Whenever I have the chance to stop at a new-to-me sandwich spot I jump at the opportunity. I was in Fair Oaks for some meetings and decided to make the detour to Good Eats Deli on my way home. Good Eats Deli is located in a Northridge Plaza with Planet Fitness, Raley's, and a few other businesses. There was plenty of parking and I was able to grab a spot near the business. They had one little table outside and a few small tables inside so you could enjoy your food right away. The team greeted me right away and I let them know it was my first time in. I ended up ordering the Salami Supreme ($13.99) that comes with your choice of bread, Genoa salami, turkey, ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and your choice of spread- I opted for Dutch Crunch and the pesto mayo for my choices. The sandwich also comes with a side salad or macaroni salad and a small cookie. I also ordered the Lamb Gyro Wrap ($14.39) with lamb gyro meat, diced cucumber, tomato salad, lettuce and housemade tzatziki sauce. This also comes with a side and small cookie. The sandwiches came out quickly and were a good size and value with the side and cookie for the price. The ingredients were fresh and the house sauces definitely elevated the experience. I hadn't had a gyro in a while so I claimed the wrap as my own and it didn't make it home. I also got to try the Salami Supreme and it was delicious with the pesto mayo on it. They have a lot of sandwich options on the menu and I'll definitely be back to try more. read more

I kept hearing that Good Deli Eats had the best sandwiches in Carmichael--apparently that's not even up for debate. So I figured I'd see what all the hype was about. When I walked in, the lady at the counter greeted me in the most unique way possible: by staring at me in silence until I made it to the register. Eventually, I got a menu and ordered the Turkey Chipotle and Chicken Pesto Club. I have to give credit where it's due--the sandwiches were delicious. The Chicken Pesto Club was packed with flavor, the marinated chicken was juicy, and the bacon tied everything together perfectly. The Turkey Chipotle was so good I went back for the second half later. That's when I got an unexpected extra ingredient: a long hair in my sandwich. Nothing kills a craving faster than that. As someone who works in the food industry, that's a pretty big miss and instantly ruined my appetite. Cookie? Mac salad? Straight to the trash. Finally got to try this cute little sandwich shop! We walked in and immediately smelled fresh bread and were greeted by a sweet woman who gave us menus. I got the club on Dutch. My husband got the ultimate club. It was delicious! I LOVE me some crunchy toasty bread. My husband, however, likes it a little less toasty so he's gonna do the regular French next time. Our sandwiches also came with pasta or regular salad, we both got the pasta salad and weren't disappointed! We also got a free cookie that was pretty good! Overall we will be back! Such a cute spot! It's a small little sandwich shop but they do have some tables on the inside. First time in Good Eats Deli and we were pleasantly surprised by our choices . Everything is hand made and baked fresh daily. We ordered the club sandwich and the pastrami Ruben with red sauerkraut (which is made in house and delicious) the breads are baked daily and the meals came with a small portion of macaroni salad and a chocolate chip cookie. I chose the extreme Italian on a dutch crunch roll to go. You have a choice of a spring salad or macaroni salad in addition to a warm soft cookie. The spring salad was fresh and tasted great with the balsamic vinegarette. All was DELICIOUS! I'd also like to mention that they pack your to go order very nicely. I observed that they have pickup/delivery. The sandwich was enough for 2 people. With the complementary fresh side salad and cookie, the $13 price is well worth this abundant meal. This is a solid little sandwich place. The prices and service are great. The bread was amazing! So fresh and soft and delicious. We got a tuna melt and a breakfast burrito. I feel with a few tweaks this place could be a 5. The tuna was great quality and very good. Some tweaks to the sandwich would be using thinner slices of crescent cut onions not small chunks (the sandwich does not come with onions but we asked for onions, I would advise this for any sandwich) Also not using chopped romaine for the lettuce, a leaf lettuce or iceberg would be better. But the sandwich was delish and I would order again. The breakfast burrito, it was lacking something, maybe onions and peppers? It could use more filling, I'd be willing to pay more for a fat burrito. I also did not care for the salsa that was on it. The Mac salad needs some seasoning. It didn't really have any flavor. I only did a pick up order at Good Eats Deli, and the food was delicious. I had a turkey and avocado, while my wife Sokny had a pastrami, extreme sandwich, and my Mother had the club sandwich. I could be wrong, but the owners of the restaurant were Mediterranean, that had the food already prepared by the time I got to the restaurant, and provided excellent service. The ambiance was quiet. Probably no more than 10 person capacity for sitting, so the primary goal for pick up orders. The restaurant is only open for a few hours per day. Came in with my husband for lunch after a tough morning and neither of us had the energy to cook. The lady behind the counter was very considerate and attentive. She noticed we here having a hard time reading the menu on the wall and handed us a couple of paper menus. I ordered the chicken Mediterranean sandwich and he ordered the smoked turkey sandwich. Everything about both of these sandwiches were delicious. The bread they were on was absolutely lovely. They also had a spring mix salad on the side with what I believe was a balsamic vinaigrette.
