The sandwich came with a side salad (macaroni salad or spring mix salad) and a chocolate chip cookie. For the salad, I got the macaroni salad. I wasn't too much of a fan of the taste. I'll get the spring mix salad next time. However, I LOVED the taste of the sandwich and the cookie! The owners were super welcoming, friendly and kind. I recently tried Corti Bros and their Dutch crunch was pale and not crunchy - this was so good I cant get over it. I usually don't even like cheese on sandwiches but the provolone was smackin! Lazy Saturday around 1PM, and felt like trying a new sandwich place. I ordered one of the two vegetarian options, chips a bottle of root beer- about $20 including tip. The sandwich came with a prodigious amount of cheese, a just baked chocolate chip cookie and two choices of a salad- I opted for macaroni. They bake their bread at the store- it was super fresh. They were doing a brisk business, but sandwich came out within a few minutes. The cashier seemed friendly and it wasn't noisy, and the other customers seemed mellow (but not in the herbal sense).One walked out saying, "you can't beat a free cookie." We were greeted by extremely friendly staff who informed us that their bread is made fresh in house. I got the turkey royal and my husband ordered the chicken royal, both on dutch crunch. I almost always order sandwiches on dutch crunch bread when given the opportunity, and this has to be my favorite! Not so large you can't fit it in your mouth, but had the perfect crunch/softness ratio. The chicken slices were cooked well and the amount of sauce on the sandwich was not overwhelming. Big fan of this deli. The gluten free bread they offer for sandwiches is so incredibly good. Does not crumble in your hands and isn't half the size of normal bread. Worth the 25 minute drive for any sandwich on that bread. Ingredients are always fresh and sandwiches are a great size for the price. I had the yummiest Thai Chicken salad there earlier this week. The workers were cheerful, the place was bright and clean, the salad came out right away and it had the modification that I had requested ( no cucumber). All of the ingredients were amazingly fresh. Have been coming here almost every week for the last year. The only other sandwich spot I go to is Mendocino Farms which if you've had it this would be the closest competitor so very high praises. Family owned and operated and they very nice. The side/cookie inclusions are a nice surprise as well. Bread is pretty tasty I believe they make it in house and the quality of ingredients is fantastic. Real roast chicken, slow roasted tomatoes, homemade pesto, high quality cheese that even gives a cheese pull when it's nice and hot. My husband amd I tried this place out after hearing rave reviews. The service was cold and unwelcoming, super grmpy. The salad leavws were old and wilted, out sandwiches were not good. I had a ruben and it tasted like something went bad. The free cookies they give with each meal are dry like sawdust and the nuts in them tasted rancid. My husband and I ate lunch here today after seeing an article last week in SacBee on the Top 50 places to eat in Sacramento, according to Yelp. We live in Fair Oaks and were excited to see a place near home on the list. When we arrived, Good Eats was warm and cozy inside, and the woman at the counter was very friendly and offered us a physical menu with item descriptions. We thought it was so great that sandwiches come with your choice of organic spring mix salad OR macaroni salad, and a cookie (bonus!) and the lunch combo made it so we didn't need to get any chips as a side. I ordered the Pastrami Extreme and my husband got Chipotle Turkey Club. The bread had just come out of the oven and was warm and fresh. Both sandwiches were wrapped tightly and not messy at all once we started digging in. The flavors were excellent and produce was very fresh and crisp. The macaroni salad was very tasty, too. My husband said the chocolate chip cookie gave him a sensory memory from his childhood...eating sugar cookies waiting for Sesame Street on Ice to start lol.
