Random stop here with no reservations luckily they allowed into stay with the stipulations that we finish by 8:30, no problem. Easily THE best meal here in Paris, very refined and special, and reasonably priced we got out with 4 glasses excellent Pinot Noir and appetizer of slow cooked pork in a savory rich brown gravy with veggies So So good. Entres were salmon and beef filet with Marrow bone, just outstanding. Desserts creme brûlée and a take on chocolate mousse with reduced apricot sauce. Wow. WOW, was fun to watch the owner and his 2 compatriots make this place hum. Can't wait to return. Merci for caring !!

The most amazing experience. We stumbled across this cozy restaurant on our evening walk. Such a great meal and time. The service was amazing, our waiter was beyond patient, so helpful with the menu, and very friendly making conversation with my family and I. We each ordered the prix fix which was very reasonably priced considering the quality and portion you receive with the courses. The timing of each course as well was perfect, we had a great dining experience and never felt rushed. And the food was so, so good. This is a must try in Paris.

After a long day of site seeing and about 27k steps logged we wanted someplace close to our hotel for dinner and Les Bougresses fit the bill. Very nice rustic interior and two guys taking orders and serving in a very informal. The meals were delicious, but the starters stood out as amazing. The beef carpaccio was melt in your mouth outstanding and the prosciutto with provolone tomatoes and basil was presented as a loaf or terrine. That was the star on the night. Nice place quiet street.

Came here for dinner one evening. We made a reservation, which was a good idea, the place filled up quickly. For starters I got the salad with goat cheese and my husband the soup. My husband got the hanger steak and I got the ravioli. The ravioli was amazing! So delish. We also got a bottle of wine with dinner, and that was good as well. Service was okay - my husband got scolded because of his napkin. It was kinda weird, but they were mad he placed his napkin on top of his plate when he was done eating. I've never been anywhere where you get chewed out for where you place your napkin, but okay! Lol. For dessert my husband got the cream brûlée and I got the cheese. Both were yummy.

Steak and shrimp ravioli

Quaint restaurant with great service and a shrimp ravioli that melts in your mouth. This wonderful hidden gem is a great choice! Next time I'm in Paris, I'll be coming back here.

We were recommended this spot by a friend, so we made Les Bougresses our first stop in Paris. The food was so incredible, we regretted making it our first stop because we thought nothing could compare! The BEST thing on the menu and you MUST order is the fried goat cheese entree (appetizer). After a week in France, we concluded this was the best overall dish we were served. Les Bourgresses is a must stop restaurant in Paris, and we will return!

Make sure you make a reservation!!! The food was amazing. Service was superb. Staff speaks fluent English. $28 set menus include 1 appetizer, 1 entree and 1 full size dessert.

Great food in Le Marais. Excellent service and quaint atmosphere. And awesome for kids.

If you are in Le Marais, and looking for a great, reasonably priced meal, this is your place! We were a family of five (with three young children), and Les Bougresses was perfect for us for a wonderful dinner. A truly great find with outstanding service, wonderful wine, and very good food at reasonable prices (and great for kids). Les Bougresses is a small french restaurant in the heart of Le Marais...it has a warm atmosphere and the waiter was really nice and welcoming. They have a great 25€ menu which consists of an entrée, a main plate and a dessert. In particular, the lentils, the pasta and the salmon were excellent. The meat was just average as was the tart, though the creme brulee was excellent. A good 4-star experience, and a great value for the price.

A staple restaurant in Le Marais. it's quaint, friendly, and the service is spectacular. On a Tuesday night for a party of 2, we did not make a reservation and we were seated immediately, however the restaurant was relatively full at 8:30 PM. - We ordered a delicious 50 cL bottle of red wine for about 14 euros. - I had the mozzarella jambon dish - it could quite possibly be the last meal i'd like to eat on earth if i had the choice. - I also ordered the hen for my main course. it was again one of the most delicious, yet rich dishes i've ever had. the meat was cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful. - Lastly, and most importantly, my dad and I each ordered the chocolate cake dessert with raspberry sauce and ice cream. ooooohhhhweeeeee. it was the most decadent, enjoyable, warm, cold, ooey, gooey experience i've had. They really know how to make those. It's a must have when dining here.

