Skip's Kitchen is pretty damn good if you looking for a bombdigity burger The vibe here is incredible, great music playing, an awesome outdoor seating setup, and just a really cool energy overall. What really sets them apart is their customer service. The cashier was a super awesome, genuine guy who clearly loves his job and treats everyone like a regular. They also have this awesome game where if you pick out of 52 deck of cards to try and get the Joker card, your meal is free! I was soooooo damn close and pulled the King of Hearts lol. Amazing food, great people, and a fun experience. I'll definitely be back to try for that Joker again!

Found our way to Skip's based on great Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. When we said it was our first time there, Cooper went WAY above and beyond and gave us the red-carpet treatment! He shared the specials and what Skip's Kitchen is known for (their burgers). I'm a fairly picky eater so I was able to make modifications and substitutions without judgement. My cousin and I couldn't decide so we got two items and shared. And then they split both items for us! All tables were taken inside but the covered outdoor seating was a great experience. They checked on us often to ensure we were satisfied and offered to refill our soft drinks frequently. Next time, I'm getting a milkshake! Saw one delivered to a customer sitting next to us in a frosty cold glass and it looked delicious!!! Highly recommend!

Update: food was fantastic! I had the mushroom burger! And my husband had the bacon cheddar burger. Each bite was satisfying and the meat was moist and just yummy! From the moment we walked in, the young man (Cooper) behind the counter was so engaging. Prices are good...soda IS NOT $5/cup! so happy about that!! Waiting now for meal and think we found a great neighborhood spot!

After driving by this place multiple times, we finally decided to check it out. We both had the western cheeseburger. The meat was cooked perfectly, and the burger was huge, even a little difficult to get my mouth around. But I'm not complaining. It was absolutely delicious. I ordered the onion rings and my wife had the sweet potato fries. Both were cooked perfectly. They make ordering fun and you draw from a deck of cards for your Order Number. If you pull a joker, your meal is free. I can't say enough good things about the two young ladies taking orders. They are super friendly and relational. I saw a lot of regulars coming in and it's easy to see why. They have a lot of seating inside and outside considering how busy they are. The outside areas have fans for the summer and heat lamps for the winter. Tables were clean and the interior and exterior is in great shape. Parking is somewhat limited, but easy to park on the street and walk over, which is what we did. Definitely a place you should try out.

A great locally owned casual dining restaurant. Great burgers and salads my chopped salad was delicious! Fresh lettuce, carrots, tomato Avocado, blackened chicken and more. They have a great kids menu too! The burgers are well seasoned and juicy. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. Service was fast and friendly. They do offer beer and wine options.

This is a nice, cozy burger joint in Carmichael. This is 5 stars because it's a great meal, it matches the vibe, and you get a personable experience at a decent price point. Interestingly, this recommendation came to me from someone in Chicago regarding places that I should try in Sacramento. I happened to be reviewing burger places that month, so I thought I would give this place to a try There is great seating inside. They appear to have a very nice front patio overlooking El Camino Ave. This is basic counter service with standard coca cola drink options. The food is brought out to you, which I always appreciate. Another nice. touch - the owner, can be seen walking around the restaurant rubbing elbows and kissing babies. He seems to be on a first name basis with quite a few patrons. The burger was great! Great thickness, a little pink (so, it was cooked appropriately), and a good ratio of condiments. Just a solid burger in a great, casual restaurant. I'm a sucker for waffle fries. I feel like fries can bring down a burger joint a star in my book.

    Didn't get the joker!

Great friendly service. Yes, they have let you pick a card and if you get a joker, your meal is on the house. No, I did not pick the joker. They're know for double grounded meat, and you can taste the difference in the texture. Burger was delicious and hot. They are also served with criss cut fries. It is bit far from where I live, but I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in Carmichael.

