This was the worst moving experience of my life so far. I used Magic Moving in 2025 to move from Burien to West Seattle and that team was great, it was 2 people and they took around 3 hours to move my 1 bed/1bath belongings with stairs - on time, efficient, took care of my belongings, and were communicative. Because of that, my partner and I decided to use this company again to move from West Seattle to Fremont on March 6th, 2026. That was a huge mistake. To start off, this team was 3 very young and clearly inexperienced people. We were moving from a 2 bed/1 bath apartment, which had an elevator, to an apartment in Fremont which did have stairs (21 total). They weren't efficient, it took EIGHT hours for three people to move a 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment that was already packed and ready to move. They also HIT AND RAN after hitting a neighbors car and damaged her hood with the moving truck as they were leaving our old apartment (she had to file a police report because it was a hit and run). They put our two flat screen tvs in their PERSONAL cars and we didn't realize until they got to our new place. Once they got to the new apartment, they couldn't maneuver their truck. They wanted to park IN the bus lane even though I told them it was illegal. Then they backed up traffic because they wanted to get as close to the front door as possible even though its a busy intersection and I told them exactly where they could safely park (in our alleyway) but they disregarded that and they tried for about 20 min to maneuver on the street. At this point my partner and I were upset at our experience and knew we were about to pay way more than we should because of how slow and inexperienced this team was. We ended up telling them to leave some items at the old apartment because of how slow they were going. We also ended up telling them to leave all of our belongings on the first floor of our new apartment, which meant we moved all of our stuff ourselves basically. To top it all off, after this EIGHT HOUR ordeal, we had to pay $1300....for three people to move a 2 bed/1bath to a location that was exactly 10 miles away (20 min top). We followed up with the company and told them about our experience to give them a chance to make it right. They emailed back after multiple days and said they would look into the situation. It has now been a full month since that response and there has been no communication at all. We are extremely unsatisfied and will never use this company ever again. read more

Mike got back to me right away and provided an estimate that was very reasonable. Given this company has a 5-star review status on Yelp, I went with them. And I'm glad I did... Victor, Kevin, and Vincente were punctual and got to work right away. My storage unit was on the 3rd floor, so lots of elevator time for these three gentlemen. They tag-teamed the load so well they were done in less than 3 hours for a completely packed 26' moving van! They treated all my belongings as if they were theirs, so no damage at all. The movers arrived on time, and wrapped everything perfectly for us (mattress, dresser, etc). Everything was protected and moved really quickly - they even finished early. Upon arriving at our destination, they even took care to remove their shoes before coming inside, which I didn't ask them to do (but was really appreciated!). Was looking for a couple movers for a couple hours, not a full move. Called several places who said they could help (all had a 3 hour minimum). I chose Magic Movers because they had good reviews and seemed nice on the phone. Called back the next day (Friday), reiterated my request, could they help that Monday? They assured me they could. I was delighted. They said to get a TV box, moving pads, and straps. I said no problem, I can do that. They then requested an inventory list. I said for 3 hours of help? I just want 3 hours of help. They said yes, we need this to plan. I said, um, ok, and sent a list. Suddenly my request was impossible. They needed to send more people, more time. They could not send 2 people for 3 hours. Of course this was 24 hours of when I had been hoping for 3 hours of moving help. I'm not mad that they couldn't do it, but I am unhappy that despite me clearly and repeatedly stating what I wanted, they didn't tell me they couldn't until the last minute. So now after wasting everyone's energy for several days, I'm back to moving alone, with no time to try to find backup help. read more

These guys were amazing!! They shrink wrapped the furniture that was delicate like my glass kitchen table. They brought a huge sectional in set it up along with the new area rug. We moved from a small 650 square foot apartment to a 2000 square foot townhome. These guys put all the boxes and things where I asked them to on each level. They really went above and beyond! I had three movers and they took 4 hrs to do all the moving. There is a half an hour travel time added on but I think that is not much considering they spent more than a half an hour in traffic! Just got a brand new refrigerator delivered today and Best Buy's delivery guys weren't able to get it up my stairs and they also damaged several stairs and a wall. So after this terrible experience this morning, I reached out to Magic and asked if they could help. They told me they'd send some people to look at to see if it was even possible. Less than an hour later, Victor and Stephen showed up. Both were very friendly and I could immediately tell they knew what they were doing and had a strategy. After an arduous and tense few minutes of watching them get it up the stairs, the fridge finally made it. Quote provided via chat, based on details I provided. Move involved 1 recliner chair and 1 recliner couch. Magic Moving provided an exact total, including men, truck, gas, tax. There was no minimum required like all other competitors who bid (2-3 hour minimum). Bid was less than all other competitors so I scheduled via website contact form for 1 week out. Magic Moving sent a confirmation via email, and a reminder 1 day before. Victor and Arron arrived on time to the pickup location, wrapped the furniture well with pads and shrink wrap, and arrived at the dropoff location about an hour after starting. They encountered a challenge getting the very heavy recliner couch through the side door and decided on a different route into the house, from the backyard via the deck. A few attempts at angling down the stairs, and they ultimately determined it would not fit due to depth and weight. I decided on an alternate location upstairs and when they unwrapped it, we all noticed that the couch could separate into two pieces. They were then able to move the two pieces individually down the stairs and into the preferred location. The chair moved easily through the side door. I appreciate Victor and Arron trying a few approaches, and I appreciate their efforts. As mentioned, the couch is very heavy - and I knew they were working hard. Payment was easy via Venmo. We were supposed to move on a certain day and they gave us a 2 hour window. We woke up early and waited for them and they never arrived and we never received a call. We decided to call and to see if they were coming and the guy that picked up said he thought it was for Saturday. He made a mistake on the calendar. So he said he would come 2 hours later. We wanted to move asap so we said ok. They came on time the second time and they took care of our items and nothing was broken or damaged which I was afraid of. The whole moving situation was 2 hours long. But we had scheduled an internet guy to come that day after the moving guys were supposed to leave, like the original time they were supposed to be here at, clearly we did not anticipate them to mess up and get to us 2 hours late. Anyway, now we had to cancel the internet guy and they only had time slots available for 3 days after. So we did not have wifi and we could not watch tv for 3 days only because this company made a mistake!!!! Pretty mad about that. I've used several moving services in the past and by far this moving service has been the best. I hired two movers to move a one bedroom from udistrict to queen anne and they finished in two hours. They both arrived early and was ready to go. Stephan and Alfredo were very efficient and wrapped all the furnitures so that they wouldnt get damaged. I had a fantastic experience working with Magic Moving and Delivery Services. Victor and José made my move quick and stress-free. Victor and José arrived to my apartment building about 15 minutes early. They got right to work moving my belongings and furnishings out of my second floor, walk-up studio apartment. They literally ran some of the time! Despite working amazingly quickly, they were also gentle with my stuff, wrapping the furniture and handling the boxes I'd labeled "delicate" with care.
