My new favorite sandwich spot! I got the Chicken Chipotle and the Ultimate -- both come with your choice of salad or macaroni salad and a cookie (we love a complete meal moment). You can also choose between regular sandwich bread or a Dutch roll. The price point is solid, that's usually how I determine if it's "justified" lol... ifykyk. I have to say though that the chicken chipotle sandwich didn't have as much meat as I thought it would but the flavor was really good! I kept hearing that Good Deli Eats had the best sandwiches in Carmichael--apparently that's not even up for debate. So I figured I'd see what all the hype was about. When I walked in, the lady at the counter greeted me in the most unique way possible: by staring at me in silence until I made it to the register. Eventually, I got a menu and ordered the Turkey Chipotle and Chicken Pesto Club. I have to give credit where it's due--the sandwiches were delicious. The Chicken Pesto Club was packed with flavor, the marinated chicken was juicy, and the bacon tied everything together perfectly. The Turkey Chipotle was so good I went back for the second half later. That's when I got an unexpected extra ingredient: a long hair in my sandwich. Nothing kills a craving faster than that. As someone who works in the food industry, that's a pretty big miss and instantly ruined my appetite. Cookie? Mac salad? Straight to the trash. The food was honestly great, but finding a hair in my sandwich definitely took some shine off the "best sandwiches in Carmichael" title. read more

Such a cute spot! It's a small little sandwich shop but they do have some tables on the inside. I got their chicken pesto basil sandwich which comes with a small side of mac salad and a delicious chocolate chip cookie. I also got a soda and in total it was about $20 which is also including tip. The service was great and quick! I really commend coming checking this place out! I'll definitely be coming back to try some other sandwiches! read more

Finally got to try this cute little sandwich shop! We walked in and immediately smelled fresh bread and were greeted by a sweet woman who gave us menus. I got the club on Dutch. My husband got the ultimate club. It was delicious! I LOVE me some crunchy toasty bread. My husband, however, likes it a little less toasty so he's gonna do the regular French next time. Our sandwiches also came with pasta or regular salad, we both got the pasta salad and weren't disappointed! We also got a free cookie that was pretty good! Overall we will be back! This is a solid little sandwich place. The prices and service are great. The bread was amazing! So fresh and soft and delicious. We got a tuna melt and a breakfast burrito. I feel with a few tweaks this place could be a 5. The tuna was great quality and very good. Some tweaks to the sandwich would be using thinner slices of crescent cut onions not small chunks (the sandwich does not come with onions but we asked for onions, I would advise this for any sandwich) Also not using chopped romaine for the lettuce, a leaf lettuce or iceberg would be better. But the sandwich was delish and I would order again. The breakfast burrito, it was lacking something, maybe onions and peppers? It could use more filling, I'd be willing to pay more for a fat burrito. I also did not care for the salsa that was on it. The Mac salad needs some seasoning. It didn't really have any flavor. The cookie was good. I would definitely go back, but like I said a few tweaks and this place would be top tier. They are super nice and welcoming. read more

3.5 stars; Stopped in because I saw good reviews and was in the neighborhood. Very typical small sandwich shop. Great for a quick lunch. Quick service. They take tap and cash. Good sandwich, great cookie, not a fan of the Mac salad so next time I'll get the spring salad. Large menu with lots of variety and drinks in a case. Even some cool bottled sodas. I heard that this was a great neighborhood deli. I decided to try it. There are a few tables outside and seating inside. The interior is clean and bright. They have a display of the sandwich breads and other items they offer to go with your order. Customer service is excellent! Very friendly and welcoming. The menu has a good variety of sandwiches. I chose the extreme Italian on a dutch crunch roll to go. You have a choice of a spring salad or macaroni salad in addition to a warm soft cookie. The spring salad was fresh and tasted great with the balsamic vinegarette. All was DELICIOUS! I'd also like to mention that they pack your to go order very nicely. I observed that they have pickup/delivery. The sandwich was enough for 2 people. With the complementary fresh side salad and cookie, the $13 price is well worth this abundant meal. The employees warmly greeted me and handed me a menu, I had looked online at the menu previously so I had an idea of what I wanted but it was nice that they were so helpful and accommodating when I walked in. I ordered the natural veggie sandwhich on Dutch crunch, the sandwich came with a choice of side of garden salad or macaroni salad. I went with the macaroni salad. You also get a cookie with your order! There were several choices of spread I ended up choosing chipotle mayo. I want to start up by saying that I found out about this restaurant months ago, when my family and I were eating at divided sky Tavern. I only did a pick up order at Good Eats Deli, and the food was delicious. I had a turkey and avocado, while my wife Sokny had a pastrami, extreme sandwich, and my Mother had the club sandwich. I could be wrong, but the owners of the restaurant were Mediterranean, that had the food already prepared by the time I got to the restaurant, and provided excellent service. The ambiance was quiet. Probably no more than 10 person capacity for sitting, so the primary goal for pick up orders. The restaurant is only open for a few hours per day. Primarily for lunch, but if you get a chance to eat there, take it. read more

