I had a pretty disappointing experience here. We only ordered two simple items, yet it took an unusually long time to get our food. What made it more frustrating was that the employees didn't seem to have any sense of urgency--there was a lot more focus on chatting with coworkers who were on their break than actually helping customers. There was only one other table with a couple ahead of us and they also seemed annoyed with the wait time for their food. For such a small order, the wait just didn't make sense. When the food finally came out, it didn't impress either. The sandwiches barely had any meat, and the nachos looked weak and underwhelming. Overall, the food just wasn't worth the wait. read more

It was not the fact that this location closes at 5pm and the teenagers working there were already cleaning and closing at 4:19pm; it was not even that their sandwiches are very expenses, not really their fault (its inflation); it was not even the fact that they screwed up the order when I ordered two sandwiches exactly the same (so it was not very complex); nor was it that they were touching their sandwiches with bare hands after cleaning the kitchen and not washing their hands first. Nope, it was the uncaring attitude that reminded me that successful Franchise businesses have an owner or at least a grown up on site. This place is run by teenagers and is supervised by teenagers. And unfortunately this place will have to fail before we can get a decent sandwich shop in my neighborhood. If I was the owner reading this review, I would recognize The failure and make adjustments to improve my business. Couple other minor points that piss off customers: 1. Don't use stale bread. 2. Cut the bread evenly, and not such that it is uneven with the top piece only having a very thin layer. 3. Let your employees know that just because a customer is very polite and accepting of their failures, does not equate to a happy customer. Losing just one regular customer is more costly than one might know at the time. In most cases you will never know this was the last time and last chance a customer was giving a business and your teenager employees blew it for good. 4. Lastly, hire at least one grown up. Truly shocked at the price, everything is locally produced, absolutely no tariffs we're involved in the pricing of this sandwich. This is not fine dining, just a pickup order. What has happened to America? The ingredients are $2.50-$3.00 max to make this sandwich, that's 800+ percent profit, when I can get the same sandwich from Bel Air for half that price. Im always hesitant ordering sandwiches. Sometimes it can be disappointing but this place did not disappoint. I got the Vegan Vibes sandwich. Let me say this, I've never had so much avocado at a great price. Lol. Everything about this sandwich was filling and really tasty. Even the vegan Gouda. I got it on a Gluten Free roll and it was really soft and not dense at all. I do wish it came with mustard or oil/vinegar but it was still a damn good sandwich nonetheless. Made sandwiches with barehands after ringing us up by the counter. I mean I'm okay with barehands making food but I'm not okay when it's likenot washed. Took forever to get my order ready, not very professional while serving and tending. They said they were new there. The place kinda reeks of leftover food and cleaning solutions. A few good things were that the ambience was quiet on certain hours and the music was nice so that's a star, and the decor was lovely: the huts were nice with the surfboards on the walls. I came in a few weeks ago and ordered a large woody and full Malibu. After I got home I realized that there were things missing from my woody. I called and spoke with a girl who told me that she would be happy to give me a free large sandwich the next time I came in. She was supposed to write it down on some board in the back. I came in today to get another large woody and a full Malibu. So glad I found a local Beach Hut Deli. I moved recently from the Bay Area and have been missing that location greatly. Fresh and plentiful food and the best salads. I really love this chain. This was my second visit to this location...okay, in two days, yes. So excited I found it I went back the next day. Both days I ordered the Sunrise on Dutch Crunch roll. The sandwich is so fresh, it is a pleasure to enjoy. The meat included (in this case, turkey, ham, and bacon) is so generously added, it can be hard to hold the sandwich while one eats it. A great problem to have. The sandwiches I had were 6" and 8" these days and they were more than enough. The first I got the Chef Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette (I am in love!) which was huge and taken home for dinner. Good move on my part as it is filling and again, fresh and tasty. When a salad is ordered, one is even given three choices of lettuce: Romaine, Iceberg, or Spring Mix. The Lemon Vinaigrette is one of my most favorite new fines for sure. There are about ten outside tables and some umbrellas to enjoy eating at the location. I'll be back so often! read more

LOVE their sandwiches and the variety they have. They always use plenty of fixings and never leave the sandwich looking tiny or puny in every way. Plus they have a great choice of potato chips! I've never waited long to get my food, even during the lunch rush. The place is relaxed and casual, and the staff meet that setting with how they treat customers: friendly and casual, like they know every person. After not visiting this Beach Hut Deli for sometime, I stopped in today to get their wonderful Reuben sandwich. At least, the last time I had it I thought it was the best Reuben I had ever had. This one left me quite disappointed. Soggy and not very appetizing at all. Not to mention, that this facility is in violation of the State of California ordinance that requires 'No Bare Hand Contact with Ready-to-Eat Foods'. Man so disappointed I have to leave this review. Went in and was expecting a decent bill due to all the costs going up and I usually go to the one on Fulton or in Folsom. So ordered my family's sandwiches and then ordered mine. Got nothing fancy but just a blt because beach hut is the only sandwich shop that makes a decent one that rivals what I make at home. Get home open my sandwich and boom barely enough bacon to make one half sandwich... gotta say that's the first time ever that's happened at beach hut. First time dining at a Beach Hut Deli. HB and I were impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. HB ordered the Ruben without cheese because he doesn't like Swiss cheese. Staff thoughtfully offered to sub a different cheese as they were making it but he's not a big cheese guy. I had the Super Salad with spring mix & spinach, and it lived up to its name! Nice combo of edamame, quinoa, avocado, corn, red onion, tomatoes, feta cheese with a lovely lemon garlic dressing. The reggae style music and decor gave our lunch a beach vibe. Four of us met at this establishment last Thursday. It was kind of a central location given three of the people lived in Rancho Murieta, Roseville, and East Sacramento. Definitely a good choice. Oh Beach Hut how I love you! Why is this place so good?! Any location I go to I have to try the Surfin' Bird to compare to the others and the bread here is so fluffy and soft! I love this place. I come in, literally, everyday. Ryan and his crew are amazing. Ashley, Kylie, and basically everyone I've encountered there have been AMAZING. Pleasant and professional, I've never had a bad order. There are sometimes a wait, but that's what you get when waiting for fresh quality food. I normally love this location, but today was a disappointment. The bread wasn't particularly fresh, and the person who made my sandwich mostly ignored my order from Door Dash. I don't mind paying $20 for a sandwich, but for Christ's sake make an effort to make it how I request it and don't skimp on little things like pickles, onions, and peppercinis. When I request that you don't add soaked lettuce to my sandwich, please take it as I sign that I don't want to munch on a waterlogged soggy sandwich like I did today. I was born and raised in Sacramento and this will forever be my favorite sandwich shop. I recently moved to Seattle and there is only 1 place that compared to how great this place is. My fiancée and I plan a visit to beach hut deli each and every time we come to Sac. I can't think of the sandwich name we get. I think it's the bikini but it's basically turkey, cranberry sauce, spouts, and cream cheese. It is jam packed with flavor and plenty big enough to leave you feeling stuffed. They also carry these chips that I have never seen anywhere else other than amazon and they are insanely good they're called Zapps voodoo potato chip!! O. M. G. That's all I can think to say. It's like a Cajun potato chip that is booming with greatness. It took everything in me not to each the bag lol read more

I found my favorite sandwich to date.
