Some of our favorites are the baguette with dill, the original croissants, Chinese chicken salad, Asian noodle salad, the California turkey sandwich, the American turkey sandwich, and the La Bou Club, plus a few others I'm probably forgetting. Easily the BEST La Bou in town! The most delicious tuna melt and cranberry turkey sandwich we've had. Not to mention the soft, pillowy pastries and extra drink offerings like thai tea and chai, which elevated the meal even more. The service was amazing and we were left with smiles on our face as the employees explained each item and showed incredible warmth, kindness, and patience. The food is very, VERY mid- The sacramento area has so much to offer, so there are a hundred better places that this! I had a basil chicken panini, and it was just disastrous looking sandwich, but regardless of the look- The chicken was very chewy, unseasoned, only one side of the sandwich had basil and was soggy, and wasn't flavorful at all. not worth the coins you shell out. 2/10 Their chicken noodle soup tasted like canned soup, but had larger chunks of chicken. Service: They have a specific area for online pickups and for placing an order. It was a decently busy- so the line for the non pickups had a few people in it. There was a cashier helping them out, and there was a guy helping out a customer in the online pickup. i placed an online order, so naturally i went to pick up my order in the online pickup area. I waited for the cashier to finish up with the customer in front of me. and told the guy i had an order to pick up under my name. He just ignored that and seemed almost upset or annoyed and proceeded to start talking to the customer in the non pickup line? and asked her if she was next?? The lady was chill. and i repeated my order is right behind you, and said im just picking up. To me, it just seems odd that they have an online pickup section, yet they disregard those that use it? I just feel like the cashier could have said,"Are you picking up or placing an order because the line starts back there for ordering." Turning around, picking up the order, reading the name, and handing it to me would take 30 seconds. Tops. Mind you, the parking lot was TOTALLY full and people were double parking, so i wanted to be in and out. I usually don't go too hard on the service staff, but this one was just an odd experience, and i felt dismissed. beware that parking lot gets FILLED and people were double parking. I was pretty taken aback that something as simple as chicken noodle soup (with 2cubes of chicken and excess of onions) and avocado on toast ( a folded pierce of sandwich bread with black avocado) could be so badly made and presented in such a eye sore of a manner. Here is my two cents on the quantity quality and presentation of my delivery.. my delivery was done with care by Uber eats driver. He did a good job locating my apartment... I love apricots and they offered an apricot croissant. I took three bites into my croissant, and there was no apricots for five dollars. I consider this a rip off. .. especially when it cost me $4.50.... yes, it was fresh, but where the hell are the apricots? I also ordered a roast beef and cheese panelll sandwich for $15. The question is where is the beef? Where is the flavor? It was too small it barely fit it in the palm of my hand. .. for $15 I could've got three big Macs or four sandwiches from Arby's.. And now we come to the salads $10 each maybe salads are labor intensive I could've gotten a salad two times at Burger King or call Junior for the same size.. Not the best customer services. Ordered over $50 of food with a salad, bread bowl soup, sandwich croissant , blended coffee& there know baguette, and ranch. They gave me at $15 croissant which was half the size of my hand. - sarcastic service and when they FORGOT my coffee the other lady employee tried to say i didn't pay for it and didn't even bother to ask for my receipt to CONFIRM i had paid. Then someone else had to step in to help- i ask for a splash of flair to be added become i forgot. The Carmichael location is the best out of all the locations in Sacramento. You can taste a difference in this location's food over all of them. The sandwiches and soups are all really fresh and amazing. The Dill dressing is to die for. They have a seasoned staff which know their customers. Everyone is always friendly, and food is always good. Go early if you want the pastries, they go quickly. :) I would recommend eating here at the Carmichael location. read more

I would dip anything in there... stopped in for lunch after the gym and ordered half soup (spicy thai chicken) and half sandwich (Turkey cranberry always) and my son got a half ham and cheese. They accidentally charged us for a whole sandwich which I realized once it came out. The manager gave us the difference back and said there was a new employee. Food was great as it consistently is here. One star off for bathrooms needing attention and over charging us. I alerted staff about the bathrooms and they did nothing. CHECK YOUR ORDER, RECEIPT AND CHANGE. It pains me to edit this review. But I get displeased when it come to poor customer service. Went in this morning and for my croissant and coffee with my wife. The usual order is two croissants and two coffees charged to my credit card. Was charged for 3 croissants and one coffee. An overcharge difference of $0.65. Not so much a big deal. But I pointed this out to the server who was right way defensive, opened the till and gave me back only $0.41. I'm not a person who likes to argue, so I'd accepted the change, had my croissant coffee and with wife and went on my way.
