The 5 stars weren't lying this place is a gem! i had the pesto basil and my smoking hot gf had the turkey royal an she said it was the best thing she's ever put in her mouth, that made me kinda mad but then i took a bite of my sandwich and it was the best thing i ever put in my mouth! Wow this place really went above and beyond. Great clean atmosphere and great customer service. If you want the best thing in your mouth get a sandwich from here! read more

Their sandwiches and wraps are huge and very filling. I enjoyed their gyro wrap sandwich which had plenty of filling in a light bread wrap instead of a pita which made it much easier to hold and just as tasty! Each sandwich comes with a choice of mixed greens in a light vinaigrette or a small container of macaroni salad and a very tasty chocolate chip cookie. They sell a variety of kettle chips and bottled beverages. There's about 4 tables inside and 2 outside. There's a menu on the wall and also on the counter which features more menu items. It's our new favorite deli! read more

The aroma in the deli is the I've ever smelt! My husband and I got the chipotle chicken and chicken pesto sandwiches to share. Freshest, tastiest sandwiches I think I have ever had. Everything was perfect from the freshly baked bread, crisp fresh veggies, macaroni salad and I can't forget the fresh hot baked chocolate chips cookies. 1000/10!!!!!! Customer Service amazing! I visited Good Eats Deli on Tuesday, 12/27/22, around noon. Food: I ordered the Chipotle Turkey Club Sandwich on a Dutch Crunch roll. The sandwich came with a side salad (macaroni salad or spring mix salad) and a chocolate chip cookie. For the salad, I got the macaroni salad. I wasn't too much of a fan of the taste. I'll get the spring mix salad next time. However, I LOVED the taste of the sandwich and the cookie! The owners were super welcoming, friendly and kind. The service was exceptional, because they were warm, friendly, and the sandwiches arrived quickly. I love the calm background music, it was relaxing. I ordered the Turkey Royal on the fresh homemade French roll, without the cheese and avocado. I ordered a very, very good macaroni salad, and they give you a cookie with your meal. It was warm and so delicious. The turkey was smoked, it came with pesto's mayonnaise, lettuce, bacon and tomatoes. I'm craving more. I live in the foothills, and I'm trying to come up with a plan to go back. I wish they had a sandwich business closer to me. read more

Lazy Saturday around 1PM, and felt like trying a new sandwich place. I ordered one of the two vegetarian options, chips a bottle of root beer- about $20 including tip. The sandwich came with a prodigious amount of cheese, a just baked chocolate chip cookie and two choices of a salad- I opted for macaroni. They bake their bread at the store- it was super fresh. They were doing a brisk business, but sandwich came out within a few minutes. The cashier seemed friendly and it wasn't noisy, and the other customers seemed mellow (but not in the herbal sense).One walked out saying, "you can't beat a free cookie." I haven't even left the parking lot but I had to write this. I had the Genoa Salami sandwich on a Dutch crunchand it was hands down the best sandwich I've had lately. I recently tried Corti Bros and their Dutch crunch was pale and not crunchy - this was so good I cant get over it. I usually don't even like cheese on sandwiches but the provolone was smackin! Went to Good Eats for the first time today. This is a rare deli that provides a wonderful verity of meals that include a side dish. Its ingredients are top quality and in addition it is a delicious sandwich that also feels healthy, including a choice of two roll types that are baked in-house. Local review- My husband and I were looking for a good quality sandwich to eat after a long hike and were pleasantly surprised by Good Eats Deli! We were greeted by extremely friendly staff who informed us that their bread is made fresh in house. I got the turkey royal and my husband ordered the chicken royal, both on dutch crunch. I almost always order sandwiches on dutch crunch bread when given the opportunity, and this has to be my favorite! Not so large you can't fit it in your mouth, but had the perfect crunch/softness ratio. The chicken slices were cooked well and the amount of sauce on the sandwich was not overwhelming. Big fan of this deli. The gluten free bread they offer for sandwiches is so incredibly good. Does not crumble in your hands and isn't half the size of normal bread. Worth the 25 minute drive for any sandwich on that bread. Ingredients are always fresh and sandwiches are a great size for the price. Pastrami is my favorite meat to get from here and is really great tasting. I'll be back as long as they keep having gluten free bread. read more

