I was extremely impressed and satisfied with everything from the first communication to the final box moved into the space. Jevoy is a total gentleman and his team handled all of my belongings with care. I am a therapist and had several boxes of fragile toys, art, and even a sand tray. They followed instructions for how to handle items and carried everything up two stories extraordinary quickly! They also moved a heavy furniture item in my house upstairs for me, even though it wasn't technically a part of the move. They did it all with a really positive and gracious attitude and I'm so grateful for their help. I just wish I'd used them for my bigger move into my house a few months ago. I was all packed and ready to do the big move! My phone rings and it's someone from the moving company saying they have to cancel. It's one of the last things you want to hear on moving day. I asked if we could reschedule for tomorrow and he declined. I was in a panic. Then... I contacted Brighter Day Movers and got a response minutes later from Jevoy! Somehow They were able to accommodate a last minute big move!!! My heroes! They handled all my belongings with care, helped calm my nerves and their bright smiles made everything better. I contacted the owner through Yelp, and was quickly provided a price estimate and confirmed the move date. Day of the move, Bright Day Movers showed you on time and got straight to work. These guys were extremely polite, professional, and pleasant to be around. My girlfriend used these guys to move a 1 bedroom apartment about 20 minutes across down. As somebody who used to own his own business in the transportation/hauling industry what I saw was atrocious. Pace of work: these guys move slow as fuck while on an hourly rate. I get not killing yourself on a job, but these two fellers were obviously delaying the job to make the move go from 2 to 3 hours of paid time. These guys moved slower than it takes for the Hoover Dam concrete to fully dry. They insisted on taking apart the bed frame despite my girlfriend telling them the previous moving company got it in no problem. Several times the workers took personal phone calls and were often sitting on the ground playing on their phones. Professionalism: Like I said before I used to do similar work. I would always make a point to make sure my truck was set up properly, and fairly clean before going to work for a customer. The truck was a disaster, and there seemed to be no rhyme or reason for their packing. Also the move started off with two movers, then when it was time to the other place one of the movers inexplicably got on his skateboard and long boarded into the abyss. This left them with one dude who showed up. Interaction with owner/unloading: like I said above, we only got one mover at the unloading location. I ended up helping (and moving at a far quicker pace) because I wanted to get the job done and stop the clock. The owner has replied in this thread and said a "wE oFfErD a SeCoNd MoVeR bUt YoU dEcLiNeD". This is not true. My girlfriend never denied service. And the two options were basically either wait for another dude to arrive or I jump in and finish the job. So I made the choice to do the work myself. I will say the one guy who made it to the final place was nice enough and a harder worker than the other, but the way the owner managed this situation and how he operates is a disgrace. read more

Pros: The 4 man moving team was fast and efficient. Loaded 4 PODS from a 3 bed/2 bath, single story home in 4 hours. Company had great communication. Cons: I was told they would bring sufficient wrap and tape. I even called the day prior to confirm this. Day of the move, movers ran out of wrap/tape after the first hour. This resulted in important pieces of furniture getting marred, scratched, or filthy. If you use Brighter Day, I strongly suggest investing in your own supplies (despite what they tell you). read more

Brighter Day will be my first call next time. Was helping with a move and there was a communication snafu with the original movers who proclaimed they were only there to move furniture, not boxes. Cue panic. Where the furniture was going had a loading dock reservation for $500 so we needed the boxes moved in in by 5p and it was already 11:30a. Cue more panic because the only help in site was an 78 year old lady and a girl with a shredded knee. Called Brighter Day and Adrian immediately relayed she'd see what they could do to help. Cue the calvary (Jevoy & company) pulling up at 2p with a moving truck and the biggest smiles and said they'd take care of everything. And they did, by 5p and even helped with a couple other tasks. And still had the biggest smiles. They can do moving, junk-hauling, etc. ... and they will be the first call next time. Kudos!! read more

