Very easy to schedule with and pricing was up-front. The crew that came was friendly and super efficient, and managed to get everything done- correctly and with zero damage- in less than the estimated time. The cost of this move, from Seattle to Tacoma, came out to be not terribly higher than the cost of my last move which was only three or four blocks for moving roughly the same amount of stuff and substantially more driving time! Not at all what I was expecting (fearing) cost-wise. Would definitely recommend! A tip for anyone pricing movers, the added cost of a third crew member came out to less overall for me in total time it took to load/unload. On the day of, they worked very quickly yet carefully in my home, resulting in no damage despite moving a ton of heavy items up 3 floors. This included bringing my washer up to the very top floor! These guys really hustled, which was something I was afraid of from hiring movers. They wrapped furniture and other valuables, loaded up from an old apartment with a small elevator, then unloaded everything by hand to a three story house, and I've yet to find any dings in the wall or furniture. During the day of, had an amazing team with Victor, Aaron and Stephen. They were suuuper fast and very friendly. Moved from Capitol Hill to Ballard within 2 hours, apartment was a studio. Very communicative on the day, easy to reach. Originally was scheduled for a 2-person team, got 3 on the actual day, and was charged the 2-person fee. I could not be more happy with U-Relax Moving! The day before the move, I received a text and email confirming the appointment. Our movers were Victor, Sergio and Vincent and they were really professional, helpful and super sweet to our new puppy. They came on-time (even a little early), and were able to get everything wrapped and moved out of our apartment quickly. They also disassembled and reassembled our daybed for us. Upon arriving at our new house, they made sure they didn't bump into anything or scrape our walls. We had a lot of heavy furniture that needed to be moved to the 2nd and 3rd floors and they handled everything with care. We recently used Magic Movers in a complicated move. They helped move us and our tenant out of a large Seattle house with four levels and a carriage house into a smaller one half the size. Along the way, we asked them to move some things to storage units, some to the new house and some things from the tenant's to his new apartment. Victor and his crew were amazing to work with. They were punctual, polite and thoughtful. They were really good at maneuvering furniture through tight stair cases and organizing boxes in the storage unit by category weight and size. We were incredibly happy with our move with U-Relax. We've only used professional movers one other time, and it was a very bad experience. We really did our research this time and felt confident in U-Relax. Such a great decision. Kasey, Igor, and Ephrain were helpful, strong, and professional. They clearly cared about the experience they delivered. They blanketed and wrapped our larger items, they took off their shoes every time they delivered a box into a room with carpet, they had a great work ethic. I felt really bad because it was raining and they had to carry things up 2 flights of stairs. They didn't complain, and I don't think it even slowed them down at all. I'm actually excited to unpack because they did such a great job moving us in and I'm ready to call this place home (as opposed to our last move where everything was just dumped in the middle of the living room). Like these guys need another 5-star review! Seriously, their overall 5-star review is a testament to how great these guys are. I looked up U-Relax at the recommendation of a friend of mine and found their rates to be reasonable. Add that to the reviews raving about their speediness, and the fact that they charge you an hourly rate door-to-door instead of when they leave their facility (with a flat rate for gas), and I was sold. I'm gonna get super detailed here, because I was mining reviews to try to figure out how long they would take so I could budget. TL;DR: they were quick (3 hrs), friendly, and all my stuff made it in one piece! I moved from a basement apartment in a house (no stairs) with easy garage/driveway access to a 4th floor apartment in close proximity to a elevator that no one else was using. At my new apartment they parked the truck in my garage driveway and had easy access through the garage. What I'm getting at is there were few obstacles on my move! I had one bedroom apartment worth of stuff: about 45 bins/boxes, two dressers, a couch, a mini freezer, a disassembled Ikea desk, and a few loose chairs. I did not have them move a bed or a kitchen table. Victor and Casey showed up a few minutes early and got right to work! They moved everything out of my apartment in about an hour. The drive to my new place was about 30 min, and they took about an hour and a half to unload there, checking in with me to see where I wanted everything. They finished pretty much exactly 3 hours after they started, which I was very happy about, and checked in to see if there was anything else they could do before they left. Another great thing was that they took all their used packing wrap and tape with them, so I didn't have to dispose of any of it! This was my first experience hiring movers and it was HEAVENLY. I weigh about 100 lbs and am useless when it comes to moving heavy furniture, so it was nice having someone else do that part for me. I'd hire these guys again in a heartbeat. read more