A must. If I was to recommend a place in Paris, this would be it! Flavor is phenomenal and price is reasonable. I'd come back to Paris just to eat here again

We decided to dine at Les Bougresses after doing some extensive research on authentic French cuisine in Paris. Hidden, in some alley way, it does seem to be away from the tourist crowd and a spot for the locals although with the internet these days there is nothing a tourist can't find. The restaurant was rustic with its stone walls. It was warm and inviting and had a candlelit romantic atmosphere. Service was impeccable. As there was no English menu, the waitress was more than happy to translate the whole menu to us in English. With their help we were able to choose the following dishes from their a la carte menu. Starters: Oeufs en Meurette Raclette Savoyarde (in the mains section but we were greedy and ordered it as a starter) Mains Filet mignon Entrecôte poêlée (300g) The Oeufs en Meurette was a lovely dish of two poached eggs in a red wine sauce. The eggs were at its finest with its deep orange yolk and the sauce itself had many notes of flavour and seasoned well. We used the lovely complimentary bread to mop it up clean. The raclette savoyarde was a bowl of melted raclette cheese. It was beautiful, thick, smooth and very rich. Luckily we order it as a starter as for a main I would have expected more than one potato sliced in half for dipping. The accompanied salad was very refreshing, served with a simple dressing with vinegar notes that helped lighten the heaviness of the cheese. The cured meat was sliced thinly, full of flavour and perfect in saltiness. A great dish overall. My main, of fillet mignon, was slightly disappointing. The pork was quite dry and rough on the tongue although it was saved by the lovely generous gravy and wet creamy mash. The flavours were superb but for the price, and the pork being the main deal, we did expect more. For our other main we ordered the entrecôte, a 300g steak served with potato gratin and a side of fatty bone marrow. It was a very juicy cut of meat, tougher than usual but cooked perfect medium rare as requested. I would have liked more seasoning on the steak but together with the creamy potato gratin and portion of bone marrow, the dish was still a delight after mixing all the flavours and textures together. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Les Bougresses but it was not as enticing or memorable as we hoped it would be. There were a few too many improvements that could have been made here and there which could have been the reason. However I do agree it is a great place to discover a more in depth insight to French cuisine and not just the usual duck confit or boeuf bourguignon. Service definitely helps the place succeed and their creative dishes and flavours will have people returning.

Chocolate dessert in raspberry sauce with vanilla ice cream. I don't normally eat dessert but how I not!

Excellent, excellent food. Unbeatable value especially for the price. The duck and steak with bone marrow were delish. The chocolate cake, cheeses and creme brûlée were so good! And the service.... Wow! I this place! Our family went there for a birthday celebration. We told the waiter about it and BAMM! Lights go out, birthday music comes on and the Roman candle comes out, lit like the 4th of July! What a surprise. Everyone was clapping and smiling. We were all so thrilled. These guys are the best... Make reservations - the hotel can do it for you. It's a cozy place; hence the personalized service.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.

It was a cute little spot with plenty of seating and a small bar right up front. The problem was that it's so cramped in there. They fully pack that place pretty tight in there. While they take walk-ins, they were so busy that had we not had a reservations we likely wouldn't have gotten a table in a reasonable timeframe. I think we waited about 15-20 minutes outside until our table was ready. As for service, while they weren't exactly rude, they for sure weren't exactly friendly either. This was also a spot that didn't cater too much to tourists by having English on the menu. I don't fault them for that though, it's their country. I would recommend having a translator app at the ready though with French downloaded. As for the food it was a bit of a letdown for me. We had a number of items to share with each other. Without having reliable signal in Paris, it was hard to use the translator app so I'll do my best with the foods. We ordered a ratatouille (don't think it was a traditional one though), a shrimp dish, white sauce pasta, escargot, duck breast and the chocolate mousse. The ratatouille was OK but was just like a roughly chopped cooked vegetable dish. The shrimp dish was fine as well but nothing standoutish. Our favorite dish was my friend's white sauce pasta; it was flavorful, rich and decadent but somehow not overpowering. The escargot, as expected was not good for me, but "When in Rome" (or Paris haha). It was just a weird chewy Thing that just tasted like oil and garlic with whatever herbs they used. I especially was off put by the little grains of sand or broken shell that was a part of each bite. The duck breast was a little bland if not for the sauce and it was also a tad tough as well. I will say the chocolate mousse was super rich and sweet; I couldn't eat that whole order by myself but it's nice to share for a little end of meal treat.