We went with BDM based off a stellar recommendation from a friend. The two guys who came to move our 2 BR home we're friendly. So far, we have not found damage in our belongings, but the handling of certain items was questionable at times (resting our wooden dining table on concrete with no pads when moving it). Overall, we were super impressed. We were quoted 5 hours of move time, and told on the phone that if more time would be needed we would be consulted. That never happened, and the movers took multiple breaks that extended the time to 6.5 hours (and tried to bill us for that entire time). They were not exactly in a rush or hustling to move our items either, the move definitely could have been done in five hours. It honestly felt like they were trying to get us to pay more. Also, my quote said a tv box and mattress bag would be brought, and that didn't happen. I would go with a different mover for my next move. read more

I ended up using a lot of the space in the truck, so they had to unload my stuff first before going to get my boyfriend's apartment. The guys on the trucks were awesome and would have earned five stars if I could rate them separately from their back office support. We sent several emails asking specific questions weeks before needing their services. Never got answers to any of our questions. The most important question which wasn't answered until after the work was done was, "when do you start counting your time?" The answer was when they leave their office in Seattle. Not a great experience with these movers. They showed up late and still charged me for over an hour of commute time which should have only been 30 minutes TOPS. They were not efficient at all, making what has previously been a 2 hour move take over 4 hours. AND worst of all 2 men showed up to pack up the apartment but then only 1 showed up to unload, they said someone else would come help but no one did so my boyfriend had to do most of the unloading. They only gave me a small discount for this. And when I tried to reach the front office they ignored my calls repeatedly. Very sketchy service. However, the one individual who helped load and unload was very kind. There's plenty of other good moving services in seattle to choose from. EDIT: the comment to this review stating I was offered another crew member to help us is FALSE! We used Brighter Day Movers for our move earlier today and we were SO impressed! They were professional, fast, efficient, and easy to work with from start to finish! Jevoy was super responsive and sent over an estimate right away upon request. Their rates are very reasonable with no extra or hidden fees. We needed movers on a fairly short notice (we sold our house and have a quick close), and they were available exactly when we needed them. They estimated they would need six hours for our move, but they ended up only needing four hours because the two movers were so fast! Closing on my house was delayed which in turn delayed my move - the person working the phone/office was extremely accommodating and they moved my date with no problems. The guys were all really friendly and professional. One of them had just started and it was really amazing to see how the guys trained him with kindness and respect (BDM called me ahead of time with a great rate on a new employee). It was an all day move for 3 guys, the truck was completely full!! I also have a massive sofa that proved to be very tricky to get it into the new house. As I was calculating the cost of a new couch, the guys flipped it & switched it & took the feet off & flipped it again, and boom, in like flynn. Moving is expensive and it will always take longer/more manpower/cost more than quoted, it's just a fact. BDM's staff are good-natured and they did a really good job (while I sat in the sun all day). This is the best moving company! Their workers are strong, work fast, never complain, are super professional, and have a can-do attitude. We had a lots of heavy and bulky items to move and a lot of stairs at our two houses, both where we were moving from and the new house. It was a much bigger job than their usual, so they rented an extra truck, called in an extra mover, and stayed until late at night until the job was done, even though they had to be exhausted. They even helped us with picking up a 12' very heavy table (at least 600 pounds) at an alternate site and adding that to the haul. Somehow they managed to keep smiles on their faces the entire time. Once we decided to put our house on the market and permanently relocate to CA, my first thought was to contact Jevoy and get a quote for the big long distance move. We had hired him a year ago just for loading and had such a great experience that I didn't hesitate to contact him for a quote. One of the many things I really appreciate about Jevoy is the ease of communication and his desire to address any and all concerns. We also had the peace of mind knowing that he hires some of the best, hardworking guys he can find to be a part of his well trained crew. We had quite a few big and heavy items that they loaded and unloaded with the same amount of care as the fragile ones. As with any big move, I believe it's important to be flexible and understanding on both sides. Although it can be stressful, it's important to be prepared for the unexpected.