We finally stopped in to try their sandwiches. We both ordered the ultimate club on their fresh baked Dutch crunch bread. My husband had his with the pesto mayo and I had the chipotle mayo. We both had the macaroni salad. The sandwiches were a good size with plenty of meat. The macaroni salad was pretty good and so was the chocolate chip cookie that came with our sandwiches. Came in with my husband for lunch after a tough morning and neither of us had the energy to cook. The lady behind the counter was very considerate and attentive. She noticed we here having a hard time reading the menu on the wall and handed us a couple of paper menus. I ordered the chicken Mediterranean sandwich and he ordered the smoked turkey sandwich. Everything about both of these sandwiches were delicious. The bread they were on was absolutely lovely. They also had a spring mix salad on the side with what I believe was a balsamic vinaigrette. The dressing is strong so a little goes a long way. The greens were fresh and a nice compliment to the sandwich. Very small but cute interior with a place to sit outside as well. The 5 stars weren't lying this place is a gem! i had the pesto basil and my smoking hot gf had the turkey royal an she said it was the best thing she's ever put in her mouth, that made me kinda mad but then i took a bite of my sandwich and it was the best thing i ever put in my mouth! It's a small place with a few tables on the inside but again we got it to go so it didn't really matter. It's nice to have a place like this so close to home. Not sure how often I'll go but a great option if I'm in a pinch.

The day we went, we were looking for sandwiches to eat. Seeing the active smoker outside, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was BBQ Day! We ordered Georgia Peach Sweet Tea, Blackberry Mango Iced Tea, Cherry Cashew Coleslaw, Alabama Style Potato Salad, cornbread, 1/2 lb brisket and 1/2 lb pulled beef shoulder. The drinks were refreshing, the sides were so good I ordered more to go, and the meats were very tender & juicy. There was also a side of complimentary pickles that came with the meats that were quite tasty! My only criticism was the cornbread, hubby liked it but I thought it was too dry. Looking at the containers, it doesn't look like a lot of meat but we did have some leftovers. I see that their menu varies so I need to check them out soon and try their other BBQ offerings. Find them in a trailer in front of Home Depot. There's picnic tables available for dining.

I ended up ordering the Pepper Steak sandwich, the Italian Cold Cuts sandwich, a pepperoni pizza, and a side of mac salad. The pizza is a simple one, but had plenty of cheese and is perfect if you're craving it. The medium size they offer is perfect for sharing and could easily feed 2-3 people on its own. The pepper steak sandwich is one of the items they're known for and after taking a couple bites I could see why. The mixture of cooked meat, onion, and peppers along with the fresh bread, tomatoes and seasoning is so flavorful. The sauce soaks into the bread to make each bite delicious. The Italian Cold Cut was very unique. I had heard it's a favorite, but I didn't expect something as out of the ordinary. There's laters of meat and cheese on the bread l, and then there is a sweet pickle relish (like you'd put on a hotdog) and then plenty of chopped tomato and onion and sub sauce. The sweetness of the relish through me off, but works with the sandwich. Something interesting about both sandwiches is that they didn't have sandwich toppings like lettuce that wouldn't rewarm well. The chopped tomatoes and onion are great cold, but if you decide to reheat your sandwich they're still great. I don't know if this was the plan but it worked out well. The portion sizes on everything were also fair for the price, and the food was filling. I'm excited to visit again to explore more of the menu, including their meatball sub, pastrami, and cannoli.

