This was our first time trying this restaurant and it was packed! When we got in and sat down (didn't take long) we could see why. The service was top notch, they were so friendly and attentive. The place is small inside but there is outdoor seating as well. We didn't feel crowded at all. Now the food! Hubby got the chorizo scrambled I think it was. It was not too greasy, a little sweet and delicious! The potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft inside just like we like it! I had the carnitas omelet with the same delicious fried potatoes. Our meals came hot and fresh! We both still had plenty left to make breakfast burritos before work the next morning! I was so sad to see Rey Azteca go but we were excited to try a new brunch place with great reviews. My fresh squeezed juice was delicious and the blueberry pancakes very very yum. I was disappointed though as our veggie crepe was barely edible. The Swiss cheese was just too much and tasted overly processed or something. The service was spotty as well and seemed disorganized although our main server was very kind and attentive. The outdoor seating area was nice for the morning, inside does feel a little cramped but that's what you expect for a small popular brunch place! Came here to try some place new and they didn't disappoint! First of all it's a nice little place and space is very limited and it's pretty busy. They had a line wrapped around a corner of the building. The wait was around 25/30 mins. This was on a rainy Sunday around 1030am. The menu great things to offer like seasonal stuffed French toast and variety of crepes but we stuck to classic breakfast. The Sunrise Brunch Sweets was great. The pancakes were perfect fluffy, filling and shaped like Mickey. If that bugs grow tf up lol. Has a little sweetness that I couldn't tell if it was the powdered sugar or the actual pancake. The mimosa is a mimosa so how can you really go wrong. Theirs are on more natural ingredients. Like freshly squeezed juices. Wish I for a cup of OJ! Also got their Biscuits and Gravy Combo. It was amazing. If you're a biscuits n gravy connoisseur like myself but appreciate the original scratch made everything. This is it. The biscuits were moist n had the right thickness/density. The gravy to biscuit ratio is what impressed me! Usually there ain't ever enough gravy but this had the perfect amount. Which means there's extra gravy yo get with your last bites! The fries, the type potato's I chose, were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Seasoning was on point. The service was as great. They checked on us just the right amount times considering how busy they were. And we are a family of 6 3 adults 3 kids all 3 and under. First time here and the overall ambiance, food and service were awesome! I had the blueberry pancakes with bacon and scrambled eggs. He shared my food because they don't have muffins except on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Warning: They put Nutella on the plate before they put the pancakes down. Not a fan of Nutella so that kinda ruined it for me. The bacon is advertised as maple bacon but I didn't taste any maple. We will definitely be back but I won't order blueberry pancakes again. I am soo glad we happened in here today! I have literally traveled across this country trying biscuits and gravy to find the best ones in every city I have visited. Believe it or not, my favorite is right here in Carmichael! The biscuits were perfectly fluffy and tender and can stand on their own. Once you add the gravy, these topped the all of the rest. The gravy was just the right consistency. The balance of flavors was the best I have had. My wife had the French toast with berries and cream that she also loved. LOVED this place! We happened upon this place when we were on the hunt for a new brunch spot and we were very glad we tried this place. It's a small and quaint spot, a few seats at the bar, some outdoor seating. We had about a 20 min wait, they text you when your table is ready. The mimosas were good, the food was delicious, and the staff was super helpful and friendly. The food came out quickly and it was delicious. We came here one Sunday morning after mass in Carmichael and were overall pleased with the quality of food and reasonable prices. We got eggs over medium with potatoes and a meat omelette (I think it was beef or carnitas, it was the hubby's), the energy booster juice, and a hot latte. The energy booster unfortunately was missing the cucumber as they said they didn't have it but we ordered it anyway. The service was ok, the server we had was more in a hurry. The ambiance was packed and a bit on the dirty side. Looking at the floor, it looked like it could use a scrub. Nice little place. Very small, max capacity is 70. We got the chips and salsa to share and my husband got a chicken sandwich and I got a savory ham crepe. His sandwich was massive and delicious with the freshly fried chicken on it. My crepe was good, it had honey mustard on it which complimented the ham perfectly. My one qualm is the salsa is heated up and comes out hot with the chips and salsa. Not a big deal just not my cup of tea and I had to ask for cold salsa. All in all it's a good little brunch spot. After reading a couple reviews I was so looking forward to trying The Brunch Corner. When we arrived we stepped inside and were asked for our name and number to be added to the waitlist, after providing that info we continued to wait inside by the bar for our turn. A server told us we were not allowed to wait there. When we asked where we should wait she said 'Outside'. The weather was in the mid 40's (a bit too chilly to wait) in addition there was no sort of waiting room or shelter and no chairs or benches on which to sit while waiting. If the owners expect their guests to wait outside they should provide some sort of shelter from the weather and include seating. read more

Had a great brunch today on New Years Day! It was packed, so it's nice to see that the new restaurant concept is a hit in Carmichael. Our group got the carnitas breakfast burrito, Santa Fe omelet, chicken pesto crepe, and the crispy chicken Swiss sandwich, all with country potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and they give you a ton of food - enough to take home and have later. The service was also friendly, and I think the new decor is really cute and bright. This is the brunch spot our neighborhood has been dying for!! We made our first trip to the Brunch Corner on a Saturday around 11:30am. Although it was quite busy we were seated immediately (party of 2). Our server was a familiar face from Cantina Azteca and provided fast, friendly service. We enjoyed a Bloody Mary, bloody beer and a warm blueberry muffin to start - delicious! My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and said it was one of the best he's ever had and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. I had the avocado toast which was covered in candied maple bacon - it was sweet and savory and super tasty. We have been patrons of this location (Rey Azteca) for over a decade and while we miss our favorite little Mexican spot, the Brunch Corner is definitely hitting the mark. I'll be honest that I didn't have super high expectations of this place but it happened to be on our way somewhere else and we have never been so we decided to check it out. It was such a delicious meal! Nothing super fancy but just really well cooked food. One of the best benedicts I've had in recent time, everything was cooked perfectly and they weren't skimpy on the hollandaise! Our kids shared the Sunrise Brunch Sweets plate which is double the amount as the kids plate but cheaper to get this one plate than two kids plates. The pancakes were so thick and fluffy! I also really liked the chicken fried steak that my husband ordered. We were worried it could be dry but it definitely was not at all. The servers were very nice here as well. We met our Cousin's for brunch today from a friends recommendation. She was right, we did have a great brunch. The menu has many different options, all looking delicious. The service was excellent and the ambiance is festive and bright! The staff worked well with each other. The reason for 4 stars= I ordered the burrito with carnitas. Everything was delicious except for the tortilla. It was very tough on the top. I should've asked for a steak knife. The black beans were sooooo delicious.
