found multiple areas of the house they had not packed and moved despite telling them repeatedly to do so. Find someone else! read more

UPDATE: Company tried to give me gag order to remove my honest review in order to refund me for damages 60 cents per lb of items damaged. Perhaps this is why you don't see as many "negative" reviews because they had to blackmail people to remove it before they refund. I refused to do so, so they are not refining me. After getting quotes from multiple moving companies, we decided to go with them because of excellent communication and attention to detail even at the quoting stage. They were not the cheapest but we wanted to go with someone who we felt we could trust with our items (as we had bulky items like a full set of home gym equipment, riding lawnmower, etc). We were SO happy we went with "Move for less"! Multiple confirmation calls leading up to the move day and on time arrival, and the guys (we had 5 guys + 2 trucks) worked quickly, efficiently, and carefully at the same time. They wrapped all of our furniture so nicely... it was impressive! It took them 10 hours from the start until finish and they WORKED. It was worth every penny! We HIGHLY recommend them! read more

My move was scheduled for Friday April 2nd. Movers were supposed to show up between 1 pm and 2 pm. I worked with a guy named Daniel over the phone to get my bid and get things scheduled. He was helpful and attentive. However, at 2 pm when no one had showed up I called him to see where the movers were? He said, "they have not contacted you?" "No", I replied to contact by phone or text from the driver and no sign of the truck. Daniel said he would contact them and have them communicate with me. At 3 pm I call crying, "where are they? I have cleaners coming and I now have to pay them a rescheduling fee for not letting them know within a 24 hour window. Daniel said, "I will contact them and get back to you." Then nothing until about 4 pm. The mover had finally arrived, pulled down the ramp opened the truck and acted like he was ready to do the job. Then he knocks on my door invoice in hand saying, "let me see your stuff! It says here we are going up 3 flights of stairs where we are moving you to." I let him in and he immediately starts to complain. "My truck broke down, this is why I'm late. You have too much stuff and this will take 5-6 hours to move not the 3-4 hour est, they give on your invoice. I hot now, this guy is trying to extort 6 hours of pay for a 3 hour job!! I said to him, "I'm not having this conversation with you. The guy that bids the job has done his job, he has pictures of my stuff and knows how to bid the work. Your job is to pick the stuff up and move it to the new address, so all you need to do is your job." The guy, who appeared to be the "foreman" went out to the truck to talk to his helper. I happened to have a friend visiting and she was looking out the window to see what was taking them so long to start loading when she said, "They are putting the ramp back up...they are closing the truck...I think they are leaving! Oh my heck, they are driving away!! And, they had indeed left without doing the job! I called Daniel back insisting that he make this right. He couldn't schedule me on Saturday as they were booked, but scheduled me for 9 am Easter Sunday (had to cancel Easter plans) the day I'd taken off from work was now wasted and I'd need to ask for Monday off now to get unpacked!! Daniel said he'd give me a $50 discount (he said this is ALL the company will allow him to when trying to fix customer service fiasco's, not nearly enough in my opinion and told him so.) Sunday crew shows up at 9 am, on time, get the job done in 3 1/2 hours, then when I go to sign and pay I noticed my hourly rate was bumped from $130 on Friday to $142 on Sunday, thus erasing teeny tiny discount I'd been offered at the reschedule. Now I've paid MORE for the rescheduled move then I would have paid if done on the original date, HOW is that any sort of reasonable customer service? After the move I get a text from Russell in customer service wanting to know how my move went. I texted the novel above. Then I get an email from him asking me to connect to all the links he's inserted and give a review of my move. I respond to the email saying, "did you bother to read my text?" You may want to check that out before you urge me to broadcast it." Russel sends a text back saying "I've forwarded your text to the appropriate parties and will update you as we work on a solution. We appreciate your patience while we work on this." Well it's been nearly a week and not one person has checked back in with me and NO resolution has been offered. If I could give the first crew zero stars I would. The crew that came on Sunday would get a five and the company as whole now stands at a zero star rating because of their neglect to make this right. I feel that a full refund is order considering what it cost me in extra time off work, fee's to cleaners for reschedule ect. I will not use them again nor will I be recommending them to anyone. read more

The movers were friendly and fast enough but they left holes and scratches on my walls, chips in the interior walls and exterior trellis, left my items taken apart and covered in plastic wrap, and put tape on a wooden family heirloom resulting in the finish being torn off. I was almost willing to forgive them for all of that until last night when I finally got to connecting my TV I realized that it is broken despite my asking them to REPEATEDLY handle it better and being told "it's OK" and "I am a TV guy so I promise it's alright" --- no, it wasn't because now it is broken. These movers are going to cost me hundreds, if not more, in repairs and replacement costs not including attempting to restore my generational valued items. In short, if you care about your home (mine was a brand new purchase) or your belongings, DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY! Edit: A little over a month later they did compensate about half the cost of the TV and enough money to hopefully hire someone to fix the walls. They were unable to find someone to fix them, however. Recently used this company to move. They showed up not just a little late, but hours (evening instead of morning). Ended up moving through the night making it a hassle for our schedule. We experienced damage to our items from a lack of care. When we tried to resolve with management, it was met with resistance. Additionally, the owner offered to reimburse our move because the extent of our headaches were vast. However, he decided against it the next day and changed his offer only if we "settled" and wouldn't post our review. The reason he's probably got a high rating is because there are probably multiple gag orders out there whenever anything goes wrong on his side. We had to live through and experience it ourselves. We didn't accept the gag order so that we could inform other consumers to beware and warn them of this company. UPDATE: 10/16/2020 3:51pm John, posting an honest review of our actual experience is not illegal. We want to aid other consumers in their decision making process, as is the point of these forums. Trying to pay off people so they won't write accurate reviews (which you attempted to do with us), is unsettling. Used this moving service and they were very meticulous and put moving blankets and shrink wrap on everything. They had a deal going on and they were the cheapest by far. They helped me move pretty efficiently and they moved all of the furniture around to where it would be positioned before they were finished. Hands down would hire again. read more

Great experience. From beginning to end. Upfront about cost of job. (Was actually cheaper than they quoted). the movers Kairat and Aibek were a little late which I understand seattle traffic can be bad, but they were quick when they areived and still managed to move all my stuff into my new apartment in less than 3 hours despite 5pm traffic on a Friday evening. After all was said and done, they called to a 3rd person and gave them my credit card info which was a little weird. They need their own system that charges on the spot.