The service was very friendly! From the moment we walked in they were very attentive. We were taking about getting the beef Wellington sliders but hadn't ordered yet and they were already calling it out to the kitchen to get it started, then confirmed when we ordered, that we were getting it. Apparently it takes longer to make (probably took like 15-20 minutes to get when all was said and done). We also ordered the skips burger with waffle fries. They also saw that we didn't order anything else and easier us if we wanted to half our burger cut in half, which was super attentive of them. We sat ourselves down and our burgers came out quite quickly. The bun was soft and had a nice sheen/glazy appearance. The burger itself is default medium cooked. It was a little bloody, but the flavor was good. Overall the burger was done really well, had a nice flavor balance and came out so fresh. It almost reminded me of in-n-out in some ways but so much better. The waffle fries were very crispy and was well salted. The salt was kinda chunky! I wished I had more fries through The beef wellington came out hot and fresh. The outside is a puff pastry and theres pieces of tender beef inside. This was also very well seasoned. I didn't try the sauce but I heard it was like a vinaigrette. Restaurant was small, and busy, but there was still adequate seating. There's two bathrooms inside, they were clean. Parking is kind of limited in the lot, but there's also street parking. Overall, I would highly recommend Skip's Kitchen!

My lunch date, Coco. I love a place that allows well-behaved dogs on the patio.

OMG! How have I missed this place!! I have lived in the area a couple of years and have driven by but never stopped. Today, on the way home from an errand, I pulled in to have lunch. I had an amazing cheeseburger (actually cooked TO ORDER) and my lunch date had a hamburger, no buns, no condiments. Both were - by far - the best I have had in forever..., I mean forever... I will be returning often and, once I get through every single item on this menu, I will update my review. For now, get in here ASAP for yummy yummy yummy food!

The experience at Skip's Kitchen was fantastic! My date and I saw a video of their scrumptious burgers on TIKTOK and decided to stop by. The menu did not disappoint. Skip's son did an outstanding job answering any questions we had while taking our order. We've never had medium well burgers with a little pink before, so we were anxious to try them. The space feels extremely welcoming, with two TVs showing sports, and an authentic restaurant vibe that smells like home cooked food. There is an inside area and an outside area of the restaurant. The outside area is sweet for chilling during a nice summer night, or with a a big party. We ordered the western BBQ burger, garlic parmesan fries, and Mac puppies. The burger is tasty, yet soft and cooked perfectly. The fries are crisp, and we both wished we had ordered more Mac puppies (5 breaded Mac and cheese bites). During and after the meal we shared great conversation with Skip himself, while he told us information about the restaurant's history. 10/10 food experience!

Out running errands with my brother and he asked me to find a nice spot for lunch. Google Maps showed Skip's Kitchen was nearby so decided to give it a try. Immediate impression was positive. The owner (Skip) was running the front counter and greeting every customer that walked in. After looking over their menu we decided on the Bacon Cheeseburger and the Western burger. Both with crosscut fries. I noticed they had one of my favorite beers on tap so I ordered the Deschutes Black Butte Porter (served in an ice cold glass ) and my brother opted for a fountain soda. We picked our card from the deck (Joker gets a free meal) and sat at our table. Food arrived pretty quickly. Burgers were cooked to perfection and the fries were hot and tasty. Overall this was an excellent stop and we look forward to returning. Kudus to Skip and his team for creating a welcoming atmosphere and a place to get good food fast.

Finally stopped in for the highlyrecommended burgers at Skip's kitchen. There's a much larger dining area than I expected from driving by and the outdoor seating is ample as well. By the time 12:15pm on a Monday rolled around there was no seating, the place was absolutely packed with happy customers. The manager, possibly the owner (or possibly Skip himself?) was super animated and helpful and greeted every single person as he ran around, making sure everybody had what they needed took orders made suggestions filled up sodas and made our dining experience top-notch. He was back at the register to take our order and explained that the burgers are served quite pink unless you order them well done where you will not see any pink. This was very helpful because at another burger place I ordered mine medium, and it seemed like it was raw, so I made sure to ask to have it done medium well with ever so slight amount of pink which it was done perfectly. My dining friends said even if the burger didn't taste good that they'd be back just because of the happy manager's enthusiasm. We ordered the mushroom Swiss Burger, the Western Burger, and the Asian salad with Diet Cokes. The Swiss Burger was the best ever, the Western Hamburger was pretty darn good. Our sweet potato fries (ordered crip) were tasty but could've been better if really crisp. The plain Asian Salad was very good( optional beef or chicken could have been added). I can't wait to come back and try the steak sandwich and to experience watching the manager's happy demeanor and awesome service again.
