My wife and I stopped in today about noon. I was wanting something breakfast-like and she wanted a lunch so this seemed like the perfect place. It was busy, but we were seated immediately. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The eggs and sausages were cooked well. The biscuit was BIG and smothered in their delicious gravy. I was so hungry but had to bring half the biscuit home. Renee, our server got us our drinks immediately after sitting down and never let them get more than half empty. I was craving a delicious turkey dinner and decided to stop by my neighborhood diner It was just after 5:00 PM, so we just missed the Early Bird Special which runs weekdays from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and is a fantastic meal for a bargain. The place was quiet, so we got quick and excellent service. My husband ordered the French toast with a side of bacon. I ordered the roasted turkey dinner which came with a choice of soup or salad, so I opted for the chicken noodle soup. The meal was filling and delicious and of course there was plenty leftovers to take home. Lumberjack may not be fancy, but tastes like a meal mom would make and at a reasonable price. read more

Feel super bad even writing this review- but our waitress (an older woman) seemed a little flighty and spilled the hot tea I ordered in my lap. It got all over my pants, and she cursed trying to wipe it off the seat. It could have been a super bad burn but luckily I saw it coming and scooted over pretty quickly. read more

The breakfast specials are a good value, the biscuit is humongous if quantity is what you like and I've had good service every time, except once when the food did not arrive hot enough. The large statue will tell you were to turn in to have a sit down meal with fast service. We were seated right away and had a hard time picking just one dish. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachaches. The biscuits were bomb and the omelet was on point. The coffee will wake you up for sure. Even grow some hairs on your chest from the strength. Gotta say it's been quite a while since we've been there, but they STILL are whipping out the chicken fried angus steak and the fried liver SMOTHERED in crispy bacon and gently cooked onions. They don't skimp on their sides either. I enjoyed mashies w country gravy to complement my CFS, and a small side salad. Brought half home for lunch today. DH ate all his liver n onions. He enjoyed every bite too. Their music is pretty much mellow country, the coffee is hot, and so was my mint tea. Not one complaint to be voiced. Service was the usual kind folks and fast prep. One of my favorite breakfasts is hash browns, eggs and a biscuit and gravy. I like to put some of the sausage gravy on the hash browns. Two things usually create obstacles to this breakfast idea. Hardly anyone does actual shredded and fried hash browns. They're all doing breakfast chunky potatoes or those godawful frozen potato squares, or potatoes o'Brien or plain rough chopped home fries . And gravy is usually hit or miss. I saw that Lumberjacks does actual hash browns and their gravy is billed as "homemade." Even though it's a small chain, and I was not sure the gravy would pass muster, I decided to give it a try. Ordered a half order of their biscuits and gravy, two over-medium eggs and a side of hashbrowns through DoorDash for about $30 delivered. Eggs were good and arrived over-medium. Hash browns were decent. I appreciated that they were crispy but not overdone and not overly seasoned. The half order of biscuits and gravy was huge. The biscuits were fluffy and pretty good, if a tad salty. But that gravy. Nope. I didn't think it tasted homemade. Now maybe they've got it premixed or something and they add the meat bits later. I don't know, The texture was good. But the flavor had an off-putting chemical-like aftertaste that I did not like and that did not taste homemade. Plus, I felt the pricing was on the high side which I was willing to pay if it was all truly homemade, but I don't think it was. So that's why they get three stars. That gravy. We went to Lumberjacks the morning before Christmas. Already tired of cooking, we were keen to let someone else do it for us, and they did very well! Classic "comfort food," including chicken-fried steak, Eggs Benedict, waffles, pancakes, etc. Simple food but done very well. And the portions? Easily big enough to share. Rustic atmosphere, which is fine, but the service was very good. Our server, Mary, was on the spot with water, coffee, and anything else we needed. Cheerful, friendly and helpful. High marks there. Came in earlier today and Nick was our server, he made alot of good suggestions as it was our first in! We had the pot roast grilled and the ultimate hungry jack. He was very busy but still gave us all the attention we needed. The other girl (Jenna is think) super sweet she was busy but everyone was happy. Overall lumberjacks is a good place I never had a bad experience untill today I go to pay and I guess my tip for waiter (TIANA) wasn't good enough mind you how does she not know the dollar tip was all I had in my pocket and i just gave you my last..peoples selfish and inconsiderate approach to a situation is disgusting we were a party of 2 and our friend was going to add a tip as wel.l my wife went to hand her 10 but as a man nothing comes out of her pocket that's how I am..I never been so upset off the comments coming from this young lady..she said I could have kept my little 3 dollar tip and she would have been ok. Amazing service! There were 25 in our group at 11am on a Sunday morning. Our server was Mary and WOW! Every order was correct, no problem for her to do individual checks, she was efficient, cheerful and friendly ! My little sis invited me to come here. I had only been here once previously many years ago, and I was not too thrilled with that experience. As she and my nephew wanted to take me out and suggested her, it was time for this place to get a chance at redemption. Our waitress was very friendly, and engaging in both general talk and food suggestions. I had previously ordered a cheese omelette many years ago (a standard go to at a "new" place), and I remember it being extremely rubbery, leading to me not returning. As such, I was wondering if I should steer away from breakfast, as it was also now 2:00 oclock. Our server recommended breakfast, so I thought to give the most important meal of the day a second chance. When I ordered the chicken fried steak, our server said I ordered the most popular dish. I will admit, it tasted pretty good. The gravy was hot, the steak was crunchy but not dry inside, and the biscuit was nice and fluffy. My sis and bro-n-law go here a lot, and they have their favorites, and cleared their plates. I would say this is a pretty standard "good, not amazing" diner, based on what one orders. Prices are on the "higher" side (relative, I know) but the food was a big portion, so it is what it is. If suggested, I would come back, but just avoid the omelettes. read more

On Valentine's Day, everywhere was packed and we just needed food. My date saw this on our drive and was like why not try that. We were able to get a seat fast, and the customer service was really friendly and got everything right. The food was alright, not bad but not great. I got one of the tri tip sandwiches and my date got the ultimate ribeye steak. My sandwich didn't really have much meat, one side of the sandwich only had two pieces of meat but the fries were great. My date said their ultimate ribeye was really chewy and left them with an upset stomach as the night went on. It was nice to try somewhere new, maybe will try them for breakfast but I can't say for certain that will be going back so soon. read more

I'm only giving 4 stars on the food because of my Fiesta Chicken wrap was pretty basic. However, the 1lb Burger was amazing! The meat is juicy and the bread is soft. And you get pudding with whipped cream all for the UMBELIEVABLE price of $11.99. I think I don't need to cook anymore, I mean what's the point, the chicken fried steak & eggs, pure heaven. The steak and eggs ta boot! I think I have to come in no less than 3 or 4 times a week, because this place is clean, efficient staff and food is consistantly good. I going to have to try everything on the menu! I like the cozy diner feel of this place the best.
