Found this gem while visiting Sacramento. Believe me when I say, it does not disappoint! The staff were super friendly and helpful in navigating through the menu. We chose to be seated outside. The outdoor seating was clean and welcoming. Our waitress, Alejandra recommended the guava mimosa... not on the menu. If you enjoy a mimosa and have not tried guava, highly suggest you try it! We ordered the chilaquiles, spinach Benedict & garden omelette. Everyone enjoyed their plate very much. The only suggestion was that when ordering the chilaquiles you requested extra sauce on the side. We felt they were a bit dry. But, the flavor was delicious! Loved the spinach Benedict with potatoes. This hole in the wall breakfast spot is a cute gem. I hadnt heard of the Brunch Corner before, but now will make sure to take my parents there when they're in town. The menu has a little of everything that you might crave with fairly reasonable prices. My Mexican coffee was good, but I think a little pricey given the amount of foam thats included. Our server was nice, but given how her tables were set up I think she forgot about us for a little while. Or, she just couldnt get to us as often since the others may have kept her busy. We sat by the door, and just a note that the door does slam often with folks walking in and out. So if you're trying to not experience that you may want to ask for a different location. there is a small parking lot but is often full so you may need to park on the street in the neighborhood behind it. I believe this place used to be a Mexican restaurant, but it's now been converted into a brunch spot. There is seating inside and also outside on the patio. The patio is super cute, green, and shaded. The staff are friendly and attentive. Parking is limited and the layout is a little weird, but it's free. The menu is pretty diverse. There are many options for mimosas, which other places do not provide. The food is delicious and presentable, but it does take a while to receive. My potatoes were seasoned well and crispy. The bacon wasn't too chewy and had a bit of char. The toast was buttered well. They do have jelly already available on the table, along with salt and pepper. All in all, it's a great place. My family came today for the first time from Folsom. From the photos and Yelp reviews, we were excited to have brunch here. When we arrived, after our 20-30 min drive, we were met with a small parking lot and what seemed like a long wait with people waiting outside. With a toddler and newborn, we still decided to wait it out. We were given a 20 minute wait time but it ended up being more like 45 minutes. We were eventually called and seated outside, not even given a choice. As we were hungry at this point we took what we got. The patio area is super nice but with two little ones, the sun shades barely provided any shade so it got really hot really quickly. I'd recommend this area on a cooler day. Let's jump to the service...which was barely any from our experience. Another couple got seated next to us and were quickly served while it still took us another 15 minutes to be noticed. Since we had the longer wait, we ordered everything to make it a quicker service. The food did come out quickly as the hostess who came maybe twice to check on us tried explaining something to us but the thick accent made it difficult to understand what she was trying to say. The food was 10/10 but at this point it was at least 85 degrees outside which made it almost unbearable. We quickly finished so we could leave. Anyone coming from more than 15 minutes away, I would advise against this place and find something closer to home or come on a random weekday if your schedule allows. Unfortunately we won't be coming back. Also, this isn't a family friendly area as they don't have changing tables in their bathrooms. read more

I am soo glad we happened in here today! I have literally traveled across this country trying biscuits and gravy to find the best ones in every city I have visited. Believe it or not, my favorite is right here in Carmichael! The biscuits were perfectly fluffy and tender and can stand on their own. Once you add the gravy, these topped the all of the rest. We came here one Sunday morning after mass in Carmichael and were overall pleased with the quality of food and reasonable prices. We got eggs over medium with potatoes and a meat omelette (I think it was beef or carnitas, it was the hubby's), the energy booster juice, and a hot latte. The energy booster unfortunately was missing the cucumber as they said they didn't have it but we ordered it anyway. The service was ok, the server we had was more in a hurry. The ambiance was packed and a bit on the dirty side. Looking at the floor, it looked like it could use a scrub. I was so sad to see Rey Azteca go but we were excited to try a new brunch place with great reviews. My fresh squeezed juice was delicious and the blueberry pancakes very very yum. I was disappointed though as our veggie crepe was barely edible. The Swiss cheese was just too much and tasted overly processed or something. The service was spotty as well and seemed disorganized although our main server was very kind and attentive. This was our first time trying this restaurant and it was packed! When we got in and sat down (didn't take long) we could see why. The service was top notch, they were so friendly and attentive. The place is small inside but there is outdoor seating as well. We didn't feel crowded at all. Now the food! Hubby got the chorizo scrambled I think it was. It was not too greasy, a little sweet and delicious! The potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft inside just like we like it! I had the carnitas omelet with the same delicious fried potatoes. First time here and the overall ambiance, food and service were awesome! I had the blueberry pancakes with bacon and scrambled eggs. He shared my food because they don't have muffins except on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Warning: They put Nutella on the plate before they put the pancakes down. Not a fan of Nutella so that kinda ruined it for me. The bacon is advertised as maple bacon but I didn't taste any maple. We will definitely be back but I won't order blueberry pancakes again. Nice little place. Very small, max capacity is 70. We got the chips and salsa to share and my husband got a chicken sandwich and I got a savory ham crepe. His sandwich was massive and delicious with the freshly fried chicken on it. My crepe was good, it had honey mustard on it which complimented the ham perfectly. My one qualm is the salsa is heated up and comes out hot with the chips and salsa. Not a big deal just not my cup of tea and I had to ask for cold salsa. All in all it's a good little brunch spot. After reading a couple reviews I was so looking forward to trying The Brunch Corner. When we arrived we stepped inside and were asked for our name and number to be added to the waitlist, after providing that info we continued to wait inside by the bar for our turn. A server told us we were not allowed to wait there. When we asked where we should wait she said 'Outside'. The weather was in the mid 40's (a bit too chilly to wait) in addition there was no sort of waiting room or shelter and no chairs or benches on which to sit while waiting. If the owners expect their guests to wait outside they should provide some sort of shelter from the weather and include seating. read more

Had a great brunch today on New Years Day! It was packed, so it's nice to see that the new restaurant concept is a hit in Carmichael. Our group got the carnitas breakfast burrito, Santa Fe omelet, chicken pesto crepe, and the crispy chicken Swiss sandwich, all with country potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and they give you a ton of food - enough to take home and have later. The service was also friendly, and I think the new decor is really cute and bright. My only critique is the the hot chocolate was not the best (not particularly chocolatey or hot enough), and the country potatoes could use more flavor (I wish I could give 4.5 stars), but we will definitely be back read more