The serving size for some of the dishes have diminished, for example, the Musolino Pasta. Considering the base is upon noodles, I'm surprised they're putting less into that rather than their fish. The sushi rolls and sashimi dishes we picked still had a lot of fish pieces and very very fresh. Just that one big ding on a non-sushi based dish and of course the prices. Aside from that, I still love coming here and the Fair Oaks location is still near and dear to my heart.

What a cute and charming little deli! The sandwiches were absolutely delicious and such a great value. Each sandwich comes with a side and a cookie, and let me tell you - that cookie was incredible! The salad dressing was also a standout. The guy taking my order was super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. My only hiccup was that the sandwich I ordered didn't mention mustard as an ingredient, so I didn't think to ask for 'no mustard.' I absolutely cannot stand mustard, so when I saw that bright yellow glob, I was a bit disappointed. I'm sure I could've asked them to remake it, but I'll take part of the blame for not being more specific. Thankfully, I just scraped it off and made it work. Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out for a quick, tasty sandwich. I'll definitely be back - just making sure to say 'No Mustard' next time! read more

Ya kinda already drove by the other one where you were wishing made that decision? If so, get ready to never make that horrible decision again! GOOD EATS DELI is hands-down the best thing since THE sliced bread (no pun intended) that the dad and owner(?) make themselves in the wee AM hours. Stumbled upon this amazing family owned deli. Let me tell you this was the best sandwich I have ever had in Sacramento. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. They bake their own rolls, make their own spreads and all sandwiches come with a side salad. I got the pastrami extreme on a French roll that had just come out of the oven. The chopped tomatoes and onion are great cold, but if you decide to reheat your sandwich they're still great. I don't know if this was the plan but it worked out well. The portion sizes on everything were also fair for the price, and the food was filling. I'm excited to visit again to explore more of the menu, including their meatball sub, pastrami, and cannoli.

Chunks of tender seasoned beef with sautéed onions and green peppers topped with chopped tomatoes. it was a decent sandwich. 2) Roast Beef sandwich: slices of beef and requested pickles and lettuce. another decent sandwich Each sandwich cost almost $18 (including tax). Even though the sandwiches were decent, the meat filling didn't really fill the sandwich roll end to end. So the value is just ok. Personally, Corti Bros in East Sac is still the "go to" sandwich location in sac. But if you are in the citrus heights area, give this place a try. It appears family owned which is a plus.

This would even be a great place to take out of town guests considering all the fun stuff that's nearby. Right across the street you have a Bingo Hall, batting cages and fu shops like a thrift store. You can go to the nearby food truck plaza for an after lunch coffee or sweet treat. I also like that you can order at the counter, so it takes a little bit of stress off of who's gonna pay the bill when the check comes. It's just predetermined and it all happens right out front! We were asked if you wanted to order coffee while we waited on our waitress which we did want coffee. We waited quite a while before our waitress came to take our orders. I ordered the Biscuits and gravy breakfast that which I wanted bacon and it comes with eggs cook to your liking. I wanted my eggs poached. The inside has plenty of seating since of the chairs do not match, I'm not sure if that's the look they were going for. Our food arrives and my biscuits are hard as a rock, the gravy is hot.. my eggs are not cooked poached and the bacon was cooked perfectly. I said something to my waitress about the hard biscuit and she apologized and walked off. I was a little confused? I finish eating my bacon and my non poached eggs. At this point I was waiting on my bill and ready to leave. The waitress comes back with the check and had the audacity to say, did you not like your biscuits abs gravy? Like, lady I told you the biscuits were hard as a rock I even hit them with my fork. She apologized again and said, she forgot I said they were hard. She asked me to give her a few minutes. She came back and asked if I wanted them remade I said, no and just wanted to pay my bill. This experience put a bad taste in my mouth. I still paid full price for my breakfast even though I didn't eat the biscuits. Oh well! Their prices are great, but that's about all. I probably won't be back. There are too many breakfast restaurants to receive subpar service.
