My love and I were in search of nourishment to fortify us before a later showing of Nosferatu (2024) recently, so he popped onto the yelp Machine to see what he could find near the trusty Greenback cinema. This place popped up and away we went. It's a sort of hut situation in the middle of a sloped parking lot, but not hard to find. A bit shabby but clean inside, with a handful of booths and a take out counter. There wasn't a whole lot on the menu (not sure if vegan friendly) to excite a hungry vegetarian, but I did not mind as I wanted him to pick. I wasn't sure what I was about to subject him to visually. I mean, I was pretty sure buuuuuut a lot changes in 100 years. We got a big order of fries to share, and I won't lie that was my favorite part. Lorge, Thicccc, crinkle-cut, well-cooked, well- seasoned french-fried pataters. Noice. My "small" veggie sandwich was decent, and plenty to eat for something labeled small. Veggies and provolone were fresh but the bread was meh. I would eat it again but wouldn't go out of my way for it. They have wangs, hot and cold sammiches, and many fried things including vegetables. Dave got something saucy on a bun that satisfied him. We also had some fountain drinkies. The lady working the register was kind and helpful as we regarded the menu for a few minutes before ordering. Today I came to this establishment to feed my family. I was greeted right away by a woman at the counter and went ahead and ordered two sandwiches, two hamburgers, and drinks. After a few additional add-ons, our total came out to around $100 for the meal. Food-wise, I understand prices with how things are today, but in reality, it didn't quite match the cost. The fries were fresh, but not crispy at all. The sandwiches felt like they had more veggies than meat, almost like filler. My kids ordered basic bacon cheeseburgers with minimal toppings, and they said theirs were fine, nothing special. Overall, the experience was just average. Not what I remember at all. I haven't had Granites in years and I know they have since got new owners but man was I let down. The Philly Cheesesteaks used to be loaded with steak and cheese sauce. Now they barely put any meat on and a slice of cheese. Way too much bread now with the small portion of meat. To make the old style sandwich you would have to do double meat and add the cheese sauce to it. Making it probably a $30+ Philly Cheesesteak. For 2 sandwiches, 2 fries, and 2 drinks it was $40... It was also 90 degrees today and they had the a/c shut off every 5min for about 10min and had portable fans blowing hot air, not a comfortable dining experience either. I have lived around the corner from this place for a few years this is my first occasion to go in there my son goes in there frequently he really loves chicken wings. I ordered garlic parmesan wings and he ordered some hotter wings along with some french fries. The place is clean and the servers are friendly and they are observing social distancing guidelines as required right now. This is a place I would visit again. they definitely sell things here alright. the lady running the joint is incredibly efficient and kind. knows exactly how to tend to her customers. don't know who Granite is but there are a lot of things on their menu, perfectly catering to everyone's own craving at that time. inside the restaurant is a little tacky and has definitely deteriorated over time but they keep it as clean as possible. gives me diner in the 80s vibes. all in all, their things do not disappoint. read more

Ordered several different steak sandwiches. A ham sandwich, a "spicy" Korean beef sandwich that was overly sweet and had no spice and was soggy. The sides were decent. I was hungry for an old style sandwich of some sort when I found this place on the internet. I used to visit another location of the same name, but I believe it was owned by others. I had the poorest excuse for a sandwich today. The sandwich is called a BLTCT and A or bacon lettuce tomato cheese turkey and avocado. For 12 bucks I expected to get some substance on that sandwich. The avocado was one thinly sliced piece of brown limp avocado, A little tomato a little lettuce and a piece of bacon. The taste was pretty good but it didn't taste like 12 bucks to me. I come here on a regular basis because there is something about their buffalo wings that keep bringing me back. They have a very mom & pop diner vibe to them. I really enjoy the look of the place because it somewhat reminds me of a 50's diner. My boyfriend and I come in here so often that the owner knows us by name. It's those little things that make this place stand out from the rest. Their sandwiches are always made with TLC. Their wings are absolutely PHENOMENAL. Extremely disappointed with the "inferno wings" we ordered. My family has been coming here for years and we're usually never disappointed. They were hardly sauced and the incorrect sauce. Inferno (our usual) is supposed to be spicy and this had nothing but a few dashes of franks hot sauce. My husband gave the sandwich to the dogs. I threw out the wings (too saucy for the pups plus bones). Also, just an FYI, the location isn't the best. I'm glad to see they're still in business especially during these COVID times. I had to wait for my food a little but the owner was SUPER apologetic.
