I been coming to jersey mikes for a couple of years. I was visiting some family and decide to stop in to get a sub. I never really got greeted at the door. I walked in and all the team greeted me when I walked in with smiles. The energy that I felt and all the smiles that I got from the employees was amazing. It was a super clean store that I notice when I walked in. The food was great like always but the costumer service was unmatched compared to other Jersey mikes. I got my number 8 mikes way with cpr. This location is still a joke, never a real human response to what happened from when the owner tried to accuse me of stealing a cup in front of his store filled with customers while they joined in on talking down to me. I've been a regular at Jersey Mike's, and I've always had a good experience, often substituting ham for turkey without an issue. However, on two recent visits, the staff refused my substitution request. I'm disappointed by the sudden change in policy. I've never had issues going to other jersey Mike's subs. Ordering the sandwiches were fairly quick, the employees were very friendly and receptive to our preferences, and the sandwiches were full of meat. There was a line of course with the lunch rush, but the employees were quickly working through orders. Ernesto explained all of the options for each sandwich, including the different kinds of breads and cheeses and told us how we could personalize each one. Very friendly guy and he seemed to be manager because we overheard him training some folks throughout the lunch rush too. Sky finished up our sandwiches with the veggies and toppings and she made quick work of dressing them up with plenty of extras like their tasty relish. Can't get enough of that stuff! I got a mini turkey and my partner got the Italian. Both had plenty of meat for the price. Other chains totally skimp on the protein, but we'll definitely be back if they keep loading up these sandwiches! I think the most impressive part of the visit was how another person who came in after us asking for a gluten free sandwich and Ernesto pretty much guaranteed that the team cleaned up everything (and I mean everything from their cutting boards to the hot plate!) to make sure her order was free from contamination. Kudos to them for making sure that guest had a perfect experience from beginning to end. Other than that, the interior of the joint was very clean. As I'm an avid fan of sandwiches, I was happy that a "Jersey Mike's Subs" opened in Citrus Heights. And considering this particular location did not yet have a review, I had the honor and privilege of giving this new business its first Yelp review. Located in the heart of the Sunrise Marketplace in Citrus Heights, this particular location neighbors a Chipotle, MetroPCS, and Panda Express. And those of you that are wondering, it takes over the spot where Pinkberry stood for many years. I visited this location during the afternoon of Saturday 5/14/2022 at around 5:15pm. Since this was a brand new business, there were a ton of employees working; at least 8 during my visit. This means a ton of training while staff were taking turns making the sandwiches, handling the register, and sweeping the floors. They do have a sizable indoor seating area but no outdoor patio seating. There is also a self-serve fountain drink station as well as a refrigerator with cold canned/bottled drinks. I ended up ordering a mini size of their popular #2 "Jersey Shore's Favorite" which includes provolone cheese, ham, and cappacuolo. The standard bread they use is white and I added all the condiments including shredded lettuce, tomato, white onions, pickles, and their signature oils/vinegars that make their sandwiches so delicious. I also ordered a bag of kettle chips and a Stubborn soda to complete my sandwich. The ordering process was simple and efficient as what was expected with a full staff on deck. Overall, my sandwich was above average and delicious. They definitely did not skimp with the meat as I enjoyed that Jersey flavor that their sandwiches are known for. It's hard to say if this location will be a money maker so time well tell. Especially since there's so much competition in the area. But with a high foot traffic area in a popular retail shopping area, I think it should fare well. My rating for the Citrus Heights "Jersey Mike's Subs", an above average 4-stars. read more

One of my favorites and I bet it'll be one of yours if you try it! My other go-to sandwich is, I believe, their top seller... #13, The Original Italian, done Mike's way. That's the quintessential Italian Sub... and they do a great job with it. This place is great. Simple sandwich shop. I like that you can see them make the sandwich in front of you. I think it's a great price too. The regular size is the perfect size without feeling hungry or too stuffed. I do wish the onions were red onions not white onions but it's not a deal breaker to me, just wish that was an option. I went here once and was so impressed with the club sub I was craving it all week until I went back. I've ordered on the website which is super quick and easy. It also has a part that you can name each sandwich and they write the name on the sandwich so you aren't picking through the sandwich to determine who it belongs to. 5/5 would definitely go here again and again. I love sandwiches and have tried other places like firehouse, and they don't compare at all with Jersey Mikes! So my husband and I came in for the 2nd time tonight after everything yesterday. Tonight the food was so much better and tasted so good and was just better in all the way around we got the #9 regular and #13 and we took it home with us like last time and the management made sure we are taken care of after everything the 1st time. So our visit was good and fast and we could hear the employees this time and the restaurant was clean just like the time before. The only problem was that the girl employee didn't seem pleased that we came In tonight and everything and she knew we were coming in because I called hours before to say that and about the the last yelp review before this one and she gave us not so good looks and just her attitude was off , my husband and I talked about as we left the store and it wasn't her fault for the order we had a problem with it just happened. We will definitely be coming back because the food was really good tonight I just hope that the employees have a better attitude but the guy that was working was great as well. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the employees attitude tonight other then that everything was great and yes this is the closest restaurant of jersey mikes to us in Citrus Heights it's less then 1.2 miles away from our home. Ok this sandwich shop is very good. Service was excellent and the sandwich ingredients were fresh and lettuce looked like it was picked yesterday. I usually like Mr. Pickles, but lately the lettuce and avocado were old and moldy. So Jersey Mike's subs is my new go to. I got the turkeys with lettuce tomato and pickles. The Turkey was excellent tasting and I was very happy with price and taste. I think it was just about 9.00 out the door. After reading that Jersey Mike's, Citrus Heights is now offering a slow roasted chicken breast, I decided to place an order for a taste test. The offer gave double points, but that isn't what prompted my order. I admittedly reviewed the nutritional information and found sodium level quite high, but it isn't something I will eat everyday. I silo enjoy chicken breasts. The chicken was very tender and flavorful. The entire package made a very tasty sandwich. Ironically, my dog requested a taste. Although I've ordered many sandwiches and bowls from Jersey Mike's, this is the first time he's requested a taste. He absolutely loves chicken breasts and he seemed to enjoy it. I will order again, very soon, but perhaps in a bowl. That sounds like a great meal. As always, thank you to the morning employees who are extremely courteous and excellent sandwich makers! Just saw a YouTube video that ranked Jersey Mike's the national chain for subs. Yelp showed a sandwich that looked worth trying. I get to their sandwich shop and do not see my sandwich listed. Lots of sand wishes listed on the board, with numbers next to them but there are more missing numbers than those shown; the numbers are meaningless. I got my sandwich and wanted a drink but they only had Pepsi products. I get home and notice no napkins were included! The whole experience was frustrating and the sandwich was mediocre, at best! I usually don't write reviews about chain restaurants but the staff here deserves a shout out. I come in around lunch time and never have I ever seen a staff as happy to work as this one. So both 2 sandwiches were made wrong and spoke with a gentleman (A manager, my apologies I forgot his name) about what happened. He was very apologetic and was very sincere about fixing the issue which him and his staff did. I am truly grateful for folks in the service industry that take their work seriously, unlike some of their competitors "flimsy johns" that would charge the same amount of money and then give you a fraction of a sandwich. It's always so good when we come here. The food is always fresh. The service is always great. We normally order online and it's always delicious and never really late. When it's supposed to be done it's usually ready. Love the cheesesteaks or the chicken cheesesteak is my favorite. The giant is humongous and can be shared between two people.
