I was honestly impressed tonight. I ordered online for pickup, arrived at the designated time, and was greeted by one of Skip's awesome employees. Not only did he recognize me and mention it had been a while, but he also asked about my Thanksgiving plans and even offered a quick "pull a joker card" moment. Such a friendly touch. My wife ordered the Asian Salad and I went with the Swiss Mushroom Burger. We also grabbed the mini beef Wellingtons -- absolutely to die for! We'll definitely be coming back, hopefully to dine in next time. And to my surprise, the restaurant was packed when I stopped by, which says a lot. I met up with my daughter and her boyfriend for dinner at Skip's Kitchen, one of their favorite go-to spots and I totally understand why. The place was busy, but the customer service was on point from start to finish. They have this fun little tradition where you draw a card from a deck at the register. If you pull a joker, your entire order is free. Unfortunately, my luck didn't show up that day and no joker for me, but it added a fun touch to the experience. I ordered the wings and a bacon cheddar burger cooked medium, with a side of garlic parmesan criss cut fries. Everything came out hot, fresh, and exactly how I ordered it. I like my burgers with a little pink in the center, and most places overcook them even when you ask for medium but not here. They got it just right. I was so eager to dive into the food that I didn't get a chance to snap any pictures, but I plan on going back soon and will be sure to update with photos next time. The service really stood out. Even though they have a self serve soda fountain, the staff still came around to check on tables and refill drinks. It's little things like that that make a place memorable. As we were heading out, the owner personally came over to thank us for coming in and asked how everything was. He genuinely cared and we ended up chatting for about 15 to 20 minutes about his business model and his background. Super friendly and passionate about what he does. Classic and delicious burger and fries! I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and it was juicy and cooked to perfection. The criss cross cut fries were also tasty and crisp! Skips is a great place to eat. The food is freshly prepared and of good quality. It's small, an old Dairy Queen I think, cozy inside, but has a large outside covered area. The customer service is amazing!! Staff is always asking if you need a refill or if there is anything else they can get you. The only unfortunate part of Skips... is how far away we live from it. AWESOME vibe, total old school hamburger shop. Super great service, from the chance at a FREE MEAL every time you order, to the friendliness of their front of house, to the most obvious -- an INSANELY DELICIOUS, classic burger. The photo does none of this justice, but the fries were crispy and so fresh, and the burger was perfectly made, and all around tasted like fresh, great ingredients. Had a hankerin' for a juicy, large burger and since I was in the area, decided to try this place. It did not disappoint! I decided to try the Three Cheese burger. It did not take long for it to come out to the table once ordered inside at the counter. The brie, blue and provolone cheeses drenched the top of the meat. The bun was fresh and held together well. Lettuce, tomatoe, red onions and a delightful special sauce complimented the patty well. The patty was a decent size, a bit more than a quarter lb it seemed. Once I bit into it, the juice dripped out and all the cheeses made it so delicious! A side of perfectly fried, crinkle cut potatoes came with it. I was seated outside since I had my dog. Fantastic service and even better food. We were at the hobby shop next door and saw that the restaurant was full of people eating and enjoying their meal. After a Quick Look on Yelp their 4.7 stars got me interested, a look at their menu made us decide this was going to be lunch. I ordered their steak sandwich with onion rings and he ordered their original burger with their Parmesan waffle fries. Oh my goodness. A whole cubed up medium rare steak with sautéed mushrooms and onions on a soft French roll. Best steak sandwich I've had. Definitely agree with ALL of these positive reviews! Food/Service/Staff!! Stepping in, I felt like I just came home to visit family after a long time away! My partner and I came in on Saturday and were fortunate to grab seats in a fairly decent amount of time, as it's just a smidge busy during the weekend. Soooo probably best to come in earlier if that's not your kinda thing. My partner ordered the Mushroom & Swiss Burger and I ordered the BOM (Bacon & Onion Marmalade) with upgraded Garlic Parmesan crosscut fries. Burgers/Sliders were cooked medium rare, which is how we prefer. Fries were actually very crispy, which was a pleasant surprise as they can become soggy after a while. And yes, even a draw for the Joker (Which I was extremely lucky and fortunate to have drawn!) cards are also used as your table number while you wait for your meal. All in all, this was a very pleasant meal and experience, yes a little busy, but great experience and everyone at Skips is absolutely amazing! read more

How often do you walk into a restaurant and are greeted by none other than the owner? I can't remember the last time this has happened, or to be direct if it has ever happened. Skip extended his hand and introduced himself asking for my name. He said they were known for their burgers and, with that, I chose the "Skip's Original" with American cheese. The burger was as it should be, and as Skip himself described was a "3 napkin burger". It was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing! Could have used more of the house made ranch for the sweet potato fries, but the fries were also great on their own. I am a sucker for a from scratch kitchen and the service with the Owner on site, taking orders, cleaning tables and remembering my name thanking me for coming by and shaking my hand as I walked out the door make this a spot I will definitely return to again! read more

I have been doing work down the road off and on and i have been visiting every chance i get. Everything about this restaurant is top notch, service and food. Something different about their food, quality ingredients and always fresh. A few tvs in the place with sports, and the owner is probably one of the coolest guy's you will meet, all of his employees are great too.