I would not recommend this moving company. Although the booking process was smooth and professional, the actual move was less so. I have used many moving company almost every other year in the past 10 years, and this is the only one where I've been missing boxes, had plates and pots broken from rough handling (I watched them dropped "fragile" boxes roughly), and they did NOT have me sign any paperwork. Also I had necklace that went missing, which I mistakenly left on the bathroom counter. I don't trust this company at all. For a similar rate, I would recommend going with another company. read more

U-Relax helped with my small (across town) move and did an amazing job. I was impressed by how they cling-wrapped all of my furniture. The sofa was safely cocooned! There was no chance anything could have gotten dinged up or scratched. For round-trip travel and three guys to do heavy lifting for three hours, the cost was $490 before tips. Can't beat that in Seattle. Worth noting this move was on a Saturday. When I asked for quotes from other movers, some had moving time "minimums" on Saturdays--that's to say, even if my move only took three hours, they would have charged me for four. Yuck. I'm not interested in subsidizing other people's more time-consuming moves, thanks. U-Relax didn't impose any absurd minimums, were wonderful to communicate with, and did a fantastic job. Amazing moving service from start to finish! We have moved several times in the last decade (two of them were cross-state moves). Out of all the moving companies we have used, U-Relax was one of the best! They were responsive, easy to communicate with, and came out to provide an estimate that ended up being very accurate and reasonable. On the moving day, the crew was punctual and courteous. They carefully wrapped our larger furniture and were very systematic and efficient throughout the process. I requested a 3-mover crew: Igor, Luis, Efrain were of few words but very professional and prompt. The supervisor, Victor, came out and gave them a hand, and stayed pretty much the whole time without charging us for the extra crew member. When I called them the next day to thank them and ask them if they had seen some fasteners left in their truck, Victor brought me some new ones! I had a very successful move with the U-Relax team! I initially contacted Michael through Yelp, because U-Relax had such good reviews. He got back to me very quickly, and made it really easy to provide the info he needed to estimate our move. On the day of our move, the movers were all great! The guy leading the crew was really good at keeping us informed what was going on, and all of them worked really hard. Our couch actually didn't fit around the stairs at our new place, and the guys were amazing enough that they lifted it over our balcony to get it into our new home! We also had to make two trips because our stuff didn't fit in one truckload (we had the biggest truck they stock), but the team kept me updated early that it was a possibility, did a good job trying to get it in one load, and made the trips as fast as possible. The only thing that went poorly in our move was that I requested four movers, and someone called in sick so we only had three. Our move took longer than estimated because of this, which was a bummer. But the cost was very close to what they had initially quoted, since the cost per hour is lower for less movers, so it worked out okay. Overall, we were really happy with U-Relax, and would totally use them again or recommend them to others! read more

The team that came out for my recent move from north seattle - edmonds (Kasey, Luis, Efrain) was 5 minutes early, polite, hardworking, and EXCELLENT listeners. It was a bit of an odd move in that I mainly needed furniture to be moved from a house into a garage for storage for 4 months, so I had my own moving blankets to use & needed things to be wrapped for storage etc etc - and they were great about stopping, listening, and adjusting on the fly as I inserted "oh wait! I need..." comments throughout their process and orchestrated a tetris like puzzle to get as everything to fit on one side of a 2-car garage, including a king-sized tempurpedic mattress that needed to lay flat... buwhahaha. Will definitely hire them again in the fall for the 2nd part of my move out of garage storage! Super fast and wrapped up all our (old, ratty) furniture in miles of blankets and shrink wrap, treating every one of our Craigslist-salvaged chairs and tables like priceless antiques. Needless to say, everything arrived in pristine (well, as pristine as secondhand furniture can be) condition, and in record time. I generally help by moving a few boxes with their additional dollies and we've always finished before the quoted times. They are super professional, wrapping all furniture in padded layers so I've never had any issues with fragile items breaking (maybe I'm just good at packing). Victor and his team were prompt, professional, and polite. They showed up about 10 minutes early and Victor took time to quickly walk around with me and listen to what I wanted. After that, the guys got to work! I hovered like an anxious parent in the school drop off que for a few minutes but it was clear these guys were pros, and my things were in good hands. I left them to their business and went about cleaning the kitchen. In no time at all, everything was loaded. On walking through, I noticed a couple things got left behind due to a miscommunication (they were right next to things I did want left.) I pointed them out and the guys were great! No defensiveness or blaming, just said, "sure we have room for that." After some slight adjusting, they were ready to go! I expected the unloading to take longer than the loading but they met my husband at the new place and were almost done by the time I got there. I tried to be reasonable about setting my moving expectations and U-relax exceeded them in every way. I've already recommended them to my sister and would strongly recommend them to others as well. One note is that they do only take cash. Not a big deal but something to be aware of. read more
