I enjoyed their gyro wrap sandwich which had plenty of filling in a light bread wrap instead of a pita which made it much easier to hold and just as tasty! Each sandwich comes with a choice of mixed greens in a light vinaigrette or a small container of macaroni salad and a very tasty chocolate chip cookie. They sell a variety of kettle chips and bottled beverages. There's about 4 tables inside and 2 outside. There's a menu on the wall and also on the counter which features more menu items. The sandwich came with a side salad (macaroni salad or spring mix salad) and a chocolate chip cookie. For the salad, I got the macaroni salad. I wasn't too much of a fan of the taste. I'll get the spring mix salad next time. However, I LOVED the taste of the sandwich and the cookie! The owners were super welcoming, friendly and kind. I ordered the Turkey Royal on the fresh homemade French roll, without the cheese and avocado. I ordered a very, very good macaroni salad, and they give you a cookie with your meal. Lazy Saturday around 1PM, and felt like trying a new sandwich place. I ordered one of the two vegetarian options, chips a bottle of root beer- about $20 including tip. The sandwich came with a prodigious amount of cheese, a just baked chocolate chip cookie and two choices of a salad- I opted for macaroni. They bake their bread at the store- it was super fresh. They were doing a brisk business, but sandwich came out within a few minutes. The cashier seemed friendly and it wasn't noisy, and the other customers seemed mellow (but not in the herbal sense).One walked out saying, "you can't beat a free cookie." Big fan of this deli. The gluten free bread they offer for sandwiches is so incredibly good. Does not crumble in your hands and isn't half the size of normal bread. Worth the 25 minute drive for any sandwich on that bread. Ingredients are always fresh and sandwiches are a great size for the price. My husband amd I tried this place out after hearing rave reviews. The service was cold and unwelcoming, super grmpy. The salad leavws were old and wilted, out sandwiches were not good. I had a ruben and it tasted like something went bad. The free cookies they give with each meal are dry like sawdust and the nuts in them tasted rancid. The workers were cheerful, the place was bright and clean, the salad came out right away and it had the modification that I had requested ( no cucumber). All of the ingredients were amazingly fresh. Family owned and operated and they very nice. The side/cookie inclusions are a nice surprise as well. Bread is pretty tasty I believe they make it in house and the quality of ingredients is fantastic. Real roast chicken, slow roasted tomatoes, homemade pesto, high quality cheese that even gives a cheese pull when it's nice and hot. My husband and I ate lunch here today after seeing an article last week in SacBee on the Top 50 places to eat in Sacramento, according to Yelp. We live in Fair Oaks and were excited to see a place near home on the list. Both sandwiches were wrapped tightly and not messy at all once we started digging in. The flavors were excellent and produce was very fresh and crisp. The macaroni salad was very tasty, too. My husband said the chocolate chip cookie gave him a sensory memory from his childhood...eating sugar cookies waiting for Sesame Street on Ice to start lol.