My husband amd I tried this place out after hearing rave reviews. The service was cold and unwelcoming, super grmpy. The salad leavws were old and wilted, out sandwiches were not good. I had a ruben and it tasted like something went bad. The free cookies they give with each meal are dry like sawdust and the nuts in them tasted rancid. The tables were not bussed and I didn't want to stay. The sandwiches at Safeway down the street are cheaper, taste great, the ingredients freasher, and the staff are friendly. read more

First off...my pictures are not great. We got two sandwiches and shared so the switch already happened. Owners were very nice. Place is really cute. Food was great. We got the extreme.pastrami and the Mediterranean chicken. Both of them were great. We tried both breads and they were both really good. I think I liked the Dutch a wee bit more. For sure going back when I'm in the neighborhood. They give a side salad (green or macaroni). I liked the green better. Macaroni could have used some salt...it's always easier to add than take away. I took my wife here last week and frankly we both liked the service and the food. With each sandwich you get a salad or macaroni and a chocolate chip cookie. They also make their cookies here fresh everyday. It was a great meal for under $12.50 not including drink. The service was excellent as well. It's truly a gem to have a hole in the wall deli open up nearby. They use freshly baked bread for their sandwiches, and they include a side salad or macaroni salad as well as a homemade cookie. There's laters of meat and cheese on the bread l, and then there is a sweet pickle relish (like you'd put on a hotdog) and then plenty of chopped tomato and onion and sub sauce. The sweetness of the relish through me off, but works with the sandwich. Something interesting about both sandwiches is that they didn't have sandwich toppings like lettuce that wouldn't rewarm well. The chopped tomatoes and onion are great cold, but if you decide to reheat your sandwich they're still great. I don't know if this was the plan but it worked out well. The portion sizes on everything were also fair for the price, and the food was filling. I'm excited to visit again to explore more of the menu, including their meatball sub, pastrami, and cannoli.

I was kind of curious about mixing feta and cheddar, but it was amazingly good. The saltines of the feta was a wonderful contrast to the creaminess of the cheddar cheese. Both cheeses went well with the entire crêpe. I was going to try one of the dessert crêpes, but after this thing, I was full. Next time I will come in specifically for a dessert crêpe. What a cute and charming little deli! The sandwiches were absolutely delicious and such a great value. Each sandwich comes with a side and a cookie, and let me tell you - that cookie was incredible! The salad dressing was also a standout. The guy taking my order was super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. My only hiccup was that the sandwich I ordered didn't mention mustard as an ingredient, so I didn't think to ask for 'no mustard.' I absolutely cannot stand mustard, so when I saw that bright yellow glob, I was a bit disappointed. I'm sure I could've asked them to remake it, but I'll take part of the blame for not being more specific. Thankfully, I just scraped it off and made it work. Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out for a quick, tasty sandwich. I'll definitely be back - just making sure to say 'No Mustard' next time! read more

Ya kinda already drove by the other one where you were wishing made that decision? If so, get ready to never make that horrible decision again! GOOD EATS DELI is hands-down the best thing since THE sliced bread (no pun intended) that the dad and owner(?) make themselves in the wee AM hours. Stumbled upon this amazing family owned deli. Let me tell you this was the best sandwich I have ever had in Sacramento. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. They bake their own rolls, make their own spreads and all sandwiches come with a side salad. I got the pastrami extreme on a French roll that had just come out of the oven. He said it was a good burger and satisfied his craving, but isn't something he'd specifically seek out. I got the pastrami burger with everything on it and thought it was delicious, but the pastrami was a bit overcooked and dried out so the texture was a bit hard to bite through with the burger and I found myself eating the pastrami separately from the burger. There's plenty of parking here and they have a drive through. I heard the milkshakes are great, so if we stop by again we'll try one.
