Chicken fried steak, eggs over easy, hash browns, biscuit and a side of bacon.

A little quiet today at Lido Cafe. Ordered the usual double latte. Chose the chicken fried steak, eggs over easy, hash browns, biscuit and a side of bacon. Way too much food. But all really good. Bacon was crispy, eggs cooked perfectly. All in all, another fantastic breakfast!

I had a brunch here at Lido cafe this past July. Yup, it's been awhile and now I'm finalizing my draft review. The cafe in Carmichael, CA, gets a thumbs up from me though. It's the type of place is becoming extinct... family owned and operated, neighborhood signature vibes, simple good homemade food, and decent pricing. The hours are 7am-2pm Wednesday-Sunday. I dropped in on a late Sunday morning. The place was packed. Bustling with lots folks ranging from large generational families, solo diners, young teenagers with their friends on break to golden couples happily trudging along with their walkers. But even me and hubs could feel the sense of family ownership and welcoming neighborly vibes. Trust me, I don't get those vibes often. They had patio dining as well, but it was a bit hot for me to sit outside in July even with the shaded covering. But I'm a wimp regarding the summer heat. We sat inside. Comfortable and air conditioned. When it's a full house, it is loud and crowded. For folks with hearing aids, the tables along the walls are the best bet. I ordered an almond milk latte. I didn't have high hopes of anything spectacular, but I was wrong. It was deliciously smooth and creamy with an airy froth and espresso flavor. Darn delicious. One of the best I've ever tasted. I also ordered a half order of eggs benedict. Luv that they offered a half order, most places don't. The hollandaise sauce was smooth and the poached egg had a satisfying perfect yolk ooze. The flavors were ok overall. Hubs ordered an egg salad sandwich that came with fresh fried tortilla chips n salsa. No complaints from him. Another cool thing about the menu is that they offer doggie meals (for your fur babies). No lie. The meals average $4.95 and come with a water bowl. Dogs are served on the patio. Also if your dog needs to do his business, there is an ample strip of lawn with shade trees near the sidewalk in front of the parking lot.

We went to Lido Cafe for the first time for brunch after attending mass on Sunday. Funny thing was that we initially walked into the other cafe in the same plaza. However, the food didn't sound to be as good bc of the lack of options so we decided to check out Lido which appeared to be packed and "poppin"! To our surprise (and gratitude) the restaurant was indeed packed and we were sat in between two parties. This wasn't that bad bc it gave for a cozy feel and we also spoke to the folks next to us, which we happened to share the condiments and hot sauce with lol. We ordered the Lido Shuffle (steak sirloin omelette) with breakfast potatoes and a veggie burrito with breakfast potatoes. The latte was good too and the customer service was pleasant. One suggestion I have is for the staff to make sure the cutlery is clean. I had to request for a new set as the one i was given was dirty. Portions were on the smaller side, my burrito reminded me of the size at Taco Bell; other than that it was flavorful. We will plan to try other items next time.

Been here twice, both times were very, Very good! The first time I had the fitness omelette and this time I had the chicken apple sausage plate. My friend had the chicken fried steak and he loved it: said he was stuffed! lol It's a cute, quaint spot where everyone is upbeat and hospitable, including the owner. Great breakfast and lunch options, a full bar, a baked goods & pastry case. Definitely worth checking out!

We tried this place for the first time today. The chicken fried steak, eggs, and sausage were very good but everything else was not. The strawberry cream cheese french toast had a very artificial flavor to it, the biscuit and gravy was very dry, and the potatoes were bland and not cooked properly. The server was very friendly and attentive. Maybe we will come back and try something else since most of the food was tasty and the service was good.

Biscuit & gravy

Place was packed! Got an order of biscuit & gravy. The biscuit was not fresh & was very dry. The gravy was fantastic though! Will try again for sit down & sample more of the menu.

Noroc gracefully hosted our Watch Party for the Turkey - Romania soccer game. I would like to…read moremention the excellent service we received and all the accommodations made to make our private event a success. Even though the result was not the one we wanted, we all lived the emotions of the match together. Maria and her partner excelled in serving our meals and drinks, making sure the taste was to our liking. I would greatly recommend the Borscht soup, the Olivier Salad, the Mici (grilled sausage) and Blini (cherry crepes) but actually there is nothing on the Menu that one wouldn't like. I can't wait to come back again. Thank you Sandu for hosting our event. You have a great team of waiters and cooks working for you.

My gf heard about this Bulgarian restaurant on the news. They were featured and there reviews…read morereally drew her to it. Her family is from the Eastern Europe. It was fun trying somewhere new as we usually go to our favorites. For the past several years we've been going to Scott's for celebrations, but that has gotten old so thankfully we found somewhere new and loved it. I highly reccomend this restaurant. The ambiance is spectacular. If you can get one of the side tables under the overhang with the wine bottle chandelier you'll love it. Here's what we ordered: Borscht with Beef: Traditional red soup made with beets, beef, garden vegetables topped with sour cream- To me it didn't look appetizing, but it's a traditional dish so we split a cup. We didn't have much hope that would be edible. We were blown away trying it. It was actually good. We were shocked. It was so good. It was filled with pieces of tomatoes and beets and huge tender chucks of beef. Spinach Blini-Gluten free, vegetarian, 6 blintzes filled with spinach and creamy white sauce. We really enjoyed these Spinach Blini. They were very rich. I could only eat two to them and took the third one with me to share with my husband. He really liked it and wish there was more. I really wanted to get the Cherry Blini, but we were too full even though we shared an entree. I'm so disappointed as they looked so good. We needed a couple more people at our table so we could have tried more dishes and eaten everything family style. Beef Stew-Tender chunks of beef meat, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms and this good things stewed in perfectly hearty cheese gravy baked in clay pot and served with tortilla on top. We split this dish and it was the perfect amount for us. It was really good. The chunks of potatoes and meat were huge, the mushrooms were firm, and the flavor was really tasty.
